Poll: Which Ex-Castmember Would You Like to See Return to 'Real Housewives of Orange County?' Posted: 13 Mar 2011 11:41 AM PDT Real Housewives of Orange County has the highest number of ex-castmembers than any other city. This is mostly because it has been around the longest. If you’ve been watching Real Housewives of Orange County since its inception, you know that the show today is much different than the show at the beginning. The show originally centered around an aspirational group of new-money friends/acquaintances living in Orange County and documented their trials and tribulations with their family and friendships. There was barely any in-fighting between the ladies in the beginning. Now, most of the cast members were not friends before the show. Vicki Gunvalson is the only remaining original housewife on the show today. Many of them are introduced as tentative social friends of just one cast member, which causes them to clash more with the others. The economy and the real estate bubble didn’t help much either; Jeana Keough quit the show during a very hard financial crisis with her family and rumors have been circulating that Lynne Curtin wasn’t asked back for season 6 because her family was no longer aspirational, having been evicted from their home the season before. Truthfully, I would probably watch the show no matter who was on it, but there are certainly ex cast-members that I miss more than others. Which brings me to my poll: Post from: Crushable Poll: Which Ex-Castmember Would You Like to See Return to 'Real Housewives of Orange County?' |
4 Ways I Can Tell You're Not as Big a 'Jersey Shore' Fan As I Am Posted: 12 Mar 2011 04:24 PM PST 1. You call it The Jersey Shore. There is no “the” in the title. Look it up. 2. You reference Snooki’s pouf. With a few exceptions, she hasn’t rocked that look since season 1. 3. All of your favorite quotes are things like “GTL,” which started during the first season. True fans of the show have already moved on to “Same shit, different toilet” and other more recent catchphrases. 4. You’re still using everyone’s nicknames, even when the person in question doesn’t use it anymore. Snooki prefers being called Nicole now that she’s a serious author lady, and JWoww is called Jenni by all of her housemates. You should feel free to call Sammi “that girl who has the sour expression all the time,” though. Let me guess – you just saw the South Park episode and are trying to make it look like you know what you’re talking about, right? Now that the first half of the second season (the Miami episodes) are up on Netflix, you have no reason not to get caught up. Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Controlling Boyfriend is Controlling Posted: 12 Mar 2011 09:44 PM PST I don’t know who has it worse on this week’s episode of Degrassi — Alli, who ran away, or Clare, who had to deal with not one, but two very creepy teenage boys who don’t understand boundaries. No, Alli probably has it worse, since by the end of “Jesus, Etc., Part Two” there’s a chance that she might have been kidnapped! The Jenna/K.C. subplot where they babysit someone’s kid was unimportant; can she just go into early labor already? But not to worry, those of you who love controversy: The two main plots gave us plenty of guidelines on how to spice up your boring life. Soon you’ll have baby mama drama and guys appearing at your door in the middle of a thunderstorm. Post from: Crushable Dos and Don'ts of Drama, with 'Degrassi': Controlling Boyfriend is Controlling |
Video: 'Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis: Tila Tequila' Posted: 13 Mar 2011 07:42 AM PDT I love Zach Galifianakis for so many reasons. He’s smart, he’s funny, and he reportedly threatened to quit The Hangover 2 should Mel Gibson be offered a cameo appearance. What’s not to love? Zach has a series of hilarious web videos on the Funny or Die website, entitled “Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis,” which have recently been nominated for a “Best Viral Video.” Check out this episode starring Tila Tequila and Jennifer Aniston. And don’t forget to watch Zach tonight on Saturday Night Live! Post from: Crushable Video: 'Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis: Tila Tequila' |
