Chloe Sevigny in Opening Ceremony: hilarious, busted and wonderful?

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 08:26 AM PDT

Chloe Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny has been all over the place lately, and I'm sorry I'm only covering photos of her today. Because Chloe Sevigny is a national treasure, truly. I want to believe that Chloe's style, her "look" comes with an inherent wink and nudge. I want to believe that Chloe is in on the joke, that she has fun with her style, that she's not taking any of this seriously. Because if this is really how she pulls it together, if she's really TRYING to look awesome… well, then that's a different story. Anyway, these are new photos of Chloe at last night's HBO premiere of Girls. Can we have a conversation about Chloe's hair? Because this is not working. It's not just about the bangs – it's about EVERYTHING. This is one of the worst haircuts ever. As for Chloe's dress, it's Opening Ceremony. It's pretty ugly, but I could see how it might be kind of cute if Chloe had simply styled it differently.

You know who took the Fug Crown at this HBO event, though? Claire Danes in this hideous Preen dress. How is this NOT some budget disaster made by an 11-year-old who watches too much Project Runway?

Claire Danes

And here are some shots of Chloe at a "Fashion Cares" event last week. Love her lovely drunk-face. LOVE. If anyone else was flashing their bra in a see-through polka-dotted mess of a blouse, I would be gagging. On Chloe, it's so avant-garde!

Octomom on going on food stamps: “I feel ashamed, but who cares how I feel?”

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 08:03 AM PDT

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Octomom Nadya Suleman and her caterpillar eyebrows were on The Today Show this morning defending her decision to go on $2,000 a month food stamps for the sake of her children. I know she squandered her money and I know she’s lying about wanting to have just “one more” kid after the six she had her mother raise for her (she had 12 embryos implanted for God’s sake), but she sounds lucid and genuine at first. Despite all I know about her, she starts to win me over with a story about how she’s embarrassed relying on government assistance and how it’s for her kids. Then she rambles on in psychobabble, like she always does, I notice how badly her lips are trout pouting (I made that into a verb), and the manic behavior starts. She claims people tell her she’s “an inspiration in regard to how to remain strong being faced with such incredible impediments and adversity.” She created her outlandish situation, and she’s going to keep spinning it into something noble.

“I still am working as hard as I possibly can to support them,'' she told TODAY on Thursday about going on public assistance. "I made that call reluctantly.

“I feel ashamed, but who cares how I feel. It’s 100 percent about my children.”

Suleman told NBC News that she for the past two months, she has received $2,000 a month in food assistance from a program in California that gives help to large families making less than $119,000 a year in order to sustain her family of 14 children. Suleman had six children before giving birth to octuplets in 2009 through in-vitro fertilization.

She hopes to be off the assistance soon.

“People are saying, ‘Nadya, people are thinking you have been on (assistance),''' she told Matt Lauer. "’Who cares if you even do this? They thought you were on it already.’ My priority is my children — their health, their well-being, their safety. I'm giving myself another 2 months to be on it.”

Suleman recently posed topless for a British magazine, which netted her $8,000. According to the Department of Agriculture, it takes roughly $9,000 a month to support 14 children.

Suleman said she is creating an online venture called "Octomom TV'' that will raise money through advertising and working for "Dial-A-Star,'' which purports to allow people to talk to a "real celebrity.''

She said she will not do pornography, even if the offer was "100 million dollars.''

"I won't touch other human flesh,'' Suleman said. "The only flesh I'm touching is my own. I would never, never accept anything. I will not lose my grip of my deeply indoctrinated morals and values.

"Every choice we parents make is going to significantly affect our children for the rest of our lives. It's going to haunt them forever. I have to be the ultimate positive role model.''

Since the birth of the octuplets, Suleman has come under fire for adding so many to her already large family.

"I needed to prove to myself that I could,'' she said. "In my mind I was doing well with the six. It's three books in and of itself to get back to what my rationalization was, why I wanted one more after six. But nonetheless, they're here. Who cares how I feel? Who cares about me? It's 100 percent about my children.''

Suleman's financial difficulties also raise the possibility of the state potentially taking away her children for their own well-being.
"That will never happen, and I can guarantee you on that,'' she said.

