Lindsay Lohan Now Refuses To Plea Bargain, May Get Off Scott Free

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 12:17 PM PST

On Friday we learned that Lindsay Lohan‘s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, is working toward securing a plea bargain so that Lindsay can avoid going to trial and possibly jail for longer stretch of time. The only problem with the plea bargain option is that the prosecutor is insisting that L. Lo get some time in jail. Today we learn that Lindsay is adamant that she does NOT want to take the deal and would rather go to trial. We also learn that the jeweler who Lindsay allegedly stole from has sold off the surveillance video that is being used in the case and has potentially hurt the prosecutor’s case. In the end, because of the sale of this video, Lindsay could get off totally Scott free from the felony grand theft charge.

Lindsay Lohan doesn’t care what her lawyer is negotiating … she’s not going to cop a plea to anything if it involves jail time … sources connected to LiLo tell TMZ. TMZ broke the story …Shawn Holley is trying to broker a plea deal that will almost certainly involve jail time. Holley and prosecutor Danette Meyers are going to see Judge Keith Schwartz next week, and Holley wants to take the judge’s temperature on how much jail time he’ll give her if she pleads guilty. The judge made it clear at the last hearing — Lindsay WILL do time — probably 3-6 months. But sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ … she doesn’t care what kind of deal Holley gets — if there is ANY jail time involved, she wants no part of it. We’re told Lindsay wants to go to trial and believes the surveillance tape will clear her name. Note to Lindsay — it’s a bad gamble.

In Lindsay‘s favor, tho, is news that the surveillance video that reportedly shows proof of her crime has been sold off to Entertainment Tonight. As a result of the sale, the prosecutor’s case could be hindered and the case against Lindsay could be completely thrown out of court … meaning she gets off entirely:

The “victim” in the alleged Lindsay Lohan jewelry store heist just cashed in on the surveillance video and in the process may have really messed up the prosecutor’s case. The jewelry store — Kamofie & Co. — has been working with a broker for the last few days and the broker has been on the horn with numerous media outlets, salivating at the prospect of cashing in. The video has been sold — but it’s causing fits for the lawyers in the case, particularly the prosecutor. Lindsay’s defense is that the necklace was a loan … the jeweler begged to differ. So intent is critical, and if the jeweler is called to the stand and admits this was just a convenient way of scoring some quick cash from the media, Kamofie will have about as much credibility as (insert favorite celebrity who lied in “comment” section). We know lawyers in the case have been in touch with the people at Kamofie, trying to dissuade them from selling the tape … to no avail. No word on how this will affect plea bargain negotiations.

BUT … the fact that Lindsay was arrested for this crime means that she did violate the terms of her probation. Even tho she could get off for the theft, she may still get jailtime due to probation violation … that is, if the judge decides to punish her so. Lindsay will be back in court on Friday … we’ll have to wait and see how this all will play out then.

Courtney Love Ain’t Shy About Showing Off Her Breasts

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 12:00 PM PST

Courtney Love, who just settled her Twitter defamation lawsuit to the tune of $430,000 this week, decided to cheer herself up Thursday night by attending an after party event for the Tibet House benefit concert at Gotham Hall in NYC. As you can see from the semi-NSFW photos below, Courtney opted for a sheer, see-thru dress that magically disappears under flashbulbs … she also opted out of wearing a bra.

I’m guessing that C. Love didn’t mean for her boobs to be on display for the photographers but, it’s Courtney Love, so who the Hell knows. Whether or not she decided to wear this particular outfit on purpose is totally irrelevant … Court has never been shy about gettin’ nekkid in front the camera … despite the fact that most of us really don’t want to see it.

24 Hour Party People

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 11:47 AM PST

David and I have been enjoying a fabulously fun but very long weekend … and we are having a blast!! Yesterday afternoon, we made our way to Pariser Platz to check out a guerrilla art project called Knit the City and then spent the rest of the day shopping. Last night, we met up with our friend Mark, made friends with new people and caught a late night concert and afterhours dance party. Today, we ventured out for a lovely French brunch before we head out tonight to the huge GMF dance party tonight. It’s been go go go … but also fun fun fun.

