Halle Berry Gears Up For Custody Battle With Gabriel Aubry, And Warned That He's Full Of Rage!

What seemed to be a peaceful separation between Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry is turning out to be anything but "peaceful."  Accusations are flying around on both sides with each trying to gain an upper hand in the custody battle.  Get the deets on this messy situation inside....
 
 
 
Halle's friends are speaking out about Gabriel and warning that he could be a danger to Halle or Nahla.  Gabe's former friend and business partner Stephane Bibeau told PEOPLE,  "Once they broke up he became verbally threatening to Halle.  He is a vindictive guy." Stephane says he even used a racial slur against her (Halle).
 
But friends of Gabe tell PEOPLE that he is a very dedicated father and only wants to be recognized as the father of Nahla and share custody of her.  A source close to him said:
 
“From the beginning, Halle kind of had the upper hand because she was essentially supporting all of them for the most part. Gabriel never liked how that felt. Their split was tough because they're both so involved in raising Nahla, and neither ever wanted to give that up."
 
So maybe this is a battle of two strong-willed parents each wanting to be the biggest influence in their child's life.  If that is so, it's not looking good for Gabe as old lovers are coming out of the woods and saying Gabe would be a bad influence on Nahla.
 
Page Bogart, a former girlfriend of Gabriel, recently told TMZ that Gabriel is a lying cheat, prone to fits of rage.  She then gave them a voicemail of him in a fit of rage, where he accused her of leaking gossip about him.  Page claims she warned Halle saying, "Gabriel's entire motivation has always been money.  I tried to warn Halle early on but she didn’t want to believe it." 

Well…Halle clearly has her suspicions up now as her rep told PEOPLE that Halle has "serious concerns for her daughter's well-being while in the care of her father." 

I have a feeling this is going to explode into a big Hollywood drama. Pop your corn and get ready for the show.

TV FAB: Chris Brown Gears Up For "SNL"

I may be in the minority here, but I, for one, am happy about this news.  Chris Brown is set to make an appearance on the next episode of "SNL" for the very first time. 

 

What the cast thinks about this when you read on...

Reportedly, "SNL" has had open arms for Chris since the early 2009 Chrihannagate incident.  But, of course, he shifted away from almost all public appearances for the rest of the year.  And also didn't make big appearances outside of tour dates and party walk-thrus last year either.

But it looks like Chris is taking another big step in getting back in the public's good graces.   He's been tapped for next week's episode of "SNL." 

“It’s not up to me, but I’m sure we would [book him] if he had another hit single. We don’t care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings!” said cast member Kenan Thompson last year.

Chris will be the musical guest with host Russell Brand.  His music has been heating up the charts lately and his album F.A.M.E. drops March 22nd.  And he will likely be in a skit or 2 seeing that they have tons of material to choose from.  The jokes will def write themselves.  I'm happy Chris is still paying his dues, maturing, and changing right in front our eyes .  Congrats to him.

I know Mariah would totally spoil a baby girl...now I can't wait to see what types of extravagance she gets into for a boy.  Mimi recently dished,

“Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon. There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this! It’s been a long journey — but a happy one.”

Congrats to Mimi and Nick.

Tiger Woods was spotted out with his mom Kutilda and his kids - daughter Sam, 3, and son Charlie, 1. 

 

The Woods were snapped leaving a gymnastics class in Orlando, Florida today.  Fun times.

The gorgeous Angela Basset got fresh and sassy for the cover of Essence's March 2011 issue.  She's rocking a cute strapless gold dress with a gold plated belt and chest embellishment.  Angela said about why Black women are so fabulous:

Diddy and Rick Ross were spotted chilling at the Miami Heat vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game last night.  Must be nice to live this kind of life.  Drop a milli on strippers one night, chill with the Miami Heat the next night, and of course shoot a hot video with some fly video vixens when you can fit the time in.

In celebrity wedding news...

