J Hud's Family Trial Judge Bans Cell Phones From Court

Jennifer Hudson's judge has had enough with technology.

Judge Charles Burns has banned the use of cell phones during the family murder trial of William Balfour.

While reporters were originally allowed to text and tweet updates on the proceedings, the judge had to shut it down after too many interruptions and violations, namely too many phones ringing during the hearing.

Really?! How hard is it to put a phone on silent?!?!?!

Though Tweets did not cause any violations, Twitter has been banned from the court as well, along with email, after one journalist just wouldn't cut it out with the tap-tap-tapping on his mobile.

The phone ban takes place Thursday.

No more play by play, but we'll still be well informed as this trial continues.

Tyler Perry Breaks Media Silence On Studio Fire

As reported earlier, Tyler Perry's digs in the ATL were set ablaze late last night.

While originally everything was hush hush, the director/writer's camp has released a statement to clarify what went down at Tyler Perry Studios

It reads:

Atlanta firefighters responded immediately to a fire which damaged the backlot façade of one of the buildings at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta. We are grateful that there were no injuries, and that 99 percent of the damage is limited to the backlot facade.

Mr. Perry wishes to express his heartfelt thanks to the Atlanta fire department for their professionalism in their quick response and limiting the damage.

Short and sweet! Luckily, no one got hurt in the blaze.

Lindsay Lohan And Ali Take On The Big Apple!

Looks like Lindsay Lohan and little sister Ali spent even MORE quality sister bonding time in NYC yesterday!

The two were snapped heading into the Greenwich Hotel, with Ali being a good sister and helping distract the paps from Lindsay, who was CLEARLY trailing behind! LOLz!

Nice try...??? Ha!

We are really glad the girls seem to be getting closer and realize that family IS important!

LiLo, enjoy this free time while you have it, because Liz & Dick's production start date of June 4 is just about a month away...and soon, it'll be back to work you go!!

And Ali, gurl, we know you are a fashion model and all, but we hope you are taking care of yourself and being healthy. That's all we're going to say -- be healthy.

Daniel Radcliffe Teams With Jon Hamm For UK Miniseries About Russian Doctors!

Oh man. It's like two people on the opposite ends of the HAWTTIE spectrum meeting in the middle!

In the immortal words of Hannah Montana, it's "the best of both worlds!"

Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm have reportedly signed on to appear in a four-part drama series in the UK, which will focus on Russian doctors after the First World War.

And apparently, they'll be playing the SAME character - just at different ages!

A source explains:

"This is a great role for Daniel and he's pretty excited about the prospect of working with Jon. He's a big Mad Men fan and feels he can learn a lot from Don. But Jon knows all about Daniel's qualities, too, so he'll also be doing some learning."

Damn! We were hoping they'd play BOYFRIENDS!

LOLz! We kid but not really!

This actually sounds like a pretty inneresting story, and they're both more than capable actors, so we're excited to see them take on this kind of role!

Can't wait to check it out!

According to new reports, Gwen Stefani will reportedly host X Factor's second season for around $7 million dollars. She takes over for Steve Jones who was dropped from the cast of the breakout show in January.

Get it, girl!!

There's been a flurry of X Factor news and speculation this week, with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato (but not Miley Cyrus) replacing aging stars Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger at the judges' table.

These days, Simon racks up more celebrity notches on his bedpost than Warren Beatty!!

At least THESE girls won't steal his wallet and laptop! LOLz!!

Apparently Simon worries star collecting is his best option to stay afloat. A source close to him revealed:

Nahh, he's too in love for that to happen, but he could end up behind bars if he's not careful!

Shortly after Tennessee fuzz caught him green-handed in a Nashville hotel, North Carolina police busted him too!

It happened right after his Winston-Salem concert Tuesday night. They found 11.39 grams of marijuana in his tour bus, gave him a citation, and let him go. But he has to make it back for a court date scheduled later this year.

Srsly, Wiz... ya gotta be careful!! Think of the wedding!!!

So much for waiting this time around!!

Then again, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been friends for YEARS ... and they've been (speculated to be) "friends with benefits" for a while too - just ask Amber Rose!!

So now that a source has come forward to reveal the two are about to get their ring shopping on, we're only somewhat baffled.

They're so serious, she's happy to book more fights just to be with him. Hello! As soon as she was done with the White House Correspondents' Dinner, she flew right back to NYC for a Broadway date!

Oh... and get this... she's even planning on touring with him and Jay-Z this summer!!

She wants to be with him as much as possible. They really know and love each other.

Just don't plan on her and Beyonce becoming bestiez anytime soon, ha!!
