Watch: ‘The Smurfs’ Releases A Full Length Trailer

Despite the fact that I still honestly believe that the upcoming 3D animated big screen version of The Smurfs is total blasphemy, the new full-length trailer released for the film is … not bad. I’m not saying I love it, I’m not saying it’s “good” … but I don’t hate it … and I could see how I might *possibly* end up liking this film. Check out the trailer in full below.


This trailer is much better than the teaser trailer we saw last Summer. Maybe it’s all the German beer I’ve been drinking for the past 2 weeks but … the movie, at the very least, looks kinda cute in this trailer. Are you impressed? What do y’all think?

Zac Efron Tries To Make Jorts Happen

When last we saw photos of Zac Efron out in public, he was lookin’ stylish and stuff on the cold streets of NYC. Today we get to see photos of Zac lookin’ stylish and stuff back home in SoCal as he made his way to a lunch date in LA. Normally, I would be making fun of a guy trying to seriously make cut off jorts (jean shorts) work but … well, I’ll leave that fun to you.


OK, jorts aside … he does look pretty good. The sweater is a nice look and it looks like homie is trying to grow a mustache. While we wait (the presumably 5 years) until it grows in full, let’s just hope his fascination with jean cut-off shorts is just a passing fancy. So … I gotta know … what do y’all think of Zac‘s look?

Alanis Morissette Takes The Family Out For Some Sunshine

Early last month we saw ADORABLE photos of Alanis Morissette, hubby Mario Souleye Treadway and their newborn baby boy Ever Imre out on their first public family outing and today we get to see a couple more photos of the fam out for another walk. I can’t even … little Ever is just the cutest little dude ever. You gotta see the photos below.

Being a first time mother can be a daunting experience for some women. But Alanis Morissette appears to have settled into parenthood with grace and ease, as she showed while taking son Ever Imre out for a walk in the sunshine in Brentwood, California. The 36-year-old singer beamed with pride and she and partner Mario ‘MC Souleye’ Treadway took a walk around their neighbourhood with their son and the family dog. Alanis recently took to her Facebook page to tell her fans how much she is enjoying being a mother to Ever, who was born on Christmas Day. She wrote: ‘I am filled with gratitude and inspiration. I am so grateful for all the kind congratulations you have sent to me and Souleye. We are deeply touched by your kindnesses.’ Ever has cracked open a door in my heart that I had been dusting off for years in anticipation of this kind of opportunity to love.’ Alanis has been enjoying being a new mother in recent weeks, but ensured she kept busy during her pregnancy by writing a new book, which is due for release later this year. ‘I’m in the middle of writing a book that is part psychology, part philosophy, part spirituality, part Q&A, part prose, part art…and is not a memoir,’ she said.

Awww … this little family is just to die for cute. And, yes, I’m excited for Alanis‘s book but what I really want (like really, really want) is a new album!! Still, I hope she takes all the time she needs to make any art she desires … her new job as mommy has got her bizzy, I’m sure. Love this family. So cute, right?

Watch: Eminem, ‘Letter To Detroit’

Eminem is showing his love for Detroit, yet again, in a new Letter to Detroit that he has penned for his beloved city. To accompany this moving and very powerful ode to the Motor City, Em has also put together a video tribute to the city that features some very well known and loved landmarks as well as the people of Detroit Rock City. It’s a video that I hope each and every one of you takes the time to watch.


Without exaggeration, I couldn’t get 2 minutes into the clip without tearing up. It’s just so powerfully emotional to hear someone — anyone — speak so highly and so lovingly about the city that I love so much. Both the poem and the video are masterpieces in my mind.

In other Emimem/Detroit news, another video has made its way online that was filmed last Summer during Em‘s stadium concert performances with Jay-Z in Downtown Detroit. This is another love letter to Detroit, one that I also hope all y’all with watch:


I believe this footage will be available soon on a DVD titled Home and I know it’s something that I must add to my collection. Eminem never fails in showing his unyielding love and pride for Detroit, MI. And for that, I love him dearly.

