Last night, B.B. King's in NYC was the spot as XXL Magazine hosted its annual "Freshmen Live" concert with Diggy Simmons, CyHi Da Prynce, Big K.R.I.T., Yelawolf and others. Pics and video inside....

XXL Magazine hosted its annual "Freshmen Live" concert featuring many of the rappers who appeared on the cover of their April issue like Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Diggy Simmons, Meek Mill, Fred the Godson, Lil Twist and YG. The only one who didn't make the concert was rapper Lil B who had a prior commitment. Like shopping for new baby tees and super skinny jeans.

It was a family affair with Russell Simmons Jr., "Rev Run" Simmons and Diggy Simmons.

Video vixen Rosa Acosta was there kickin' it with YG.

Also in the house were Pusha T, Yelawolf and Fred The Godson.

Justin Combs came out to support.

Justin also posed with DJ Atrak and CyHi Da Prynce.

Rev. Run hit the stage with his son Diggy. Aww a proud father-son moment I'm sure.

Q-Tip was there!

Chris Lighty joined in on the fun too.

Meagan Good got dressed in her jeans, tank and suspenders for a night out in L.A. last night. She was out and about having fun with friends as usual.

Across the country in NYC, Will Smith was spotted leaving out of the Trump Soho hotel:

He was even nice enough to stop and make a fan's day. He's currently in the midst of filming Men In Black III, while his daughter Willow is overseas touring with Justin Beiber.

And down in the MIA, singer Craig David was flaunting his abs while going out for a run:

He was spotted kicking it with English professional boxer David Haye. The pair, along with David's training team, went for a run on the boardwalk in Miami.

Chris Brown wasn't letting anything get him down yesterday after the morning bruhaha over at ABC Studios. He hit up an art gallery and lunch with his girlfriend Kae afterwards, and then headed to the Village to play some basketball. And it all led up to his big album release party last night at Webster Hall.

We've got pics of Mr. Brown ballin' it up, and videos of him going hard and shirtless at his release party with Waka Flocka, when you read on....

Reportedly, ABC studios will not be pressing any charges. So what other way to celebrate good news than to play some ball:

We sadly report that legendary screen goddess Dame Elizabeth Taylor passed away at the age of 79 of congestive heart failure. Deets inside...

Oscar winning actress Elizabeth Taylor died today in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Hospital after being there for 6 weeks. She was 79-years-old. The reported cause of death was congestive heart failure.

In a statement to the press, her son Michael Wilding said,

"My Mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world. Her remarkable body of work in film, her ongoing success as a businesswoman, and her brave and relentless advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS, all make us all incredibly proud of what she accomplished. We know, quite simply, that the world is a better place for Mom having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in our hearts."

Known as the first celebrity to take on the AIDS epidemic and for her legendary looks and many marriages, Elizabeth also ushered in the modern-day celebrity fragrance craze when she released her first scent.

She also leaves behind a legacy of great film roles as she began acting at the age of 12. She won her first Oscar for Butterfield 8 in 1960 followed by a second Oscar for Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? in 1966. Then there was Cleopatra, the movie known for her dramatic costumes and introducing her to the love of her life, Richard Burton. Other notable films include Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Little Women and Giant.

She will be greatly missed.

Looks like Chris Brown worked up a lil appetite after this morning's "GMA" fiasco. He and his girlfriend Kae were just spotted back in midtown--several blocks below where Chris' big window smashing outburst happened this morning--grabbing a bite to eat.

There may be some bad news a-brewin' for blondie though. PopEater reports that top ABC show "Dancing With The Stars" may cancel his performance next week, and execs at the studios are looking to ban him from the channel all together.

CUTENESS: Jennifer Hudson Totes Baby David, Jr. To "The View"

In true mommy form, Jennifer Hudson had to pull double duty this morning as she tended to a crying Baby David, Jr., and went to work to promote her new album dropping today, I Remember Me.

We've got video of her mommy-full appearance and performance this morning on "The View" when you read on...

Since David, Jr. wans't trying to let mommy go to work this morning (he cried whenever she tried to leave him), Jennifer Hudson said she had to bring him along with her.

But it seemed like he pulled the baby wool over her eyes as his tears turned to smiles as soon as they hit the stage. AND as soon as he had a mic in his hands.

TOO CUTE!

Check out the video above of Jennifer looking fab while kickin' it with the ladies of "The View" this morning. And having to work it out while David, Jr. stole her shine with his own songs.

She also performed her single "Where U At?" for the audience. Fab.

Asheley Jewell UPDATE: She's Speaking Again

There was great news out of Atlanta today as the Jewell family announced that shooting victim, Asheley Jewell, began speaking again. Deets inside....

