SNEAK PEEK: Jay Z's "Picasso Baby" Project On HBO Posted: 27 Jul 2013 08:27 AM PDT Big artsy moves!  Jay Z is set to debut "Picasso Baby" on HBO.  Watch the preview inside....... On August 2nd, Jay Z will premier his new performance video “Picasso Baby” on HBO, the same network his wife debuted her Life Is But A Dream documentary. Filmed at the Pace Art Gallery in NYC, the entire experience is being called “Picasso Baby: A Performance Art Film.”  Watch a preview of Jay's 6-hour performance made into a film above.....   In other Jay-Z news.... Famed actor Harry Belafonte has expressed an interest in sitting down with Beyonce and Jay Z to discuss comments he'd made about their political activism (or lackthereof).  And Jay's snapback comments in a recent song.  During a recent interview with MSNBC, Mr. Belafonte said,  "I would be hard pressed to tell Mr. Jay Z what to do with this time and his fortune. All I can be critical is of what he is not doing,” the entertainment and Civil Rights icon said. “This conflict that is emerging was not from me as a direct attack on Jay Z or Beyonce. I was at a press conference in Switzerland. Questions were raised by the international press. They asked about the artists and the social engagement of the past based on a film we were watching…and how artists responded earlier in my life and how they responded today.” “And I made the observation that the highly powerful voice that our community has – Black America has – there is so much celebrity power that it was sad to see that the collective of the celebrity power had not been applied to bring consciousness to the inequities that we face,” “Having said that, I would like to say to Jay Z, to Beyonce: My heart is wide open and filled with nothing but hope and the promise that we can sit and have a one-on-one. And lets understand each other rather than try to answer these questions and these nuances in a public place. Watch the clip above.   BONUS: Mr. Belafonte has also become one of the most vocal celebrities to join the "Stand Your Ground" protest in Florida.  On Friday, he spoke to the Dream Defenders who completed their 11th day of a sit-in at Florida Gov. Rick Scott's office. The sit-in is their response to the 'not guilty' verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman. Story.   ANOTHER BONUS:  Jay Z popped on stage to surprise Beyonce on stage during her Mrs Carter World Tour show in Philadelphia this week.  He caught her off gaurd as she was just about to wrap it up. TAKE IT TO THE JUDGE: Nene Leakes SLAPPED With $2.5 Million LAWSUIT By Wedding Planner Posted: 27 Jul 2013 07:36 AM PDT Nene Leakes has been slapped with a $2.5 million lawsuit from a disgruntled wedding planner.  Get the deets on the lawsuit inside....   "I Dream of Nene" star Nene Leakes has been hit with a $2.5 million million lawsuit from celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook. Tiffany, who runs Dream Design Weddings (she also planned Ameriie's nuptials) claims Nene promised to pay her 15% of the entire wedding budget PLUS design fees and travel expenses. According to TMZ, Tiffany claims that NeNe's budget for the wedding was $1.8 MILLION and that $889,900 went towards (design fees) and $1,750 was spent on travel. Now, Tiffany wants Nene to cough up $2.5 million to cover her remaining balance, plus damages. In court documents, Tiffany admits that Nene put down a $18,750 down payment....but didn't pay for anything after that. Now here's where it gets weird...... In a series of tweets, Nene claims that her wedding planner was Tony Conway and warns her followers about dealing with "shady wedding planners."  She also claims the wedding was paid for in cash (likely by Bravo) and she doesn't owe Tony anything.     We're trying to figure out why Tiffany is suing Nene, and Nene is claiming Tiffany didn't plan the wedding. Is this just some manufactured drama to get us tune into the "I Dream of Nene" when it premieres? We guess we'll see on Sept 17th.....   In other Nene news, she tweeted that she will not being making any appearances on "WENDY"....   We're sure this all stemmed from Wendy bashing NeNe & Gregg's marriage--calling it fake and disgusting--after NeNe went on her show and they made up.  But it will be interesting to see if Wendy addresses it when her show returns in the fall.       Photos via Photos via L&S/Drexina A. Nope, she's not skinny dipping.  Don't worry, we thought the same thing.  Model/singer Cassie is just living it up in Miami in a nude bikini flaunting her bod and that ever present half baldie: She chilled out with her model bestie Kerry Morgan.  And Ms. Ventura's still rocking that fat diamond ring on her ring finger.  We guess she and Diddy are still doing just fine with their non-secret coupledom. VH1 Reveals The "Marrying The Game" Season 2 TRAILER + Big Sean's "HALL OF FAME" Cover Art + Nick Cannon's "Me Sexy" VIDEO Posted: 26 Jul 2013 04:05 PM PDT VH1 has revealed the season two trailer for Marrying The Game".  Watch the clip inside and see the cover art for rapper Big Sean's upcoming album Hall of Fame. Also, watch Nick Cannon's "Me Sexy" video. Rapper The Game and his "ex" fiancee Tiffney Cambrige are back for a second season of “Marrying the Game.” Now that Tiffney has called off the wedding and moved out of Game’s house with their kids, we spend the second season watching the couple try to work it out.  But...should they be trying to work it out?  