Erica Mena's "Baby Bump"--A LAME Publicity Stunt? Posted: 17 Feb 2013 06:54 AM PST After pics of Erica Mena showing off an alleged baby bump hit the net yesterday, she's been tweeting vague statements about people "assuming" things and how she's doing "boss" things. Apparently, in 2013, the new definition of a BOSS is someone who does blatant attention whoring on social media, then blames others for listening and watching.
Check out pics of Erica downing liquor the same night she showed off "a bump".... While hosting a party at Bar 7 in D.C. Thursday night, "Love & Hip Hop" star Erica Mena, already a mom of 1, posted these pics. People HOLDING her tummy, calling themselves "auntie," and Erica saying how happy she is. But it sounds like she posted pics--and allowed others to post pics--acting like she's pregnant, but she may not be. Erica, who seems to think it's cute to joke about pregnancy, has been tweeting things like:
Last time we checked, doing a blatant action exclusive to one meaning--like HOLDING YOUR PROTRUDING BELLY and co-signing when people call themselves "auntie"--is far from making an assumption. It's called putting 2 and 2 together. There's a difference. And based off the above pics we just received, of Erica holding a bottle of Patron over her mouth, her "bump" pics very well could have been nothing more than an immature publicity stunt. Additionally, it's more sad than anything that a mother would jokingly lie about a pregnancy. And then there's these pics from last night at Stadium nightclub in D.C.:
Her tummy looks much more flat while she partied with WPGC radio personality Sunni, who posted the pics. And by the way, our source spotted her taking shots of Nuvo last week at Isis King's fashion show in NYC. I'm sure this lameness and immaturity will get rewarded in the form of a new "LAHH" storyline. The basicness of it all. We're over it. Pics: Twitter |
FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY: Rihanna Reveals Her First Collection For RIVER ISLAND At London Fashion Week Posted: 16 Feb 2013 10:14 PM PST Rihanna's had a big UK weekend. She shot the cover of Elle UK's April issue when she arrived in London, then she headed over to London Fashion Week to debut her brand new collection for River Island.
We've got her fab look, and a look at her designs....
Rocking a fitted black tank dress, Rihanna made her way to her show to present her River Island Autumn/Winter 2013 collection. She tweeted:
The "Stay" singer debuted a collection full of clothes that she indeed put her imprint on. The sexy, minimal, skin baring looks are all looks we've seen her rock over the past year or so. So it's no surprise that's what we saw fresh off the "runway":
She was spotted backstage with her models: And her model friends Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne were there to support. We're feeling the designs. Congrats Rih! Check out video of Rih greeting her audience: Pics: WENN/Twitter |
SCHOOLIN' LIFE: Beyonce's HBO "Life Is But A Dream" Documentary (FULL VIDEO) Posted: 16 Feb 2013 09:39 PM PST Beyonce Knowles just exposed her life for the world to see in her HBO documnetary "Life Is But A Dream." It aired tonight, and in case you missed it--and all the first time revelations--check it inside... *FULL VIDEO INSIDE*
You've seen all the previews. Now check out the HBO documentary, "Life Is But A Dream" (for now, only a portion is online). What we get to see for the first time: Beyonce revealing first hand that singing is her first passion, A baby belly, Blue Ivy smiling and chillin' with mommy, Beyonce's love-gushing birthday toast for Jay at his 2006 birthday party, the twosome singing Coldplay's Yellow" to each other, pink rollers she rocked while in labor, and we hear the song she wrote at her saddest point--after her miscarriage. Here are the highlights from the inspiring and revealing documentary: On her miscarriage Two years ago I was pregnant for the first time. I heard the heartbeat. Something happens when you hear the heartbeat. You truly know there's life inside you. I picked out names. I envisioned what my child looked like. I was feeling very maternal. My family was so excited. I flew back out NY to get my checkup. And no heartbeat. Literally, the week before, I went to the doctor and everything was fine. But there was no heartbeat. I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I'd ever written in my life and it was the first song I wrote for my album. On letting her father go as her manager I'm feeling very empty because of the relationship with my dad. I'm so fragile at this point. And I feel like my soul has been tarnished. I feel like I had to move on and not work with my dad. And I don't care if I don't sell one record ever again. It's bigger than the record. It's bigger than the career. On the biggest reason she wanted to manage herself At some point you need your support system. You need your family. You're trying to have an everyday convo with your parents, and you have to talk about schedules. I needed boundaries. And I think my dad needed boundaries. I needed a break. I needed my DAD. On if she got her relationship with her dad back No. It was hard. I had to sacrifice my relationship with my dad. It was a stressful, sad difficult time. But I had to let go. On Blue Ivy's name We passed by a beautiful blue tree [overseas]. I think it's blue ivy. That would be quite appropriate. On feeling Blue kick for the first time I felt the baby kick for the first time. It kicked 5 times! I've been waiting for that moment. Hopefully it'll do it again so Jay can feel it. On