We told you weeks ago about the tragic road rage incident that left Asheley Jewell, the daughter of the late A.J. Jewell, fighting for her life at Grady Memorial Hospital. Now we can report that Asheley is making progress and has begun to speak again.

In an email to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Ebony Phillips, Asheley's cousin, wrote:

"Today our family is thanking God for a miracle. Asheley began speaking over the weekend and requested a Pepsi. The doctors are amazed. This is more than the doctors expected, but exactly what we knew God could do. Thanks again for all your prayers."

This is great news for her and her fam. We wish Asheley well and good health.

Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, & More To Record An Album For Japan + Rihanna Advised To Cancel U.S. Tour Dates Due To Low Sales

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are among a growing list of celebs participating in a benefit album to raise money for Japan. Get the deets on the album and Rihanna's sluggish ticket sales inside...

Rihanna and Nicki Minaj have joined a long list of high-profile celebs to be featured on Universal Music's digital-only benefit album for Japan.

Nicki and RiRi will be in great company as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and U2 are all expected to participate in the project, which is expected to drop at the end of this week. All proceeds will go to the Japanese Red Cross.

I think it's great to see artists waiving their royalties to help rebuild ravaged areas. As of now, the March 11 earthquake and tsunami left at least 21,000 people dead or missing.

By the way, Rih and Nicki's "Fly" video is set to be released Memorial Day weekend.

Also in Rihanna news....

She may have one of the bestselling albums in the world, but it doesn't mean she can fill an arena like Janet or Madonna or even Beyonce. In fact, RiRi is reportedly having a hard time selling tix for dates for her LOUD tour in the US.

The New York Post reports that for her upcoming Boston tour date with Cee-Lo Green, only 3,700 tickets have been sold but she needs to sell at least 15,000 to break even. As of now, the Boston concert expects more than a half-million dollars in losses.

But despite slow tour sales, RiRi did not budge on her diva demands. Sources say she has a huge list of demands and needs, which is fine...when you are selling tickets and making money.

Sources also say Rihanna has been advised by her day-to-day manager, Jay Brown, to cancel some domestic dates on her "Loud" tour.

"It has been a big disappointment," our source said to Page Six. "The ticket sales in big US cities like Boston are so bad, they will barely cover basics like the lighting and other arena costs. Tour managers are begging local radio stations to do giveaways."

So what's the problem? One insider said, "She should've been doing theaters and smaller venues. She's not ready to headline an arena tour."

The talk of this morning just popped up on Spring St. in Soho...and he's all smiles. Chris Brown pulled on a white tee, a cardigan, and his glasses as he headed into Opera art gallery in NYC just hours after his alleged window smashing outburt at "GMA". And he looks a lot more carefree than he looked hours ago.

Pics...and audio of an ABC studios rep reportedly calling the cops on Chris....when you read on....

Chris hopped out his luxe care and slapped on a smile--after slapping on a shirt--and was just spotted pulling up in Soho only hours after this morning's outburst at the ABC studios in Midtown.

And he had his girlfriend Kae along with him.

Seems like the "Deuces" singer headed downtown to shake off the bad press he's getting right now. Whether that'll work is yet to be seen. Especially since some audio just leaked, courtesy of TMZ, of an ABC rep allegedly calling the cops on Chris:

The person in the audio does mention the broken window and seems in a slight panick, but never mentions Chris' name.

Lawrence Taylor Gets NO Jail Time +Forest Whitaker & Wife Owe Over A Million Dollars In Taxes?!

Well isn't this Lawrence's lucky day. While Chris Brown is catching hell from the media today, another celeb who has been struggling with legal troubles just got a slap on the wrist from the courts.

NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor gets probation and no jail, plus the Whitakers are getting chased by the tax man, when you red on....

Former New York Giants football star Lawrence Taylor arrived at the Rockland County Courthouse for formal sentencing in New City, N.Y. this morning with his wife Lynette.

Apparently, the now 17-year-old prostitute he allegedly had sex with, was not allowed by judges to read her statement at today's trial. The judge stated that victims are entitled to speak only at felony sentencings.

The 52-year-old ex-linebacker pleaded guilty in January to misdemeanors of sexual misconduct and patronizing a 16-year-old prostitute.

Taylor has now been given 6 years probation, and still must register as a sex offender. Which level of sex offender will be determined at an upcoming April 12th hearing.

In other news, Forest Whitaker has been slapped with a tax lien in California to the tune of $185,253. Oscar winner Forest, and his wife Keisha, are also said to owe $1.27 million in state and federal taxes.

I'm sure Forest, current star of CBS' "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" has the mula. But he may want to fire his book keeper for letting this ish happen. Never a good look.
