PREMIERE FAB: Jay-Z, Emeli Sande, Alicia Quarles & More At "The Great Gatsby" PREMIERE Posted: 02 May 2013 07:26 AM PDT   Jay-Z, Gayle King, Emeli Sande and Alicia Quarles were among the celebs who attended the black carpet premiere of the Leonardo DiCaprio flim The Great Gatsby.  See black carpet photos inside and watch Jay-Z talk about the film's soundtrack. Rapper/mogul Jay-Z looked "smashing" in a dapper checkered-suit as he walked the black carpet for the premiere of the stylish-Roaring 20s era flick, The Great Gatsby.   The premiere was held at Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Jay helmed the film's “1920s-Meets-Now” soundtrack featuring Beyonce, Andre 3000 and more. Singer Emeli Sande covered Beyonce's "Crazy In Love" for the film's soundtrack. E! News correspondent Alicia Quarles wore a "jazzy" dress befitting the film's 20's swing era. A few months ago Chris Brown made headlines for hitting the stage and singing an unreleased track where he claimed ownership of his girl's lady parts, and now you'll get to hear the studio version!   With lyrics like “That’s my pu**y, baby/ You better not give it away”, Chris is sure to raise a few eyebrows as fans await his next album. He tweeted, “My birthday so ima give y’all free music that ain’t on the album. Y’all probably know this one..." Featuring Erykah Badu Posted: 01 May 2013 09:39 PM PDT Janelle Monae's "Q.U.E.E.N." video featuring Erykah Badu premiered tonight.  Watch the visual inside....   In her funky Alan Ferguson-directed clip for "Q.U.E.E.N.", hipster artist Janelle Monae teams with Erykah Badu aka Badoula Oblongata where the two star as a museum exhibit comes to life.  Instead of her predictable black-and-white tuxedo, Janelle throws on some Givenchy heels and shows off her shapely figure while claiming her QUEEN-status.  She talked to Rap-Up about working with Erykah and revealed their close friendship. “I just love her. We call each other twins. I talk to her on the phone at least three or four times a week. It was really inspired by our private conversation, dialogue that she and I have and continue to have. … She’s a strong woman, she’s an electric lady, she’s somebody that I look up to.” "Q.U.E.E.N" will appear on Janelle’s album The Electric Lady, dropping this summer.   Watch the video here:

R.I.P. Rapper Chris Kelly DEAD At 34 Posted: 01 May 2013 08:31 PM PDT Rapper Chris Kelly, of the famed Hip-Hop duo Kris Kross, died at a hospital in Atlanta, GA today.  He was 34.  More details inside...   Chris Kelly, the 34-year-old rapper who rose to fame in the 90s as one-half of the backwards dressing rap duo, Kris Kross, was pronounced dead earlier today at an Atlanta hospital.   A spokeswoman for the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Officer told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Chris was found unresponsive at his home on Wednesday and transported to the Atlanta Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.  An autopsy is planned at the medical examiner’s office for Thursday morning to determine the cause of death. We last saw Chris when he reunited with Chris Smith at the 20th anniversary concert for Jermaine Dupri's So So Def label.  He will be missed. Chris' mother and The So So Def Family released a joint statement saying: “It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backwards pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris – the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. SPEAKING OUT: Floyd Mayweather's EX-Josie Harris OPENS UP About BEING Assaulted & Their Dysfunctional RELATIONSHIP Posted: 01 May 2013 05:32 PM PDT Josie Harris, the woman whom Floyd Mayweather was convicted of assaulting in 2010, is speaking out about their dysfunctonal relationship and the 2010 incident that sent him to jail for three months.  Find out more inside.... In a lengthy article published by Yahoo! Sports, Josie Harris breaks her silence about being assaulting by boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, the father of her three children.   As Floyd prepares to return to the ring on Saturday May 4th, his first bout since being released from the Clark County Detention Center, Josie said she's speaking out to combat reports from Floyd's camp that have claimed that he never inflicted physical harm on her and that their was no violence.  However, Josie provided a doctor's report, a handwritten statement from one of the couple's children and an a police report that present a different case. Josie also discussed Floyd's love of money and his gambling issue. Here are the highlights: On Physical Abuse from the incident  - “Did he beat me to a pulp?... No, but I had bruises on my body and contusions and [a] concussion because the hits were to the back of my head. I believe it was planned to do that because the bruises don't show." On Floyd's “very risky” gambling - “His ever-increasing fight purses have also been a means to facilitate his love for a bet, with former business partner Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson telling of $250,000 wagers on the halftime scores of NFL games,” Rodgers writes. “Harris has stories that even outrank that, like when she went to the M Casino to drop off a bag containing $700,000 in cash to settle one of Mayweather's bets.” On Floyd's associates - "He has told me people have stolen from him, his house was robbed and they thought it was an inside job," The people who are just leeching on; I didn't like that. I wanted Floyd to run his business like a company…You [should] clock in and clock out and get a salary, not, 'I'm going to buy you a Rolex or a car.' Is it a charity? A very lucky-ass charity. It will be the Collins family in their first interview together since Jason became the first active male professional athlete in one of the four major American team sports to announce he's gay. Posted: 01 May 2013 02:50 PM PDT   Peter Thomas, the husband of "RHOA" star Cynthia Bailey has created an award show that will honor reality stars and all their ratchet behavior with the announcement of "The Unscripted Reality Awards." See who turned out for the announcement inside.... "LAHH ATL" star Mimi Faust was among the "talent" who came out for the announcement of The Unscripted Reality Awards.  