The 2013 BET Inaugural Ball--Gabby Union, Rocsi, Boris & Nicole Kodjoe & More Get FAB Posted: 22 Jan 2013 07:11 AM PST While President & First Lady Obama were at the Convention Center for their two official Balls, a few YBF celebs hit up BET's Inaugural Ball at the Smithsonian American Art Museum & National Portrait Gallery last night.   We've got Gabby Union, former BET host Rocsi and more keeping it fabulous at the Ball inside... BET's Exec. VP Stephen Hill posed it up with two of his fave girls--former "106 & Park host Rocsi Diaz and the host of last weekend's BET Honors Gabrielle Union. Gabby looked fresh and gorge in her long purple gown and sparkly clutch for the red carpet. Love this look for her. Rocsi returned to her former BET family for the big event. This is a great look for her as well. Boris & Nicole Kodjoe looked like perfect wedding cake toppers.  The ridiculusly gorgeous couple made their way tot he Ball.  And we're loving Nicole's white gown and curls. "The Game" star Hosea Chanchez hit the carpet. Cynne Simpson, local DC news anchor and niece of legendary radio host Donnie Simpson, made her way on the carpet in a multi printed dress.   "Second Generation Wayans" star Tatyana Ali kept things simple in a black gown. Remember "Carribean Rhythms" chick Rachel Stuart?  She made a random appearance at the Ball.  And chick still looks flawless.   Former "106" host AJ Calloway had some fun with B.Smith and Dan Gasby.   Uh oh....Mikki Taylor got a weave y'all.  We're not feeling the look on her, but every woman deserves to be able to change it up every once in a while.   MC Lyte hit the carpet looking ageless as usual.  She had just received the Lifetime Achievement Award he night before at the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball.   "Access Hollywood" correspondent Shaun Robinson looked great in a one shoulder long dress.   Wayne Brady made his way to all the Balls it seems. Jermaine Dupri was on the 1's and 2's.   And the ladies Shaun and Nicole kicked it with Kenny Lattimore.  Fab times!

INAUGURAL BALL FAB: First Lady Michelle Obama DAZZLES In A RED HOT Jason Wu Gown! Posted: 21 Jan 2013 09:30 PM PST President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama appeared at two official inaugural balls on Monday night. Check out the celebrity star power at the balls and get the deets on the First Lady's 2013 Inaugural Ball look inside....    Today, Barack Obama celebrated being sworn in as the 44th President of The United States tonight with two well-appointed balls in the nation's capital.  First, the President and First Lady headed to the Commander-In-Chief's Ball and later headed over to the Official Inaugural Ball, both held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.  For the second year in a row, First Lady Michelle Obama turned to American-born designer Jason Wu to create a stunning inaugural look.  He created a long halter-neck ruby chiffon custom gown with velvet details.  Her shoes were Jimmy Choo and she accessorized with a handmade ring by Kimberly McDonald. Performers at the Commander-In-Chief Ball included Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, Chris Cornell, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Marc Anthony. Jennifer looked gorge in a simple black gown with great hair and makeup. And Alicia rocked red as well.   At the Official Inaugural Ball, supporters saw performances from Alicia Keys, Black Violin, Brad Paisley, Far East Movement, FUN., John Legend, Katy Perry, Maná, Smokey Robinson, Soundgarden, Stevie Wonder and Usher.      STUNNING.  Congrats to the President and First Lady.  We look forward to four more years. BONUS: Watch O's fellow Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson serenade the First Couple with "Let's Stay Together."  And the ridiculously cute PDA they showcased and their dance with members of the military.... Obviously one of the Prez's fave songs...