Knit the City is a neat project where knitters cover parts of major European cities will little yarn characters OR they wrap public places in yarn sweaters. I picked up the book here in Berlin on our first day in the city last weekend … then we heard that they were staging a yarnstorm in Pariser Park this weekend. ‘Twas fun little thing to check out. After an afternoon of shopping and eating, we rested up for a bit before meeting up with Mark and his boyfriend Aaron for dinner at Maria Peligro — which has THE best Mexican food in all of Berlin:

No lie, the food was as good or better as anything I’ve eaten in LA. Afterward, we went to a bar called Barbie Deinhoff where we met a nice young British bloke named Tobit who decided to hang out with us for the rest of the night. We made our way to see Mark’s friend Simone (stagename Mama) play a concert near the remains of the Berlin Wall. She was really fantastic. Here is Mama‘s music video for her song Horses so you can get a fell for her music:

Mama Simone is so lovely, we all enjoyed her show very much. Check her out on Facebook HERE. After the concert, at about 3AM we then branched off and made our way to some danceparty that was held inside a movie theater. We didn’t stay for long but we did meet some young American college students who are living here in Berlin … and who mistook us for fellow college students :)

Today, we ventured out into Prenzlauer Berg for brunch and found this fantastic French restaurant called Poulette:

I got to wear my new Berlin winter hat and everything! We have just been really enjoying the city so much. We are so happy that we still have a week left of awesome Berlin to enjoy before we have to go home. Tonight is the big GMF party (that we missed last Sunday due to the Academy Awards) which we hear is amazing. Let’s see how late tonight turns out ;) Hope your weekend was just as awesome as ours has been!!

David Arquette Gets Behind The Wheel Of A Car Again After His Accident

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 10:57 AM PST

On Friday, troubled actor David Arquette got himself into a pretty bad car accident that, thankfully, left no one with any serious injuries. Yesterday, one day after the accident, Arquette got right back on the horse again and back behind the wheel of his car. I’m guessing wherever David had to go it was pretty important … and that he actually wore his seat belt this time.

You’d think after having a head-on car crash, David Arquette might steer clear of Los Angeles’s busy roads. But less than 24 hours after his terrifying accident, the actor has been spotted getting behind the wheel of another of his cars. Dressed in a dark piece suit, a striped shirt and tie, the 39-year-old was seen getting into the driving seat of the motor as emerged from his LA home today. David was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon after the collision in West Hollywood, California. The actor, who was driving a silver Cadillac, swerved into an oncoming vehicle after the car in front of him stopped suddenly, according to TMZ.

Being involved in a car accident can be a very scary experience … I suppose it’s a good sign that David Arquette has already gotten over his fender bender and isn’t scared off from driving. I’m almost certain that he is now a fan of wearing his seat belt … let’s just hope he continues to do so just in case he gets into any other accidents in the future. Wear your seat belts, y’all!!

Christina Aguilera Returns To The Scene Of The Crime

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 10:44 AM PST

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matt Rutler, who were both arrested on drinking charges last week, returned last night to the scene of their crimes. As we learned last Wednesday, Xtina and Matt spent much of their Tuesday night drinking bottles of wine at Osteria Mozza in the hours before they were arrested by the police (she for public intoxication, he for drunk driving) … last night, the couple decided to dine and/or drink at Osteria Mozza again.

Now, we can’t know for sure but … I suppose it’s conceivable that Xtina and Matt decided to go back for more bottles of wine … but my guess is that they did NOT indulge in the vino. I suppose the couple are trying to get back to normal as if nothing happened, which I guess is pretty smart. There is nothing wrong with gettin’ one’s drink on, so long as they don’t get into a car afterward and put other people’s lives in danger. Is it possible that Xtina and Matt learned their lesson? Let’s hope so.

