Penélope Cruz & Javier Bardem Emerge For The First Time Since Giving Birth

Two weeks ago we learned that Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem welcomed the birth of their first born child, a boy, here in SoCal and last night the new parents ventured out for a little dinner date together … sans baby. Last night’s outing was the first time the couple were photographed in public since the birth of their niño … who clearly must’ve been at home with the nanny or family member.


Penélope and Javier grabbed a bite to eat at Koi and they looked pretty happy, don’t you think? I’m certain the couple have had their hands full caring for their new bundle of joy but after 2 weeks of new parenthood, well, I guess they were ready for a break away from the baby. As far as I know, the name of the boy has not yet been made public and surely there have been no photos of the little dude. Now that the parents have come back to the public eye they’ll get around to introducing us to their new son.

Watch: ‘X-Men: First Class’ Releases A First Movie Trailer

The official Facebook profile for the new film X-Men: First Class has just been updated with the film’s first movie trailer … which you can watch below. As you may recall, we got to see the first promo photos for this new X-Men prequel last month (HERE and HERE) but today we finally get to check out the first trailer in full … and it looks pretty damn sweet.


This prequel film is set in the 60′s decades before the X-Men films that have already been released even took place … back when Charles Xavier (Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (Magneto) were BFFs. Without further ado, here is the first trailer for X-Men: First Class:


Squeee! This looks good … James McAvoy as Charles Xavier is gonna rule! I can’t wait for this film to come … June 3 seems so far away. I am loving this trailer … are you?

Britney Spears Releases An Eighth Teaser For Her ‘Hold It Against Me’ Music Video — Early

Earlier today we got to see the 7th teaser clip for Britney Spears‘s upcoming new music video for Hold It Against Me but right now we get an early look at tomorrow’s 8th clip. Apparently, someone uploaded the 8th clip online early and the faithful Britney Army found out about it and began passing it around. In all honesty, this new clip is the BEST ON YET … cuz we get to see Britney kickin’ ass.


I understand that in one part of the video, Britney will be battling against herself and this clip seems to show the knock out punch delivered by Britney … against herself:


I guess you could say Britney can say it’s Me Against the Music Video ;) Some fans are envisioning that this scene shows Britney delivering an awesome punch to Ke$ha or Lady Gaga … what do you think?

Prince Allows ‘Glee’ To Use His Song ‘Kiss’

Early last month we learned that Gwyneth Paltrow will be reprising her role as Holly Holliday on Glee and today we learn that one of the songs she will perform on the show will be none other than Prince‘s iconic 80′s hit Kiss. As you may or may not know, Prince is notoriously stingy about letting other people record his music … apparently, the purple one has a soft spot for Glee … or Gweynth :)

After delivering a crazily popular performance of Cee Lo’s “Forget You” on Glee, Gwyneth Paltrow is set to make a second appearance on the hit FOX show. And she’s got some ace material to perform this time around: The actress will reportedly cover Prince’s 1986 “Kiss,” according to TVLine. The show will air on March 8. Paltrow will team up with actor Matthew Morrison for the Prince cover, which TVLine says will be a “sexed up,” “too hot for TV” version of the song. (Is it even possible to make a sexier version than Prince’s original?) Plotwise, Paltrow’s character (substitute teacher Holly Holiday) returns to McKinley High and becomes romantically entagled with Morrison’s Mr. Schuester.

Now that Prince has agreed to let one of his songs be used on Glee, creator Ryan Murphy won’t be forced to tell him to “Fuck off” or call him an “Asshole” like he did to Kings of Leon who continue to refuse to let Glee record their music. On the one hand, I’m pretty surprised that Prince is letting the show use his song … then again, if Madonna and Michael Jackson have let their music be used on the show, then it makes sense that Prince (the their part of the Holy Pop Trinity of the 80′s) would too. Kiss is one of my fave Prince songs …


… let’s hope Glee and Gwyneth in particular don’t eff it up. What do y’all think … are you excited to hear this Prince classic on Glee?

Let The ‘Games’ Begin

I have become the latest person COMPLETELY OBSESSED with the Suzanne Collins novel The Hunger Games after FINALLY getting around to reading the totally addictive book. For weeks I’ve been hearing how fantastic The Hunger Games is and I’ve been biding my time, waiting for the right time to start reading it. I’ve been so preoccupied with vinyl lately that I haven’t had much time to read. I started it over the weekend and OMG am I HOOKED!


