Down-to-earth actress Tracee Ellis Ross was spotted running errands yesterday in L.A.  She rocked wide leg pants and a cute cream bag as she hit up the local Whole Foods for some groceries.

Another day...another twitter beef.  50 Cent wasted no time in adding his commentary to reports that Ja Rule is on his way to jail for tax evasion. See what he had to say inside plus watch the trailer for his new movie with Bruce Willis inside...

 

Leave it to 50 Cent to kick a brotha when he's down.  We told you earlier that Ja Rule is facing jail time for tax evasion and 50 wasted no time getting on twitter to make fun of Ja.

Speaking of Twitter ish, yesterday, Willow Smith's Twitter account RT'd a message about Chris Brown possibly going to prison (and he's not) for the ABC hoopla, but not for hurting Rihanna. But Roc Nation posted a message afterwards saying Willow's account is a "negativity free zone" and her account was hacked.

 

Didn't know hackers only broke into accounts to Retweet a message...

Tika Sumpter, fab actress from "Gossip Girl" and "The Game", hit up designer Rebecca Taylor's (pictured) store opening in New York with Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last night.

 

The twosome rocked some of Rebecca's vintage inspired designs for the occasion. And we've got pics of them, Lala and Aretha at last night's Knicks game, and Sharon Leal at the Hollywood premiere of Sucker Punch, when you read on....

Tika rocked this cute vintage inspired look complete with a cream blazer, floppy hat, and calf length dress, all by Rebecca Taylor.

And Selita Ebanks rocked her Rebecca Taylor floral and polka dot dress with nude Louboutins.

And over in midtown, Aretha Franklin (FYI--many credible NEWS sources consistently identify the man pictured as 52-year-old son Eddie, but other credible NEWS sources identify him as her boyfriend--toss up) took in the Knicks game courtside at Madison Square Garden last night:

Spikey was there cheering on the home team.

Nicki Minaj No Longer A Factor For "X-Factor"

For fans hoping to get a weekly dose of sassy rapper Nicki Minaj, you'll have to wait for another gig to come along.  Sources report that Nicki won't be accepting any offers to become a judge on Simon Cowell's "X-Factor."  Deets inside...

 

Earlier this week, Simon Cowell admitted that many of the names that we've heardmay be joining "X-Factor" (Paula Abdul, Jessica Simpson, Tommy Motola) were leaked by his own company to stir up interest in the show.  And now, we find out, the whole Nicki Minaj thing may have just been a gossip item created for attention as well.

A source close to the "Your Love" rapper says "There's nothing going on with [X Factor]."  So there you have it...no weekly Nicki-Factor.

Chris Brown Has A "One Night Stand" With Keri Hilson + Talks GMA Outburst On "106 & Park"

 Chris Brown did a lot after his GMA interview.  Inside, see a pic his sexy "lap" dance from his release party plus hear his take for the first time (and apology) on "106 & Park" for the Robin Roberts interview,  Also, we have pics of him and Keri Hilson on the set of her new video for "One Night Stand."

 

Chris Brown had a lot going on the past few days.  His GMA outburst on Tuesday, which he followed up with a game of hoops, an art gallery visit, dinner with his girlfriend, and his record release party.

And as you see above, he got a hot dance at the party and the two fellas behind him enjoyed it as much as he did.

And earlier tonight, he stopped by BET's "106 &  Park" to apologize for Windowgate.  He said he didn't hurt anyone and he needed to blow off some steam.   He says he took it personal that Robin asked him about Rihanna saying he WAS NOT briefed that the Rihanna incident would come up.  He then asked his fans to not send threats to Robin Roberts.

Lala Vazquez Anthony Talks REAL Basketball Wife Duties, Naked Flicks, & Making Her TV Money With The Breakfast Club

Lala and her fam are still living in a hotel room, but the real "Basketball Wife" is holding it down for her man, Carmelo Anthony, and 4-year old Kiyan these days.  La stopped by Power 105 to kick it with the Breakfast Club this morning.

 

We've got the highlights of her revealing the real deal with her and the nonexistent Knick wives, what her show is really about, why she's still defending her homegirl Kim K. and that horrid song, Carmelo's love child, how much money she's spending for her game attire, sending her hubby naked flix, and everything else......

