Charlie Sheen Stars In His Own Short Film

Just about a week after he was fired from his job on Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen has decided to release a preview clip from a new short film he starred in and produced titled Operation Greyhound. The film, which will supposedly be released in full later this month, is a comic take on Sheen‘s attempt to “free” his beloved trailer from the Warner Bros. Studios lot. It’s not really that funny or inventive but it’s been about 5 minutes since Charlie Sheen did something crazy enough to warrant some attention so … meh, check it out below.


Just a week after he was fired from Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen has made a triumphant return to the small screen in a spoof short film he conceived and starred in for RadarOnline.com. In the improv sketch, the Golden Globe winning superstar plays the self-mocking role of ‘Warlock’ — a Hollywood actor who plots to seal back his mansion-like trailer from a studio lot after he was sensationally fired from the top rating sitcom in which he starred. Warlock is joined on the stealth mission by his ‘Goddess’ — who is played by Sheen’s real-life girlfriend, Natalie Kenly. Wearing camouflage, a maroon beret and dog tags, ‘Warlock’ is the commander in chief of ‘Strike Team Five’ — consisting of ‘Gnarls Gnarlington’ (international radio jock Scott Dooley), ‘Juarez’ (Sheen’s real life make-up artist Gabe Solana), ‘Kill’ (paparazzo Steve Han) and ‘Lidsville’ (the actor’s personal assistant Rick Calamaro) — who take up their leader’s mission to covertly break onto the studio’s lot and drive the bus off the set without security catching them. The video, which was filmed in the actor’s Mullholland Estate home beginning last Wednesday, begins with ‘Warlock’ in Sheen’s living room hatching the plan and route to get to the studio. “We don’t even exist,” he tells his comrades, adding:”Unless we find where we are, we cannot find where we are going.” For off-the-wall Sheen, who earned almost $2 million an episode on Men, Operation Greyhound is his first project since being dumped as the hedonistic bachelor Charlie Harper in Chuck Lorre’s Emmy award winning sitcom. It’s also the first military role he has reprised since Hot Shots Part Deux and before that, Platoon! When hatching the plan, Sheen told RadarOnline.com: “If somehow we can somehow arrange going to the studio and getting my bus, it will be the most epic piece of television ever produced! The parody’s story-line is torn straight from the pages of the current scandal engulfing the star. The 45-year-old turned the embarrassment of having his trailer driven of the Warner Bros. Television lot — the celebrity equivalent of packing up your desk after being fired — into comedy. Last Thursday night, the superstar’s own trailer bus — loaded with everything from a bed, to gourmet kitchen and plasma TV — was freed from Warner Bros. in Burbank, Calif., where it had sat beside Stage 26 for the actor’s use during breaks while shooting Two and a Half Men. His self-confessed “total hang out pad” was going to be towed, but the actor sent a repairman to fix it up so it could be driven to his Mulholland Estate home with dignity. The actual footage of the trailer leaving Warner Bros. was used in Operation Greyhound — but was Sheen inside when it was driven off? Operation Greyound was filmed over 72 hours last week, but the final scene had to be postponed after gun-hunting cops descended on his mansion to confiscate an “antique” weapon and bullets of a different caliber last Thursday. Filming resumed on Friday night. The full version of the short film — that we’ve dubbed a Tiger Blood Production — will be released later this month.

‘Super 8′ Releases A First Movie Poster

Yesterday we got to check out the full length movie trailer for the new J.J. Abrams-directed & Steven Spielberg-produced film Super 8 and today we get to check out the first official movie poster released for the film. With only a few months to go before Super 8 hits theaters (on June 10), it looks like the promo machine for the film is heating up. Check out the poster below.

Despite what you may have seen floating around the internet up until now, this is the first official Super 8 poster released by Paramount. There was also a synopsis that was released earlier today:

“In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness a catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.”

After I posted the trailer yesterday, many of y’all commented how much Super 8 looks like another famous Spielberg film — E.T. the Extra Terrestrial — and I have say that I agree. I’m thinkin’ this film will have a definitely Spielberg feel (a la E.T.) with the look and intrigue of an Abrams production … at least, that’s my hope. This poster is cool in its simplicity, I think. I can’t wait to see more promo stuff from Super 8.

