Alyson Hannigan & Satyana Really Enjoy Playing Together

Here are a few new and painfully adorable photos of mommy/daughter duo Alyson Hannigan and Satyana enjoying a fun little walk/playdate together here in SoCal. As you may recall, Alyson had Santa Claus bring Saty a little tricycle for Xmas and at the end of December, we saw photos of Satyana taking her new ride for a spin. Today we get to see new photos of Satyana on her trike as well as in the arms of her loving mother.

Everyday is play-day for Alyson Hannigan and her two year old daughter Satyana. The American Pie star and her playful child were spotted once again enjoying the Californian sunshine with lots of smiles and laughs on one of their daily outings round their Brentwood neighbourhood yesterday. At one point the happy looking mother tipped her daughter upside down and swung her from side to side, much to Satyaya’s delight. The 23-month old had an enormous grin on her face and squealed as her mother laughed during the tender moment. Dressed casually in jeans and a striped long sleeved T-shirt, Alyson, 36, then followed the adventurous toddler down the side walk as she propelled herself on a little wooden tricycle. When she isn’t working on her hit network show How I Met Your Mother, Alyson seems to spend every spare second she can outdoors playing with her daughter, who turns two in March.

What a precious, precious sight. I will never tire of seeing Alyson and Satyana playing together. They always look so happy … they are very lucky to have one another. It’s nice to see that Saty‘s little tricycle is getting much use … it looks like Aly chose well when she went Xmas shopping for her daughter. OY! These two are so cute … I can hardly stand it. Just, adorbs.

Watch: Volkswagen Teams Up With The Littlest Darth Vader For A New Commercial

This coming Sunday we are going to be bombarded with a plethora of commercials during the telecast of Super Bowl XLV but right now I want you to check out a Volkswagen commercial that will air this weekend because I don’t want you miss it on Super Bowl Sunday. In this commercial, Volkswagen uses a little Darth Vader (and his mastery of The Force) to try and sell a few cars.


OMG … this is the cutest thing ever! I know it’s not even Super Bowl Sunday yet but I’m already willing to declare that this is my fave commercial of the bunch. I’m a big VW fan, having owned a couple of their cars myself, but their decision to team up with Star Wars for this new ad is just … brilliant! I love it, do you?

Willow Smith Does ‘Teen Vogue’ Magazine

Last month little popstar Willow Smith was featured in the pages of Vanity Fair magazine. This month, she is featured in the pages of Teen Vogue. In a new interview with the mag, Willow talks about her plans for a professional career in music … she explains why she does NOT have a crush on Justin Bieber … and reveals that she takes some of her fashion cues from Billy Idol.

Asked if she can relate to most ten-year-olds, Willow Smith doesn’t miss a beat. “Of course—I am one!” she says, stopping just short of letting out a giant “duh.” But it’s not exactly the stupidest query in the world, since, at least on the outside, Willow has the kind of life most fifth graders don’t: movie-star parents (Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith), a famous big brother who’s BFFs with Justin Bieber (The Karate Kid star Jaden), a film career of her own (Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and I Am Legend), and, of course, one megahit song. Unless you don’t have a radio, TV, or Internet connection, you’ve probably heard the übercatchy “Whip My Hair,” which, since its release this fall, has scored more than 34 million hits on YouTube and a number eleven slot on the Billboard Hot 100—a milestone no other ten-year-old has reached. Willow, who joins Justin on his European tour this month, admits that even she’s still getting used to it all. “When I first put ['Whip My Hair'] out, everyone was like, ‘Willow, Willow, I love your song!’ And I was like, ‘Really?’” recalls the singer … While pop stars double her age (and size) have opted for no pants and lots of cleavage, she’s cultivated a unique look that consists of outrageous updos (she rocks a particularly memorable heart-shaped bouffant in the “Whip My Hair” video) and baggy neon streetwear. “I wear anything I feel like,” says the singer, who masterminds her outfits with a team of fashion stylists and hairdressers that she refers to as “my crew.” “If I want to put on a pair of Converse with a pencil stuck through them, I will.” She’s also developed an interest in fancier attire, attending the Dolce & Gabbana spring show with her mom. “Their designs are really cool,” she says. She counts Billy Idol among her style icons, but if her getups bear any resemblance to her dad’s wacky clothes from his Fresh Prince days, it’s purely a coincidence: “I’ve never even heard that before,” she says … “It’s pretty much a regular family,” Willow says. “At dinner we talk about ‘What did you do today? What did you wear today?’ Not anything about work.” And even though she notes that her favorite song of her dad’s is “Parents Just Don’t Understand” (“because sometimes they don’t”), Willow says her relationship with her parents, for the most part, is smooth sailing. “They aren’t strict. They won’t be like, ‘Willow, clean up your room!’ They’ll be like, ‘Willow, will you please clean up your room?’ And I’ll be like, ‘OK,’ and do it.” She also maintains she has a solid friendship with her future tour mate. “Justin’s like my big brother. I don’t have a crush on him,” she says … In the end, she says, these past few months have been worth it. Although she’s aware fame has its drawbacks (“I have no privacy . . . even when I’m skating”), she doesn’t seem deterred. “You can pick how famous you want to be,” she says. “If you don’t work hard, then you aren’t going to have the success that you want. But if you work hard and dig in, then you are going to have the success that you want.”
Does that mean Willow wants to be the next Lady Gaga? “Oh yes.”