"Hundreds of people, random people, call (social services) on a daily basis, and it's sick and sad and to me. (It's) unbelievably fascinating in regard to humanity, how many people are foaming at the mouth for my children to be taken away from me. The saddest part is 15 years from now when they're 18 and legal and in college, people will still be foaming at their mouth for them to be taken.''

Suleman also claims to have received "thousands and thousands'' of death threats.

"It would take 14 books to even begin to tell you a few layers of the onion,'' she said. "There's multiple onions to my life. Not only do they not only know about one or two layers about what's really going on in my life, but 95 percent of what's been out from the beginning has been erroneous.''

[From MSNBC.com]

The stuff at the end is why she never earned that book deal we kept hearing about. She’s probably incapable of editing herself, and she’s such a ball of crazy that no one was willing to do it for her.

Nadya claimed that social services will never break up her family and that she’s buddy-buddy with them. She said “We all talk, we’ve talked for years. They laugh too at the situation.” Can you imagine her having even a casual friendly relationship with anyone? She probably talks constantly on the phone and they put it down, get a cup of coffee, come back and she’s still talking.

Now that she’s on food stamps at least her kids are getting fed, and I’ll leave it at that.

Charlize Theron covers Vogue UK, talks about Jackson, “the coolest kid ever”

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 08:02 AM PDT

I think this is one of the prettiest pictorials I've ever seen of Charlize Theron. I like this better than her last "wet look" appearance on American Vogue too – Vogue UK does more challenging photo shoots, I think. So, Charlize appears on the May cover of Vogue UK (photos by Patrick Demarchelier), likely to promote her two films coming out in June, Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus (squeeee!). In the early interview excerpts, Charlize talks about adopting her son Jackson and her early days as a model:

She's always wanted to be a mom: ‘I've always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I've always known I wanted a family.’

Her mom pressured her too: ‘I don't think my mom could wait any more!'

Jackson: ‘Jackson is incredible, the greatest gift,’ she added. ‘He is the coolest kid ever.’

Who she admires: ‘I hope to be like my mom,’ she told the magazine. ‘Fair, tough, loving and supportive. My mom has made it possible for me to be who I am. Our family is everything. Her greatest skill was encouraging me to find my own person and own independence.’

Vulnerability: “All my characters have to be people with a capacity for vulnerability, a weakness. I have never met a human being who doesn’t have vulnerability.”

Born a decade too late to really make it as a model: ‘I was too tall, too big, too late for the supermodel look of the Eighties. Kate Moss and all the tiny, grungy girls had just become fashionable, and I didn't fit the bill.’

Diet and exercise: ‘I'm sure there are women who never have to worry about what they eat. But I do. I exercise a lot, and I hike a lot. My mom and I hike at least three times a week.’

[Via The Mail]

She sounds peaceful. Of course, she's never really been crazy or anything. You sometimes hear stories about her being bitchy, but she's not neurotic or anything less than extremely self-contained. I suspect these basic-issue quotes about Jackson ("He is the coolest kid ever") will be some of the only things we hear about her son. Of course, I could be wrong. Maybe she'll go all Jennifer Garner and we'll be seeing photo-ops of Charlize and Jackson for months and years to come. But I doubt it.

Samantha Brick’s “arrogance, air of superiority” called out in a new TV interview

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 07:32 AM PDT

Samantha Brick is now a global "celebrity". All because of being an arrogant, delusional dumbass. Brick wrote an essay in the Daily Mail two days ago in which she claimed that her extreme and overwhelming beauty has caused her so much suffering at the hands of petty, jealous (and older) women who fear her gorgeousness. You can read my highlights from the piece here. Brick then followed up that article after she was soundly slammed right and left. Brick claimed, "If Brad Pitt were to say: ‘Yes, I’m a good-looking fella,’ then the world would nod sagely in agreement. But if Angelina Jolie uttered something along those lines, she’d be subject to the same foaming-at-the-mouth onslaught hurled at me yesterday." Beyond comparing herself to Angelina (FAIL), Brick is sort-of right: if Angelina (or Brad, for that matter) had said those things, she would be slammed – for being delusional, arrogant and for having a contemptible outlook on life.

