Nicolette Sheridan Drops Physical Injury And Emotional Distress Claims Against DH Creator

Looks like she's had a change of heart!

Former Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan is dropping two of the most extreme claims from her lawsuit against her former DH employers, creator Marc Cherry, Touchstone Television, and ABC.

Back in April, Sheridan sued Cherry, Touchstone, and ABC, for $20 million, alleging assault and battery, emotional distress, gender violence, and wrongful termination. ABC responded that all of her claims were "without merit."

In regards to her physical injury and emotional distress claims, ABC required that she submit a physical and psychiatric evaluation, however, Sheridan has dropped those claims so she will no longer need to fulfill their evaluation request.

She still alleges though, that her physical injury claims are valid, but she wants to "streamline" the case.

Something seems a little fishy here.

Who do U believe?? Sheridan or ABC?

Britney Spears Was The Inspiration For Gwyneth's Character In Country Strong

Inneresting!

According to the writer and director of Country Strong, Shana Feste, Britney Spears was her inspiration when writing for the character, played by Gwyneth Paltrow.

In the movie, Gwyneth plays a country singer who's a strugglng addict. Feste said when writing for the character, she used Britney's public meltdown as inspiration to show how the media lifts bright, young, talented stars only to bring them down and destroy them.

Feste continued:

"That's where this movie came from. I mean, I was seeing what was happening in the media to Britney Spears. I finished the script when Michael Jackson passed away. I think it's tragic how we treat people who give us so much, and we love to see them knocked down to build them back up again, to knock them down again. It's a weird fascination."

We wonder if Gwyneth used the same inspiration when preparing for the role.

Do U see any comparison between the two?

Even in prison, Wesley Snipes is making sure his voice gets heard!

Attorneys for the actor have filed a new appeal, asking the court to let him out of prison so that he can take his case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Snipes is asking the Court of Appeals to overturn their decision that ordered him to jail last week. He believes he deserves a new trial because there was an alleged juror bias during his tax evasion case.

Seems pretty ballsy! But, you can't blame him for wanting to fight!

Thoughts??

How many times has been this now? One, two, a bajillion??

Randy Quaid's wife, Evi, has missed yet another court date, which means yet another warrant is out for her arrest.

She failed to appear for a probation hearing on Thursday in Santa Barbara as she and her husband remain in Canada. They are seeking asylum from from the "Hollywood star-whackers."

At Thursday's hearing, their lawyer, Robert Sanger, withdrew from the case and declined to comment.

Smart move.

Evi indicated that she didn't want to leave her husband in Canada to go deal with the case in California. She now faces a new $100,000 arrest warrant.

You can't run forever.

Senate Votes To Repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell!

This is huge. HUGE!!

With a 63-33 vote on Saturday to end the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the Senate, this is a huge victory in the repeal of DADT.

The bill now moves to the president's desk for the final vote.

If DADT is repealed, it would mean that gays would be openly accepted by the military and could acknowledge their sexual orientation without the fear of being fired.

"I don't care who you love, if you love this country enough to risk your life for it, you shouldn't have to hide who you are. You ought to be able to serve," said Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.)

After the Senate's vote, President Obama said in a statement:

"The Senate has taken an historic step toward ending a policy that undermines our national security while violating the very ideals that our brave men and women in uniform risk their lives to defend."

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said, "We are on the verge of ending 'don't ask, don't tell' for good."

Repealing DADT will not go into effect immediately. There will be a 60-day waiting period as the Pentagon implements new rules.

This is such a huge victory! Equality for all!

Lesbian Car Commercial Banned In Italy

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 09:20 AM PST

A car ad, promoting the new Renault Twingo, has been banned in Italy due to a steamy bedroom scene between two women where one of them strips down to black lingerie while the other blindfolds her with a silk stocking.

The ad has angered some local gay groups while others say that the car is barely mentioned in the ad.

The creators of the commercial defend their product, saying, "We wanted to create an advert that was original, enjoyable and at the same time not vulgar, and I believe we have achieved that."

We don't really see what the big deal is. Check out the commercial (above) and decide for yourself.

Soap Actor Responds To Neil Patrick Harris!!

It's getting nasty!

The soap actor, Eric Braeden, who Neil Patrick Harris called a "D-bag" on Twitter for bailing out on a HIMYM cameo, has responded to NPH's outburst and he's not happy!

The Young & Restless star said:

"I really don't know who that fellow is. He's a guy who stars in that series. It's very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I've doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I'm exhausted. I was not about to appear on a show for two lines, because that's what it amounted to.

I truly enjoyed working there last time. The cast and crew and producers couldn't have been nicer.

[As for Harris], his choice of words bothered me. It seems to me like a young whippersnapper, having seen himself on a few covers, who's received a few awards, is now suddenly suffering from the first signs of hubris. I've been in the business for 50 years. I've seen people come and go and I'm still here. If he is a worthy adversary, he'd better not cross my path. I will let bygones be bygones."

"Whippersnapper?" Looks like he's pulling out the big guns!

Seems like NPH had a change of heart though, because a few hours after his original Twitter outburst, he later tweeted this:

Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment. Don't know the guy personally. I'm just fiercely protective of our show.

Seems like someone is trying to do a little backtracking.

Who do U think is in the right here?
