Waka Flocka Gets Buck Naked For PETA's INK NOT MINK Campaign

Posted: 08 Mar 2011 08:21 AM PST

Hopefully you've digested your breakfast already.  Because rapper Waka Flocka Flame's brand new PETA campaign ad just came out, which urges, "Ink, Not Mink. Be Comfortable in Your Own Skin and Let Animals Keep Theirs."

And Waka is showing all just short of the full monty--thanks to a strategically placed chain.  Read on for today's look-away moment...

Waka showed off his fully inked upper bod--and hairy inner thighs--for a cause.  He's telling the hip hop community to think before rocking those furs and minks, because of the way those things were made.

According to PETA's press release:

In an exclusive PETA interview, Waka urges the hip-hop community to consider the animals who are cruelly killed for fur coats, collars, and cuffs. "Understand where that fox fur came from before you spend $1,000…someone got their head beat in and electrocuted," he says "Understand what you buy, instead of just going off fashion and what it looks like—that's what I'd tell my community."

Waka also speaks out against forcing animals to perform in circuses. "I don't agree with that at all," he says. "That shit is whack."

The Flockaveli MC is the first rapper to star in PETA's iconic "Ink, Not Mink" campaign. Other musicians who have joined with PETA to speak out against fur include Pink, Kid Sister, Mark Ronson, Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, Gym Class Heroes' Travie McCoy, Dave Navarro, Chuck D, Masta Killa, Murs, and Mario, among many others.

Interesting.  Here's some behind the scenes footage as well:

I wonder if his fur loving bestie Gucci Mane will follow suit?

Royce Reed Dishes On "Basketball Wives" Drama + Chris Bosh Crushes His Baby Momma's "Basketball Wives" Dreams

Posted: 08 Mar 2011 07:31 AM PST

Royce Reed may not be able to speak about Dwight Howard but she has a lot to say about Shaunie and the other women of the "Basketball Wives" reality show.  And just when we thought she was getting replaced by Chris Bosh's ex Allison Mathis, that may not be going down afterall.

See the highlights from her recent radio interview plus, we can tell you who's baby's momma won't be joining the cast of "Basketball Wives."  Get the deets inside...

"Basketball Wife" Royce Reed called up TT Torez of Richmond's 92.1 and the two discussed her future role on the show, her relationship with the other wives AND… about rumors of Dwight Howard freezing her accounts and cutting her child support.

On the Tami vs. Evelyn fight:

She says she doesn’t blame Tami for the fight between her and Evelyn. She also wanted to clarify on recent tweets made by fellow Basketball Wife Tami saying “Everybody knew but me.” She wanted everyone to know she didn’t know and Tami wasn’t talking about her. She says she isn’t like Suzie and owns up to her mistakes.

On her friendship status with other wives:

Royce said when people put themselves out there and express their feelings from the heart and then others show their true colors, it makes you feel stupid. She said “they” aren’t her friends. However, Tami, Suzie and Ashley are her friends. She even mentioned how she and Gloria ended their drama. But she wouldn’t go out her way to say Evelyn and Jennifer are friends of hers.

On her relationship with Shaunie:

She says Shaunie has that mentality that if her friends don’t like you , then she can’t either and to her that’s high school.

On her joining the cast:

She mentioned her life as being a open book and when she signed on to be on the show, she knew people were going to look at her with a side stare. She said she made some stupid mistakes but she has morals. She claims to not be that girl with a lot men under her belt.

Her and Dewayne’s relationship on the show:

She didn’t want to film intimate moments of their  relationship but she was told by production that she had to have a certain amount of footage. She planned to be unsexy and wear an unflattering outfit in hopes that it wouldn't make the show but unfortunately, it did.

On Evelyn and Ochocinco’s relationship:

She said she cant knock them if its it for TV but she doesn’t know if its real or fake.

On the rumors of her not returning to Basketball Wives:

She says it isn’t true and she will be returning and hopefully the public can see other projects she’s working on like her new book “College Girls.”