Hmm.. The show kicks off on August 5 at 9:30 p.m.ET on VH1. And via Instagram, The Game has announced that he changed the name of his label Rolex Records to The Firm. He told fans, "So after a 6 long month legal battle with Rolex watches over the name ‘Rolex Records’ we lost & had to fully change the name of the label & it’s logo away from the likeness of Rolex’s crown & stay away from any & everything resembling Rolex. But today a new regime starts & I am officially the CEO of ‘The Firm’ & we are looking for elite artists to be a part of a new movement.”   And in new music..... Rapper Big Sean, who debuted The Black Collection from his Finally Famous clothing line a few months ago, has just revealed the covert art for his second cd, Hall Of Fame.  Available in both standard and deluxe editions, the album is due on August 27.  And over on the radio, Big Sean recently debuted his new single "Beware," featuring labelmate Jhene Aiko and Cash Money superstar Lil’ Wayne.  We have a feeling he and his girlfriend Naya Rivera aren't far off from some sort of a collabo as well... It's been two and a half months since Pha Pha popped out baby #2.  And everyone's fave southern "Housewife" is now showing off little Dylan to the world. In an Us Weekly spread shot at her Atlanta home by photographer Rob Ector, we see Phaedra, her hubby Apollo, their 2-year-old son Aiden & new baby Dylan all posing it up in their matching Burberry polo style shirts.  How...southern of them... Frank Ocean Rips Vocal Chord & Cancels Aussie Tour, Goes At Chris Brown In "Versace Versace" Remix Posted: 26 Jul 2013 01:26 PM PDT Things aren't looking good for your fave R&B prince Frank Ocean.  After ripping his vocal chord on the first night of his Aussie tour dates on Thursday, it's a wrap for that tour.   Details inside, plus why he's still not over that Chris Brown beef...according to his "Versace Versace" remix.... With some dates in Australia selling out in just minutes, Frank Ocean kicked off his Aussie tour last night at Melbourne's Festival Hall.  And after his opening night performance, Mr. Ocean went to the docs down under and found out he tore his vocal chord.  So now, future Aussie dates have been axed. The Live Nation promoter tells Billboard.com: "After last night's concert... it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show," the promoter comments in a statement. "It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal cords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice." It all started when Frank reportedly sounded a bit off key during last night's opener, and he told the crowd during "Forrest Gump" that "I'm sick...don't know if you care." He then told the crowd, without doing an encore,“I don’t wanna speak much tonight but I do wanna thank you guys.”   Meanwhile, Frank used this week to show he hasn't forgotten about Chris Brown slighting him at the Grammys.  Remember when Frank beat Chris out for an Award and Breezy was one of the only people who remained seated while Frank went up to accept his award?  Well, Frank surely remembers it.  And their fight that happened at a recording studio before that. Here are the highlights: On her butt being real: "I think it just goes back to when I first got into the picture and I heard that I had booty implants, I was so taken aback because for the longest time I was trying to hide my butt so then they’re saying I had something but then I took it as a compliment because then I was thinking, if it looks that good." On sexual confidence: Like I said, I was a tomboy and I started noticing I could get a lot out of people at a certain date. I was like, 18, (and thought) wait a second, I can work with these curves. But I really kind of hide my hips. I hated my hips. Now, I flaunt it. I was always flaunting my boobs. I loved my boobs. I bought them at 18. I loved them. I was taking away from the hip area. I was covering it up and it wasn’t till I got with my husband, Ice. He’s the one, I give him credit for me being me to this day because he’s the one who’s like, ‘You have something to work with, work it. BUSTED.....AGAIN! DMX ARRESTED For DUI In South Carolina Posted: 26 Jul 2013 09:21 AM PDT Rapper DMX was arrested in South Carolina this morning.  Yep, AGAIN! Find out what sent DMX to jail inside... Someone needs to dial up Iyanla Vanzant ASAP because there's more work to be done! You'll recall that Iyanla confronted rapper DMX about possible drug use during an explosive episode of "Fix My Life", and now it looks like the rapper is still "using".   Earlier this morning (around 3am ET), DMX (dude is going grey and still doing these antics) was pulled over and arrested for allegedly driving under the influence.  And he was also charged for driving without a license, this according to Splash News.  The ex Ruff Ryder was taken to Greenville County Detention Center and released an hour later, around 4 AM ET. Unfortunately, this arrest and mugshot puts X clear into the double digits when it comes to arrests and jail time.  SMH..... Photo via Splash

Singer Keyshia Cole posted a sneak peek at her upcoming collaboration with Steve Madden recently.  She's been working at it for a while, and ow,s he's got a whole new line for you ladies who are all about that R&B style for the hood. The soles of the shoes are inscribed with Keyshia's signature, something she seemed excited about. Keyshia tweeted, "Got my own shoes (Literally) in my closet. These are not all of them, but its kinda dope to see em lined up! #SoBossy   In other shoe launches..... Former reality tv star Emily B (who's also Fabolous' girlfriend as we all know) is launching her own shoe line.  She tweeted, "Ladies!!! I'm so excited to finally announce my NEW SHOE LINE "Emily B" dropping this Fall!!"