LOL! I just love this little kid. She is smart, no question, and I honestly believe she has the potential to be a big pop star … if she wants it. One thing’s for sure, hard work or not, Willow has the world at her feet no matter what she wants to do. ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ Releases Its First Movie Poster

Promo materials for the upcoming Marvel Comics big screen adaptation Captain America: The First Avenger are coming out fast and furious these days. Just yesterday we got our first look at the new darker incarnation of James Bucky Barnes, Captain America‘s famous sidekick and on Sunday we will get to see the first movie trailer for the film during the Super Bowl telecast. Today we get our first look at the first movie poster for The First Avenger.

While you wait to catch a glimpse of the first live-action footage from “Captain America: The First Avenger” during this Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV, we’ve got a treat for you…the film’s first one-sheet! Chris Evans stands sturdy and solemn as the Sentinel of Liberty, and while you’ll have to wait until July 22 for the movie to hit theaters, stay tuned to Marvel.com until then as we bring you the latest on “Captain America: The First Avenger”! In addition to “Captain America: The First Avenger,” Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including “Thor” on May 6, 2011; “Marvel Studios’ The Avengers” on May 4, 2012; and “Iron Man 3″ on May 3, 2013.

Yeah, I like it. It’s nice image of Captain America. While I’m still worried that the bulky costume will look a bit corny, I have high hopes that the film will turn out well in the end. Keep your peepers peeled on Sunday, y’all. You don’t want to miss seeing the first movie trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger.

Howard Stern Is No Longer A Fan Of The Word ‘Fag’

Howard Stern, the self-proclaimed King of all Media, has gone on the record publicly about his growing distaste over the use of the word fag. In response to a listener question, Stern expressed that altho he understands that some comedians (including himself) use the word to be funny, he can empathize with the way gays are abused with that word. His comments are very enlightening and are deffo worth listening to.


While I personally, as a gay man, never ever think it’s right or “funny” to toss around the word fag, I can greatly appreciate Stern‘s growing understanding of that horrid word. In a perfect world, words like fag and other like slurs would never be used at all but we do not live in a perfect world. At least Howard Stern can now begin to see what damage that word can have on others … and hopefully he will enlighten some of his numerous listeners as well. I appreciate and applaud Howard Stern for speaking up about this matter. I’m hopeful that someday soon, he won’t even slip up and use the word anymore … it will just completely disappear from his vocabulary.

Today we get to check out the newest batch of Leto/Richardson photos that show that Jared has dyed his hair dark again … and is crazy in love with his stylish new Snuggie.


OK … technically, this thing that Jared is wearing is a poncho … but it sure does look like an overly-stylish Snuggie blanket, don’t it? It is CRIMINAL how well the man can wear … anything! These photos are fun BUT, I hope the next time Jared poses for Terry‘s camera, he’s wearing a lot less Snuggie … and other clothing items ;)

Meet The New Cast Of ‘The Real World: Las Vegas’

In the grand tradition of rehashing things, MTV has unveiled the new cast of The Real World: Las Vegas. Longtime fans of the show may remember that The Real World filmed in Sin City before. The original cast shacked up in a hotel suite at the Palms Hotel and Casino. This time around, the 7 strangers will be living in a hotel suite at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Undoubtedly, tho, the same raucous drama is bound to take place.