Now, I’ve only read halfway thru the book but I was hooked from chapter 1. Collins is an excellent writer and a masterful storyteller (i.e. much better than Stephenie Meyer, almost on par with J.K. Rowling). Believe the hype, this book is as good as everyone raves. Set in a future America, the world of The Hunger Games is horrifying, frightening and totally engrossing. I have the next two books in the series, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, already downloaded to my Kindle — ready for reading. I’m gonna try and hold off on writing up any reviews of any of these books until I finish them … but I have a lot of flying in my near future, I may be finished with the books very soon.

If you are a Hunger Games fan, please sound off in the comments — BUT NO SPOILERS PLEASE.

Unfortch, I cannot do any reading tonight … David and I are going to a Belvedere Vodka party that will feature a live performance by Usher tonight … should be fun … I’ll have a full report tomorrow. Happy Thursday!!

I’m glad she sorted out the Grammy Awards question and I LOVED her response to the Glee-related Brittany S. Justin Bieber Gets Killed . . . On An Upcoming Episode Of ‘CSI:’

The last time popstar Justin Bieber appeared on the CBS TV series CSI: he played a bad boy juvenile delinquent. Welp, it turns out that Bieber will be returning to CSI: in an upcoming new episode … but this time around, things will turn out differently for the lad. He’s gonna get murdered, y’all.

Don’t look now girls, but the cult of Justin Bieber is about to end. Luckily it is just fictional, with the teen’s character on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation being killed off in the show. The teenager has revealed that his character will be murdered in the next episode of Season 11, set to air in the U.S. on February 17. ‘Yeah, I get killed in the episode. I definitely get murdered,’ he confirmed to MTV this week. Justin plays Jason McCann, a member of an anti-government family whose foster father is in jail and whose brother is seeking revenge against the police. The Canadian appeared in the very first episode of the season, but his character’s storyline had not yet been concluded. Speaking out about the much-anticipated episode, Bieber said he was excited about the fake death and even went so far as to say that getting shot by fake bullets was ‘cool’. ‘It was really cool because I actually—I get shot, like several times,’ he said. ‘I fall down and there’s fake blood and everything. It’s crazy how the whole process is.’

I can’t even imagine how may little tweeny boppers will be bawling their eyes out at the sight of their teenage dream getting shot to death on TV but I imagine the number will be roughly equal to the Bieber detractors celebrating the sight a dead Biebs. Which side will you be on?

Kelsey Grammer & Camille Grammer Are Officially Divorced

In late December we learned that actor Kelsey Grammer was itching for a quickie divorce from wife Camille Grammer so that he could marry his new wife Kayte Walsh as soon as possible. Today, after less than 2 months from that report, we learn that Kelsey and Camille are officially divorced … like, for real, dunzo!

This is usually the time when we say “Kelsey Grammer … officially single” — but since he’s planning on marrying his new girlfriend by the end of the month … it’s just a quick time-out. TMZ has learned Kelsey and Camille Grammer’s divorce was finalized moments ago — after a judge in L.A. County Superior Court signed the divorce decree. As we previously reported, Kelsey wanted a quickie divorce so he could marry his girlfriend Kayte Walsh. We’re told Kelsey and Camille will work out their property settlement issues at a later date. In order to get the divorce, Kelsey had to post $2.3 million, which protects Camille’s pension rights against any new spouse.

And just like that … they’re over. And in no time soon, Kelsey will be “on again” in a new marriage to Kayte Walsh. This, my good friends, is what the sanctity of marriage is all about … right?

As we learned a couple of days ago, the video for Hold It Against Me will debut on MTV at 9:56 PM next Thursday February 17 … one week from today. For now, we must content ourselves with another quick peek at the video.

Lindsay Lohan Shows Her ‘Basic Instinct’ In Court

Yesterday afternoon we saw blurry screencaps of Lindsay Lohan first making her arrival to court and then before the judge as she pleaded Not Guilty to the felony grand theft charge brought against her by LA County prosecutors. Today we get to see a few more, much clearer, photos of Lindsay at court yesterday. As you can see in the photos below, Lindsay decided to pay homage to Sharon Stone in the 1992 film Basic Instinct with her courtroom outfit.