Anyway, Brick sat down for an interview on ITV's morning show, and this interview is a GEM. First, the gentleman and lady (Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford) interviewing Brick are absolutely hilarious and on-target. But there's also a professional psychiatrist there too, and she makes excellent points about Brick's fallacy-filled essay:

I think the best points were made regarding Brick's arrogance, and there's a huge LMAO moment around the 6-minute mark. There's a difference between being a self-confidant woman and being an arrogant, superior, self-pitying piece of work. Whenever Brick's intellectual arguments are questioned, she falls back into her comfort zone of "Everyone hates me because I'm gorgeous." When given the last word, Brick says: "This whole experience has proven my thesis… Women do not like attractive women. This is proven by the thousands of vile messages on my personal email account, on Twitter, and on my telephone answer machine." You can read more quotes from the interview here, but really, that video clip is worth a watch.

Jennifer Love Hewitt: I’m single, Adam Levine is single, we’d be cute

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 06:24 AM PDT

Jennifer Love Hewitt is promoting her new TV series, “The Client List,” which premieres this Sunday on Lifetime. As part of that she’s doing interviews where she’s talking about – what else – her love life. In a new interview with Ellen, Hewitt points out that “The Voice” judge Adam Levine is single and that she’d like to date him.

JENNIFER LOVE HEWITT makes an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres" on Thursday, April 5th. Ellen talks with Jennifer about being single and what Hollywood star she would like to date.

Ellen: Are you in a relationship, right now?

Jennifer: I am not. I am very single.

Ellen: You're very single. Is that good, very single?

Jennifer: It's good. Yes, it is. It's good.

Ellen: Do you have you're eye on anybody?

Jennifer: Well, yeah, I always have my eyes out… I just read two days ago that Adam Levine is single again…I'm just saying.

Ellen pretends to call him…

Jennifer: Look, we would be cute…(photo of Adam). His haircut is hot.

[From EllenTV.com received via email]

When it comes to Adam Levine, all J.Love has to do is Google the guy. He’s a notorious player, he “allegedly” dumped Jessica Simpson by text message, and he just admitted on Howard Stern to regularly having unprotected sex. How is he at all a catch?

I know this is J.Love’s go-to topic, her love life. Why does she have to be so obvious about it, though? She pursued Bachelor Ben Flajnik (after he got rejected by Ashley and before he landed his own segment), she admits having engagement rings picked out and visiting them every month, and she even publicly pressured a boyfriend to propose to her – really she did this.

In a “What’s in My Purse” inset in US Weekly this week, J.Love shows several items that are all about attracting men. Some of her purse contents she’s willing to share:

I love Booty Parlor’s Kissaholic Aphrodisiac Breath Spray. You never know when a makeout moment is coming!

I carry McCormick’s Pure Vanilla – the baking kind – and dab it on my neck. Men are attracted to the scent! One time, I put it on and four different guys were like, ‘You smell amazing!‘”

My passport is always with me. I love to feel like at any moment, I could hop a plane and go someplace exciting!

There’s a reason why all the women’s dating advice books say basically the same thing. It’s not about being a doormat, being always available (to travel, etc.) or announcing you like a guy. It’s about being cautious and figuring out if someone is right for you. If they are, they’re not going to bolt because you weren’t clingy enough. Hewitt’s like the poster girl for what not to do when you’re looking for love. Obviously it has little to do with how hot you are, since she’s a knockout.

Here’s J.Love on Ellen. The relationship talk happens around 2:20.

And here she is at The Client List launch party last night in her standard Leger bandage dress. Credit: Brian To/WENN.com. Ellen photo credit: Michael Rozman/Warner Bros.

Jeremy Renner isn’t gay: “I want my personal life to be personal, it’s not f–king true”

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 06:15 AM PDT

God, I love Jeremy Renner. I find him incredibly sexy, probably because the little guy has some mystique about him. He got his biggest break when he was 38 years old (The Hurt Locker), and since then, he's been surprisingly good at managing his press. You hear the gay rumors about him all the time, but that hasn't deterred from his "butch" image. When boyish man-children are invading superhero costumes as far as the eye can see, it's dudes like Jeremy and Jon Hamm taking the "Real Man" mantle. Renner is grizzled. Renner is sun-damaged. Renner knows how to fix your car and refinish your floors. I would imagine that he would know how to clean your pipes, too. Speaking of, Renner covers the new issue of The Hollywood Reporteryou can read the full article here. He's promoting his part in the new Jason Bourne film (The Bourne Legacy) as well as The Avengers. Here are some highlights from the piece:

Money stuff: Even though Hurt Locker was gaining steam at the time, Renner received a mere six-figures for Avengers (he also did a cameo in Thor), but will get more if Marvel exercises its option to star him in up to six other films. As for Bourne, if Renner continues with the franchise (he's agreed to two more films), the $5 million he received for Legacy will zoom to an asking price of $10 million-plus — and might reach as much as the $20 million Matt Damon received for the series' most recent outing in 2007.