What do you get when you mix the temptations of Las Vegas, plenty of alcohol and seven strangers? The new season of The Real World! Meet Nany, Adam, Michael, Naomi, Dustin, Leroy and Heather. These seven strangers have been picked to live in a suite in Sin City’s Hard Rock Hotel and Casino for season 25 of MTV’s trailblazing reality show, the network confirms to PEOPLE. “Everything in Vegas is on a grander scale, and that comes through loud and clear this season,” MTV says in a statement. “Romance among the cast members is at an all time high, and as secrets each cast member has brought with them are revealed, those relationships will be challenged and tested.” An exclusive first look at the new season of The Real World: Las Vegas, which will premiere in March, shows all the fun – and drama! – you’d expect from the city: pool parties, nightclubs, gambling, sex, fights, and destroyed hotel rooms.

What is MOST interesting, I think, is that castmember Dustin Zito is a straight gay-for-pay porn star. Queerty reported last November that Dustin made the cast of the show — and I can reveal that his fellow castmates find out about his job on the Queerty website. You’ll have to tune in to see how it all comes to light but I understand that Queerty will be featured on the show. But … that is drama for another day. OY! After decades of Real World drama, I’m kinda numb to all of it … but this gay-for-pay biz has got me intrigued. I think I’ll be tuning in to see what sort of drama this new cast will get into. Bang Your Head

Last night the second episode of the 5th season of Skins aired on E4 in the UK and I was fortunate enough to be able to watch the show online just hours after it aired on TV. As you may recall, last week the 5th season of Skins debuted with a very powerful episode … and this week’s ep was just as fantastic. Episode 2 revolved around the Heavy Metal headbanger Rich … and his growing feelings for ballerina Grace.


Truth be told, it was a little expected that the Metal fan would start to have feelings for the good girl ballerina … but the writing and acting in this instance really makes the cliche work very well. Whenever a new cast of Skins is introduced, I can never imagine how the new characters can take the place in my heart of the previous characters. This time around, my love of the new cast was immediate. This ep in particular was fantastic … I was once an all black, leather jacket wearing youth with long hair … and I loved the shout-out to vinyl in the episode (as well as the shout-out to Trent Reznor). I cannot express enough, you MUST watch the original UK version of Skins and stay the HELL away from the US version. I cannot tell you where to find the eps of UK Skins online but if you look around, I’m sure you’ll find them.

I spent the rest of my evening spinning a few records. The theme of the night was albums with cool vinyl colors. I started out with True Colours by Split Enz (with laser engraved vinyl), then moved on to Mechanical Animals by Marilyn Manson (a double LP with with and translucent blue vinyl) and finished up with Confessions on a Dance Floor by Madonna (with bright pink vinyl):


OMG … can you SEE how fun vinyl records can be? UGH … so much fun. I had a great, semi-quiet night a home last night. This afternoon, I have a date with the VW dealership because I have to get a new battery for my car :( I am not looking forward to spending my afternoon/evening in a waiting room but … it’s gotta get done. I hope your Friday is going well. Are you ready for the weekend?

19-Year Old Iowan Zach Wahls Defends His Mothers’ Right To Marry

This week the Iowa State Legislature is determining whether or not they will amend their State Constitution to outlaw the practice of same-sex marriage in their State after the Iowa Supreme Court ruled that same-sex marriage is legal there. A 19-year old engineering student at the University of Iowa named Zach Wahls stood before the legislature to defend his parents’ right to remain married. It is an impassioned, eloquent, intelligent and extremely moving video that YOU must watch.

University of Iowa engineering student Zach Wahls stood up to the Iowa House of Representatives the day before it ruled to allow voters to decide if marriage rights for gays and lesbian couples across the state should be repealed. “Actually, I was raised by a gay couple and I’m doing pretty well,” Wahls says in his speech. Wahls argued that overturning the Iowa supreme court’s decision to legalize marriage equality in 2009 would be the first time in state history that discrimination would be codified in the constitution. He also said that while the legalities of marriage may harm his parent’s rights, it won’t break their family apart. “My family isn’t so different from yours,” he said. “After all, your family doesn’t derive its sense of worth from being told by the state,’You’re married, congratulations.’ No. The sense of family comes from the commitment we make to each other — to work through the hard times so we can enjoy the good ones. It comes from the love that binds us. That’s what makes a family. So what you’re voting on is not going to change us.”

I’ve watched this video a few times and I damn near cry every single time. Zack Wahls is a son that any parent would be proud of, he is truly a remarkable man. Zack, his parents Terry Wahls & Jackie Reiger and his sister Zebby, made an appearance on The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell last night to talk about his appearance before the Iowa State Legislature this week. It remains to be seen if the Iowa Legislature will amend their constitution and outlaw same-sex marriage but it is my sincere hope that advocates like Zack Wahls are listened to and that marriage equality will remain in Iowa … and then extend to the rest of the country. Zack Wahls is a hero and every one should know it.