Newly Single Jessica Biel Hits The Town

Late last week we learned the news that Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake, who had been dating for about 5 years, decided to end their relationship. Over the weekend, Jessica stepped out in public for the first time since the split and she was lookin’ footloose, fancy free and ready to mingle.

Jessica Biel is a single girl again – and she’s stepping out on the town. The actress, who is no longer dating her boyfriend of more than three years, Justin Timberlake, appeared happy as she left Café Entourage in Los Angeles Saturday night. Dressed in jeans, a leather jacket and donning a long feathery earring, Biel, 29, smiled for photographers outside Hollywood’s sleek new all-night diner, where she celebrated a birthday of her younger brother, Justin. And why not show off her gorgeous smile? A source told PEOPLE of Biel’s split with Timberlake, 30, “There are no hard feelings.” Adds another source, “There really wasn’t a final straw. They’re just two people who realized they wanted different things in life and were headed in different directions.”

While there are rumors going around that Justin dumped Jessica because he has started up a romance with Mila Kunis, it would appear that Jessica isn’t letting all that talk keep her down … or keep her at home. She looks fab in these photos (even with that feather roach clip-lookin’ earring) and I’m sure she’ll find herself a new love soon enough. Now that Jess is back on the market, who do y’all think she should hook up with next?

Avril Lavigne Gets A New Neck Tattoo

Last Summer we learned that Avril Lavigne and her boyfriend Brody Jenner went and got each other’s names tattooed on their bodies and today we learn that Avril has gotten herself another tattoo. No, this time Avril‘s tat isn’t Brody-related … she went and got a safety pin tattooed on her neck, which she shared on her official Twitter profile … cuz, she’s so alternative.

A girl’s night out usually involves some dancing and champagne with your best friends. But if you’re Avril Lavigne it’s a very different story. The punk rocker decided to get a tattoo after her girls’ day out turned into a girls’ night out’, last night. The Canadian singer made the last minute decision to get inked and took to Twitter to tell her fans about it. The 26-year-old settled on a safety pin design on her neck for the latest inking. The painful decision came after she tweeted that she was enjoying her Saturday catching up with friends. ‘Girls day!!!!!! Listening to my new record with my girls and catching up… Love u babeskis,’ she wrote. But merely moments later, she informed her fans that she was thinking about getting some new ink. ‘Uh-oh girls day turning into girls night…. Should I get a tattoo???? Haha’ Once at the tattoo parlour, Avril then gave some crafty hints about her chosen design. ‘Omg..k. Here we go… It’s comes in handy all the time, it can hurt you, but at the same time keep you together, safety first!’ she wrote. Teasing her fans into guessing what the design was, she proceeded to give them updates by posting pictures of tattoo guns and her neck being worked on by her artist. Finally she made the big reveal by posting a photo of the half-finished design. ‘Its a…… Safety pin bitches!!!!!’ she wrote. ‘What a great day with my girlfriends….. Hahah. Just being me… Girl time is always necessary. And I got a tattoo. Holy crap hahah.’

Um … ok. I guess Avril decided to get a safety pin tattooed on her neck because she wants to show the world how “punk” she is? Safety pins are synonymous with punk styling so … yeah … Avril = punk. LOL! She is so silly, I can’t even take the girl seriously, to be honest. Earlier today we got to see Zac Efron‘s new tattoo and his ink I totally dig. Avril‘s is so … unnecessary. But, tattoos are a personal thing and if she’s happy with it, then that is all that matters. What do y’all think of Avril‘s new “punk rock” tattoo? Do you love it?

Britwick & Spederline Root For Sean Preston At His Little League Game

A week ago today we saw a few adorable and fun photos of Britney Spears and her loverman Jason Trawick rooting for little Sean Preston at a Little League game that took place the weekend before. Today we get to see new photos from Sean P‘s baseball game this weekend where Britwick were, once again, in the hiz to show their support. Daddy Kevin Federline was also at the game (as coach) and everybody ran into everybody … it was a mixture of Britwickness and Spederlineness … all for the love of Sean Preston.