The gay rumors: For Renner, Internet speculation already has centered around whom he's dating (everyone from Jessica Simpson to Scarlett Johansson, if you believe the tabs) to his sexual orientation. "I want my personal life to be personal, and it's not f—ing true," he says of the suppositions. "And I don't care if you're talking about things that are true, you're still talking about my personal life. How about I go peek in your window, take what underwear you wore last night, whose husband you were f—ing, and shove that in the megaphone throughout your neighborhood? How does that feel?"

His past relationships (with women): As to his long-term involvements, he says he had one five-year relationship with a woman while in his 20s and another that ended two years ago after 4 1⁄2 years. He met that girlfriend, Jes Macallan — who, as her Twitter account reveals, married actor Jason Gray-Stanford (Monk) on March 17 — when she was 23 and working at a film festival in Florida; subsequently, she decided to go into acting. "That was part of the issue," says Renner. "I was going through the Hurt Locker campaign and she's like, 'Where do I get headshots?'"

That Thailand knife-fight: "It was a silly, tragic accident that happened to this guy," explains Renner, noting that he had gone to Phuket for a break when an acquaintance made a comment and "got attacked in a bar fight at 4 in the morning. He was saying stuff, and 20 people jumped on him. I was in flip-flops. I don't do bar fights. Did he deserve to get stabbed and almost murdered by 20 people? F— no." (Six local men were arrested.)

Crazy Christmas story: Renner tells the story of how, on Christmas Eve a few years back, when he was with his family in a bar, "This guy chokes me with the scarf I was wearing. He called me a fag 'cause I was wearing a scarf! Then he shoved my sister and I got behind him and I choked him out — put him to sleep."

Hesitating before taking the role in The Bourne Legacy: "It was a game-changer in anonymity," he says. "I had to consider how this was going to affect everyone I love — especially myself. The star thing, the celebrity thing is new to me. I don't want to be a good celebrity, a good f—ing star. I want to be a good human being."

Advice from Tom Cruise: Renner prepared intensely for The Avengers, training for six weeks in hand-to-hand combat and Filipino stick-fighting and keeping in mind the advice Tom Cruise gave him while making Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol: "Since you are doing all your stuff, there is no second string and you have to do due diligence not to get injured."

On-set injuries: On Bourne, "I got injured kicking a table and missing and hyper-extending my leg! I had to get an MRI." He also hurt his arm, which "will be f— ed up for a while. I can't really grab anything" with one hand. Ditto on Avengers. "He's an amazing fighter — his fight work is wonderful: precise, heroic, and you seldom have to double him," says director Joss Whedon. "But one day he just turned wrong and his whole body shut down. He could not do anything. He was in enormous pain, and we had to shut that sequence down and shoot it a couple of weeks later."

He may do Broadway, but only if he doesn't get cast opposite Michael Fassbender: The actor may do a run on Broadway of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with his Avengers co-star Johansson, but only if Ridley Scott doesn't hire him for his upcoming The Counselor.

His poor dead puppy: In March, Renner's 8-month-old French bulldog, Franklin, died of a heart attack. For a moment, Renner's eyes go moist because the puppy touches on the singular problem that has most bedeviled him the past two years. Says Renner, "He was my solution for being so lonely.”

[From The Hollywood Reporter]

See? He seems like a nice guy. I like the "I don't do bar fights" line – it speaks to his emotional maturity. And he's not gay! Hopefully. Probably. Definitely? Sure. Whatever, I'm buying it. I think he's into girls, big time. I think he talks about loneliness and he uses those intense, world-weary puppy-dog eyes and the panties just slide off of whatever girl he's working on. And he might work with Fassbender in The Counselor too! OMG.

