Tyra Banks Gets FAB For Wall Street NYSE, Talks Living In Harvard Business School Dorms

Tyra Banks is putting her Harvard Business School education to good use.  The new student donned her dance tights and nude short set and knee high boots to visit the New York Stock Exchange early this morning.

 

Pics of Tyra ringing the bell and promoting her new business venture--a fashion and beauty website called Type F.  And yes, F stands for Fierce.  Read on for pics and how she's doing with dorm life...

The fabulous Ms. Banks has been keeping a low profile the last few months while she spends time with her businessman boyfriend John and while she attends classes at Harvard Business School.

But this morning, she surfaced with her new short and dark hairstyle to ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street in the financial district of Manhattan.

Her new Type F site offers beauty tips, makeup tips, and everything fierce and fabulous for women.  The "America's Next Top Model" head honcho is also in the midst of penning a book called MODELLAND.  I see Tyra stays on her grind.

She's looking fresh faced and revived as of late.

Congrats to Tyra!

She also hit Jimmy Fallon's show last night.  And she dished about living in the Harvard dorms--which is mandatory for all business school students.  She has her own bedroom, but the 37-year-old shares a living room, kitchen and study area.  Peep the vid:

Fab chick Letoya Luckett turned the big 3-0 last Friday.  And she recently celebrated with longtime friends Kelly Rowland and Brandy at Phillipe Chow in L.A.

Kelly looked fabulous in her gray angled hem blazer and jeans, Brandy rocked a hot purple dress and cute heels, and birthday girl Letoya looked red hot in this cut-out bust sleeveless dress.

Loves this dress.  Perfect fit for her as usual and she looks flawless.

Makeup artist AJ Crimson grabbed some kisses from the birthday girl.

Musician Lonnie Burrell was there to party with Toya.

And so was Manny Halley.

Gucci Mane Covers "The Source" + Travis Barker & The Cool Kids Perform On "106 & Park"

Gucci Mane appears on the cover of the latest issue of The Source magazine where he talks about wanting to become the richest man in Atlanta.  Get the deets on his interview inside plus watch Travis Barker perform with The Cool Kids on "106 & Park."

 

Between his lyrics and his face tattoo, a lot of fans and critics may not think Gucci Mane is the smartest guy around.  In this month's issue of The Source he addresses critics who don't think he's very bright saying,

"Yeah. The critics and bloggers ridicule and scrutinize [but] it fuels my fire. I can’t say I want to enjoy all the spoils of the game without being criticized. I actually welcome it as a part of success. I don’t want everybody to like me. So many people feel like I don’t deserve the things I got. I know I worked so hard for ‘em, so [criticism] makes me work even harder.”

He also told the mag,

“When I came out of school, I had a 3.4 GPA,” said Gucci, who went to Georgia Perimeter College. “I was always a smart guy. I always prided myself on being a challenger and making challenging decisions. I’m not perfect, but I definitely try my best to be a good person that makes wise decisions.”

Elsewhere in the article, Gucci says he wants to be “the richest person in Atlanta,” and that his fame is so huge he can barely live his life.

“I’m so big in Atlanta right now, I can’t even go outside.  It never used to be like this. Now old people, white people, all people know who I am. Like people almost wrecking their car to take a picture of my car.  Yesterday, I’m in my Ferrari, I get pulled over, the cop comes to the car and says, ‘Sorry, I just wanna see the inside of your Ferrari.’ I swear to God.”

Talented drummer (and one of my white boy crushes) Travis Barker, stopped by 106 & Park to perform his single “Jump Down” with The Cool Kids. The song appears on his solo debut album, Give The Drummer Some which lands in stores today!

 

 

 

SPOTTED: Romeo, Master P, & Chelsie Hightower Make A "DWTS" Appearance On "EXTRA"

"DWTS" contestant Romeo hit up "EXTRA" yesterday at The Grove for an interview segment with his partner Chelsie Hightower.

Amber Rose Tweets Her Weight To Combat Fat Rumors, Lands Foxxhole Radio Show

Amber Rose caught feelings over the blogosphere calling her fat--especially after pics of her jogging session in unflattering leopard leggings hit the net.

 

So Kanye's ex took to twitter to tell her followers her height and weight and said she doesn't understand the hate.  We've got her Tweet, plus details on her new radio show on Foxxhole radio, when you read on....

Over the past couple months, folks in the blogosphere have been commenting on Amber Rose's supposed weight gain.  So she finally had enough yesterday and tweeted this, according to the Huffington Post:

‘I'm 5'9 148. How am I fat? Man, what have I done so wrong? Be [too] nice? I just don't get it.’