She already has two adorable little boys under the age of five. But with another serious relationship comes the possibility of some new additions for Britney Spears, who looked as though she was getting broody again yesterday. The pop star, 29, was seen bouncing a bonny baby boy on her knee as she attended her son Sean Preston’s Little League baseball match. And it looked as though boyfriend Jason Trawick, 37, was also feeling paternal as they couple cooed and cuddled her friend’s son as they sat in the stands. The couple have been dating for 18 months but Trawick, who is close to her sons, has no children of their own so he and Britney may be considering having a baby of their own The pair cheered on Sean as he played for his team Westhills Yankees, which is coached by his father Kevin Federline, who Britney was married to for three years and has another son, four-year-old Jayden. And luckily for Britney, there appeared to be no animosity between her ex-husband and Trawick as they ran into one another at the match. It was also the first time Britney has been photographed with Federline since they separated in 2006. Federline, 32, watched the game with girlfriend Victoria Prince, offering encouragement to the youngsters. He and Trawick, while not exactly friendly, seemed happy to greet one another. Trawick even approached Federline to offer his congratulations at the end of the game in Calabasas. Of course, this wasn’t their day, but Sean’s, who made the most of his chance to shine, showing his talent as he hit the ball, ran round the pitch and got into the spirit of the game. Showing he has inherited the confidence of his pop star mother, herself a child star, he ignored the cameras as he strutted around, enjoying the attention of his extended family.

HMMM … I guess I hadn’t realized that Spederline had not been photographed together in so long … but it is nice to see that everyone can get along. It is crazy to me that Britney‘s firstborn baby is now a Little League baseball star. I mean, it doesn’t get much cuter than that. I also am loving how into that baby both Britney and Jason seem to be. They were photographed holding the baby last week and then again this week … might Britwick be considering expanding their family? I think it would be lovely if Britney and Jason got themselves hitched and had at least another baby. Britney seems so happy with Jason. It’s great to see her family life lookin’ so happy and normal, ain’t it?

Madonna Does ‘Out’ Magazine

Yesterday we got our first look at a previously unseen photograph of Madonna before she became the international superstar, Queen of Pop, in the inaugural Ladies We Love issue of Out magazine and today we get to see photos from Maddy‘s full spread. As you may know, both Madonna and Britney Spears have their own covers of this special edition of Out magazine … and this is our first look at photos snapped of Madge way back in the day when she was completely unknown. Check out the fantastic photos below.


These photographs of Madonna were shot by Richard Corman before Maddy released her debut album and they have never been published before. Even this early in her “career” (or pre-career, to be more exact) you could tell that Madonna was bound for stardom. This is the Madonna that took the world by storm … these early photos are a fun revelation. Check out the photos in the gallery below. Which one is your fave? I love the “Boy George” braids photo but, in all honest, they are all really freakin’ cool.

Hurray For LA!

David and I completed the last leg of our 5 Year Anniversary trip and safely arrived back home here in LA last night. We were able to enjoy a nice brunch with David’s sister Eden before we jetted off and then … we were home again.


Altho we had a FANTASTIC time in Berlin, I think we were a bit relieved to be home again … if only for the fact that we could unpack after being 3 weeks away. The weather is warm, the sun in shining, it’s great to back in LA. I foresee a lot of relaxing in the coming days but tonight I am heading out to the Mayan Theater to see Peter Murphy live in concert. It’s Monday, no one likes Mondays so … let’s not talk of it :) Have a Happy New Week, y’all!!

It seems pretty likely that James is just showing us his finger poking thru the front opening of his jeans. The British Royal Mail Pays Homage To English Magick

The Royal Mail in the UK is paying homage to country’s long history with the world of magick (magick with a “k” refers to supernatural magick of witchcraft & wizardry while magic with a “c” refers to mundane magic of slight-of-hand illusionists) by featuring some of Britain’s most famous magickal characters from myth and fiction on a special Best of British – Magickal Realms series of postage stamps. Magickal characters ranging from the King Arthur legend all the way to J.K. Rowling‘s world of Harry Potter will be featured on stamps this year. Read below for more deets and check out some of the stamps being offered this year.