Michelle Williams gets the Jennifer Aniston victimhood treatment by Us Weekly

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 04:33 AM PDT

I don't even have the energy to give Us Weekly's cover story the proper hyper-dramatic eye roll it so desperately needs. Michelle Williams is "finally letting go of the pain and allowing herself to love again" after Heath Ledger. This would have been a decent story in the months before Heath's death, when both Heath and Michelle were seeing other people. This was definitely a better story when Michelle began dating again about a year after Heath died, when she counted directors Spike Jonze and Cary Fukunaga as steady boyfriends. But because Cary and Spike aren't regulars on your television set like Jason Segel, I guess we're all supposed to just wholeheartedly buy into Michelle's second virginity. It's not that her grief bugs me – she has every right to grieve. What bugs is that I feel like Michelle uses her grief as a PR angle. I feel like I'm being sold Michelle's grief, prepackaged in Us Weekly and People Magazine.

Anyway, some highlights from Us Weekly's cover story:

*On March 25, Michelle and Jason Segel had an early dinner in the Brooklyn restaurant Rucola. "Jason had his arm around her," said a source. Four friends joined them for the meal, and Jason paid the check.

*A source close to Jason says that "romantically, this kind of happened overnight!"

*After Heath died, Michelle said she "felt like a walking open wound." A source close to Ledger says, "She was caught up in a big tornado and she had a lot to recover from."

*Michelle really likes Jason. A source close to Michelle says, "Jason is supersweet. He makes Michelle laugh and feel good about herself." And Jason is good with Matilda too.

*Michelle is already telling friends that she "loves" Jason.

*Busy Phillips set them up. Busy talked up Jason to Michelle, then she set up a dinner between the three of them, and Busy left "conspicuously early." After Busy left, Michelle and Jason sat there for hours drinking, talking and laughing.

*When Jason was in New York in March, he stayed with Michelle in her Brooklyn brownstone.

*Source: "Michelle doesn't do flings. Every person she gets involved with is someone she can entertain the possibility of spending the rest of her life with."

*Russell Brand once referred to Jason Segel (who apparently was/is a two-pack-a-day chain smoker) as "a falcon among gulls when it comes to womanizing."

*Michelle finds Jason charming, romantic, funny and kind. Jason reportedly has "curbed" his bad habits – "He has made an effort to clean up his act… he's been trying to be more of a grownup lately. He is taking care of himself more, exercising, eating right and dressing better. Basically, not acting like a frat boy anymore."

*Jason thinks Michelle is "classy." He was worried about introducing her to his friends because he doesn't want anything to go wrong.

*She dated Spike Jonze from summer 2008 to late 2009. A source says, "When she met Spike, she was alone, sad and crying often."

*At some point, Michelle seriously considering marrying a platonic friend – "They didn't really have strong feelings for each other…it was so Matilda could have more stability and a father."

*After that, Michelle began dating "a–holes who didn't treat her right," says an insider. One of those "a–holes," according to the source, was Cary Fukunaga. They broke up, according to this pro-Michelle source, because Cary "didn't want to step up and be a stepfather to Matilda. He was just looking for an unserious situation."

*Michelle also hooked up with a cinematographer in Michigan (while she was working on Oz: The Great and Powerful) last year.

[From Us Weekly, print edition]

At one point when Us Weekly cues the violins for Michelle, they reference that Vanity Fair article about Heath's death, in which several people close to Heath said negative things about Michelle and how she treated Heath in the final months, and how she denied him access to Matilda (you can read some highlights from the VF piece here). Us Weekly notes that Michelle never deigned to answer those criticisms, but the way the issue is framed in the tabloid, it's like Michelle is being persecuted. There's even a reference to “knives” being plunged into Michelle's back.

Here's a real question: why is Michelle Williams suddenly getting the Jennifer Aniston-Victimhood Tabloid Treatment? We get it, she's sympathetic. She would be more sympathetic if she wasn't trying to force us to see her as sympathetic.

