| George Clooney brought Stacy Keibler to Toronto, but it’s still sketchy Posted: 10 Sep 2011 05:57 AM PDT In my last post about this weird George Clooney-Stacy Keibler situation, I told Keibler to "red-carpet girlfriend debut or GTFO." It just seemed like Keibler was a little crazy, and she was the one to push endless stories about how she and Clooney were totally in love, while Clooney was spending his time thousands of miles away from her. Well, Clooney invited Keibler to Toronto, BUT… there's still no "red carpet girlfriend debut". Clooney is in Toronto to push The Ides of March and The Descendants. Yesterday, it was all about The Ides of March, and for the premiere, Clooney walked the carpet solo. Not that Keibler wasn't there - according to LaineyGossip's Twitter feed, Keibler was the first person on the red carpet, wearing this tacky-looking stripper's get-up. She looks kind of busted, in my opinion. I wonder why she's covering up her neck? Hahaha, you know what they say (cough). But she does have a great body - her legs are amazing. But! Stacy is still getting her "debut" as Clooney's girlfriend in Toronto. There have been multiple sightings of the two of them together in Toronto, and there was even an exclusive photo of the two of them sipping champagne together, although it looks like that photo has been pulled. There's too much evidence of the two of them being loved up, so now I can no longer think that Cray-Cray Keibler is just stalking him. But I do wonder why George is moving so slowly with this one? Why not walk the red carpet with her? Maybe he took one look at this dress and was like, "Girl, when we get back to LA, I'm buying you a stylist." | Angelina Jolie in Vivienne Westwood, in Toronto: lovely or boring? Posted: 10 Sep 2011 05:27 AM PDT My birthday is tomorrow, so Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to give me the gift of new red carpet photos. It was just what I wanted! Brad is in Toronto to push Moneyball, which I still really want to see. The photos of Brad solo, without sunglasses, are from the press conference and photo call for Moneyball, and then the photos where he's with Angelina Jolie are from the Toronto premiere. Angelina wore this black Vivienne Westwood that I really, really like on her. I've been wanting her to wear Westwood for so long! I don't know who did the lovely gold purse, but it's a nice metallic "pop" for the black dress. Oh, and the purse is "chained" to Angelina's wrist - that's not a separate piece of jewelry. I bet kinky Jolie loved that. As for Brad… does anyone else think he looks like Tom Brady now? It's the hair. Brad had grown out his hair to a perfect Tom Brady-esque man-bob. Still… Brad looks good. He had been relatively clean-cut for a while, but I think this scruff might be for World War Z, and hopefully Brad will do something different when that film finishes its endless shoot. | Rihanna’s cousins are rooting for her to get back together with Chris Brown Posted: 09 Sep 2011 10:34 AM PDT We all remember the horrific injuries sustained by Rihanna in early 2009 when Chris Brown beat the living hell out of her. Fortunately, Rihanna broke off that relationship and hasn’t gone back — although she might have looked back once or twice because a pattern of abuse is very difficult to break even (or especially) on the victim’s end. I always assumed that, in the end, everyone but Chris was happy that Rihanna has chosen that route for herself; certainly, I never imagined that members of her family would be rooting for Rihanna to get back with the guy, but the latest issue of The Enquirer says that is precisely the case. Yeah, I know it sounds unbelievable, right? Here’s the thing — it’s not like The Enquirer gathered this information from “an insider” close to the family or anything suspect like that. Instead, these are Rihanna’s actual cousins talking to the publication, and they speak of Chris in bizarrely glowing terms:
[From The Enquirer, print edition, September 19, 2011] Honestly, I find the behavior of Rihanna’s cousins in this instance to be rather disgusting. Exactly what kind of a supportive family member would (publicly or otherwise) encourage their cousin to get back together with an abusive ex-boyfriend? All based upon the fact that he was “really nice” and sat on the floor while eating fish and rice. Of course Chris was cordial to Rihanna’s family because he probably wanted to make a good impression, but that doesn’t mean that he wasn’t a violent nightmare behind closed doors. And he undoubtedly was just that. In this case, there is photographic evidence that Chris beat the living crap out of Rihanna, and yet her cousins are willing to overlook that as trivial in light of the fact that he was sweet and danced with them. They honestly seem to believe that Chris merely made a series of consecutive mistakes when his fist hit Rihanna over and over again. How would these cousins feel if Rihanna took their advice and ended up dead one day because of it? I don’t even want to think about that; and hopefully, Rihanna will ignore her cousins’ misguided words too. | Nicole Richie: “Jessica Simpson is very kind, very sweet and extremely smart” Posted: 09 Sep 2011 09:58 AM PDT These are photos of Nicole Richie at a Fashion's Night Out event in LA. I'm assuming she's wearing one of her own designs, right? Designers stopped doing these 1970s remakes shortly after Sienna Miller stopped making "boho-chic" happen circa 2005. It's not that I always hate 1970s stuff, or that some ladies can't pull off the boho look - I'm just tired of Nicole trying to make the boho thing happen. I don't think it's a good look for her, I don't think it's flattering for her, and she makes clothes look cheap, so instead of thinking "Nouveau Boho Is Happening!" I think "God, did she buy that tacky crap at WalMart?" Yesterday, Us Weekly published a story that I took as gospel. According to sources, Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie haven't been getting along at all on the set of their new reality show, Fashion Star. Us Weekly's report came after other tabloids reported similar tiffs between the two women, and honestly, why wouldn't I believe that Nicole is a total bitch to Jessica? Nicole loves to stir the pot. Nicole loves to be the Queen Bee. Nicole loves to put girls in their place. But Nicole also reads her own press, so later Thursday, she called into Ryan Seacrest's radio show and tried to convince us all that she and Jessica are tight:
[From People] Who are you going to believe, me or Nicole Richie? She's laying it on a bit thick, in my opinion. Which makes me suspicious that Nicole really is being mean to Jessica… behind Jess's back. We'll see.