Miley Cyrus Hosts ‘Saturday Night Live’

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 09:41 AM PST

Back in February we learned that Miley Cyrus would be hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live and last night was her big night! To be honest, I was only marginally interested in seeing Miley on SNL because I was hoping she would appear in the SNL skit The Miley Cyrus Show (which, she did — but as Justin Bieber) but I wasn’t really all that looking forward to her hosting the whole show. But, having watched the ep in full, I have to say … well done, Miley! Not only was she a pretty good host but the skits that the SNL writers came up with were actually semi-funny. Read on to see all of Miley‘s SNL promo photos and some clips of her, IMHO, best skits of the night.

Miley appeared in almost all of the skits, including the cold open where she played Lindsay Lohan pretty realistically (in a Charlie Sheen-centric skit):

In her opening monologue, Miley performed a song about not being perfect and, to be honest, I LOLed more than once. Here is video of Miley‘s monologue:

The highlight for me, tho, was her appearance as Justin Bieber on The Miley Cyrus Show:

Miley Cyrus appearing on The Miley Cyrus Show skit on Saturday Night Live was so meta, I loved it entirely! In case you missed the ep or just want to watch it in its entirety again, you can do so here:

While I wouldn’t say that Miley Cyrus was the best host SNL has ever had, I think she did a better job than most and actually made me laugh more than once. I actually enjoyed last night’s ep of Saturday Night Live … which doesn’t happen very often. I’d say Miley did a great job. What do y’all think of Miley‘s performance on SNL last night? Did you enjoy?

Watch: Charlie Sheen Brings His Crazy Show Online To Ustream

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 08:40 AM PST

Not content with spreading his message of insanity merely to traditional media, Charlie Sheen teamed up with Ustream to host his very own online “talk show” called Sheen’s Korner wherein he and his close inner circle of enablers and hangers-on just spew their crazy rants for 50 minutes. In the course of the show, Sheen showed off his new wrist tattoo which reads “winning” and he tries to make clear that he is not bi-polar. Read on for other tidbits from Sheen’s Korner and then watch the entire 53-minute show in full … if you dare.

He’s already clocked up 1.8million followers on Twitter fives days after joining. But tonight Charlie Sheen became an even bigger internet sensation after broadcasting his own home-made webcast called Sheen’s Korner. The hour-long show streamed live on UStream.tv and attracted 104,000 viewers in the first 15 minutes. The actor, who was visibly sweating in a black T-shirt with a green dollar sign on it, was joined by his assistant Rick Calamaro, one of his two girlfriends Rachel Oberlin and others at his Sherman Oaks home. Reading from a series of cue cards and notes Sheen delivered a radio-type show to fans. He also revealed a new ‘winning’ tattoo on his left wrist. At one point he claimed he was waiting for a telephone call from the U.S. President, which did not arrive. ‘It did not happen but have absolute faith it will,’ he said to his captive audience as Oberlin giggled in the background. The star had repeatedly announced the show earlier today on his Twitter feed. ‘WORLD.. live 7:00p pacific time..! Tune in, turn on… Its #TigerBlood tonight!!,’ he wrote. He also slammed Dr Drew Pinsky, a world famous addictions specialist who has said the actor may be ‘manic’ and ‘bi-polar’ in a section called: ‘wish they were me forever.’ Sheen later hit back saying: ‘I’m not bi-polar, I’m bi-winning.’ Television show host Nancy Grace, who has said it was ‘a legal and criminal justice mystery’ why Sheen hadn’t gone to jail, was also taken to task. ‘You wish you guys were winning but you’re not. What’s the opposite of winning? Losing,’ Sheen said of the pair. But he also had praise for Colin Farrell, baseball player Brian Wilson and Sean Penn in a section called: ‘Kind of wish I was them for 10 minutes’. In another section called ‘plan better’ – which is fast becoming another stock Sheen phrase – Oberlin took to the microphone while sitting on Sheen’s lap. She described how the day before she’d stepped on her dress and tripped up the stairs, to which Sheen and the others cried: ‘Plan better.’ Sheen also signed a polaroid photograph for a fan and promised to post it to them. ‘Even though the post office is closed tomorrow… but we are winning so we’ll get this out immediately,’ he said. The 45-year-old actor briefly mentioned his on-going battle with Warner Bros over payments for the remaining episodes of Two And A Half Men, which were cancelled following Sheen’s rant about the show’s creator Chuck Lorre – in which he called him a ‘pussy punk’ and a ‘charlatan’. He also said he was watching himself in Apocalypse Now on a loop and showed the camera a scene where Harrison Ford’s character tells him to ‘terminate with extreme prejudice’. He ended the show that he dubbed his ‘maiden madcap experiment’ by reading poetry and promising to return the next night. ‘Trolls beware,’ said Sheen before the screen went blank.

