Jay-Z has been spending time in the recording studio with Willow Smith, helping her out with her upcoming debut album. Here's what Willow had to say about it: "Whenever I have a creative block, he's always like, 'Do what artists do when they have a block. Make a song about it.' " Willow has also said that Jay has become like a creative mentor for her. Should be interesting to hear the album when it's done, after having gotten the HOVA touch. San Francisco's local news station, 7Live, took to Twitter to give away some details regarding Britney Spears' much-anticipated Good Morning America performance in the Castro District on March 27th, and it sounds as though EVERYONE is going to have an equal opportunity to see our gurl in action! According to reports: GMA's @BritneySpears SF concert tapes Sun. 3/27 at NOON, audience area opens on first-come basis at 9AM in the Castro District FYI Those arriving earlier to the @BritneySpears concert will be turned away: no lining up will be permitted — tapes 3/27 but airs 3/29 Awesome! It's Actually Happening! Mad Max: Fury Road To Start Filming In 2012 Posted: 12 Mar 2011 10:40 AM PST After all types of delays, it looks like the new Mad Max is now set to start filming next January. Here's what director George Miller had to say about it: "We will restart pre-production later this year and begin early next year—weather permitting. We've built the vehicles. We've designed the movie. The principal cast is locked in. The film is funded. It's all ready to go. We just wait." "All the contracts are signed. It's a locked-in film. It has been for 18 months now. Ironically, had we been shooting in Broken Hill in January and February—when we were meant to—we would have been flooded out." Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron are set to star in the film, but Take Me Home Tonight star Teresa Palmer will most likely NOT be involved when the film starts up in January. Here's what she had to say about it: "I was in negotiations for that movie for a while but then I had I Am Number Four come up and then Mad Max went on hiatus so no I'm not involved in it at the moment." Ah well. We're sure Teresa would have been fine in the film, but we were kind of already won over as soon as we heard Tom Hardy's name! Instead, they ran a picture of actress and singer Victoria Justice! Ouch! Check it out for yourself above! The REAL Nina Dobrev is pictured on the LEFT with her strikingly similar impostor Victoria pictured on the RIGHT. While both actresses are both VERY pretty and could easily be confused, c'mon Us! Now who are you going to trust for all your gossip and celebrity news? How about US? LOLz! It's okay though, everyone makes mistakes! Lets hope nobody loses a job over this. R.I.P. Lilith Fair Posted: 12 Mar 2011 10:00 AM PST Sad! But we suppose it had its time! Sarah McLachlan announced today that after attempting to revive Lilith Fair last year to bad ticket sales, she will no longer be running the female-fronted music festival! She explains: "Bringing the same thing back last year really didn't make any sense, in retrospect, without due diligence being done on how women have changed. In 12 years, women have changed a lot. Their expectations have changed, the way they view the world has changed, and that was not taken into consideration, which I blame myself for." Inneresting points! However, fear not, female music lady fans, she DOES hope to update the venue sometime in the future by "carrying forth the ideas from Lilith and maybe doing something new and different." Nice! John Stamos was briefly rumored to be the top-pick replacement for Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, and ever since then, no one has shut up about it. This morning, John hoped to put the situation to rest by speaking with Ryan Seacrest on his morning show and clearing the air once and for all. He explained to Ryan that the talk has "been very flattering, but nobody has officially talked to me and, quite frankly, as flattering as it is, it's really not part of my career plan right now. I'm just on a different trajectory." He then added: "I don't want to replace anyone, especially Charlie Sheen. It's just not where my head is at." That's probably for the best. Jay Baruchel And Alison Pill Are Getting Married! Posted: 12 Mar 2011 09:20 AM PST Such happy news! Jay Baruchel announced today that he and fellow actor Alison Pill got engaged over the holidays! He reveals: "I was going to give her a ring, and I wasn't sure. I wasn't ready in my heart to say what it was. When I gave it to her, I just said, basically, 'Shit or get off the pot.' I said, 'Fuck it, will you marry me?' " Ha! Not a typical proposal! But thankfully, she must have appreciated it, because she said yes! Jumper Survives Golden Gate Bridge Jump Posted: 12 Mar 2011 09:00 AM PST We're so glad he's safe. If the reports are true, though, then we just don't know what to say about why he jumped. Oh, right, yes we do: If the other kids in the group urged him to do it, and peer pressure made him, then that's just a horrible thing to do. And as for the jumper, you should surround yourself with some better friends. This story could have ended in tragedy very easily, like, 98%-of-the-time easily. Because that's the percentage of leaps being fatal from the bridge. Here's some of what happened: Most jumpers die a grisly death, with massive internal injuries, broken bones and skull fractures. Some die from internal bleeding, while others drown. But the 17-year-old lived, and a statement from his school said he suffered no severe injuries beyond bruising and tenderness. He was rescued by a surfer who paddled over and took him ashore, California Highway Patrol Officer Chris Rardin said. Extremely. Lucky. Unfortunately the Golden Gate Bridge is a veritable hot spot for suicidal jumpers, having an average of one every two weeks. The city is looking at options to install some sort of suicide prevention on the bridge, perhaps a steel netting. People should never urge someone to do something like this, whether or not they know they person will take it seriously. And if it was because of depression, then, suicide will never be the answer. The Robonews Continues! New Robocop Gets A Writer! Posted: 12 Mar 2011 08:40 AM PST Last month, Robocop news was all the rage…especially in Detroit! First, we heard that Detroit residents wanted a Robocop statue, THEN we heard that a roboreboot of the original film was in the works again, and NOW we're hearing that progress on the film is being made and a writer has been hired! MGM has brought on newcomer Josh Zetumer to write the script, who will work with Brazilian director Darren Aronofsky Jose Padilha on the film. Exciting news for Robocop fans everywhere! Sure, we'd prefer to see more original movies getting made instead of all these reboots….but maybe after this gets made, they'll finally erect that Robocop statue in Detroit! For some reason, we want to see that happen! LOLz. Are U excited for the Robocop reboot? How about a Robocop statue???