Check out Mrs. Anthony discussing the Chris Brown incident, her naked flix for her hubby, and a whole lot of other ish. The whole interview is 20 minutes long, but we've narrowed down the important highlights for you:

  • Bump groupies, Lala says she's used to them from his whole career.  Plus, she believes he knows he has more respect for her after 8 years than to cheat.
  • The story about Carmelo having an alleged love child is laughable.  She wouldn't still be his wife if it were true.
  • She's not doing "Basketball Wives."  The show doesn't work for her.
  • Her "Full Court Life" show debuts in August on VH1.  She also just shot a film with Val Kilmer and is auditioning for several shows as this is "pilot season."
  • When asked why she "allowed" Kim to record that mess of a record, she defended her girl. She said the record was for charity and Kim was having fun even though she's not known for singing. So she's happy she could do that and we should "cut her some slack." (SIIIIGHHHHH)
  • She defended Ciara saying her album didn't do well because there was a lot of transitions behind the scenes with management and such.  She believes her album was great and she's a great performer.  Oh, and she said Ci's going to the game's with HER, not for Amar'e.  (Mmmhmm)
  • On Chris Brown hoopla: "Chris is definitely a friend of myself and Melo's.  If we weren't there... If God can forgive, who are we?  That man as been through a lot.  He's paid his debt to society 10x over."
  • She says she and Carmelo argue about Melo being a homebody and she wants to go out often.
  • She's not a good cook, but Melo is.
  • She doesn't have a live-in nanny or help--chick is even using Dreft laundry detergent for her baby as she does do her own laundry.  Loves it.
  • About not getting along with the Knick wives, she recently discovered the reason they haven't reached out to her is because there ARE no wives.  But she's meeting more of the fiance's and girlfriends.
  • She's addicted to shoes and works hard to buy what she wants.
  • La says she doesn't want anymore kids.  She had a tough pregnancy and she doesn't want to put her body through it again.  Adoption in the future is an option though.
  • Telling family "No" is hard now especially since she's back in NY with her family.  They're always asking for tix to the games and it's extrememly difficult.
  • Yeah--she's sent Melo naked pics.  You gotta keep the marriage fresh.  (NOT MAD LALA)

 

Nene Leakes Lets Star Jones Have It Calling Her Bossy, Manipulative And Conniving

The war between NeNe Leakes and Star Jones rages on.  During an interview on The "Ellen" Show, NeNe was very descriptive when it came to describing Star's character.  Find out what NeNe said inside....

 

On today's edition of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" NeNe Leakes was on to promote "Celebrity Apprentice" and of course her rivalry with Star Jones came up during the discussion.  When asked about how they got along, NeNe said she tried to get to know Star in the beginning but the pair were never friendly.

NeNe gave the impression that Star is just a very difficult personality to along with.  But it was when NeNe really broke it down that the insults started flying. 

"She is bossy, she is manipulative, conniving," Leakes says. "And I'm not even being funny. I think that is real. I honestly think that is who she is."

Star has not responded to NeNe's latest round of insults but I'm sure we can expect some kind of response soon.

 

Here's how the conversation went:

Ellen: Do you think they're showing everybody accurately? Are we seeing everyone's personalities?
Nene: I believe that you are. Big bossy Star. Laid back Nene. You are seeing all of that.

Ellen: Now, when you say, "Big bossy Star," because you're not getting along with Star from what I see right now.
Nene: We are okay right now.

Ellen: A few people don't get along with Star.

Nene: I don't think anybody is getting along with Star. I don't think she's easy to get along with. She's a tough girl. We're kind of okay. I'm trying to feel her out right now.

Ellen: What happened to cause the riff?

Nene: Well, I just think Star is manipulative. You don't want me to really break it down now?

Ellen: No, I do.

Nene: I will tell it like it is. I will try to not tell it like it is is, but I will tell it like it is. She is bossy, she is manipulative, conniving. And I'm not even being funny. I think that is real. I honestly think that is who she is.

Ellen: Now, do you think she thinks she is those things? I think she knows she has a strong personality and she's controlling.

Nene: She is controlling. I think that she knows. Yeah. She looks in the mirror, she better know.

Ellen: You started as friends though.

Nene: No. We weren't friends. I will say this, when I walked into the situation, I tried to walk in with no preconceived notions. I was just thinking, "Okay, I'm going to do the show. I'm going to get to know who Star is." I think she had preconceived notions of who she thought I was just from watching me on the "Housewives." I think she thought I was going to come in and take over. I tried to get to know her. Some people are difficult to get to know. She's not easiest person to get to know. She is a disaster.

 

 

TOUR DE FAB: The Obamas Wrap Up In Latin America+J-Hud Goes Pink For "The Wendy Williams Show"

Jennifer Hudson was spotted leaving "The Wendy Williams" show this afternoon in NYC.  She continues her promo tour in the Big rainy Apple today for her brand new cd.