Ali Lohan, 18, “looks terrible, like she has an eating disorder,” says Radar

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 04:32 AM PDT

We haven't had any Ali Lohan stories since last December, when it seemed like Ali was everywhere. She's a "model" you know. And she's a celebrity in her own right, which is why she made an appearance on an issue of Page Six Magazine, in one of the sketchiest interviews I've ever read. Ali comes across as a sober girl, but a girl who has been raised by cracked-out wolves. She's got the crack-paranoia, the crack lies, the secrecy. Back in December, critics were also putting Ali and the Family Lohan on blast because Ali seemed to have drastically reduced in size. She's always been a tall girl, but everyone started concern-trolling her about her weight. So this story is a repeat, sort of. Radar is once again claiming that Ali "looks like she has an eating disorder.

First, a breakdown of the photos I'm using in this post: December 12 (Ali in a red and white onesie), February 12, 2012 (Ali in a black t-shirt), March 8, 2012 (Ali in jeans and a beige sweater), March 12, 2012 (Ali in jeans and a black jacket) and the black-and-white photos are from Terry Richardson's blog, sometime in late February or early March I think. I'm not seeing a huge difference in Ali's size from month to month. Yes, she looks very, very thin. She looked thin in December too. Personally, though, I'm more concerned with all of Ali's plastic surgery – she's starting to look like Paz de la Huerta! Radar is raising the red alert over this new photo of Ali – meh.

Aspiring model Ali Lohan was a startling sight when she stepped out in Hollywood this week, and RadarOnline.com has shocking photos of her latest weight loss crisis, which has sparked numerous nutritional experts to suspect she has an eating disorder.

At 5'8 1/2", Lindsay Lohan's little sister appears to be less than 100 pounds, Hamptons Diet creator Dr. Fred Pascatore exclusively told RadarOnline.com. "She looks terrible and it definitely seems like there is an eating disorder or super serious dieting going on, which she clearly doesn’t need," he revealed. "It is frightening."

Wearing a floral dress, black tights and platform boots, Ali's new blunt haircut accentuated her gaunt face and sunken cheeks during her coffee shop dash on Tuesday, where she stocked up on caffeine and low calorie fruit.

Nutritionist Majid Ali agreed that Ali is on a downward spiral. "Every time I see pictures of her she seems skinnier and pastier. I’m really suspicious of an eating disorder. You can see an emaciated body type like hers and the body consuming itself," he explained.

The 18-year-old first began looking extremely emaciated last September, reported RadarOnline.com, soon after signing a modeling contract.

While at the time many people expressed concern about her health, her troubled big sister – whose weight has dramatically yo-yoed in size due to personal and drug problems over the years – has stuck up for Ali saying she thinks she looks great.

The siblings enjoyed a blow out bash last Thursday at the Chateau Marmont to celebrate Lindsay's final progress report, where they partied with 45 guests until the early hours of the morning. Sadly, late nights like that won't help the teenager get on the healthy path that she needs, and may simply add to her troubles.

"She looks painfully thin, like there’s muscle wasting. In this photo, it’s hard to see any muscle development at all," health expert Jackie Keller, CEO of delivery meal service NutriFit told RadarOnline.com.

"Her limbs are stick-like, as is her torso," she explained, adding that very low body fat can make people susceptible to numerous health problems.

[From Radar]

Blah, blah, concern-troll, etc. Should Ali go back to solids? Of course. But unlike some celebrities who use "growth spurt" and "puberty" as an excuse to binge and purge, I'm kind of buying that Ali's metabolism is still changing, and she's still growing. I also think Ali probably never learned about nutrition or healthy eating from her family too, so she's probably just eating whatever is around – vodka, Adderall… mayonnaise? I'm sitting here trying to figure out what would be in a crackhead's refrigerator. It's like the greatest crack riddle of them all.

Keira Knightley goes makeup-less for a date night with her bf, James Righton

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 04:15 AM PDT

These are some new photos of Keira Knightley with her boyfriend, James Righton, out in London last night. She and James had dinner with James at La Bodega Negra and then they went to The Box with some friends to see Jean-Philippe Rio-Py. One of Keira's "friends" included Downton Abbey hottie Dan Stevens! Now I kind of want Dan Stevens and Keira to get together, but that's a discussion for another time. Keira has been dating James for more than a year, it seems. Keira and Rupert Friend broke up back in December of 2010, and shortly after the split, Keira was spotted with James frequently around London. Righton is the keyboardist and vocalist for the indie band Klaxons. James is cute, but why does she always go for the fey ones? I'd like to see her with a man's man, just once.