Auf Wiedersehen, Berlin

And, as they say … that’s all folks. David and I have spent 2 of the best weeks we’ve ever shared together here in the beautiful city of Berlin, German and now it is time for us to fly back home to the US. Because today is a total travel day, I won’t have time for much blogging but I did want to say one last goodbye — or Auf Widersehen — to the city that took care of us so kindly, so lovingly for the past half month. I’ve posted some of the “greatest hits” photos that I snapped during our stay this trip … I hope you enjoy them!




I honestly am at a loss for words right now. I am being totally serious when I say that I have fallen in love with Berlin and I am very, very sad to be leaving. I know this for a fact, we will be back. I want to send all my love to our new Berliner friends — Mark, Zuzka, Emi, Aaron, Mike, Arthur, Travis and Michael. They have helped make this a trip to remember and we are forever in their debt. Love goes out to all the people of Berlin as well. Danke Schön for everything!

Hello, Dalí

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report … today is our last day here in Berlin. It’s really crazy how quickly 2 weeks have flown by but David and I will be flying back to the US tomorrow morning. I’m telling you, I’m really sad to be leaving. BUT, we did make the most of our day today .. with a visit to the Salvador Dalí Museum and then a visit to the top of the Fernsehturm TV tower in Alexanderplatz, our last day was really fun.


Before the museum opened, David and I grabbed an early breakfast in Postdamer Platz and I had and fell in love with a beer drink called the Diesel. It’s basically beer with Coke and it is DELICIOUS! Then we checked out the surrounding area, taking photos where the Berlin Wall used to be. It’s just so crazy to imagine the divided Berlin from the past … the city is so wonderfully complete now, it seems like a fairytale. After we fooled around a bit, it was time to see what offerings the Salvador Dalí Museum in Berlin has to offer … and we were NOT disappointed:


David and I have seen Dalí artwork in Amsterdam and Barcelona but the collection here in Berlin is unmatched! I was so impressed with everything … from the paintings, to the watercolors, to the sculpture, to the film, to the photography. For being a fairly small museum, they have surprisingly a lot of artwork — 3,000 pieces in total. I was really, really impressed. I know it’s not particularly a “German” thing to do but I cannot recommend enough a visit to the Dalí Museum.

To close out our morning/early afternoon, we made our way closer to home to visit the top of the Fernsehturm in Alexanderplatz:


What a beautiful view of Berlin you get from up there. Our homebase here in Berlin has been in the Alexanderplatz area (in nearby Prenzlauer Berg) so the Fernsehturm is very dear to us.

But, alas, our time in Germany is almost over. We are meeting up with Mark for a traditional German meal as a send-off then some bar-hopping … then we fly out tomorrow morning. I won’t be able to work tomorrow seeing as it’s a travel day … but I’m planning at least one last Goodbye to Berlin post for the day. I am in love with this city. I will return, I can assure you.

Lindsay Lohan Gets Pulled Over By The Police, Then Dyes Her Hair Blonde

Yesterday morning Lindsay Lohan showed up in LA court to pretty much waste everyone’s time but just hours after she left the courthouse she was reportedly pulled over by the police for running a stop sign. I mean, are you serious? Lindsay Lohan is like a trouble magnet. Undaunted by her latest brush with the law, Lindsay continued on her merry way and went straight to the hair salon to lighten up her blonde hair … just a typical Thursday for L. Lo, I guess.

hours after Lindsay Lohan left the Airport Courthouse for her felony grand theft hearing and before lightening her hair at a Beverly Hills salon, the actress was pulled over by police for running a stop sign in Beverly Hills! A source close to Lohan tells X17online she was NOT cited for the offense, though she did get a warning. The starlet tweeted at 12:10pm, “Just waved down a police officer to help me block an x17 paparazzi- thank you #LAPD!!! His pictures were not coz i got pulled over! he got punk’d.” HOWEVER, our X17 photographers interviewed an officer after Lilo was stopped and he told us that the starlet WAS pulled over for running a stop sign! Tsk tsk Lindsay — you should know better than to lie on Twitter, especially when it comes to legal matters!