DON'T be surprised to see a magician popping through your letterbox in the coming weeks. The Royal Mail yesterday unveiled its 2011 range of stamps on the theme of the Best of British. And Merlin will feature in a collection called Magical Realms along with Voldemort and Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series. The year will start with the Genius of Gerry Anderson including puppets from Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Supercar. Stamps of animals will mark the 50th anniversary of the WWF. Musicals also feature, including a poster from 1937 hit Me and My Girl. Royal Mail's Philip Parker said: "This is by far the most exciting start to a year for Royal Mail stamps."

These stamps are amazing!! What a great series of stamps. While I’m certain the rest of the Best of Britain stamps are just as fantastic, these stamps devoted to the magickal characters of British history (both old and new) are by far my faves. I’ve been meaning to read Terry Pratchett‘s Discworld book series for years, so seeing his characters included in this Magical Realms series has strengthened my resolve. I’m not at all a stamp collector but I’m gonna hafta see about getting my hands on these. It never really occurred to me how many magickal stories are of British origin. Well done, Royal Mail!

Brad Pitt Turns Badass For His New Movie

After spending some time last year supporting his pseudo-wife Angelina Jolie as she filmed movies around the world, it would appear time for Brad Pitt to do some work of his own. Brad (and I presume, the family) have relocated to their home in New Orleans, LA so that he can begin work on a new film titled Cogan’s Trade. As you can see in the photos below, Brad Pitt is lookin’ more like Bad Pitt in this new role as a badass.

[Brad Pitt] began shooting this week in New Orleans on the crime thriller Cogan’s Trade in which he plays the title character – Jackie Cogan – a professional enforcer who investigates a heist from a mob protected poker game. Pitt, 47, was spotted on set Friday sporting slicked back dark hair and long sideburns. In between scenes the actor, who owns a house in the city’s famed French Quarter, puffed away on a cigarette and appeared to be trying to hide the fact. Pitt has previously discussed his struggle to kick the habit and in 2009 revealed he’d been successful in quitting marijuana because of his kids. Cogan’s Trade also stars Javier Bardem, James Gandolfini, Mark Ruffalo and Casey Affleck and is set for a 2012 release.

I generally like the movies that Brad makes where he plays a tough character. He deffo has that look about him that makes the characters believable. David is a big fan of these sorts of films so this might be something that we’ll have to check out when the film gets released next year. I’m anxious to see the rest of the Brangelina clan around the city. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the kiddies … I suspect they’ve already grown considerably. The Jolie-Pitts are in NOLA, can’t wait to see photos of the fam them emerge.

Lindsay Lohan Flees LA For NYC, Decides To Quit Smoking

When last we checked in with the abnormally troubled Lindsay Lohan, she was getting pulled over for a traffic violation on her way to the hair salon just hours after a court hearing in LA last week. Today we learn that Lindsay has been given leave of SoCal and has been allowed to fly back East to NYC to spend some time with her family there. Lindsay flew into NYC last night and was greeted by the paparazzi … which she seemed to take issue with on Twitter as soon as she landed.

I love ny – but the paparazzi @ jfk just gave me an anxiety attack….. i was half asleep! they’re such animals :( well- @ least im with my family in the end…. xo

I have to say, it’s very smart on Lindsay’s part to play the role of victim in the public eye. If she can get the public to believe that she is being harmed in some way, they may be more likely to overlook some of the stuff that she has done in the past. Unfortch for her, tho, she’s been playing this “woe is me” game for far too long … I find it hard to believe that very many people are willing to give her any sympathy at all … but, again, she’s smart to make the play anyways.

In positive L. Lo news, it is being reported that she has decided to quit smoking. IMHO, smoking is a deadly habit that offers nothing but illness and disease … so it is very good news that she has decided, apparently, to kick the habit:

Lindsay Lohan has quit smoking — a great move for her health … whether there’s a jail sentence for probation violation on her horizon … or not (as she continues to believe). Sources close to Lindsay tell TMZ she’s continuing on the path to a healthier life by kicking her nicotine habit … cold turkey no less. We’re told Lindsay quit about a week ago and now works out with a trainer every morning. While LiLo has been adamant about not accepting a plea bargain that includes jail time — Lynwood Correctional Facility … her old haunts … is a non-smoking detention center.

