"TOP MODEL" Alum Yaya (Dacosta) Alafi Shows Off Baby Bump For "Lee Daniels' The Butler" Screening Posted: 30 Jul 2013 08:30 AM PDT "Top Model" alum Yaya Alafia (formerly Dacosta) walked the red carpet for her new film Lee Daniels' 'The Butler recently, where she showed off her baby bump. Who knew?! See the fab pics inside.....   Yaya Alfia, a season three runner-up for "ANTM" (she was one of our faves but was beaten out by Eva Marcille), walked the red carpet for her latest film, Lee Daniels' The Butler, at last night's red carpet screening at Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia yesterday. Since "ANTM", Yaya has gone on to create a nice career for herself.  In addtion to marrying Joshua Bee Alafia last year, the mom-to-be has starred in huge films like Tron and the tv series "Ugly Betty" and "All My Children." Yaya, who's playing the role of Carol Hammie in the film, joked around on the red carpet with her co-star Cuba Gooding Jr, and director Lee Daniels. We're sure Lee was happy to put the legal battle around the film's name behind him so he could focus on what he does best.....make provocatve films.   Lee Daniels' The Butler hits theaters August 16th. DJ Khaled Drops "I Wanna Be With You" FT. Nicki Minaj, Future & Rick Ross + Nicki Laughs At The "Proposal" & Says Khaled Was "Kidding" Posted: 30 Jul 2013 07:54 AM PDT Nicki Minaj & DJ Khaled show why that publicity stunt of a proposal was just that....publicity....as their new song "I Wanna Be With You" hits the internet streets today.  Check out Khaled's newest track inside, plus Nicki laughing off his marriage proposal.... "I Wanna Be With You" is Khaled's newest single off his upcoming Suffering From Success album (out Spetember 24th).  He tapped Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross & Future for the track.  And now, we can see why Khaled pulled that 10 carat diamond ring out of his pocket and "proposed" to Nicki on video.  It's all to pub the feel of the song. Nicki hit up Funkmaster Flex's show last night to say she never took "her brother" Khaled seriously and it was all just his way of pubbing the track: “I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world ’cause Khaled is a master at what he does.  It was just another way for him to kinda give the world a glimpse on the feeling of this record.” “Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya’ll. Please let it go. He was kidding.  He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me. We’re brother and sister.” We figured.  Khaled still hit up DJ Felli Fel on Power 106 afterwards and claimed that he wasn't giving up because she could say yes next year.  he seemed serious, but we dont believe him. And the track is exactly what you would expect. Khaled adlibs Kirk Franklin-style, Future brings his most basic repetitive auto tuned "flow" to create a "chorus," Nicki spits about her million dollar punani, and Ricky closes it out with a few bars about his riches. STILL TOGETHER -- Soulja Boy CELEBRATES His 23rd Birthday With Diamond + Miss Mykie SPEAKS OUT On LEAVING "106 & Park" Posted: 30 Jul 2013 07:01 AM PDT Rapper Soulja Boy celebrated his 23rd over the weekend with long time "friend" Diamond.  See how they partied inside and hear what Miss Mykie said about leaving "106 & Park".  Over the weekend, rapper Soulja Boy celebrate his 23rd birthday in Los Angeles at Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood.  His friend and former girlfriend Diamond was there to celebrate him...and it looks like that might be back together.  The rapstess also popped up on a few of his Instagram pics.   Soulja put on in his signature gold chains and a gold and black shirt by Golden Hanger for the function.   And when he wasn't eating a slice of his Louis Vuitton cake (of COURSE he had an LV cake), the rapper entertained the crowd with his new "Versace" remix, “Crank That” and “Turn My Swag On”. Fans should expect to get a new album from the Soulja in 2014.  In case you were waiting...   And in tv news..... Former "106 & Park" host Miss Mykie spoke to Ebony.com about her departure from the show and her next steps. When asked about leaving the show (or getting fired) and her feelings towards BET, she said,  "It’s all love with BET and it will always be. I support BET and they support me 100 percent with my future endeavors. We communicated about what was going on. It’s the TV and entertainment world and you have to prepare yourself for transitions that may come. Change is inevitable. I have grown to understand that it’s just a part of life. It allows you to learn more about yourself. It can be scary or it can be exciting, and whether you like the situation or not you have to keep it moving and make the best of it." So what's next for Miss Mykie?  