Of course, she deleted the tweet after she noticed she had just done what almost no woman would have the balls to do. 

Meanwhile, the crazy funny folks over at Sirius/XM's Foxxhole radio have a new host.  Jamie Foxx went and gave Amber her own "sexy" radio show.  What it will be about?  Who knows.  But Foxxhole is known for keeping things comedic and inappropriate.  Which is why I love it.  The tweets from Amber and Jamie:

Solange Knowles Records "Music For RAIN" Track For Kenya's Water Crisis

Solange Knowles is putting her songwriting and voice to good use.  She helped create a track for a cause--the water crisis in Kenya.  It's called "Music For RAIN" and we've got the video and how you can help when you read on....

The video is directed by Natalie Johns and the beautiful song was created by Solange Knowles, Chris Taylor, and Twin Shadow.  As there continues to be a lack of access to clean water in countries such as Kenya, celebs with influence are getting the word out about how everyday people elsewhere in the world can help. 

"Kenya" is a track created by Chris Taylor (CANT) Solange Knowles and Twin Shadow to raise money and awareness around the issue of access to water and sanitation as part of The Replenish Africa Initiative (RAIN) founded by The Coca Cola Africa Foundation. RAIN brings together business, local government, NGO"s and committed individuals to tackle the problem of access to water and sanitation in Africa. All proceeds from 'Kenya", will be used to provide clean water and sanitation resources to Africa's most needy. Whether that's providing loos in Rwanda, rain harvesting roofs in Uganda or carrying containers in the Cameroon.

Rihanna and her cleavage were on full display when she went for dinner in Los Angeles at Giorgio Baldi restaurant just hours ater touching down at LAX last night.

She wasted no time hitting the sidewalk catwalk after touching down.

MUSIC FAB: Jennifer Hudson's "ANGEL"

A brand new track off Jennifer Hudson's upcoming I Remember Me album has hit the net.  It's called "Angel" and it's produced by Swizz Beatz.

 

See if you can guess who wrote this track when you listen and read on...

Swizzy produced the uplifting mid-tempo track. 

And if you couldn't tell, his wife Alicia Keys wrote it.

I probably would have liked this better if it was a duet with A-Keys because her sound is all over this.  J-Hud's new LP drops March 22nd.

Celebs hit Common's birthday bash in Hollywood recently.  Meagan Good, Kanye, and hit up Redbury Hotel to wish Mr. Lonnie Rashid a happy 39th b-day.  Pics from the party, plus celebs hitting other events, when you read on....

Miami Heat Girlfriends Gabby, Adrienne, & Savannah Do Haiti Charity Shoot+Dwyane Wade Gets Custody Of Sons

The girlfriends of the Miami Heat's star trio have gotten glammed up for a charity photoshoot for Haiti.  Pics of Dwyane Wade's girlfriend Gabby Union, Chris Bosh's fiance' Adrienne Williams, and Lebron James' girlfriend Savannah Brinson, getting pretty in Miami this morning, when you read on...

 

Seems as though the ladies have put on their charity hats to get glam for a cause.  Gabby, Adrienne, and Savannah, rocked their Heat for Haiti tanks for a brand new photoshoot.  And all three of the ladies tweeted this morning about it:

Gabby tweeted, "Getting ma hair did at our project medishare 4 haiti photoshoot."  Lookin' cute.

Speaking of Gabrielle, her boyfriend Dwyane Wade was just awarded sole and full custody of his 2 young son, after a long and brutal custody battle with ex-wife Siohvaughn Wade. 

"My life changed in a huge way," Wade told the AP. "Mentally, I've been preparing for it for over a year now. To me, it's bigger than that. For me, it shows a lot of people that you need to fight to be in your kids' lives sometimes. You fight until you can't fight any more. That's all I was trying to be, a father in his kids' lives."

Wow.  That's big.  The court also had some words for D-Wade's ex-wife, as this was reportedly the longest custody battle in Cook County history since 2003:

"This court finds that [Siohvaughn Wade] has embarked on an unstoppable and relentless pattern of conduct for over two years to alienate the children from their father, and lacks either the ability or the willingness to facilitate, let alone encourage, a close and continuing relationship between them," read a portion of the ruling entered by Judge Renee G. Goldfarb.

Good to know that at least the kids can carry on with their lives without the courtroom drama around them. 

The Randomness:

1.  Evelyn Lozada is demanding $20K an episode in order to return to "Basketball Wives."  Right now, the cast is making $7500 an episode.  Until she has a ring on her finger from Chad--who is facing an NFL lockout next year--chick better get ready to hit her mark on set.  WOMP.  Story
