Will Smith was spotted in Philadelphia recently where he lent a show of support to Sister Souljah and her latest novel. Find out more inside... Philadelphia native Will Smith returned to his hometown recently and showed up at a book discussion for Sister Souljah's latest novel. We came to love her for her Coldest Winter Ever novel (which Jada Pinkett Smith was once in talks to portray lead character Winter in a movie version). And now she's getting lent some star power to pish her latest work. Posing for pictures with the author at Temple Performing Arts Centre, Will watched her discuss A Deeper Love Inside: The Porsche Santiaga Story. The book is a coming of age story about a girl who is a 'natural-born hustler. As a member of Public Enemy, Sister Souljah was nationally criticized for controversial comments she made about the LA riots in the 1990s, but has since gone on to become a well-respected author and public speaker with The Coldest Winter Ever ranking high among her most popular works. She thanked Will for his support saying, "WILL SMITH, much love to you for welcoming me to your city, taking good care of me, & standing by my side. I loved the conversation & people." The book is available at book stores and online now. And on the movie front, Will stars in After Earth with his son Jaden this summer but has announced that daughter Willow won't be starring in an Annie remake afterall. |

Over the weekend, T.I. and Tiny celebrated the 13th birthday of T.I.'s son Messiah with a huge party in Atlanta.
And it's only fitting that the King of The South would present Messiah with a cake fit for a prince.
The bash, held at Bottle Bar, was attended by Messiah's friends and their parents.
Messiah was all smiles as he posed with step-mom Tiny, who wore a sweatshirt from T.I.'s Grand Hustle clothing line.
His brother Domani wore a matching sweatshirt.
Major was there to wish his big brother a happy birthday.
It ws a big family affair as his siblings Domani and Deyjah Imani got some camera time on his red carpet. Deyjah's growing up so fast!
T.I.'s daughter Deyjah was also there with her mom Ranniqua. Twinsies.
T.I.'s mom Violeta Morgan came out to celebrate with her grandson.
And Clifford "King" Joseph Harris III saluted his big brother. Y'all know he and his little bro Major know how to steal the show.
Rapper Yung Joc arrived with his family.
And Messiah got tons of presents throughout the day.

Celebs descended upon New Orleans this weekend for the 2013 SuperBowl festivities. And last night's Hennessy after party in New Orleans was celeb, music and drink filled.

Hennessy spokesman Nas toasted to New Orleans and The Baltimore Ravens as he performed live at Republic night club last night in the N.O. He brought his celeb friends like J.Cole, Kevin Hart and more along to drink and party it up.

