Rebecca Black Unplugged!

Posted: 19 Mar 2011 12:00 PM PDT

Well…it's an improvement!

In an effort to show the world that she isn't a talentless 13 year old girl whose parents bought her a pop song, Rebecca Black recently performed an acoustic version of her overnight sensation of a song, Friday!

Ch-ch-check her out (above) unplugged!

Like she said herself on Good Morning America, she may not be the most talented person in the world, but she certainly can carry a tune!

We just hope that if she continues down this path, she finds herself some better material to perform!

Best of luck, gurl!

Gross! Former Saturday Night Live Cast Member Slams Gay Relationship On Glee!

Well, knowing this about her now, it's no wonder she hasn't worked since then!

Victoria Jackson, who starred on Saturday Night Live from 1986-1992, recently wrote an op-ed piece to the World Net Daily called Make Me Liberal, in which she not only discusses her ignorant fear of Muslims AND President Obama, as well as her less-than-kind feelings toward Darren Criss and Chris Colfer's gay kiss on last week's episode of Glee!

She says:

"Did you see Glee this week? Sickening! And, besides shoving the gay thing down our throats, they made a mockery of Christians – again! I wonder what their agenda is? Hey, producers of Glee – what's your agenda? One-way tolerance?"

Seriously? Glee's agenda is one-way tolerance?

Because we're pretty sure that one-way tolerance is actually criticizing and being disgusted by anything doesn't fit an individual's close-minded, ignorant and specific ideals - AKA exactly what YOU're doing, Victoria.

Such a shame that once again, people who call themselves Christians insist on spewing out so much hate.

UCLA Girl Withdraws From School Due To Backlash Over Racist Rant - Even Though She Wanted To Make Entire Blog Dedicated To The Subject!

Posted: 19 Mar 2011 11:20 AM PDT

Wow. We very much would like to find a way to sympathize with her, but sadly, we just can't - especially in light of THIS recent news.

Alexandra Wallace, the UCLA student who made headlines after she offensively posted a video on-line lashing out her Asian classmates for using cell phones in the library, has announced that she has withdrawn from the university due to backlash from her peers.

She writes:

"The video has led to the harassment of my family, the publishing of my personal information, death threats and being ostracized from an entire community. Accordingly, for personal safety reasons, I have chosen to no longer attend classes at UCLA. I was trying to produce a humorous YouTube video, but instead offended the UCLA community and the entire Asian culture. I am truly sorry for the hurtful words I said and the pain it caused to anyone who watched the video. Especially in the wake of the ongoing disaster in Japan, I would do anything to take back my insensitive words. I could write apology letters all day and night, but I know they wouldn't erase the video from your memory, nor would they act to reverse my inappropriate action.''

Sounds sincere, right?

Well, apparently, those sentiments are FAR from the truth, because according to Wallace's own FATHER, John, she wanted to make an ENTIRE blog with similar racist remarks! And dad SUPPORTED the idea!

According to his Facebook page, which has since been taken down:

"My daughter wants to start a blog."

"She's asking for domain suggestions for 'Asians on their cellphones in the library!' She's shooting videos as I write."

So unbelievably twisted, offensive, and wrong.

Hopefully this whole ordeal can serve as one very-much needed wake-up call for her and her father. There's no place for that kind of ignorance ANYWHERE, and especially not a college campus.

'Victim' Of Jonathan Rhys Meyers Withdraws Assault And Battery Complaint!

So much for that!

It recently came out that a service worker at JFK airport had filed a complaint against Jonathan Rhys Meyers for allegedly verbally and physically abusing her last year, but now, the 'victim' Kathryn Williams is seriously changing her tune!

According to a statement from her lawyer, Elliot Budashewitz:

We have withdrawn her March 7, 2011 Complaint filed against Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the Supreme Court, Queens County. In addition, any interpretation of said Complaint as alleging physical contact made by Mr. Meyers in inaccurate. There is no claim that Mr. Meyers made any physical contact with Ms. Williams or that she sustained any "physical" bodily injury as a result of any physical contact. Any inconvenience caused Mr. Meyers by any misinterpretation of the complaint to the contrary was certainly unintended.

Hmm - we wonder what caused such a dramatic change of tune!

Tisk, tisk! Those are some pretty horrible allegations to falsely make about someone!

But oh, well! It's over with now!