 

Former "Clean House" host Niecy Nash and her fiance Jay Tucker will televise their wedding on TLC.  The pair, who plan to marry in late May, will shoot a two-hour special documenting their nuptials. The show will also include the bride's search for the perfect dress and venue, according to People magazine.

"I am a woman who does not have the bride gene.  No bridezilla here! I haven't been planning a wedding since I was three. I have to go to the experts to say, 'What am I supposed to do here?' And me and my mother watch 'Say Yes to The Dress' religiously. So I'm really looking forward to it," Niecy said.  

The wedding is expected to be star-studded as Sherri Shepherd of "The View" recently revealed that she will be a bridesmaid in the wedding.  No details about the rest of the wedding party have been released.

REUNITED & IT FEELS SO GOOD: The "Best Man" Cast Celebrates 12 Years!

I literally screamed when I got this email.  One of my top 3 FAVORITE movies of ALL time, The Best Man, celebrated its 12 year release date this weekend.  And the entire cast--Taye, Terrence, Morris, Monica, Nia, Sanaa, Regina, and EVERYBODY in between--all got together in L.A. to have a private party to celebrate.

Wow.  Black surely doesn't crack.  The Best Man cast hit BOA restaurant in L.A. Saturday night to kick it 12 years after they released one of the most romantic black movies to date.  And everyone still looks fab.

Front row: Monica Callhoun, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut and Terrence Howard, Back Row: Taye Diggs, Regina Hall, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau, Melissa DeSousa and Director Malcolm D. Lee.

Director Malcolm Lee said about the cast's reunion:

On Saturday, January 29th, the cast and the director of the 1999 film, The Best Man, which opened at #1 in the box-office, got together in West Hollywood for drinks and dinner to reminisce, catch up and discuss the future. It's hard to believe we all haven't been in the same space for over 12 years, but it was like we've seen each other everyday. It was a joy to reunite with the "Black Pack", one of the best casts ever assembled in my view. Judging from the laughs, conversation and smiles we'd all love to find a way to collaborate again. God willing it'll happen.

Sweet!

How amazing that everyone went on to have a successful career in their own way.  AND are still acting in major Hollywood films, tv shows, and roles to this day. 

So...Did Jordan ever get married?   Did Harper and Robin's wedding get off without drama?  Did Harper and Jordan ever get it in afterall on the sly?  Did Lance and Mia ever really discuss Harper sexin' Mia?  Did Julian ever end up marrying stripper Candy? Somebody PLEASE bring on the sequel!

50 Cent Jumps Into The Lil' Kim Vs. Nicki Minaj Beef + Anthony Mackie Covers Vanity Fair's 2011 Hollywood Issue

50 Cent, who has an opinion about everything, has weighed in on the Nicki Minaj vs. Lil' Kim debate.  Get the deets inside, plus see Anthony Mackie grace the cover of Vanity Fair's 2011 Hollywood Issue.

 

Although 50 Cent built his name and reputation off gritty rhymes and diss records, he surprisingly has relatively tame things to say about Nicki Minaj and Lil' Kim's beef.  In an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45’s G-Unit Saturdays radio show, 50 Cent addressed the beef saying:

“When I look at them actually competing, I don't see anything.  I think it's harmless. It adds an interesting story and other interests to them, because Kim is the original, I believe, and Nicki is the right now.”  He later added, “How do you get in the middle of a girl fight?" 

Wow.  I was expecting him to pick sides and add to the war.  I guess he has his "mature" days. 

And in other Lil' Kim news, she announced that her newest mixtape, which is scheduled to drop on Valentine’s Day, will also be called Black Friday.  I hope it does better than the tracks she's done recently because there is NO street buzz...

Actor Anthony Mackie graces the cover of Vanity Fair's 2011 Hollywood Issue.  Though minorities are still underrepresented in the mag (especially for this annual spread), we congratulate cutie Anthony on his fab pic and much deserved recognition.