This move to quit smoking comes at a very stressful time in Lindsay‘s life, so I wish her nothing but success in her attempt to quit cold turkey. I suppose if there is one positive thing about her delusional belief that she will not get sent back to jail, it’s that she may not feeling the unyielding pangs of stress that might make her want to smoke more than usual. Let’s keep a good thought for Lindsay on this one. Any positive move on her part should be supported.

Charlie Sheen’s Twin Sons Celebrate Their 2nd Birthday

Twin babies Bob and Max Mueller-Sheen — the sons of estranged couple Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen — celebrated their 2nd birthday this weekend at a lavish birthday party held at the Bel Air mansion of Rick and Kathy Hilton. Brooke is currently filming a new reality TV show with her BFF Paris Hilton so the site of the twins’ party shouldn’t really come as a surprise. Also unsurprising is the news that daddy Charlie Sheen was NOT invited to the party. I suppose his crazy antics weren’t desired at the birthday party of twin baby boys.

Charlie Sheen has received the ultimate snub from his estranged wife Brooke Mueller after she threw a birthday party for their twin sons – and didn’t invite him. Max and Bob, who turn two today, were joined by around 50 guests yesterday, who celebrated at the bash thrown at Kathy and Rick Hilton’s Bel Air mansion. The backyard of the home was decked out with balloons and decorations with guests arriving with gift baskets, books, games and matching push cars and clothes. A source told People.com: ‘The party is a casual and child friendly celebration. ‘It’s all about Max and Bob and their friends. They seem to be having a great time, and so is Brooke.’ The news comes after it emerged Mueller’s parents have flown to Los Angeles to help their daughter care for her her sons. With their former son-in-law unable to provide any hands on care, Brooke is shouldering the burden of caring for the boisterous two-year-olds. The 32-year-old’s parents live in Florida but have flown to LA where they intend to look for a permanent base in order to be more hands on. After a fraught two weeks, in which police removed the twins from Sheen’s home, Brooke and Sheen, 45, have now agreed a custody deal. ‘Brooke and Charlie have reached an agreement that resolves their differences,’ their lawyers said in a joint statement after two weeks of intense negotiations. For the benefit of the children, the terms of their agreement will not be disclosed. They ask the public for privacy on this matter.’ While the details of the deal are private, it is thought Mueller will have physical custody of the children, as initially agreed following her separation from Sheen last year. As part of the new agreement both she and Sheen will undergo regular drug testing.

I have to say, I absolutely understand why Brooke would not want Charlie to be at the twins’ birthday party … if you consider his behavior over the past few weeks, there’s no telling what he might’ve done just to get a little more attention. That being said, it’s extremely sad that these cute little boys have to be separated from their father because of his unstable nature. I would hope this party wasn’t orchestrated for reality TV purposes but I find it hard to believe that footage from this party won’t end up on Brooke‘s new reality TV show. In the end, I hope that the little boys had a fun birthday … it’s just such a shame to think of the turmoil their little lives have to deal with at such a young age. Happy Birthday, Bob and Max!

Detroit Rocker Alice Cooper Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

The 2011 class of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has been announced and it is with great pleasure that I pass along the happy news that Detroit rocker Alice Cooper is among this year’s inductees. Cooper‘s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is another feather in the musical history cap of Detroit, MI because Detroit musicians now make up more than 10% of the Rock Hall‘s inductees! Alice Cooper joins other Detroit Rock Hall of Famers Bob Seger, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Aretha Franklin and more as the latest musician from Detroit Rock City to forever become a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer.

