Pitbull Settles Paternity Suit Out Of Court! Posted: 11 Sep 2011 12:40 PM PDT Glad to see this was resolved! Pitbull was reportedly being sued by his babymama Barbara Alba - with whom he has a nine-year-old daughter - because she felt as though the $3,000 she with which he was providing her without any formal court order was not enough, has settled with her once again out of court! According to Alba's lawyer, Jason Setchen:
Wow! You don't hear about that too often! So glad that they were able to make it work without a court battle! It's always so important to think of the kids in these situations! Here's hoping that others in similar situations can take a page out of his book! [Image via WENN.] |
Posted: 11 Sep 2011 12:20 PM PDT Personally, we wouldn't want to celebrate someone's deplorable behavior as a drug-addicted abuser of women, but apparently, that's exactly what went down at Comedy Central's Roast of Charlie Sheen! Roast-master Seth McFarlane hosted the event, which drew in the likes of Brooke Mueller, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Slash, Richard Kind, Michael Boatman, Kristy Swanson, Joe Francis, Kristin Cavallari, Corbin Bernsen, and Marty Singer, while roasters included Jon Lovitz, Jeffrey Ross, William Shatner, Mike Tyson, Steve-O, Amy Schumer, Patrice O'Neal, Anthony Jeselnik, and Kate Walsh. Here are some HIGHlights:
Yeah. Yuck. And Sheen himself concluded:
Yeah. That's the understatement of the century. Personally, we think that his issues are better suited for a rehab center with intense therapy, but we guess this is only industry where they instead land on a television special for lampooning by comedians. Sigh. Well - here's hoping he can stay away from the crack pipe - and all of his other "fun." So sad. |
The Epidemic Spread! Contagion Tops The Box Office! Posted: 11 Sep 2011 11:40 AM PDT We guess a lot of people wanted to see Gwyneth bite it! Ha! Ensemble bat-swine-flu disaster flick Contagion topped the box office this weekend, debuting with an estimated $23.1 million from 3,222 locations, including 254 in IMAX, and pushing The Help into the second spot! Can't say we're surprised! A well-made, well-acted thriller with an all-star cast? Great way to start out the autumn movie season! Wonder if anything else will be able to top it! |
Posted: 11 Sep 2011 11:20 AM PDT We couldn't think of a more appropriate tribute to those who lost their lives so tragically ten years ago. Please watch Paul Simon, of Simon & Garfunkel, perform a heartwrenching and somber acoustic performance of the classic Sound of Silence at Ground Zero today, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center (above). Powerful. Moving. And undeniably beautiful. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who lost a loved one that day. May they R.I.P. and always be remembered. |
Presidents Bush And Obama Remember The Lives Lost At The 9/11 Memorial At Ground Zero. Posted: 11 Sep 2011 11:00 AM PDT
- Mayor Michael Bloomberg, National September 11th Memorial ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the attacks at the World Trade Center, Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, in New York. The names of all 2,983 victims of the attacks in New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania have been etched in bronze into black stone surrounding two reflecting pools in the footprints of the Twin Towers. May they never be forgotten. |
The Gleeks Are Going To Go Balls-To-The-Wall Over These New Promo Posters! Posted: 11 Sep 2011 10:40 AM PDT The last person with whom we'd want to play dodgeball is Sue Sylvester! But unfortunately, it seems like the cast of Glee is doing EXACTLY that in the latest promotional posters for the upcoming third season of the smash FOX series! Check out all four versions featuring all of your favorite members of New Directions (above and below)! Oh boy! We see that SOMEONE is out of his Dalton Academy uniform! We wonder what THAT means! Hehe! SO exciting! The anticipation is killing us! What do U think? Are U looking forward to the new season of Glee? |
Ellen To Produce New NBC Comedy Starring Portia! Posted: 11 Sep 2011 10:20 AM PDT She's keeping her lady employed! How sweet! NBC has officially picked up a new comedy pilot from Ellen DeGeneres' production company, which is set to star her wife, Portia de Rossi! Currently untitled, the project will be written by Samantha Who's Don Todd, while being executive produced by Ellen, and the story focuses on the lives of two warring sisters! Nice! We're just excited to see Portia back doing series comedy! That's where she really shines! Can't wait to check this one out! [Image via WENN.] |
Cliff Robertson Has Passed Away. Posted: 11 Sep 2011 09:40 AM PDT Very sad news. Cliff Robertson, best known for his Academy Award winning role in the 1968 film Charly, and more recently, as Uncle Ben in the Spider-Man films, died yesterday at the age of 88. Strangely enough, he was also a certified pilot on and was in the air, flying a private plane over New York City this very morning ten years ago in 2001. He was a truly gifted actor, and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts go out to his friends, family, and loved ones during this impossibly difficult time. May he R.I.P. [Image via WENN.] |
Justin Timberlake And Gwyneth Paltrow For The Win! Take Home 2011 Creative Arts Emmys! Posted: 11 Sep 2011 09:20 AM PDT Well-deserved on both counts! Justin Timberlake and Gwyneth Paltrow were among the winners of this year's Creative Arts Emmys yesterday, with the singer being the recipient of not only guest actor in a comedy series for his stint on Saturday Night Live, but for the original music and lyrics to his "Justin Timberlake monologue from the same show - and obviously, the actress' guest starring role as substitute teacher Holly Holiday on the smash series Glee!