To me, it looks like Lindsay had a great time at court yesterday. Not only was she able to revel in the fact that all eyes were on her but she was also able to wear her fabulously skimpy new skintight white dress for the occasion. It seems VERY clear to me that L. Lo decided to take her fashion cues yesterday from the Sharon Stone film Basic Instinct:


This is the infamous scene in the film where Stone‘s character spreads her legs and shows her police interrogators that she is not wearing any underwear. I’m uncertain if Lindsay did the same thing in the courtroom yesterday but, as we are all well aware, she has shown us all the sight of her exposed crotch a few times before.

As for the case against Lindsay, it sounds like she will be able to plea bargain her way out of trubs on this felony grand theft charge and will likely escape serving jailtime. But, according to TMZ, the police report seems pretty clear about how Lindsay allegedly stole the necklace:

Lindsay Lohan was trying on a slew of jewelry before walking out of the store with the $2,500 necklace … this according to the police report obtained by TMZ. The report outlines Lindsay’s every move — from the time she walked into the store to the time she left — and it’s all on surveillance video. According to the report, Lindsay walked in and removed her necklaces and placed them on the counter. The report says, “Ms. Lohan then proceeds to try on numerous rings and three different necklaces including the missing yellow diamond necklace.” The police report then says Lindsay continued shopping while wearing the yellow necklace. Then, at 6:12 PM, the owner locked the store but let Lindsay and her friend Patrick continue to shop. That’s when Lindsay tried negotiating a ring she had been eyeing, but she didn’t like the $3,600 price tag. Lindsay took $3,000 cash out of her purse and offered it in exchange for the ring, but the owner said no. Lindsay then said, “Ok, we’ll come back tomorrow.” When Lindsay prepared to leave the store, she put her own necklaces back on her neck, along with the yellow necklace in question … then walked out of the store. The owner noticed a short time after Lindsay left that the yellow necklace was missing, but figured she took it by mistake and would bring it back the next day. Lindsay never returned to the store.

Is this enough to convict? We’ll see. The judge did take great pains to warn Linds that if she gets into trouble again (which is likely) she could serve more jailtime … a threat that I’m sure Lindsay laughed her ass off at … again. Lindsay is due back in court on February 23 … we’ll just have to wait and see what she decides to wear on that occasion.

Lady Gaga Does ‘Vogue’ Magazine

A pink-wigged Lady Gaga is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Vogue magazine and while we must wait a day longer for the release of her new single Born the Way (the lead single from her upcoming new album of the same name), we have these Vogue photos to entertain us. In her interview with Vogue, Gaga opens up about her devotion to her fans which, I’m sure, is reciprocated by her most die hard admirers.

Her relationship with her fans occasionally seems to verge on unhealthy, as if both sides were overly invested in something that in the end is impossible. I bring up a YouTube video that got a lot of attention in late November, in which Gaga is crying in an arena in Poland as she talks to the audience. "Sometimes, being onstage is like having sex with my fans," she explains. "They're the only people on the planet who in an instant can make me just lose it." When she talks about her fans, one hears shades of messianic zeal. "I want for people in the universe, my fans and otherwise, to essentially use me as an escape," she says. "I am the jester to the kingdom. I am the route out. I am the excuse to explore your identity. To be exactly who you are and to feel unafraid. To not judge yourself, to not hate yourself. Because, as funny as it is that I am on the cover of Vogue—and no one is laughing harder than I am—I was the girl in school who was most likely to walk down the hallway and get called a slut or a bitch or ugly or big nose or nerd or dyke. 'Why are you in the chorus?' " (She's more Glee than Gary Glitter in some ways.) For Gaga, the stakes are high. "Because as an artist and as a performer, the person that they look up to to create this space of freedom and escapism, I want to give my fans nothing less than the greatest album of the decade. I don't want to give them something trendy. I want to give them the future." Not everyone gets Gaga, of course, and no one is more aware of that fact than the singer herself. As she puts it, "What I do for a living is not a cheese sandwich. It's not like, either good or bad. It's much more complicated than that."