You already knew it was Detroit Rock City. But talk about hogging the spotlight: When Alice Cooper is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tonight, he’ll be the 18th Detroit performer to make the cut, joining such greats as Bob Seger, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin. The addition of Cooper means Detroit now claims more than 10% of the entire hall of fame aristocracy — a formidable share of the glory for a city that knows how to flex its musical muscle. Cooper, who will accept the honor with surviving members of his original band, is in a 2011 class that includes Neil Diamond, Tom Waits and Dr. John. He’ll be introduced by fellow shock rocker Rob Zombie. A Detroit native whose career was fueled at venues such as the Grande Ballroom, the 63-year-old Cooper relocated years ago to Arizona. But he remains a proud Detroiter — even a diehard Lions fan — who adores the city’s loud, tough legacy. “We always felt like we were up against the New York and L.A. bands. You’d feel like an underdog because there’s no glitz and glamour about Detroit,” he told the Free Press. “But what there was about Detroit was hard rock. And when it came down to it, where the rubber meets the road, the Detroit bands could kick everyone’s butts. And steal the equipment. And the girlfriends.” When Alice Cooper gets inducted tonight during a swanky New York ceremony, Detroit will have a solid 18 performers in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame — more than 10% of the entire rock hall class. By way of comparison: The entire U.K. can boast 30 hall of famers, while Chicago has about a dozen. You can’t claim scientific rigor with counts like these. An artist’s geographical identity can be tenuous, after all. But these 18 are all acts strongly associated with Detroit by the world at large. The total also doesn’t account for the four Motowners inducted in secondary fields — Berry Gordy Jr. and Holland-Dozier-Holland in the nonperformer category and James Jamerson and Benny Benjamin as sidemen. Detroit still has plenty more to go: Eligible acts include Ted Nugent, the MC5, Mitch Ryder & the Detroit Wheels, Jack Scott, Was (Not Was) and Anita Baker. Hall of fame eligibility kicks in 25 years after an artist’s first release, which means another generation is in the wings. Kid Rock will start getting his shot in 2015, Eminem in 2021 and the White Stripes in 2023.

This is SUCH fantastic news. Detroit has a proud and storied history in music and I am so pleased to see Alice Cooper carry on that tradition. Here is a list of the 18 Detroit musicians who have already been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

Is The Beckham Family Planning A Move Back To The UK?

Over the weekend we got some great news about the CONFIRMED sex of the forthcoming Beckham baby (it’s a girl!) but today we are hearing a bit sad news that has yet to be officially confirmed … but, unfortch, could be very likely. There is a new report going around that claims that the Beckham family, who have happily been living here in the US for the past few years, are planning a permanent move back to the UK :(

David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly decided to move back to Britain full-time. The couple will allegedly return to ‘Beckingham Palace’ at the end of the year when David’s LA Galaxy contract expires. He wants to finish his career at an English club, while Victoria wants to be closer to her parents, the News of the World reports. A source said: “David and Victoria have made a real go of living in America and it’s become a second home to them. They love Los Angeles and will always have a base there. But David’s contract will run out soon and they’ve started thinking about their future. “He’s keen to finish his career at an English club if possible, although he hasn’t ruled out other options. Victoria is torn because she’s made so many friends in California and loves the lifestyle, but she misses her family in the UK a lot.” The former Spice Girl, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child, apparently wants to avoid her sons becoming “Beverly Hills brats” and will send them to Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ School in Hertfordshire. The source added: “She hates the idea of them becoming stuck up and spoilt like a lot of American kids. And there’s a part of them both that would love to see their kids educated at a UK school while they are in their teens.” The pair are expected to keep their £11m LA mansion for occasional visits.

Ugh. Even tho this report is still a rumor at this point … I’m bummed because of the likelihood that the news could be true. The Beckhams have been living in the US for a few years now, Becks has done pretty much all he can do with the LA Galaxy, their boys are growing very quickly and will be settling into formal schooling very soon — and there is a newborn baby on the way. I always loved the idea of the 4th Beckham child being born here in the US but, then again, I can see how the family might want their little girl to be born in England like the rest of the family. I guess we’ll have to see what the Beckhams have to say about this rumor should they be asked … but, to be honest, I’m dreading their response. What do y’all think? Will Les Beckhams move the family back to their homeland or do you think they’ll make a go of it and continue to live here in the US instead?
