Santa Claus Lives In Chelsea, NYC Posted: 24 Dec 2010 12:25 PM PST Here is a great story published by The New York Times that is sure to warm even the coldest of hearts this holiday season. A couple living on West 22nd St. in the Chelsea neighborhood of NYC inexplicably began receiving letters written by children to Santa Claus. The hundreds of letters that have poured in in the past weeks inspired the couple to do everything they could to see that the letter requests were answered … on behalf of Santa Claus himself.
How amazing are these guys. What would YOU do if suddenly letters to Santa Claus began pouring into YOUR mailbox? I only wish I had heard about the initiative to get as many of the letters answered because I would’ve happily done my best to help. See folks, THIS is the reason for the season … goodwill toward your fellow man … and above all, love. This is just the coolest, sweetest thing I’ve heard in a very long time :) [Source] |
Injured ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’ Actor Will Spend Xmas Hospitalized Posted: 24 Dec 2010 12:11 PM PST On Monday Broadway actor Christoper Tierney fell 30 feet and was injured in a failed stunt during a performance of the cursed musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. As you may recall, Tierney‘s fall caused quite a bit of drama for the embattled Broadway musical … but, at last, the show will begin performances TONIGHT. Unfortch for Tierney, he won’t be in tonight’s show … in fact, he won’t even been allowed to go home for Xmas … because he’ll be spending the next few days hospitalized in the intensive care unit.
Poor guy. It’s bad enough that he was pretty severely injured in the fall … but now he has to spend Xmas in the hospital? Sucks!! Welp, I guess this goes to show … no matter how bad some people may have it this Xmas, at least not many are cursed with being actors in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Get well soon, Chris!! A Bloody Good Time At The Grove Posted: 24 Dec 2010 11:54 AM PST David and I made the brave decision to make our way to The Grove last night so that we could walk around the outdoor shopping center to take in the Xmas decorations, pick up a few last minute things and pretty much just hang out. Fortunately for us, the massive crowds weren’t an issue nor was the, thankfully, dry weather. No, when I was bleeding all over the floor at World Market not 10 minutes into our arrival, I knew it was going to be a special night.
The rest of the night was fairly nice, yet uneventful. We managed to get “snowed” on by the fake snow that The Grove pumps into the air … snow that is made out of soap, so if you inhale it, get it in your eyes or swallow it … it makes you want to die. Xmas in LA, folks. Tonight, David and I will be sharing our first Xmas Eve dinner together so we are looking forward to that. I have a few Xmas specials I want us to watch … deffo A Charlie Brown Christmas, most likely Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and hopefully White Christmas (which will be a hard sell for David but … well, Xmas miracles do happen). I hope all y’all have a fabulous Xmas Eve tonight. May Santa Claus make your Xmas wishes come true … and Happy Holidays!! |

Vice President Joe Biden Says Gay Marriage Will ‘Inevitably’ Come To The US Posted: 24 Dec 2010 11:01 AM PST In the wake of last weekend’s US Senate vote to repeal the US Military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy and President Barack Obama‘s signing of the repeal into law this week, Vice President Joe Biden appeared on Good Morning America today to discuss a range of topics including the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell repeal … but most notably, about his belief that America is “evolving” towards the legalization of same-sex marriage … which he believes will “inevitably” be afforded to all US citizens.
Good ol’ Joe Biden, I love him. I totally agree that the country has been moving toward the legalization of same-sex marriage for all US citizens and that day can’t come soon enough for me. It’s clear that more and more people believe that it is wrong to deny a segment of the citizenry the same basic rights that others enjoy. Now that we settled the matter that the US Military can no longer discriminate against gays and lesbians who want to serve in the US Armed Forces, we can turn our attention to other very important matters … namely the right for all US citizens to marry :) Here is video of Biden‘s interview appearance on Good Morning America this morning: I’m sure that Xmas will be a bit brighter this year now that DADT has been repealed … and that our nation’s leaders seem ready to steer our country toward TRUE liberty and justice for all :D [Source, Source] |
Fairuza Balk Lives, Does Some Xmas Shopping Posted: 24 Dec 2010 10:41 AM PST Here’s someone we don’t get to see or hear from very often … if at all … Fairuza Balk, who famously starred in the 1996 film The Craft as well as films like Return to Oz, American History X The Waterboy and more, surfaced in Beverly Hills, CA this week to do a bit of Xmas shopping at Barney’s New York.