I think Keira looks cute and low-key in these photos. The clothes aren't flattering, I don't think she's wearing any makeup and her hair is a hot mess, and I like it. I like that she goes out like this. It's refreshing. In a new piece with Interview Magazine, Keira spoke about her self-consciousness with her body, saying "I’m incredibly self-conscious about the fact that I get bad skin" and she finds herself focusing on "the bits you don’t particularly… Do I sometimes feel incredibly shy about going out even in a bathing costume into a swimming pool? Yeah, actually, I do. I was on the beach the other day … with some friends. They were all totally fine taking everything off and I was sitting around in my jeans and a top. I kind of didn’t want to take anything off." But Keira also says that "…At a certain point, I’ve had to get over my own body anxiety issues so it doesn’t get in the way of telling the story."

By the way, I finally saw A Dangerous Method over the weekend, and I was surprised by how good Keira was in the film. I'd read several reviews where Keira was described as "the weak link" in the trio of performances (which also included Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen), but I thought her performance was very brave. And of course, Fassy spanked the hell out of her. It was pretty awesome.

Kim Kardashian covers Cosmo UK: “I’m not even close to dating again!”

Posted: 05 Apr 2012 04:14 AM PDT

Kim Kardashian covers (kovers) the May issue of Cosmo UK. She was just on the cover last summer too, which makes me wonder what the Cosmo UK editors are smoking. Kim also kovers several tabloids this week, for various reasons. Let's just do everything in bullet points, shall we? First, some highlights from Kim's Cosmo interview:

2012 will be a good year: ‘I've got a feeling this is going to be a good year for me – I'm putting the past behind me and have never felt more confident about my future.’

On dating: ‘I'm not even close to dating again! And it's just ridiculous when I'm linked to people I've never met or heard of… I've learnt to not care. There are always going to be ridiculous rumours. I'm just going to work on me for a bit.’

She hasn't always been confident: ‘I didn't always have a lot of confidence – especially not early on… But as I've got older, my confidence has grown and I like the person I am today because of that. I get a lot of my confidence from my sisters. If I don't feel confident about my body, I'm not going to sit at home and feel sorry for myself and not do something about it. It's all about taking action and not being lazy. So you do the work, whether it's fitness or whatever. It's about getting up, motivating yourself and just doing it.’

Confidence: ‘It’s the inner confidence that makes you feel sexy, especially when doing a lingerie shoot. It’s always uncomfortable because there are a million people around doing the lighting and stuff, so it’s not the intimate thing you think it is when you see the photo. You just have to give your best. It’s a whole production but no one even pays attention.’

On soul mates: ‘I think you have different soulmates throughout your life; that your soul needs different things at different times. I'm sure my soul will meet a mate one day in the future. I do believe in love, I will always believe in love, but my idea has changed from what I've always thought… I just don't believe in one soulmate now.’

She doesn't want to have an on-camera relationship anymore: ‘We know that we put ourselves in the public eye. We love doing our reality show, and it's opened doors for us to have clothing lines… and to do things we've always dreamt of. So it comes with the territory and we know that. But as I get older and go through certain things, it's made me want to be more of a private person. I don't think I would stop doing the reality show – I love doing it – but I wouldn't have another relationship shown on the show. That might be too personal, especially when you're just meeting someone. It's taught me to be more private.’

Whatever, do I have to discuss this stuff? There's nothing incredibly notable here, and Kim isn't even claiming to be a size 4 anymore. I don't have a problem with anything she's saying, but I still think she's full of it, especially about the whole "I'm not dating right now" stuff and the "I won't have a relationship on camera anymore" stuff.

As for this week's tabloids, here are some highlights:

*Life & Style continues to get info from Kris Humphries and his lawyers. Team Basketball is still pursuing a "burn the house down" legal strategy, and now they're even threatening to call Ryan Seacrest in the divorce case.

*Kris claims he has proof that Kim was still in contact (and/or boning) with Reggie Bush and Kanye West during their engagement and marriage. Kris has the text messages!

*Kanye's new song might be about Kim and how he fell in love with her? Also something about Jay-Z and the Nets?

*Kris has a new magazine photo shoot, and it's gross.

And that's all I really have to say about this mess. I can't believe people are actually taking sides between Kris and Kim. They both suck as people.