On her up and coming projects:

She said the release date for her book “College Girls” is next Sunday. The book is loosely based on her life and her friends life in college and the parts of college life that aren't discussed like campus rapes and STD scares.

She is also in a play called “Cheaters” written by Dennis Reed which is slated for a 14 city tour and she works with a non-profit organization called “Dance to Live” which fights against childhood obesity.

Opinion on how this season of Basketball Wives turned out:

She thinks they got the ratings that they wanted and that she stayed true to herself and you can love her and/or hate her.

On Suzie being scared of Evelyn:

She responds saying Suzie isn’t scared of Evelyn anymore and that Suzie felt as if she looked like a wimp on TV.

On the rumor about Dwight Howard cutting of her child support:

She states that she can't discuss the situation but her son is her love and she will fight tooth to nail for what she loves.

Listen to the interview here:

And thanks to Chris Bosh, Royce really isn't leaving the show:

Royce Reed may return to "Basketball Wives" next season.  But not because Shaunie and the other women like her, but simply because they haven't found a replacement.

Producers were talking with Chris Bosh's baby momma, Allison Mathis, but TMZ reports Chris and his lawyers have already put that situation on lock down.  So now that Allison can't talk about Chris or their daughter on TV, producers may keep Royce because they haven't found anyone to fill her shoes.

Although it had been reported that MTV had banned Kanye's video for "Monster" before its release, MTV officials say this is not so.

A spokesperson for MTV says,

NON-YBF BREAKING NEWS: Charlie Sheen FIRED From "Two & A Half Men", Says It's "Good News"

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 02:13 PM PST

Charlie Sheen and his goddesses better hit those classified ads.  Because Warner Brothers and the execs at "Two & A Half Men" have officially had enough of Mr. Sheen's antics.  And he's just been FIRED!

Deets when you read on...

I've been trying to not even discuss this Charlie Sheen ish.  But it's officially hit the fan.  After the creator, writer, and executive producer, Chuck Lorre of "Two & A Half Men," halted production of the multi-million dollar show, and after Charlie's numerous erratic interviews and behavior, the nail has just been slammed into the coffin.

Charlie Sheen has been fired.  According to the Associated Press:

Warner Bros. Television says it has fired Charlie Sheen from the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men."  The studio that produces the CBS series said the decision was made after "careful consideration."

Sheen's erratic personal life had prompted Warner to suspend production on the show for the season, and Sheen in return had been waging an angry media campaign against the show's producers.  No decision has been made on the future of the series, Warner Bros. said in a statement.

Seeing that the show was created for Charlie, and it has been so successful for over 7 years, many people thought the show wouldn't completely just end due to recent behaviors.  But that's what's happening.  A lot of people's money has just been messed with.  Not a good look.

#LOSING

UPDATE: Charlie put out this statement to TMZ:

"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

We did hear he's on the search for a new social media intern.  #STILLLOSING

YBF correspondent Kalia also caught up with Holly Robinson Peete, Essence Atkins, and more on the red carpet about why the Image wards are so important to our community. And since this is the main reason for me starting TheYBF.com, I can appreciate and love that fact. Congrats again to all the winners!

VIDEO: Bobby Brown "Gets Out The Way" On "The View"

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 11:47 AM PST

Bobby Brown is officially on that comeback tip.  Not only did he confirm on "The View" this morning that ALL of New Edition are reuniting for a new album in the very near future, but he performed his new single for the audience.

Read on for Bobby B.'s sit-down with Sherri and Elizabeth when you read on...

Sigh.  While I'm uber excited for this New Edition reunion cd and possibly reunion tour--if Bobby's going to be out of breath 30 seconds into the performances like he was this morning, we may want to rethink the strategy.

With that said, the crowd seemed to love his performance of his new tack "Get Out The Way."  Bobby chatted with the ladies about Bobbi Kristina looking just like him (even though apparently Kris doesn't like to admit it), Bobbi Kris' singing being better than Whitney's *side eye*, and the new loves of his life--his fiance Alicia and baby boy Cassius.

Check it.