While I did not watch the Ustream broadcast live last night, I did flip thru the video below to watch some of the highlights. Basically, Sheen’s Korner is just more of the same sort of nut ball ravings that we’ve been getting for the past couple of weeks. To be honest, it’s starting to get old and tired. Ustream reports that a little over 666,000 people logged in to watch the show … but I can’t tell if that’s a lot or if it’s a sign that people are starting to feel Sheen fatigue. In any event, the entire 53 minute show has been archived for your viewing pleasure just in case you missed it live or, for some reason, want to watch it again. Check out Sheen’s Korner in full below:

It’s painfully clear that Charlie Sheen is having the time of his life. It really appears that he is truly getting high off of this attention … so my guess is that he won’t be slowing down anytime soon. Did any of y’all watch this show last night? Which parts were your faves? Or, are you totally gettin’ sick of all things Charlie Sheen?

First Listen: A Snippet Of A New Britney Spears Song Titled ‘(Drop Dead) Beautiful’ Has Leaked

Posted: 06 Mar 2011 08:02 AM PST

On Friday, during her radio interview with Ryan Seacrest, Britney Spears talked a bit about her upcoming new album Femme Fatale and she revealed that one of the songs on her album features guest vocals by a new singer/rapper named Sabi. Today we get to hear a snippet of that song, which is titled (Drop Dead) Beautiful. Check it out below.

I’m really diggin’ the vibe of this song and I’m really curious to hear how much of the song will feature Sabi. This snippet is ruined, tho, by the horrible sound tag for Bad Media Karma that was added by the outlet that leaked the clip. In any event, I think this clip gives a pretty good feel for the song. Having listened to this clip a few times already, I’m thinkin’ this song will be one of my faves from Femme Fatale. All of the clips have been great thus far … I can’t wait to hear more. Considering all the leaking going on … it’s possible the entire album may make its way online sooner rather than later. What do y’all think of this clip? Does (Drop Dead) Beautiful sound like a song you’re gonna love?

MaMa’s House

Posted: 05 Mar 2011 11:00 AM PST

After spending a somewhat somber day in the city yesterday, David and I decided to hit the town with some friends to enjoy some revelry on our first Friday night in town here in Berlin. We met up with Zuzka and her crew — Mike, Arthur, Travis and his lovely French girlfriend — for a night of conversation … and beer. ‘Twas a pretty late but really fun night.

We rode the double decker bus for the first time and I swear, it is the best way to get around the city. Yes the tram system and S & U-Bahn trains are efficient but peeling thru the streets of Berlin from the front, top row of a double decker buss is really freakin’ fun! But, I digress. We hit a couple of bars as the night wore on and ended up closing out the night at a place called MaMa. While there, we talked away the hours over bottles and bottles of beer. It may not sound too exciting but it was really a lot of fun.

Plans for today are still being formed. David and I are heading out to check out at Knit the City event at Brandenburg Gate and then we’re supposed to see a concert by a local performer (and friend of our new friend Mark). This weekend is our first full weekend in Berlin … we’ve been here for a week and still have a week to go. We are SO loving it :D