She told Ebony that she's using the large social media following she's gained to launch the first ever talkshow on Instagram! She and her management team iYO Visuals are using the platform's 15-sec video clips to highlight her personality and fresh take on pop culture. “I fell in love. I was like ‘OMG this is so innovative and creative,’” she says. “I was sold after I saw how professional it was. Everyone already has their own show on YouTube, blogs and websites, but nobody has done it on Instagram.” But the talkshow isn't the only thing Miss Mykie has in works. The budding rapstress also announced a new single that features rapper and singer Future, and she has set her sights on becoming an actress. Denzel, Paula Patton & More Hit The "2 Guns" Premiere In NYC Posted: 29 Jul 2013 08:20 PM PDT Denzel Washington his the red carpet of his movie premiere for 2 Guns tonight at the SVA Theater in New York City.  Check out who came out to support the action flick inside... Both Denzy and his wife Pauletta were looking younger than ever as they hit the carpet for the premiere of his brand new movie with Mark Wahlberg (in theaters August 2nd) 2 Guns. Not sure what they've been up to, but we're sure it has lots to do with major Euro vacays and a newly shaven head.  Denzel, who turns 60 this December, hit the carpet in all black and New Balance sneakers.  And his wife Pauletta kept it peachy in a flirty dress and matching Giuseppes.   Denzel & Mark's co-star, Paula Patton, was spotted leaving the Gramercy Hotel tonight on her way to the premiere in this stunning Basil Soda Fall/Winter 2013/2014 RTW gown.  She's joining Denzel in their second movie together after they co-starred in the 2006 flick Deja Vu. Don Lemon RESPONDS To The Backlash About His "Pull Your Pants Up" Controversy + Is "The View" LOOKING To Hire Hoda Kotb? Posted: 29 Jul 2013 02:37 PM PDT CNN anchor Don Lemon appeared on "The View" today to address controversial comments he made about Black America in the wake of the Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin trial.  Watch his response to those who have an issue inside and find out about ABC possibly pursuing Hoda Kotb for a co-host spot on "The View".     CNN anchor Don Lemon appeared on "The View" this morning to address and defend controversial comments he made on his CNN show.  His "Talking Points" about pulling up you pants, using the "n" word, finishing school and being an involved parent had many people feeling some kind of way.  He also said Bill O'Reilly (who blamed certain rappers and other foolishness for all the problems in the black community) didn't go far ENOUGH with his critique.  See what he said above.... Prior to his appearance, he also tweeted several statements to defend his talking points.   In other "The View" news"...... The streets are talking.....and they're saying that Barbara Walters and the folks at "The View" want Hoda Kotb to add some "diversity" to their panel, according to the NY Post.  Hoda, who has a news background which could add a good quality back into the show that it's been lacking since Meredith Viera left, is Egyptian and the panel does have two African American women on it currently with Whoopi Goldberg & Sherri Shepherd. A media insider explained Hoda's appeal to Page Six saying, “Hoda addresses several of their needs. She has news experience, which is something ‘The View’ has not had since Meredith Vieira left. She also adds some diversity to the panel.” Of course the news prompted a denial from Hoda's camp, who said, “Hoda loves her job at ‘Today’ and she’s very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day.” But you know...once the streets start talking....an offer has been made.  We will indeed be here for this if it happens.  Loves some Hoda.   Photos via Getty

REALLY THOUGH: So....A Hairstylist Confronts FOXY BROWN Over Not Paying For A $900 Weave?! Posted: 29 Jul 2013 02:08 PM PDT Another day, another Foxy Brown story that makes us wipe away that one lonely tear that represents hope that she will return to the Don Diva she used to be.   Inga "Foxy Brown" Marchand was caught on camera getting confronted by a hairstylist for not paying up the $900 owed for her new weavery.  Check it inside...   In a video posted recently by HipHopStan.com, Fox Boogie was put on blast for stiffing a hairstylist for $900.  Yes, we're more shocked than anything else her Yaky costs more than a couple hundred. (And miss us with the judgment because you know your mind skipped to that VERY thought FIRST as well).  But we're also shocked somebody decided to videotape the confrontation...and send it out to the internet streets. If falling on stage in a leopard & bedazzled outft that she pulled from the back of her closet wasn't the epitome of embarrasing, this ought to do it. No confirmation yet on when exactly this was filmed.  But does it really matter?  We thought we were on the road to Bad Girl Comeback after chick "allegedly" stole all that weave glue years ago.  Guess not. We're still keeping hope alive Foxy.  And hopefully this was all just a misunderstanding....