Sandra Bullock & Louis Bardo Visit With Santa Claus Posted: 24 Dec 2010 09:56 AM PST Earlier this month we got to see a few cute photos of Sandra Bullock and her baby son Louis Bardo getting into the Xmas spirit at the Shadow Hills Riding Club in Santa Monica, CA. Today we get to see an adorable photo of Sandra and Louis posing for a photo with the man of hour … Santa Claus.
Something tells me that Sandra didn’t need to ask for any more gifts from Santa because she already got the best present ever when she became Louis‘s mother earlier this year ;) I suspect that Sandra has a lot of fun things in store for her baby boy for their first Xmas together … I’m certain they will be having a very Merry Xmas this year. Alleged Lindsay Lohan Assault Victim Decides To Drop Charges Posted: 24 Dec 2010 08:34 AM PST Earlier this week Dawn Holland, a staffer at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA, accused Lindsay Lohan (currently rehabbing at the center) of physically assaulting her after L. Lo tried to sneak back into Betty Ford after curfew. The following day, Holland showed off the injuries she claims were sustained when L. Lo allegedly assaulted her. Today we learn that Dawn Holland no long claims that Lindsay assaulted her at all and she is now refusing to have anything to do with the investigation into the matter.
So … lemme get this straight … Dawn Holland one day is claiming that Lindsay assaulted her to a point of injury so severe that she had to leave her job and go on workman’s compensation and a few days later she is not only dropping assault charges against L. Lo but she is also refusing to take part in any investigation that might paint Lohan in a negative light? HMMMMM … smells like a pay-off to me. Of course, it’s impossible to know for sure if a deal was struck between Lohan‘s people and Holland but … yeah, that’s deffo what is smells like to me. In case you have forgotten in the past few days what exactly this assault claim was all about, the folks at Next Media put together a fun animated video that kinda sorta explains the controversy in a very entertaining way:
And so … it would appear that Lindsay Lohan gets off the hook again. Is this an Xmas miracle? Nah. Just another day in the life of Lindsay Lohan. [Source, Source] |
Britney Spears & Jason Trawick Make Their Way To NY For Xmas Posted: 24 Dec 2010 07:59 AM PST Our dear Britney Spears and her beau Jason Trawick packed up their bags and made their way to the East Coast yesterday, presumably to spend the holiday weekend in NYC together. Britney, with her cute pink hoodie and not-too–cute black UGGs boots, and Jason — with Xmas gifts in hand — were spotted making their way thru JFK Airport late yesterday evening upon arrival.

Ryan Reynolds Files For Divorce From Scarlett Johansson Posted: 24 Dec 2010 07:36 AM PST Just 9 days after it was announced that married couple Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson decided to end their marriage, Ryan officially filed for divorce from his wife of 2 years here in LA court. By all accounts, the filing seems friendly because Scarlett filed her legal response to Ryan‘s paperwork at the same time. At this point, the divorce looks like it will be a smooth, friendly one.
TMZ reports that the paperwork, which can be read HERE, seems to make it clear that the couple are on the same page about the divorce and that they plan to move forward as swiftly and amicably as possible:
And there you have it … it appears the couple’s divorce will be as quick and as quiet as their marriage was. While some couples are giving one another loving gifts for Xmas this year, ScRyan are exchanging legal paperwork for the dissolution of their marriage. As sad as all of this is, I can’t help but continue to think that this is all for the best. Merry Xmas, ScRyan … here’s hoping your Xmases to come will be merrier and brighter than this one is turning out to be :( |