GOODNESS: Consequence EXPOSES Kanye West For Allegedly Gossiping & Cheating With Kim, Raqi Thunda For Passing Diseases & Others Who WRONGED Him Posted: 21 Jan 2013 04:54 PM PST Rapper/ghostwriter Consequence chatted with The Breakfast Club where he gave the backstory to his beefs with Kanye West, Q-Tip, and his "LAHH 3" co-star Raqi Thunda.  Watch the interview inside....   "LAHH 3" star Consequence stopped by Power 105 1's "The Breakfast Club" with his girlfriend/baby mama Jen The Pen where he gave a no-holds barred interview explaining his break from Kanye West, how he feels betrayed by his cousin Q-Tip and his complete disgust with co-star Raqi Thunda.  Here are the highlights:  On Raqi Thunda: Consequence called her out regarding her "radio career" saying all she did was fetch water at Sirius radio.  Bloop.  He called her "basic" and said she took a base salary for "L&HH 3" and doesn't even have representation.  "You moving like a base head out here.  You a racoon out here in these streets you starving.  And you passing niggaz diseases.  You messy." On Joe Budden: Says he has no desire to work with Joe...because it would be for free.  He added that Joe once got hit in the head by Raekwon. On Kanye West: "Basically, this is what happened. Q-Tip talks like a girl. Listen, he goes and he tells Kanye behind my back about the baby. I didn’t want Kanye to know because we were still going through money things and it was nasty. It was a lot of things that was involved. A lot of people who was involved with me and Kanye not bumping no more. When I did the Sway interview, I had flew out to London. We was really trying to make it not go past ‘Man Purses.’” Jen the Pen was VERY upset that Kanye West did not send them a gift or a card when they had their child.  She called him "tacky."  Though Consequence and Kanye had a falling out, the couple felt that their 10-year friendship should have meant a little more to him.  Jen also revealed that they had Kanye's back when he and Kim had their "first" affair while Kim was with Reggie Bush.  They never "outed" them and kept it a secret. He added that his other major issue is that Kanye likes to say he is one of the greatest rappers of all-time but doesn't give him due credit (he says he's ghost-written several rhymes for him).  He also revealed that he was writing for Q-Tip and Phife by the time he was 18. He added that all he really wants is "5 Minutes."  At some point the interview got a little greasy and he let it be known that "5 mins" was "Queens" talk for a five-minute fight.  He said he'd like 5 mins with Kanye, Big Sean, Pusha T and Q-Tip.  Shots fired G.O.O.D. Music. On Q-Tip Cons accused Q-Tip of betraying him to get to Kanye.  “She said it so let’s just clear the air. Q-Tip, because he was trying to finagle his way in the door – Kanye was my connect. The whole world know that,” Consequence revealed. “But because Q-Tip has issues with his mortality, so to speak. He’s on G.O.O.D. Music now because he was running around telling me little secrets about Kanye. Trying to angle. You know what I’m saying? BOO'D UP? Keri Hilson & Serge Ibaka LEAVING THE CLUB In LA Posted: 21 Jan 2013 03:43 PM PST Rumored lovers Keri Hilson and Serge Ibaka were spotted out last night. Find out what they were up to inside.... Last night, R&B starlet Keri Hilson was spotted leaving Greystone Manor in West Hollywood,CA with Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka.  And it looks like Serge is feeling a lot better after suffering a from a chest contusion a few days ago. We've been following the duo for a while now and though they haven't made an official announcement, they spent a lot of time together last year with Keri celebrating her 30th birthday with him at a party in Oklahoma City last month.   It will be interesting to see what else 2013 has in store for the pair...     Photos via  JCalderon / Splash News

SPOTTED: Rihanna & Chris Brown PARTYING IN West Hollywood Posted: 21 Jan 2013 03:16 PM PST Rihanna and Chris Brown were out partying in the LA area last night.  Together.  See their pics inside... Last night, Rihanna was spotted heading into Greystone Manor in West Hollywood, CA. Inside the club, she was seen partying with Chris Brown.  The duo are currently working on another collaboration which will likely end up on one of Chris' upcoming projects.  Oh how convenient. Later on, Chris was also seen leaving Greystone as well (he and Rihanna came in separate vehicles).  Chris recently tweeted about the winter collection of his "Black Pyramid" line becoming available.  So....we guess Kae will finally get her girl's version of that line "The Kill" off the ground... LaLa Anthony & Terrence J Host The 2013 Hip Hop Ball With Angela Simmons, 2 Chainz, MC Lyte & MORE! Posted: 21 Jan 2013 02:04 PM PST LaLa Anthony is clearly not letting any of the rumors about her marriage get her down.  Because the reality starlet looked gorgeous on last night's red carpet at the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball.  She hosted the event alongside Terrence J.     We've got the pics of all the celebs who came out to celebrate President Obama's second term... In a Lillie Rubin nude and black deep V cut beaded gown and Jimmy Choo shoes, LaLa kept it sexy for the Black Tie affair at DC's Harman Center last night.  