Kelly LEAVES Concert-Goers WAITING For 2 Hours (And Drops "My Story" Single) Posted: 29 Jul 2013 01:00 PM PDT Marcus Jordan, the son of famed NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, accidentally tweeted a pic of his penis!  See the "piece" pic inside and find out what R. Kelly did to upset his fans during a performance over the weekend.  (NSFW uncensored pic inside!)   The men in the Jordan clan might know how to wrap their thumbs around a few basketballs, but when it comes to keystrokes, Marcus Jordan seems to miss the mark on Twitter.  You'd think Marcus would know how to send a DM....but his thumb slipped and sent his d*ck pic to his public profile, i.e., the entire world. So what do you do what you accidentally show the world your business"  First....you apologize and save face.....    Then you quickly "recall" that your Twitter account had been hacked!  That wasn't your penis!  Your social media accounts have been compromised!   SMH.  For what it's worth....that pic was NOTHING to be ashamed of.  We wouldn't expect anything less from the son of one of the greatest basketball players of all time.      And in bad concert etiquette...... On Saturday, R. Kelly pissed off more than a few of his fans when he dared hit the stage at Macy's Music Festival two hours late. And here's the kicker....he never addressed his tardiness once hit took to the stage to FINALLY start his set! Prior to his late arrival, local reports say fans left the festival in droves, having grown tired of waiting for the Pied Pier past midnight. On Sunday, someone must have tipped of R. that his behavior was rude because he did issue an apology on Twitter, "Hey Cinci fans. (sic) Sorry about the tech problems last night. Thanks for hanging in there to see me perform. You are the best!" Also, Macy's Music Festival spokesperson Frances Santangelo stated the show was delayed by 50 minutes "due to Mr. Kelly's late arrival".   It should be noted, that "50 minutes" is disputed by nearly ALL of the fans at the concert who put it much closer to 2-hours. Get it together Kellz! Also...... Kellz released his latest single, "My Story" featuring 2 Chainz today.  It's the first single to come off of Kellz’s forthcoming 12th album, "Black Panties" (no release date).   The randomness: 1.  Regina King rejoining the cast of "The Big Bang Theory".  Story.

BLOOP! Keyshia Cole's Husband Daniel "Boobie" Gibson ARRESTED For Assault & Battery....In New Orleans! *UPDATED* Posted: 29 Jul 2013 11:32 AM PDT Drama down south!  Daniel "Boobie" Gibson, NBA baller & husband of Keyshia Cole, just turned himself in to the New Orleans Police Department.  And it's because he's been arrested on assault and battery charges.... Apparently some ish went down during Essence Festival earlier this month in New Orleans, because Cleveland Cavalier baller Boobie Gibson just trekked it back to N.O. to turn himself in this morning on charges that apparently stem from an incident during the Fest. According to TMZ, Boobie was indeed charged with assault and battery, and he was released at 11:09am CST.  No details have surfaced yet. No accuser has been named, but we have our thoughts (that we'll keep to ourselves...for now).  Interestingly, Keyshia's been tweeting all morning as if NOTHING happened, talking to her followers about hustling hard, being blessed and why she doesn't smoke weed (she said it made her fingers stink). She posted this pic about 45 minutes ago of 27-year-old Boobie in the driver's seat of an SUV: And he posted a Vine of them on a plane last night (likely to N.O.) joking around: Not sure what's up....but we'll be twiddling our thumbs until that dirt is dug up.   *Update* Boobie has finally spoken out about the matter and, as expected, claims people are simply trying to stick him for his paper.  In a statement this afternoon, he said: "Earlier this month during the Essence Music Festival, I was involved in an incident with other individuals while I was out with my wife." He continues, "It's unfortunate that some see opportunity in taking advantage of people who work hard for what they have achieved."