bringing Daniel Sr. (Julez's dad) to Paris with them last year This is the time when your memories really stick with you for the rest of your life. I wanted to give Julez the memory with his dad. I know how important that is. On hiding her pregnancy There's no words that can express having a baby growing inside of you. But you have to make sure everything is ok. So I had to hide the best thing in my life. I was scared to make plans, but I went to the doctor who said 'Listen, you have to let it go. You're healthy and if this baby is supposed to be here, the baby is going to be here. Go do everything you've been doing and everything will be fine.' On being her own manager My father taught me so much about being in this business. Business and being polite...it doesn't match. You can be fair. But me being polite wasn't me being fair to myself. Now I'm learning how political things are. A lot of the crazy things my father did were necessary. On getting frustrated Sometimes I think, should I just retire? All I need is NOT me. I can't do it by myself. On connecting with Jay We connected on a spiritual level. It's just a coincidence that he's also an artist. Hes taught me so much about being an artist. I, like a lot of women, give up so much. But he doesn't....Having this baby made me love him more than I ever thought was possible. It's every woman's dream to feel this way about someone. On giving birth I felt like God was giving me the chance to assist in a miracle. There's something so relieving about life taking over you like that. You're playing a part in a much bigger show. And that's what life is....the greatest show on earth. My baby was born out of a conflict in my life. And that conflict had to be settled. On ended up with a blessed life My grandmother used to light candles all the time in the church to pray for my mother. I am a result of my grandmother's prayers. My grandmother prayed for me. My mother prays for me. God is real. And God lives inside of me. It doesn't matter where I am. I feel it. Like right now, I'm hot. It's inside of me.

FULL VIDEO: Beyonce Reveals All To Oprah On "Next Chapter" Posted: 16 Feb 2013 08:09 PM PST Beyonce's sit-down with Oprah has finally aired in full. Check it under the cut in case you missed it, plus the highlights you should know.... Tonight on "Next Chapter", Beyonce sat down with Oprah Winfrey at The London Hotel IN NYC this past Tuesday, just hours before her premiere of her HBO documentary. And the two bonded over the business of being real women, business itself, and connecting the dots throughout your life to learn who you really are. Beyonce said her daughter Blue Ivy showed her who she really was, made her life's meaning become clear. And only then was she able to reflect on everything in her life that's gotten her to this point. On splitting with her father One of the hardest things I've ever done. Someone you love. Someone that's given you life. Someone that's done such a fantastic job. It's a part of life and a part of growth. And I had to tell myself, at some point you have to be the adult your father has raised you to be and prepared you to be. On sharing her miscarriage with the world There's so many couples that go through that and it's one of the hardest things I've been through. It's one of the reasons I didn't tell people I was pregnant the second time around. You just don't know. On discussing how to handle the publicity around her daughter It's so much to think about, but in the end it just wasn't right to [sell images] and things like that. Someone would end up hounding and it's just not safe. So we put the pictures out there. On Blue Ivy's personality She is hilarious. And she is fire. I didn't think she would be like that but Lord am I going to have a time! She loves books. She loves the books that you bought her...she now has the Blue Ivy Book Club. On Jay-Z as a dad Incredible. He's a different human being. And it's really beautiful to see a young man, such a great father. I'm so lucky. On expanding the family I definitely want to have another child. But it's also important for me to do what I love. I love to make music. I wanted to see after I had my daughter, if I was still as passionate about performing. Maybe after this next tour I'll have another. I did a show 3 months after giving birth and that was so crazy. I clearly didn't know I would be able to do that after gaining 57 pounds. How Jay has helped her in her career I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man. It just gives me such a foundation. We were friends first. We were on the phone first, no dates, for a year and half. Just to have someone you just like, is so important. On taking Oprah's advice on not talking about her intimate relationships I took that as far as I could take it. On her Sasha Fierce alter ego Now I don't really need Sasha Fierce. I don't really need that alter ego that's SO difference. Now I think I'm showing more of myself in my music. I'm more connected to my art-Sasha Fierce lives within me all the time. On growing as a business woman You can be kind, but you have to stay true to yourself....I've only shared who I am through my music and I feel like that mystique is so important. I still don't feel comfortable with talking about certain things. But I feel like it's so much fun to share my stories through photography. On what's next I'm in the studio. I'm on tour. One thing I'm trying to learn is time management and it's the hardest thing to me. And I need to take my time. I've been raised to work so hard so it doesn't even feel right to me to not work.