Chris Brown Opens Up About Being Blackballed By The Music Industry Post-Chriannagate

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 11:15 AM PST

In a soon-to-be released interview, Chris Brown opens up about being blackballed by the music industry after the Rihanna scandal.  Deets inside...

During a Page Six Magazine interview that debuts on Thursday, Chris opens up about being blackballed by fans and industry peers.

"A handful of people stuck by me. But when [most] people see certain things happen to somebody, they usually turn away. They don't want to get involved with it because they don't want their name attached to anything negative."

Chris, who named his new album, F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies), says he feels things are coming full circle and he is embraced by the public again.

"They wanna get on the record. They wanna let me back in the door. The last two years, everybody dissed me. But my fans were so dedicated. The way I look at it is, you can't walk around mad, because then you just prove everybody right that you're an angry person."

The Page Six interview will appear in the Thursday edition of the New York Post.

FOLLOWING SUIT: Usher Raymond Donating Gaddafi Money To Charity

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 10:30 AM PST

Usher Raymond is the latest celebrity to join Beyonce and Mariah Carey in donating the money that he received performing for a member of the Gaddafi family to charity.   Deets inside...

Usher reportedly received $1 million when appeared at the same event as Beyonce on the island of St. Barts, which was funded by Mutasim Gaddafi, Muammar’s fourth son.  The "Confessions" singer claims he was unaware of the link to the Libyan dictator’s family saying:

“I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart’s event that took place on New Year’s Eve 2009,” said Usher. “I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations.”

He has already donated a portion of the money to Amnesty International.

“Usher’s donation will support this urgent work to counter the brutal conditions imposed by Gaddafi and other leaders across the Middle East,” said the human rights organization.

It's good to see Usher and other celebs making good on their donations and changing lives.

SPORTS: Lawrence Taylor Can't Afford His Child Support Payments + Chris Paul Left Game On A Stretcher!

Posted: 07 Mar 2011 10:03 AM PST

Since the public fallout from his arrest for having sex with an underage hooker, football legend and former "DWTS" contestant Lawrence Taylor says he can't afford $456 a week in child support for his ailing 13-year-old daughter.  Deets inside...

In family court papers filed last week in New Jersey, ex-Giant Lawrence Taylor claims he cannot meet his child support obligations.  Lawrence said in his filing that his ability to generate income was heavily impacted by his arrest last year.

"My income is generated solely by my popularity as a celebrity," he says in the Bergen County filing. "The fact that I last played in 1993 and legal problems in Rockland County . . . have severely diminished my ability to obtain income. "I have no college degree or special skills other than athletics."

Lawrence Taylor asked the court to lower his payments after Ebony Washington asked for higher payments for their daughter, Erielle, who was recently diagnosed with Crohn's disease.  Sigh.  I want to feel bad, but he brought this on himself with even putting himself in the situation to get caught up.

Maybe this could be a lesson--that I'm sure will go unheard--to these NFL and NBA fellas to DIVERSIFY their assets AS SOON AS those checks start coming in.  Because trust, they stop sooner than you think.

In other sports news....

New Orleans Hornets baller Chris Paul was carried out of the Hornets' 96-81 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers game, on a stretcher Sunday night. He was taken to the Cleveland Clinic, where tests showed that he had a concussion.  The Huffington Post reports,

"Chris was injured with 4:36 remaining in the third quarter when he lost the ball driving into the lane as he was defended by Ramon Sessions and Samardo Samuels. When Paul tried to retrieve the ball, he hit his forehead on Sessions' right shoulder and immediately fell to the court. Paul stayed on the floor as trainers from both teams attended to him."

But all is well...Chris later rejoined the Hornets at the arena and accompanied them on their charter flight to Chicago.  He will miss Monday's game.  Y'all know my heart dropped when I hear my crush was hurt.  Glad he's ok.

The Randomness:

1.  Braylon Edwards tries to get DWI case tossed.  Good luck with that.  Story.

2.  Ron Artest tumbles into the crowd and spills a fan's coffee.  Dude stays causing trouble in the stands.  LOL  Story.