Created by The Peter Thomas Entertainment Group, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Benzino and David Mays, their press release says,  "The UnScripted Reality Awards will honor individuals who star in the plethora of reality shows that entertain and intrigue us.  Just as the film community has the Oscars, the music community has the Grammys, and the television community has the Emmys, this award show will bring focus to the genre that is steadily making a huge mark on popular culture." CANDIDS: Lamar Odom & Khloe Kardashian DINE OUT After The LA Clippers Game + Master P CELEBRATES With Romeo And A "Louis Vuitton" Birthday Cake Posted: 01 May 2013 11:34 AM PDT Khloe Kardashian and her husband Lamar Odom were spotted out after the LA Clippers game last night.  Find out what Khloe said about her plans to start a family and see Master P celebrating his 46th birthday with son Romeo inside.... Last night, reality tv star Khloe Kardashian, seated with her bestie Malika Haqq, cheered on her husband Lamar Odom, as the LA Clippers lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (103-93).   Despite their loss, Lamar seem to be in good spirits as he and Khloe walked out of the Staples Center on their way to dinner at the Supper club. Khloe recently told US Weekly that she and Lamar want to have kids but she'll have to take hormones for that to happen. "I just wanted to be, 'Hey, let's have a baby,' and we would just have one. Kourtney did. And I wish that was the way for me. But it won't be. I'll have to take hormones. I do want to have a baby, but I don't feel the urgency to have one this very moment."   Also in LA.... Rapper Master P was seen leaving Mr. Chow with his son Romeo, after celebrating his birthday with family and friends. The "Make 'Em Say Uhh" rapper seemed to be in better spirits last night after makes a few waves last week for blowing off a flash mob in his honor.  He thought he was being "Punk'd" and told TMZ, "Nobody ever did that for me before."        During dinner, the "No Limit" soldier and his family dined on a cake shaped like a Louis Vuitton duffle bag in honor of his 46th birthday. Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon RENEW Their VOWS With A STORYBOOK WEDDING At Disneyland + Naomi Campbell And Vlad Doronin HIT A ROUGH PATCH!!?? Posted: 01 May 2013 10:39 AM PDT Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary with a renewal ceremony at Disneyland last night.  See their grand entrance inside and find out what sources are saying about Naomi Campbell splitting from her married boyfriend Vlad Doronin...   Last night, Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon shut down the Happiest Place on Earth, California's Disneyland, for a vow renewal ceremony (it was their 5th wedding anniversy!) and they also celebrate the second birthday Dem Babies (Monroe & Moroccan)! Earlier in the evening, Mariah posted pics and videos of her glam squad dolling her up like a princess as her little princess-in-waiting, the adorable Monroe, stood by her side.   According to PEOPLE, Mariah and Monroe were picked up in a horse-drawn Crystal Carriage from a Dream Suite inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Appearing to get a little misty eyed, Mimi tweeted from her carriage, "On our way to renew our vows. I love you @NickCannon shut down Disneyland KKLB".    Mariah and Monroe were driven to Main Street to meet Nick and Moroccan where the entire family proceeded to the Sleeping Beauty Castle.  The wedding was themed "Do you believe in fairy tales?" and their 250 guests enjoyed a fireworks show, 15,000 flowers imported from South Africa, Holland and France and access to Matterhorn Bobsleds, Peter Pan's Flight, Snow White's Adventures and the King Arthur Carousel. Reports are surfacing that Naomi Campbell and her billionaire boyfriend, Vlad Doronin are on the outs.  Although neither of them has confirmed a split, a source told the NY Post that the twosome "have been taking a break".  It's no surprise that things have cooled down, espcially since the source called their romance a "business arrangement."  Ouch.  “Naomi and Vlad have a complex relationship, and sometimes break up and make up. In many ways their relationship is like a business arrangement. Naomi brings glamor to his hotels and properties, and he treats her extremely well. But they spend a lot of time apart due to work commitments.” Despite the alleged "split", Vlad is still expected to be on Naomi's arm for her 43rd birthday bash on May 22 in Ibiza.

NOT AGAIN! Lil' Wayne HOSPITALIZED For Another Seizure.... Posted: 01 May 2013 10:31 AM PDT Lil' Wayne was hospitalized for a seizure last night.  Find out about his latest hospital visit inside....   After a series of seizures over the past few months, we've just learned that Weezy suffered yet another one last night in LA.  TMZ reports that Wayne was taken to Cedars-Sinai late last night by his bodyguards. He was treated for a single seizure and released early this morning. And before folks speculate that these "seizures" are related to drug use, you'll recall that he revealed on a recent interview with LA's Power 106 that he's been suffering from seizures since he was a kid saying "I'm an epileptic."