Beyonce took over the Superdome tonight and literally shut the lights off with an electrifying performance. Find out what other celebrities are tweeting about her show....
Shortly after Beyonce gave a sizzling halftime performance at Super Bowl XLVII, the lights went out at the Superdome. Coincidence? We don't think so. And neither did a ton of celebs who Tweeted that Bey shut it down! Only Keyshia Cole had something negative to say...but it was directed at Michelle Williams, not Bey. She claims that the performance had her in a trance until the D-child reunion started and Michelle started to sing....and messed it up. SMH. She's getting railed on Twitter by the way. Because Keyshia Cole criticizing ANYONE's live performance game is.... Here's what other celebs (including Bey's husband Jay-Z had to say about the show): I think I was frightened to blink for a sec. But all that has changed now that she's taking her technical last name and running with it. Mrs. BKC just announced "The Mrs. Carter World Tour". Dates inside...
We posted the leak from LiveNation UK last night -- a landing page for her World Tour tickets. And now, it's official. Beyonce posted on her website, right after her Superbowl Halftime show, deets on her upcoming tour called "The Mrs. Carter Show". After her appearance at the Grammys later this month, she's kicking things off April 15th in Europe for her fans in Serbia. Then rolling to Amsterdam, Dublin, 2 shows in Paris, 4 shows in London and more. Then Mrs. C is bringing it to the states and Canada on June 28th, with her first stop at the Staples Center in L.A. as part of the BET EXPERIENCE AT L.A. LIVE to kick off BET Awards weekend. Then she's bringing her high energy show to the major cities like Miami, Atlanta, her hometown of Houston, Nashville, D.C., and of course, the finale's in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on August 3rd. 37-year old Ray Lewis gets to retire (after a 17 year career) with a third Championship ring. Despite the negative talk still being done about his dark past, despite him completely turning his life around, and despite a major 30 minute game delay due to a power outage in the New orleans Superdome, the Ravens went on to take it all. It was one of the most anticipated halftime shows of all-time...and it's finally here. Watch superstar Beyonce Knowles take (over) the field for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show.
She told us she'd be singing all the way live, and that she did. Earlier tonight, Beyonce took center stage for Super Bowl XLVII's Pepsi-sponsored halftime show.
Jay-Z was seen hugging Beyonce backstage at the Super Bowl shortly after her amazing halftime show.
The show began with "Pepsi's first-ever crowd-sourced Super Bowl XLVII Halftime Show introduction starring hundreds of real fans from around the country used more than 500 frames," said Angelique Krembs, VP of marketing at PepsiCo. And a few celebrity faces (including Victor Cruz, Drew Brees, Lamarr Woodley, Demarco Murray, Hunter Hayes and Luke James) were also in the intro clip. After the 30-sec video, tons of fans ran onto the field as the band played "Run The World (Girls)." Her costume was designed by the NY-based designer Rubin Singer. According to THR, the stage costumes are based on Rubin' upcoming fall 2013 collection entitled “Valkyrie’s Dominion” about female figure in Norse mythology who decides which soldiers live and die in battle.
The black leather body suit was made of strips of engineered python, paneled iguana and trapunto/pick stitched leather . There were also insets of delicate black Chantilly lace. Rubin said, "This piece is truly couture in every way. My seamstresses were assembling all of the leather and exotic skins individually by hand. All of the pieces were separate details that were all constructed on her body. We had to make the body suit have a tremendous range of motion and flexibility. Beyonce is such a fierce and intense performer we could not have the outfit constrict her in any way.”
And she danced in Proenza Schouler booties.
After the "Run The World (Girls)" intro, Baddie Bey appeared on stage and ripped through a medley of songs beginning with "Crazy In Love", "End Of Time" and "Baby Boy".
Once the lights dimmed, she was joined on stage by Destiny's Child. Kelly and Michelle literally popped up from beneath the stage to chime in on a medley that included "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women". Though Michelle had a wobbly entrance and almost fell (again), the crowd went wild for the reunion.
Then Kelly and Michelle each sang and performed verses from Bey's hit single "Single Ladies" and did some of the clip's famous choreography. As Destiny's Child exited the stage, Bey was joined by a group of dancers to finish off "Single Ladies."
She closed out her show with a soul-stirring rendition of "Halo."

Although we wanted a longer show from Bey, this amazing performance will have to satisfy fans until she appears at the Grammys on February 10 and launches her "The Mrs. Carter Show" World Tour. So after such a memorable performance, what is Beyonce going to do next? She spoke during a press conference earlier this week about her post-halftime plans saying,

Tonight at the New Orleans Superdome, Jennifer Hudson performed "America The Beautiful" and Alicia Keys sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" to kick off Super Bowl XLVII. Salute the nation inside....
Earlier this evening, millions of viewers around the world watched as Jennifer Hudson sang "America The Beautiful" with a chorus of school children from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT.

And following Jennifer's performance, Alicia Keys gave a very controlled performed of "The Star-Spangled Banner" prior to the start of Super Bowl XLVII between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
And just to make it a little interesting, after she sang "...and the home of the brave" she threw in a jazz-tingled rift.

Pics & video of Alicia Keys, Beyonce & Jennifer Hudson getting in their last minute rehearsals inside... In a gorgeous red curve hugging mermaid dress, Alica Keys just posted herself backstage at the New Orleans Superdome before she takes the mic for the National Anthem. But earlier in the day, she kept it casual in camo while rehearsing:
J-Hud stopped by the Dome to get in her soundcheck as well.
And her fiance David Otunga was right there to cheer her on before she sings with the children of Sandy Hook elementary.