Here's hoping that everyone can just put the matter behind them and move on with their lives.

Here's What You Can Expect On The Charlie Sheen "Tour!"

Posted: 19 Mar 2011 10:20 AM PDT

charlie-sheen-tour-poster.jpg

Prepare your mind tools, all you people who bought out his shows in under 10 minutes. We've got some intel on what will actually be happening during the My Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not an Option tour, hosted by none other than Charlie Sheen.

You're already got your tickets to the show, one of the people you really need to thank for your upcoming journey into the mind of Sheen is Live Nation executive and tour coproducer Joey Scoleri. Joey's working diligently to get this show off the ground next month and he's sharing with the world exactly what they can explain for the Vatican rock-star assassin during his shows. Joey explains:

"Charlie has definite ideas on what the show is going to be and it comes down to the fact that he is an entertainer, so it will be entertaining… First and foremost he's an actor and a performer and the funniest guy in America right now, so the show he is working on right now will be largely spoken word, but having heard some of the monologues he is working on right now, it goes from hysterically funny to dark to very thought provoking. He is a truth seeker, that's his thing Right now he wants people to hear the truth and see the truth and I think that's why he has been as open as he has been about his life. He's not a liar, I actually consider him the most honest man in America. Now, you may not agree with what you see, but he is being honest."

Yes, honesty is good…and honestly, we think he is NUTS! But hey, you all seem to love him, so we won't argue. What we will do is give you some more info on how this tour will play out. First, no two shows will be alike. As Charlie isn't having any writers working on this show, what each city will see is a fresh batch of Charlie on whatever whim he happens to be on.

With so much improvising, "audience participation" will be utilized and welcomed in the show, to some capacity. The show is expected to run no shorter than an hour and ten minutes, but whether it goes longer is entirely up to Charlie. As for what the format will be, Joey explains:

"There will be some multimedia, but largely just him and a microphone and he's going to talk, and having heard some of the stuff he is going to say, people are going to be pleasantly surprised. There will be some things that are shocking and provoking, but you're going to laugh…There will be some video presentation. There is so much content out there about Charlie Sheen that has been user-generated, fan-generated, media-generated. There is a ton of stuff that will help provide context for the show. We don't know exactly what it is yet, we're still working on it."

Sounds…strange fun.

Let's hope this turns out to be worth all the money who all shell out for it. We have faith that Charlie will bring his, um, unique sensibility for sure…we're not so sure he'll show up to begin with!

Just saying! One night, he's too tired or he gets over it and its all over! Just saying!

Christina Applegate In New Pilot!

Christina Applegate Lands New Pilot For NBC

Christina Applegate has just landed a new pilot for for NBC!

It'll be a comedy, and it's written by an SNL scribe who is also a producer on the fab Parks and Recreation!!

There seems to be no title yet, but here's what it's about:

[Applegate] will play a working mother who never expected that she would have children. The show will also feature the house husband and parents of Applegate's character.

That sounds hilarious if they really play up the fact that she didn't expect to have kids!

Applegate is no freshman to TV either, having previously starred in the great Samantha Who?

This is great news, Christina! We're so happy for you! Let's hope it gets picked up!!

Are U excited by the idea of this show AND that Christina Applegate is going to be in it??

The Lorax Will Speak For The Trees… Next Year!

Posted: 19 Mar 2011 09:00 AM PDT

lorax gets movie release date

Dr. Seuss fans, rejoice!

Back in October, we were excited to report that Dr. Seuss' underrated masterpiece The Lorax is being adapted into a 3-D feature film by the team behind Despicable Me and Horton Hears A Who.

Now, we've learned that the film will be released in theaters on March 2nd, 2012, and we can't wait!

For those of you whose history with Seuss ends at The Cat in the Hat, the original Lorax story/cautionary tale revolves around a hairy little creature who stands on his tree-stump podium and tries to convince people not to destroy the forest.

Here's how Universal has described the story in their adaptation of The Lorax:

"[It's about] a boy who searches for the one thing that will help him win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world."

As long as the important message about the environment from the original story/cautionary tale is still present in this movie, we'll be happy.

Plus, as we've mentioned before, the movie's got one hell of a vocal cast, including Zac Efron, Betty White, Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Rob Riggle, AND now Taylor Swift as well!

We're pumped!

Will U check out The Lorax next March when it's released?