Jake Gyllenhaal Hangs Out With His Family In NYC

Last weekend we saw photos of Jake Gyllenhaal clean-shaven and soaking up the sun here in SoCal. Today we get to see photos of Jake growing out his beard again as he freezes his buns off in NYC. Jakey poo made his way back East to meet up with his family — mother Naomi Foner, sister Maggie Gyllenhaal and bro-in-law Peter Sarsgaard — to attend the off-Broadway opening of Three Sisters which stars his big sis and her husband. It was a good ol’ fashioned Gyllenhaal family reunion.

Three Sisters is the 1901 play featuring three provincial sisters longing to be back in their beloved Moscow. The cast features Gyllenhaal (as Masha), Hecht (as Olga), Rylance (as Irina), as well as Anson Mount as Solyóny, Gabe Bettio as Róhde, Josh Hamilton as Andréy Prózorov, Marin Ireland as Natásha, Paul Lazar as Kulýgin, Roberta Maxwell as Anfísa, George Morfogen as Ferapónt, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Baron Túzenbach, James Patrick Nelson as Fedótik, Peter Sarsgaard as Vershínin and Louis Zorich as Chebutýkin.

Yeeeeeeah … this play sounds like a HOOT! But, altho it’s not my particular cup of tea, I can totally understand why Jake would want to make the trek back East to support his family. I guess I can also appreciate why Jake would want to grow back his face fur … it’s cold as balls in NYC these days. It’s nice to see the family all together … even if they look a bit grouchy.

‘Conan The Barbarian’ Releases 2 New Promo Photos

It’s been quite a few months since we’ve heard any news from the upcoming new film Conan the Barbarian but today we get to check out two new promo photos that have been released for the film. As you may recall, we saw the first promo photo of Jason Momoa as Conan last June and in July we saw a couple photos of Momoa‘s Conan in action. Today, we feast our eyes on new photos of hunky hero in all his hot glory.


You know, at first I was totally bummed that Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz was passed over for the role of Conan but the more I see Momoa in these promo photos, the more convinced I become that the producers were right to cast him. He deffo has the look down … now all that remains is to see if he has the acting chops to play the role. To be honest, if Arnold Schwarzenegger was able to play the role, pretty much anyone can play the role. These new photos have got me even more excited for this film’s release.

Charlie Sheen Shows Off A Mouth Of Gold-Capped Teeth

Yesterday Charlie Sheen broke his silence for the first time since he was hospitalized last week with stomach pains after he enjoyed a 36-hour drug-fueled porno party at his home here in LA. Today we get to see a new photo that has emerged from that raucous fête with his porn star guests. Sheen seemed very proud to show off a mouth full of gold-capped teeth as he partied last week … which makes you wonder, what happened to his teeth that they had to be capped.

Charlie Sheen was dancing his ass off with THREE scantily clad women at the inception of his 36-hour cocaine fueled party binge last week — and TMZ has the footage of Charlie LETTING LOOSE!! The dancing went down after a boozy dinner at the home of Charlie’s friend George Santo Pietro — where the actor was accompanied by several porn stars and even a few non-professionals. Just as shocking as Charlie’s spastic MJ-esque impersonation — a photo of a smiling Charlie showing off a mouthful of solid gold dental work. Captain Jack Sparrow would be proud! Of course, Charlie’s party marathon ended with a trip to the hospital … followed by rehab.

It is widely believed that rampant drug use causes people’s teeth to rot out of their mouths so the speculation is that Charlie‘s new gold mouth grill is the result of his dangerous addictions. I don’t understand how an actor, who must keep his teeth pearl white at all times, can get away with a mouth of gold teeth. Britney Spears Releases A Teaser Of Her ‘Hold It Against Me’ Music Video

Yesterday we learned from Britney Spears manager Adam Leber that our dear Britney would be releasing a short teaser clip from her upcoming new music video for Hold It Against Me. Today, we get to see that TEASER CLIP below!!


As you can see, this clip is similar to the first photo that we got to see from the music video a few weeks ago. The vid looks awesome but this clip is WAY too short! What is most important about this tease is that we now know the video will be released in just 13 days!


That means we will get to see Hold It Against Me on February 16! Woot!! So … what do y’all think of this first tease?

