MC Hammer had a run-in with the law recently. And he's putting the police department on blast via Twitter for racialy profiling him and wrongfully citing him.
Deets inside.... Thursday, when Hammer was driving in Dublin, CA after putting in some community service helping out the inmates who are turning their lives around in San Quentin, he was arrested for Obstruction of a police officer. Here's what went down, according to the Oakland News, the 50-year-old rapper was booked at the Santa Rita jail after an officer approached him at a local shopping center. And a verbal altercation reportedly occurred. Last night, Hammer gave his side of the story and claims it was simply racially profiling and he did nothing wrong (read from the bottom up):

He said, "Disappointment? I was on my way to San Quentin Friday morning to congratulate a group of inmates in "The Last Mile". And he ended his statement saying, "Instead of being bitter, I'm taking the opportunity to make this a "teachable moment" and "eye opener" for my many friends & colleagues." Jermaine Dupri's So So Def 20th Anniversary concert brought everybody back to the good ol' 90's last night. Check out performances from Jay-Z, Jeezy, Kris Kross, and an appearance from Mariah inside.... Jay-Z stopped by the Fox Theater in Atlanta last night before hitting his own D'Usse Cognac afterparty at Compound nightclub. And he surprised the crowd at the Anniversary concert by throwing on his big chains for a performance with J.D. for "Money Aint A Thang." Check it below, plus Jeezy taking the stage to perform "R.I.P."
And remember all the hits Mariah Carey made with J.D.? Well she came out to thank him and presented him with a cake: Cute! And yes...Kris Kross did "Warm It Up" & "Jump" and got the crowd extra hype: Damn we miss the 90's! Usher, Ludacris, Nelly, Jagged Edge, Bryan Michael-Cox and Mariah all snapped pics during the concert:

On the eve of the Oscars, celebs hit up the big 2013 Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica Saturday afternoon. We've got the YBF celebs who made their way to the fab event inside....
She gorgeous and knows how to rock an Italian designer. Django Unchained star Kerry Washington donned a green and purple floral two-toned dress by Giambattista Valli. And paired it with matching shoes and a Bottega Veneta clutch. Adore this look.
Zoe Saldana kept with the green trend and rocked a striped Dolce & Gabbana dress paired with white Casadei pumps with green piping. And she hit the carpet with her sister Cisley:
It's def not the easiest look to pull off. We don't hate it, but not loving it.
Zoe posed it up with Best Actress nominee Quvenzhané Wallis.
She and her staple puppy purse looked cute as usual. And we're pulling for her at the Oscars!
Q brought her mom and sister along for some moral support.
Silver Linings Playbook star Chris Tucker hit the pink carpet in a white dinner jacket.
Paula Patton rocked a matronly look of an off-white knee length lace dress with conservative bow tie Louboutin pumps:
Thoroughly convinced she doesn't have a stylist. This isn't Sunday School boo.
"Parks & Recreations" star Rashida Jones is still getting buzz for her Celeste & Jesse Forever movie last year.
Movie 43 star Common hit the event's pink carpet looking yummy.
Hill Harper made an appearance as well.
And newcomers Emayatzy Corinealdi, who starred in the Miu Miu all-female short "The Door," and David Oyelowo looked fab at the event. David had a role in the Oscar nominated film Lincoln and also starred with Kerry Washington in The Last King of Scotland and will play in Nina with Zoe Saldana. And speaking of The Door," the short's director Ava Duvernay took home the John Cassavetes award for her film, Middle of Nowhere. Congrats! |

We all know Kanye West no longer speaks to the media anymore...because he feels like everything he says is twisted into something negative. So he often uses the stage as his platform. And he may have more people than usual on his side tonight after his rant at his London concert... After Mr. West performed "Clique" on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo in London tonight, he gave the audience a piece of his mind about the Grammys and people respecting his creativity. And he spoke in general about reminding folks why he does this...and people in this business losing site of the art. He said he hates business people and sponsors, the ones who ask him in meetings how they can "sell" what he's doing instead of understanding and respecting his music. He called out rappers who talk about smashing other dudes chick (Ha!). He said "The Grammys can s*ck my d*ck"...and alluded to the organization not respecting creativity. It's a girl from Kanye & Kim! According to reports, Kanye West is about to become a father to a baby girl....and that ought to be very interesting.
Deets inside... Mr. West may want to hit up Mr. Carter for some advice on being a father to a little girl. Because Us Weekly reports he and girlfriend Kim K. are indeed expecting a baby girl.
We're sure the couple already have some custom Louboutins, Versace and Prada baby girl clothes being whipped up in a factory somewhere. Kim already said on Jimmy Fallon last month:
And their baby girl won't be coming home to that extra lavish $10.75 mill Bel Air mansion Kanye & Kim bought together recently with plans to renovate it into a 14,000 sqft Italian villa. Because apparently, the two have already SOLD IT OFF! The NY Daily News reports that an undisclosed buyer paid $11.75 mill--a million dollars more than the purchase price--to grab the property from the parents-to-be. Why the quick turnover? Who knows. But we do know Kim as mentioned the couple buying homes in NY, Paris, and Miami as well so their child can be "well rounded."

Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted out at dinner at BOA Steakhouse in Beverly Hills last night. But it's who she snuck out the back of the restaurant and into an awaiting car with that has us thinking this was more than the fashionista just grabbing some grub.
Pics inside... Now that KiKi Simmons is officially a single girl, despite looking pretty close to her ex and baby's daddy Djimon Hounsou recently, she's free to date whomever she pleases. And it seems the mom of 3 has already started entertaining the company of male "friends". Last night, the "House of Fab" star was spotted creeping out the back door of BOA restaurant, and she hopped in the back of a car with a studious looking older guy (pictured above).
Kimora rocked a sexy side-zipped fitted black mini dress and heels to show off her modelicious legs. So we're thinking this wasn't just dinner with the girls. Was she on a date with a new mystery guy? Hmmm. Time will tell... Pics: Splash/Fame |

First Lady Michelle Obama has been on a whirlwind press tour for the 3rd anniversary of her Let's Move campaign. Check out her funny "Mom Dances" video she did with Jimmy Fallon last night, and her interviews with Robin Roberts & Dr. Oz...
Leave it to our fab First Lady to come up with something funny to add to her Let's Move campaign. Last year, she and ate night host Jimmy Fallon had their own version of the Olympics at the White House. And last night, they put together a video of "Mom Dances". Complete with Jimmy dressing in his own mom clothes and Mrs. O helping him with the dances every mom knows.
She got dressed in her usual fab gear during her interview though. Check out the dance below:

Earlier yesterday, Mrs. Obama rolled to "Good Morning America" to tape an interview with Robin Roberts:
The two ladies looked gorgeous as they caught up with each others' lives, Mrs. O's fitness campaign, and cooked in the kitchen with Marcus Samuelson. The segment will air on Tuesday.
And she even stopped by Dr. Oz's show to dance it up with kids from Terence C. Reilly #7 School in Elizabeth, New Jersey. That segment airs Thursday. Our First Lady will also be making stops in Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri.