Flo Rida and Jamie Foxx were among the famous faces seen in New Orleans for Super Bowl weekend. See pics of other celebs like Solange, Jennifer Hudson and Lil' Jon on the Bayou city party scene inside...
After playing flag football earlier in the day, Lil Wayne hit the stage for the Lacoste/GQ Super Bowl Party at The Elms Mansion in New Orleans last night.
Weezy, who nearly came to blows with a spectator during the football game, channeled all of that energy into a great performance.
But before Weezy entertained the crowd, Rebecca and Terry Crews did a few interviews and a little shopping for charity at the GQ event.
Actor Jesse Williams, who also played in the football game, posed for pics and checked out a few items at the Elms Mansion as well.
And Beyonce's February 2013 cover dominated the GQ/Lacoste lounge.
TV personality Sway was seen at the Audi Forum party at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
"Losing You" singer Solange appeared at the Audi event too.
Later, she jumped on her MacBook Pro and got the crowd moving.
Lil' Jon also took a turn on the mic for the Audi audience.
Meanwhile, Janelle Monae performed onstage at the Bud Light Hotel.
In addition to a stellar solo set, Janelle performed with one of her idols.
Stevie Wonder was a part of the concert which also included Gary Clark Jr. at the Bud Light Hotel.
He also performed with his daughter Aisha Morris.
And Jennifer Hudson was spotted at the Samsung Galaxy “Shangri-La” Party.
She serenaded her Dreamgirls co-star Jamie Foxx.
Jamie also put his vocals to good use on the mic.
DJ Swizz Beatz attended the 1 OAK party presented By LOGIC Electronic Cigarettes.
The event was held at Jax Brewery.
Swizz Beatz keep the crowd's feet moving on the turntables.
Anthony Mackie, who just landed a role in The Avengers 2, attended The Giving Back Fund's 4th Annual Big Game Big Give Super Bowl Celebration.
NY Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz posed with singer Jordin Sparks on the red carpet.
Jordin wore a Bailey dress and YSL shoes.
After walking the carpet, Jordin performed for the crowd gathered at the event.
Fun fact, Jordin's dad used to play for the NY Giants. BONUS:
Pics have emerged from the shouting match that Lil' Wayne was involved in after the DirecTV Beach bowl yesterday.
Lil' wayne was a party of the White Team, who lost the match, but seemed to have an issue with a cameraman...not one of his opponents.
Deadspin reports that Weezy rushed at the guy but was held back by Desmond Howard.
The issue was obviously resolved because Wayne made it to the GQ concert later that night.

Jay-Z hit the stage with Justin Timberlake in New Orleans last night for DIRECTV's Super Saturday Night bash. Watch the performance inside and see folks like Lil' Wayne, Snoop Dogg and Deion Sanders at the DIRECTV'S Seventh Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl.
Last night, Justin Timberlake performed his first full-concert in four years at DIRECTV's Super Saturday Night Co-Hosted By Mark Cuban's AXS TV for the 2013 Super Bowl Weekend in New Orleans. The highlight of the evening was when music mogul Jay-Z joined Justin on stage for a performance of their new hit single "Suit & Tie." Jay-Z, who was spotted smoking cigars with Steve Stoute yesterday, is in town to watch Beyonce rock the stage later today at the Super Bowl's halftime show.

And on the blue carpet for the event .....
Actors Omar Benson Miller and Hill Harper were seen heading into the venue.
"Access Hollywod" anchor Shaun Robinson showed off her legs.

Questlove of The Roots checked out the concert.
New York Jets player Braylon Edwards was in town for the big game.
Retired NFL player Emmit Smith arrived with wife Patricia Southall. And backstage....
Jay posed with John Legend and his fiancee Chrissy Teigen and Timberland after he finished rocking the mic with Justin.

Snoop Dogg and Lil' Wayne were among the celebs who played in the sand at the 2013 Celebrity Beach Bowl.
Jesse Williams also joined in the flag football game at the DTV SuperFan Stadium at Mardi Gras World.
"Guys With Kids" star Anthony Anderson posed with "ET" correspondent Rocsi on the blue carpet.
Fun fact, Rocsi was raised in New Orleans and supports a few charities there.
Track and Field star Lolo Jones played in the game.
And SI model Chrissy Teigen stretched her muscles and joined in the game too.
"The Insider" host Kevin Frazier showed off a few of the skills he picked up at Fox Sports Net and ESPN.
And Michael Strahan may have gotten snubbed by the NFL Hall of Fame, but he got a big hug from Deion Sanders (who is already in the hall of fame). Deion also posed with Weezy.