Andrew Garfield In Costume, In Action As Spider-Man

For the past few weeks we’ve been seeing a LOT of photos from the LA set of the upcoming new Spider-Man reboot film (HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE). In all of those photos, it was presumed that a stuntman was used for all of those action scenes. Today we get to see photos of actor Andrew Garfield both IN and out of the Spider-Man costume filming new scenes … and BOY does he look good ;)

He’s been hard at work filming the new Spiderman movie – but when it comes to some of the trickier action sequences, Andrew Garfield might find that he needs a little help. However as he 27-year-old shot some of the blockbuster’s action sequences, it was hard to tell whether or not he was doing his own stunts or had employed the services of a double. While the Spidey suit concealed his true identity on set, a quick glance at his eyes and eyebrows suggested that it was indeed the actor in the costume. But as the person doing the stunts was wearing black lenses during filming – completing the costume which usually features black eyeholes, while also protecting themselves from possible injury while performing stunts – it wasn’t quite so clear who was performing when the cameras rolled. However Andrew did seem to take part in some of the action, going through moves at one point with what looked like a crew member. And the person attempting the most complex stunt – in which the person in the costume lifted themselves on their hands and hurled their legs into the air – had their back to the camera, so it remains unclear whether Andrew tried that one himself.

Now, I know that Spider-Man has quite a few impressive super powers … but I never really realized that some of those powers emenate from his crotch … or from his booty. Whether it’s actually Andrew Garfield in this costume or a stuntman, there is no question … Spider-Man fills out his costume very well ;) Here are photos that are unmistakenly of Garfield on set this week:


I don’t know about you but these new photos from the Spider-Man set have deffo got MY spidey senses tingling … and how. Aren’t these photos great?

Kristen Stewart Is Up For The Role Of Snow White

Kristen Stewart may be still bizzy filming the final two movies of The Twilight Saga film franchise but that doesn’t mean she can’t look ahead to her first post-Twilight acting gig. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Stewart has been offered the lead role of Snow White in the planned upcoming live action film Snow White and the Huntsman. If she decides to take the part, the magazine reports, the iconic role of Snow White is hers.

Who's the fairest of them all? We think we know! Sources tell EW that Kristen Stewart has been offered the part of Snow White in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, to be directed by Rupert Sanders. As EW has previously reported, this project has been heating up, with both Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron in "final talks" to play the Huntsman and evil queen, respectively. Stewart has long been at the top of the list (other names mentioned include Swedish actress Alicia Vikander, Felicity Jones, Bella Heathcote, and Elvis granddaughter Riley Keough), and if the deal is finalized, it will be her first post-Twilight project.

On the one hand, I love the idea of a live-action Snow White film. It sounds like they are going for a vibe very much like the film Red Riding Hood (which stars Amanda Seyfried and is due out later this year). I’m not sure that K. Stew would be my first pick for the role. BUT she is a very in-demand actress (just yesterday we saw the first photos of Stewart in the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac‘s classic novel On the Road) and casting her in the film will guarantee an audience will come out to see the film from the very start. I will say that she deffo has the Snow White look so … maybe this will be a good thing? In any event, it sounds like the ball is in Kristen‘s court … if she wants the role, she gets the role. BUT, what do y’all think … should she get the role?

James Marsters & Patricia Rahman Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for one of our MOST beloved Buffyverse actors today … People magazine is reporting that James Marsters (who expertly played the vampire Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) got married last month to his longtime girlfriend Patricia Rahman. According to the magazine, James and Patricia were married in small civil ceremony here in SoCal on January 14. They got hitched, y’all!!

James Marsters has appeared on many TV shows that involve special powers, but now the actor has discovered a real-life power of his own – love. The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor, 48, tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Patricia Rahman Marsters, 25, in a private L.A. civil ceremony on Jan. 14, the actor’s rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. Of their first meeting, Marsters, who also starred in Angel, told PEOPLE in 2006, “I met her backstage and got her phone number, but then my jeans were cleaned out by the crew and they threw it out.” He continued, “I’d given her my number, but she took down one digit wrong. It took her six months to call all of the different combinations.” Patricia, a student of fashion design from Trier, Germany, and James announced their engagement last year.

Yay!! This is great news!! James is beloved for his work on Buffy, yes, but he has also appeared on shows like Torchwood, Smallville, Caprica and Hawaii Five-O (the new version) and I have loved him in those roles as well. You may also recall that my friend Angie and I attended a concert performed by James‘s band Ghost of the Robot last October. James is just a cool guy and I am THRILLED for his happiness. Let’s send all of our love and congrats to James and Patricia today :D