She told us on the carpet, "I'm just so honored and happy to be here. [Co-host] Terrence is my brother. And tomorrow, being a part of the official Ball, will be incredible."   La & Terrence looked great as the hosts for the event, which honors members of the hip hop community who are doing great things in their own communities. And backstage, emcee YoYo was there and snapped some pics with the hosts. Terrence kept it dapper in a Tom Ford slacks and shirt and a silvery grey jacket from Zara. Angela Simmons rocked an eye popping black sequined bust-cut out dress by Albanian designer Devushka.   And we can't even be mad at her for flaunting that killer bod.  Many couldn't pull this look off but it works for her personality. La & Ange kicked it with model Chanel inside the Ball.   Lil Mama and MC Lyte walked the carpet together as Lil mama was there to honor the femcee. Swizz Beatz was there to receive the Impact Award.   Meek Mill instagrammed a pic of his entourage on their entrance. Most men clean up well in a suit and Meek kinda fits that rule.... Lance Gross looked his usual sexual self. John Legend and fiance Christine Teigen hit the event.  John will be performing at the official Inaugural Ball tonight. Marsha Ambrosius hit the stage at the Ball to perform "I Hope He Cheats On You" and "Butterflies". Former NBAer Dikembe Motumbo came out to enjoy the festivities. Rosario Dawson is kept it sparkly on the carpet as she was there to present. WEEN founder Valeisha Butterfield broke away from her new baby boy she has with her NBA hubby Dahntay Jones to attend the event last night.  She was there with WEEN co-founder Kristi Henderson to present to Dr. Ben Chavis: By the way, did you know Dr. Ben has 8 kids--4 boys and 4 girls?   2 Chainz threw on his suit to receive the Street Soldier Award for his work in getting former felons and minorities to register to vote. Too bad he got into a slight scuffle at the afterparty with a random party goer. Oh Tyson Beckford.  We get that you wanted to color coordinate with your model girlfriend Shaninah in her Garcia dress.  But this ish is just loud. NY Giants baller Victor Cruz brought his fiance along for the ball.   Both Swizzy and MC Lyte hit the star to accept their awards.   And YoYo and Smooth gave a tribute to Lyte for her Lifetime Achievement Award.   And, of course, was the livest performance of the night. ON THE SET: Lil' Kim's "Jay-Z" VIDEO SHOOT Posted: 21 Jan 2013 12:43 PM PST   Lil' Kim shot a video with a chick named Tiffany Foxx called "Jay-Z" .....and we have a few flicks from the video shoot inside....   The Queen Bee, Lil' Kim, recently shot scenes for Tiffany Foxx's "Jay-Z" single.  Tiffany is Kim's latest protege and is signed to her International Rock Star Records.  The track appears on Tiffany’s mixtape Yellow Tape.  And Kim is back on her sneaker wearing New York ish.  Not sure about the name of this track though... The video was shot in Brooklyn and features Kim sporting a customized Special 'Opening Ceremony' Varsity Jacket. And despite a breakup around the holidays, it looks like Kim is rocking with Mr. Papers again and he's in the Maserati scene.    In addition to videos, Lil' Kim "might" make a reality tv appearance as her best friend Jennifer Dalton has joined the cast of "RHONJ" and Kim is the godmother of Jen's daughter.  We'd love to see Kim with the housewives! WATCH: President Obama's FULL 2013 Inauguration Speech, More Pics Of The FIRST FAMILY Posted: 21 Jan 2013 11:58 AM PST It was a big afternoon for the Obamas as they stepped out looking like the quintessenal First Family as Prez O was sworn in for his second term.  Pics of their looks for the big day, plus Obama's full Inaugural speech inside... President Barack Obama saluted MLK's birthday observance today, as well as his role model Abe Lincoln, by using both of their bibles for his swearing in.  And First Lady Michelle and daughters Sasha & Malia were right by his side. Mrs. O added on from her look this morning that she wore to church by embellishing her Thom Browne menswear inspired coat with a J.Crew belt.  She changed into Reed Krakoff boots and added pops of color with her purple J.Crew gloves and earrings designed by Cathy Waterman.  At the end of the Inaugural festivities, the outfit and accompanying accessories will go to the National Archives. Underneath the coat is a silver A-line Thom Browne dress and cardigan that we got a glimpse of during the Inaugural luncheon that just wrapped.   Sasha kept with the blue/purple color scheme in her Kate Spade peacoat and scarf.  And her big sister Malia rocked a J.Crew peacoat herself. More pics: For you fashion heads:   Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden rocked a fab silver bow coat by Lela Rose to make a fashion statement.  Reportedly, it's already sold out at Nordstrom.  Best look of hers to date.      Loves it. Mr. President's speech in full is above. The President was seen looking back after the ceremony was over saying, "I want to look out one more time. I'll never see this again." Congrats on your second term Mr. President!