 

We've got her performance today, plus pics of the Obama kids and the President and First Lady helping underprivileged kids in El Salvador on their tour of South America, when you read on...

Jenny's makeup and hair looked in flawless as she braved the rain and sleet today in Manhattan:

And down in South and Central America, The Obama family is wrapping up their diplomacy tour of Latin America as they rolled into El Salvador:

First Lady Michelle, Sasha, Malia, and First Ganny (not pictured) all visited to a disadvantaged youth program in El Salvador's capital San Salvador.  And helped the kiddies paint their new mural.  Sweet!

The President toured the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Salvador with El Salvador's President Mauricio Funes and Archbishop Jose Luis Escobar Alas.

And last night, the First Lady transformed into this gorgeous gold look at the First Couple toasted at the official dinner hosted by President Funes.

WORKIN' FOLKS: Michelle Williams, Ludacris & Audra McDonald Land New Gigs

There YBF celebs have landed new acting gigs and we've got the deets on Audra McDonald, Ludacris and Michelle Williams inside...

 

Michelle Williams has landed a new job.  The "Heart 2 Yours" singer is playing a lead role in David E. Talbert's play "What My Husband Doesn't Know." She and the cast  have been rolling since February.  And she takes the stage in Baton Rouge for the 2-day run of the production there on March 22 and March 23.  Her sexy co-stars are Morris Chestnut and  Brian White.  Destiny's former "Child" has previously starred in the West End production of CHICAGO, and the national tour of THE COLOR PURPLE.  A few pics from the show:

Ludacris has a new movie role as well.  The rapper joins a long list of high-profile celebs in Garry Marshall's New Year's Eve film.  Luda will be playing an NYPD cop working during the Times Square celebration. He will co-star with Halle Berry, Sofia Vergara, Hilary Swank, Sarah Jessica Parker Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michelle and Robert De Niro.  He's also starring in this summer's Fast Five movie.

 

 

And four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to the stage as Bess in "Porgy And Bess" at the American Repertory Theater this September.  She's set to leave her starring role on ABC's "Private Practice" and this must be why.

"I'm looking forward to it. I feel like I'm old enough," said Audra in a recent interview.  The actress will leave her current gig on the show this spring.  Damn...I was REALLY hoping she and Taye Diggs/Sam would get back together.  No likey this Sam and Addison ish....

Ja Rule Faces More Jail Time After Pleading Guilty To Tax Evasion

Ja Rule recently plead guilty to tax evasion after failing to report income earned from 2004-2006.  Deets inside...

 

During a federal court hearing in New Jersey on Tuesday, troubled rapper Ja Rule admitted that he didn't pay taxes on more than $4 million in income.

At the hearing, he pled guilty to skirting the IRS on income earned between 2004-2006 as part of a plea deal that dismissed two counts of unpaid taxes on income earned in 2007 and 2008.

The "Put It On Me" rapper will get sentenced in June on the three remaining tax evasion charges and faces up to one year in prison and $100,000 in fines on each count.  Now....this is in ADDITION to the time he is expected to spend in jail based on his previous gun charges. 

You may remember he pled guilty to attempted gun possession in December 2010, as a result of a July 2007 arrest.  He faces sentencing for that on June 8, though he has already agreed to a two-year prison term.  

SMH...maybe the judges will get together and combine the sentences.  Either way...looks like we won't be seeing Ja Rule walking any red carpets for a long time.

 

Chris Brown & Kae Do Dinner, Breezy Gets Invited Back To "GMA"

Chris Brown ended his eventful day yesterday with a dinner at Trump Soho in New York with his girlfriend Kae.  They decided to do a little wining and dining before his album release party at Webster Hall.

And interestingly, it looks like Chris may be getting a second chance with ABC's Robin Roberts.  Deets on his invitation and pics of is dinner date when you read on...

Chris and Kae headed to Trump Soho for some dinner before patying the night away at Webster Hall last night.

Breezy was also reportedly extended an invitation to come back to ABC for another interview.  Morning co-host Robin Roberts announced today:

"We wish him the absolute best and ... we've extended the invitation to him and I sure hope that he takes us up on it, because we'd love to have another chat with him."

And about her surprise that he allegedly flipped out in his dressing room after being asked repeatedly questions about RIhanna's during yesterday's show, Robin said:

"Anytime we have a guest here on the program, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter, the topics that we're going to discuss and we, even right before the interview, I said that to Chris and I was shocked like everybody else was.'

Now ABC knows damn well they just want another spike of stellar ratings.  You aint gotta lie to kick it.  By the way, Chris' appearance on next week's "DWTS" is still in play.  And he's set to perform two different songs.
