Last night, Lil' Mo was spotted backstage before her performance at a Maya Angelou Tribute in DC last night. The performance was part of a gala that Dr. Maya Angelou and Common were hosting on behalf of the See Forever Foundation’s annual fundraiser supporting the Maya Angelou Schools.

See the pics inside and candids of Diddy strolling through Beverly Hills.... Rihanna was swarmed by fans as she headed back to her NYC hotel after taping a promo for SNL. The singer will perform on SNL Saturday night with host Eli Manning. Also, she posted on Facebook, "Rihanna Navy you did it! You helped Rih break the record for VEVO's most video views in 24 hrs with "Where Have You Been!"

| ON THE SET: Nas Includes Daughter Destiny In "Daughters" Vid + More Posted: 03 May 2012 06:02 PM PDT After his babay mama Carmen Bryan popped off about his song "Daughters" being disrespectful to their daughter Destiny, Nas seems to have brought Ms. Destiny to his video shoot. Pics inside, plus DJ Khaled and crew shooting "Take It To The Head" inside... The almost-18-year-old Destiny Jones seems to be cool with her dad's new song about her mess-ups and his fathering skills. Because Instagram pics show she was on the set of the "Daughters" video just a few days ago with her pops Nas, stylist June Ambrose & director Chris Robinson. Carmen went off about the song "Daughters" last week saying it was disrespectful and portrayed their daughter in a false light. But maybe the almost adult Destiny believes otherwise. Because she will likely be making a cameo in the video. She also tweeted today how much she loves living with daddy Nas saying, "Love livin wit dad! He knows how to shop!!!lol" Carmen did say he needed to spend more time with her...

Who's going to be hitting the stage one of the biggest summer concerts in NYC? Check out who was just announced to join Rick Ross & Nicki Minaj on stage for Hot 97's Summer Jam. Plus MMG's new music vid...
As the summer approaches, Hot 97 is preparing for their annual Summer Jam and so far, it features the best of the best in hip hop music. The station recently announced Nicki Minaj (rumored to be the headliner), Rick Ross, J. Cole, and Big Sean among the performers. They will be joined on stage by a host of artists like Waka Flocka Flame, French Montana, Maino, Tyga, 2 Chainz, Mavado, Young Jeezy, Trey Songz, Wale, Meek Mill, and DJ Khaled. The concert goes down on Sunday, June 3, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. There will also be a Festival Village stage featuring A$AP Rocky, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Big K.R.I.T., and Fred the Godson.
And speaking of Ricky, featuring his Maybach Music Group protégés Wale and Meek Mill, T-Pain joins Rick Ross on the latest MMG single "Bag Of Money." Watch the laid back video for the club track here:

At least that's what the New York Association of Black Journalists says. Thanks to penning her own Essence cover story last year, she's been award first place in the Association's Arts & Entertainment category for their upcoming Awards & Scholarship event.
Deets inside, plus her hubby Jay-Z rolling up to Youtube to surprise guests at their Upfronts... When Beyonce penned her own "Eat Play Love" cover story for the July 2011 issue of Essence magazine, the literary world took notice. Her first hand workaholic account of taking nine months off to simply live, have fun & travel with her loved ones must have inspired many. NYABJ will award her a first place prize in their Arts & Entertainment category at their 24th Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet on May 15.
The Banquet takes place at the historic Audubon Ballroom, now known as the Malcolm X & Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center. Check out excerpts from Beyonce's piece HERE and her spread HERE.

| Swizz Beatz & Alicia Kiss To $100K For The Bronx Charter School, Carmelo, LaLa & Rocsi Celebrate Too Posted: 03 May 2012 01:04 PM PDT Swizz Beatz pulled out all the stops, alongside wife Alicia Keys, at Wednesday night's fourth annual Charity Art Auction. The artsy producer and his celebrity friends raised over $100,000 for Arts and Academic Programming for the Bronx Charter School. Pics of The Anthonys, Rocsi and more inside....
$100K definitely is something to kiss to. Swizz Beatz and Bronx Charter School for the Arts auctioned off art at New York’s hotspot Marquee on Wednesday. And celebs like wife Alicia Keys, Carmelo Anthony, La La Vazquez-Anthony, Rick Ross, Big Sean (pictured below), Melanie Fiona, Rocsi Diaz, French Montana, Jason Pierre-Paul and Terrell Thomas of the New York Giantsall came out to help the money raising efforts. Celebs & guests, while sipping on Ciroc & chowing down on hors d’oeuvres, participated in silent and live auctions featuring original art work by Bronx Arts elementary student artists. There was a presentation of 20 new ESP electric/acoustic guitars, donated to the school by the Traveling Guitar Foundation. And an autographed, original Rolling Stones, electric guitar was auctioned and sold for $5,000. Swizz Beatz and Big Sean rocked the crowd during the post-auction party. Alicia looked cute while showing off the artwork. Swizzy's son Kasseem, Jr. was front and center with daddy. NY Knick Carmelo Anthony spent his off-night with his wife LaLa for the cause: Look at lil Jr. with the ladies. Rocsi's rocking a Helmut Lang dress by the way. Melanie Fiona looked cute as usual.

Listen to Kanye's latest track inside, what Kim K. said about his "wardrobe malfunction," and find out about Heather Headley in "The Bodyguard" in London. On a new track called "I Don't Like," Kanye West responds to explosive rumors that he was once physically abusive towards his former fiance, designer Alexis Phiefer. The pair became engaged in 2006 after four years together, but their relationship didn't last and they parted ways in 2008. And apparently, it wasn't just his work schedule that crushed the relationship....there was also his ego AND Kim Kardashian. Hmm....doesn't she ALWAYS come up in the mix. Someone close to Alexis revealed in an In Touch Weekly article that an argument got physical when Alexis confronted Kanye about looking at a naked photo of HER friend Kim K. Messy....... But of course Kanye wants you to know this NEVER happened as he raps, "A girl will run her mouth only out of spite, but I'll never hit a woman in my life." You decide........
And speaking of Kim & 'Ye, Kim says Kanye's "pants falling" were a wardrobe malfunction. Story We called it.
And in London........ Heather Headley recently talked about her upcoming role in "The Bodyguard" which she will open on London's West End in December. "It's going to be the greatest challenge of my life, but I'm ready to step into those heels," said Heather. The new musical is due to open at London's Adelphi Theatre and will feature many of the Whitney classics we've come to love. But how will Heather prepare for such a high-profile role? She said, "You don't want people to compare you to Whitney. I didn't want it before and especially not now after her passing. I want people to come in and say this is Heather's version - this is Heather playing Rachel Marron and singing Whitney songs. I am always trying to find a way to make them my own but still acknowledge and keep the integrity of her music." The Bodyguard begins previews on 6 November and will have its opening night on 6 December. Who should have the lead role if it comes to Broadway?  |

In gold short shorts and sheer coral blouse, T. Mari kept it cute while yachting it up for rapper Hazel-E's b-day in Miami: The ladies drank Pharrell's Qream liquor and Quincy Brown (Al B. Sure's son) were all there to party too. Wonder if she's still trying to put out an album... And speaking of Teairra Mari, "Love & Hip Hop" is supposedly still set to return to VH1 for a third season. No word on if Teairra will return as a semi-cast member, especially seeing that her girl Emily isn't coming back.