Azealia Banks Drops Video For "Harlem Shake Remix"....Despite Beef With Creator Baauer Posted: 16 Feb 2013 11:20 AM PST Azealia Banks just dropped the video for her "Harlem Shake Remix." Just to prove she really doesn't care what creator of the (new) song, Baauer, had to say about her using his track.
Peep the hair twirling video inside.... Azealia Banks loves to stir the pot of drama. But this time, we don't really think it's her fault. This "Harlem Shake" craze taking over Youtube and everywhere else--where one person in a group starts dancing to the Electro House track, then the camera cuts to everyone in the camera shot doing their own crazy dance once the beat drops. So Azealia took the track and rapped over it for a remix. Something often done by rappers and singers in the business who want to put their own spin on things. And rarely--especially if they are not selling it--do they need to get permission to do so. When "Harlem Shake" creator Baauer (no, not the one we're used to hearing/seeing Diddy do back in the 90's...this is some new ish..but we were confused to) heard Azealia's remix, he went off on her via Twitter and had her remix snatched off Soundcloud on Valentine's Day. But we're sure if Jay-Z had laid some tracks on that mug he would have been saying "Thank You." Billboard reports:
And now we're here. With a video. And we like her version. But she's on her own with the F bombs. Check it above. |
Posted: 16 Feb 2013 10:14 AM PST Beyonce traveled back to her home state of Texas to party it up at the 2013 All-Star weekend with her husband Jay-Z. And they hit up Michael Jordan's big 50th Birthday Bash last night alongside Carmelo & LaLa Anthony, Drake, Kobe & Vanessa Bryant, Nas, Ludacris & Eudoxie, LeBron, Teyana Taylor and plenty of ballers.
Pics and video inside of the party everyone who anyone in sports made sure to be at...
Drizzy loves the fans. He was spotted hitting up MJ's 50th's birthday bash at the Houston Museum of Fine Arts last night. Word has it MJ rented out the gorgeous space for a $100,000 donation--which is pocket change for the man who makes $80 mill a year dropping his Air Jordan shoes and endorsements. And it was a packed out party to celebrate the man who is the prototype for a top NBA baller. MJ's fiancee' Yvette was front and center with her man. Beyonce was spotted chillin' on the couches as she partied it up with the people close by. And Julius escorted the couple out through the mob of people. Vanessa and Kobe Bryant snapped pics with the Anthonys. And yes, Carmelo's wearing his ring. Good sign. Cute pic by Vanessa.
La rocked a sexy black dress with silver trim. And she posted pics from the dance floor with her girl 'Nessa and her fab girl Eudoxie. Hey Luda. He and Eudoxie make such a cute couple.
Nas was there chillin' with OKC's Russell Westbrook. Even R.Kelly was there to perform for his Chi-Town homie. Melo kicked it with his good friends--Clipper ballers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
La posted pics of her man, who is also a part of the Jordan Brand with Nike, cheesing it up with Mr. Jordan himself.
Bron and MJ chopped it up at the party. Teyana Taylor--who just released her own Harlem GLC sneaker through Adidas this weekend--kicked it with LeBron.
Even Miguel and Houston's own Bun B were there. And Scottie Pippen came out with his wife Larsa to support his long time teammate and best friend. And if you were wondering where Chris' wife Jada Paul and LeBron's fiancee' Savannah were....they are chillin' in Catalina this weekend for Jada's b-day. They tweeted a pic from their zip-lining today:
Hopefully they'll be in Houston by tomorrow for their fellas' big night. Peep the video of rivals on the court, yet good friends off the court, Kobe & LeBron chopping it up inside the party while Kells performed. Fab times! The Randomness: 1. In other baller news, a judge has sided with Stephon Marbury's mistress...and is making Stephon pay her the remaining $330K hush money that was promised to her. WOMP. STORY