Ex-Girlfriend Brooke Crittendon REVEALS Kanye West Is VULNERABLE & INSECURE, Says Kim Kardashian "Fits His Brand" Posted: 21 Jan 2013 10:52 AM PST Kanye West's ex-girlfriend Brooke Crittendon gave an interesting perspective on his relationship with Kim Kardashian and how it all serves a higher purpose for his brand.  And it all shields his insecurity.  All things we kinda figured out a while ago, but interesting to hear one of his exes confirm.  Find out Brooke's tales from the ex inside..... You can learn a lot about a person when their "ex" starts spilling intimate details.  And though Brooke Crittendon didn't throw her ex-Kanye West completely under the bus during a recent interview with The Sun, she did give an interesting perspective on why he ended up in the arms of reality tv starlet Kim K.  Brooke, who dated Kanye from 2004 to 2006 (before he got engaged to Alexis Phifer), explained her thoughts about the pairing of Kanye and Kim by bascially saying the "relationship" compliments his ego. Obvi.  She said: “For Kanye, what other person besides Kim Kardashian is there? There’s Halle Berry, J.Lo and Beyonce, but they are all taken. She fits into his brand. Part of being untouchable is having what other people want. It’s about saying, ‘Everybody wants her and she wants me.' That makes sense in Kanye’s world." She adds that a man like Kanye wants certain things from his career and for his life. That checklist will include, money, fame, the hot chick and the kids to go along with it.  And she confirmed 'Ye's been eyeing the sextape star turned self-loving reality star for a minute now: "I know he has had a thing with her for a while. I’m sure he watched her [sex] tape. After we broke up, we caught up as friends and he mentioned her, I knew something was there ... Them being together satisfies them for now. Having a baby ticks a box. She wanted kids and it’s his legacy.” Brooke also credited Jay-Z with having a huge influence on Kanye settling down with Kim.  “He admires Jay-Z and they are very close. Over the years Jay has been a role model to him. Whether it is starting to be more mature, taking chances with clothes or getting married and starting a family, ultimately he takes those cues from Jay.” Though it seems Brooke suspects their relationship won't last (since it will only momentarily satisfy Kayne), she admitted that dating Mr. West had its perks. “By day I was working in an office (she was a production assistant at MTV) and in the evening this fairy godmother would arrive and I’d have all these amazing experiences. It was like a two-year trip to Disneyland. Our first anniversary was the first day of his tour in Miami. After the show we went back to our suite and there were hundreds of roses and the orchestra section from his concert were in there playing the song, It’s Our Anniversary, by Tony! Toni! Tone!" She also revealed something you might not expect about Kanye...he's vulnerable and insecure.  Actually...you may have guessed that. “He was not macho — he needed you to be with him and needed your opinion. He was quite vulnerable.  He was insecure as he couldn’t be with me every day. I got the impression he worried he wasn’t good enough for me. He needs people to tell him he is good and that he is needed and wanted.  He wouldn’t start his show unless I was at the side of the stage. One night the show was delayed because he couldn’t find me." Really Brooke?  Despite his insecurity, it didn't stop him from living the life of a rockstar which included all those OTHER chicks. Brooke said his cheating is what led to their breakup. “I was very naive. I was a normal girl and in my life you meet a guy, you go on three dates and that’s your boyfriend. But he was a superstar and it got too much for me to handle. There was a lot of attention from other women. Kanye was very open and honest but it ended up with me knowing too much. I don’t want to be silly and say it wasn’t cheating because I knew about it.  I was never OK being one of many — or even one of a few." Brooke added that what distinguishes her from Kim is that she's an ordinary girl and wasn't willing to conform to Kanye's expectations and be robbed of her individuality. We've heard she isn't little miss innocent either when it comes to cheating ways.  But that's for another day.  We guess the grass is always greener.... The Randomness: 1. VIDEO: Beyonce Belts Out Flawless Performance Of The NATIONAL ANTHEM At 2013 Inauguration Posted: 21 Jan 2013 10:03 AM PST   Beyonce Knowles just experienced one of her ultimate career highs as she belted out the National Anthem at President Barack Obama's second Inauguration this afternoon.  We've got pics of the Hollywood glam star and hubby Jay-Z's grand entrance at the Capitol, plus video of her flawless performance inside... Beyonce entered the US Capitol steps looking gorgeous in a long black Emilio Pucci gown embellished with black velvet embroidery and chiffon, a Dior fur coat and gorgeous emerald earrings with a matching emerald ring both by Lorraine Schwartz: And Mr. Carter looked pretty fly himself in a white piping blue scarf and a tailored grey Tom Ford suit.  Beyonce took the Inaugural podium to sing the National Anthem after the President's speech.  And even after having to rip out her earpiece due to sound issues, she still gave a flawless performance.  Check it below:   More pics of their arrival:     The couple stopped to chat with MSNBC anchor Al Sharpton.   After Beyonce's performance, her little sis Solange Knowles tweeted: I couldn't be more proud on this day.