Um, OK. While these sorts of Gaga comments don’t really click with me, I can absolutely understand how her fans can eat it all up. Tori Amos is my all-time fave female musician … and Tori fans know that these are the sorts of comments that she has been making for years in interviews. While Gaga uses the cheese sandwich as an analogy, Tori used the analogy of anchovies (“I know I’m an acquired taste – I’m anchovies. And not everybody wants those hairy little things.”). While I still do not consider myself a Gaga fan (by any means), I am willing to keep an open mind about her new music. Tomorrow at 6AM ET / 3AM PT, we will get our first listen of her new single … that will be my first indication of whether Gaga can keep my attention. A Closer Look At Miley Cyrus’s New Rib Tattoo

Last week Miley Cyrus gave us a peek at the newest tattoo she’s had inked on her ribcage when she wore a peek-a-boo side-slit shirt here in SoCal. Today we get a closer look at Miley‘s new ink in new photos of Miley wearing that same side-slit shirt … it’s clear she wants to show off her new tattoo. The photos that we saw last week weren’t very clear but today we learn, unmistakenly, that Miley‘s new tat is of a very large Native American dream catcher.

After sharing just a flash of her new tattoo earlier this month many were wondering what new inking Miley Cyrus had etched onto her skin. But as these pictures show her fifth tattoo, located on the right hand side of her rib cage, is of a dream catcher, a Native American symbol of unity. The 18-year-old singer proudly displayed the full extent of her new body art as she stopped off at a juice bar in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles. The actress, who was recently voted the worst role model for teenage girls in an AOL online poll, wore a low cut white vest and a see-through bra to display her new design. The tattoo, which starts just under her armpit and midway down the side of her torso, displays an image of a dream catcher, an object thought to change a person's bad dreams as they are sleeping. Miley has been spotted wearing dream catcher necklaces on a number of occasions before having a permanent reminder of the symbol drawn onto her body. The dream catcher tattoo is the singer's fifth tattoo adding to the 'Just Breathe' design on the opposite side of her ribcage, a stencil of a love heart and a small cross on her finger as well as the word LOVE on the inside of her right ear.

Firstly, let me make clear that I LOVE dream catchers. You’re supposed to hang them near your bed (perhaps, in a window) and they are meant to catch nightmares while you sleep and only let you have good dreams. That being said, I’m not sure how much I like this large dream catcher tattooed on Miley‘s ribcage. In the end, tho, it’s her body and if she loves it, then who the Hell cares what anyone else thinks? I suppose this permanent dream catcher will be with her always to ensure that she only has good dreams for the rest of her life … and that can’t be a bad thing. Clearly, Miley got this tattoo after she posed for Marie Claire magazine … in the photos that we saw yesterday from her MC shoot, she was showing off a lot of skin … and this tattoo is nowhere to be seen. What do y’all think of Miley‘s new ink … are you a fan?

Spider-Man Joins The Fantastic Four

Well I guess the Marvel Comics superhero group The Fantastic Four couldn’t stay down a man for long … because today we learn that after the death of The Human Torch last week, the team has a replacement member, new costumes — and a new name! As you may recall, Marvel Comics decided to kill off one of the original members of The Fantastic Four last week in the world of comic books. Today we learn that they have replaced that fallen member with a new Marvel superhero … by the name of Spider-Man.

With the Fantastic Four whittled to three after last month’s death of the Human Torch, Marvel’s longtime super group is changing names and adding a familiar face. Spider-Man, New York’s web-slinging guardian, is joining the group newly renamed The Future Foundation. Starting in FF No. 1, he’ll join with Mr. Fantastic, The Thing and the Invisible Woman in a bid to protect the Marvel universe from new threats, Marvel said Wednesday. The first issue is due out March 23. The Fantastic Four ended with issue No. 588 this month, after the Torch, aka Johnny Storm, died in issue 587. Like the former series, the new FF series is written by Jonathan Hickman and drawn by Steve Epting.

LOL! And this is exactly why I love comic books so much … the utterly ridiculous is accepted without question. I guess after decades of working alone (for the most part), Spider-Man has decided to join one of the most famous superhero groups in the Marvel Universe. Actually, Spidey has worked with The Fantastic Four many, many times before … but this is the first time he is joining them as an official member. That being said, now that they have Spidey in the group, The Fantastic Four will become The Future Foundation. Personally, I think the name is totally dumb … and I really do not like the costumes. But I can dig Spider-Man joining the team in the absence of the late Human Torch/Johnny Storm. Will comic book fans be as accepting? That remains to be seen. I, personally, do not see this new regorganization of the Fantastic Four Future Foundation as a lasting evolution. Spider-Man will always be Spider-Man in his iconic red and blue costume … flyin’ solo. But this gag is sure to sell a few comics books … right?