Nice try, Linds but the following video seems to clearly show (at least to me) that the police officer was telling Lindsay why he pulled her over, even pointing to the stop sign that she allegedly drove thru:


But, again, Lindsay got off with a warning and managed to successfully make her hair appointment later in the day:


It’s, like, impossible for Lindsay to go 5 minutes without getting into trouble for something. The girl is a jinx, no question. Trouble loves her, like, a lot!

Police Raid Charlie Sheen’s Home

Charlie Sheen‘s crazzy sheen-anigans have finally attracted the attention of the police. Last night the Beverly Hills police raided Sheen‘s home in search of firearms and ammunition, items that he is NOT supposed to be in possession of according to the terms of the restraining order placed on him by request of his estranged wife Brooke Mueller. Sheen tried to play down the police raid on Twitter but it sounds to me like his crazy antics just drew the wrong kind of attention to him, much to his chagrin.

“LAPD detectives responded to Charlie Sheen’s home this evening to investigate a possible violation of a temporary restraining order,” LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman tells PEOPLE of the Thursday night visit to his home in a Beverly Hills gated community. “It came to the attention of the LAPD that Sheen is the registered owner of firearms,” the LAPD said in a statement late Thursday night, and conducted their investigation at Sheen’s home “to determine if he is in possession of firearms and ammunition in violation of the [restraining order].” They confiscated bullets and an antique gun, but Sheen was not arrested or detained – he, in fact, calmly ate dinner during the search, Sheen’s lawyer Mark P. Gross said outside the home. Police visited Sheen last week to remove his twin boys from his custody after his estranged wife Brooke Mueller obtained a restraining order. Earlier Thursday, the former couple reached a private custody agreement, but per standard temporary restraining orders, “the restrained person cannot possess, have, buy or try to buy, receive or try to receive, or in any other way get guns, other firearms or ammunition.” With police still at the home, one of Sheen’s so-called “Goddesses,” Natalie Kenly, downplayed the events to PEOPLE, saying, “Everything is fine. Nothing to worry about.” Shortly after they cleared out, Sheen Tweeted, “The LAPD were awesome. Absolute pros! They can protect and serve this Warlock anytime!!”

I mean … of course this kind of crazy shizz was gonna happen sooner or later. Here are the tweets that Charlie posted to try and downplay the raid:

So … ok. In other Sheen news, homie has announced a tour of some sort (very likely sprung from his meeting with LiveNation earlier in the week) called My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option and his first stop is in Detroit, MI. Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel Are Dunzo — For Really, Real This Time

After a false alarm report in 2009 and then another false alert report in 2010, today — in 2011 — we learn for REALSIES that longtime couple Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have broken up … for good, for real, the end. Altho I was hesitant to believe this latest report of the couple’s split, there are reps for both Justin and Jessica have confirmed the break-up. They are dunzo … for really real dunzo, y’all.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are no longer a couple. The two decided to end their relationship recently and “there are no hard feelings,” a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. “It was completely mutual and they both decided it was time to move on.” The source adds that Biel is keeping her house in L.A. and she and Timberlake, who started dating in 2007, will remain friends. Reps for the couple released a statement Thursday, confirming the split: “Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other.”

Well … at least they have it the ol’ college try. 5 years together is no small feat and if after that time a couple comes to realize that they no longer want to be together then it’s best that they part ways. To be honest, I never really minded Justica together … they make a cute couple and they always seemed so happy. It’s a shame that things didn’t work out but … c’est la vie. Let’s pour one out for the dearly departed Justica.
