1.  Yesterday, Felicia "Snoop" Pearson was arrested and charged with conspiring to sell heroin and was one among 64 people charged in a joint state-federal persecution of a large east Baltimore drug gang.

Statement on the behalf of Felicia “Snoop” Pearson:

“Felicia Pearson has the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. In Felicia’s case, she feels that she is being targeted not only because of her portrayal of the memorable character “Snoop” On HBO’s critically acclaimed series THE WIRE; but also because of where she is from in Baltimore. Felicia grew up where high crime rates, drug use and violence are the norm. Felicia has overcome numerous hard ships in her lifetime. She does not expect these hardships to be used as an excuse for illegal activities. She has never stopped working on self improvement. Felicia has made strong statements against drugs and violence of any kind. She is focused on living a positive life-style encouraging youth and formerly incarcerated women to make positive choices for themselves. She is currently working on 3 films that are shooting in Philadelphia with Len Daniels and T-Town Music Group.

Eminem Pens An Open Letter To Detroit, Goes DIAMOND With Record Sales

Eminem can add another notch to his belt as his album, The Eminem Show, was declared diamond.  Get the deets inside plus see the open letter he penned for Detroit.

 

Eminem has reason to celebrate with the diamond certification of his Grammy Award winning album The Eminem Show by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).  The album has moved over 10 million records.  

Also,  Eminem recently penned an open letter to the city of Detroit which has been torn apart by crime, poverty and unemployment for years.



His letter begins,

"You took our country from its infancy into industry. And your name still carries with it, the idea of a nation. Built on steel, muscle and sweat. you became a city that carried a country," Eminem said. "Who know that nothing is accomplished without hard work, without sacrifice. When you hurt, we hurt..."

Vigil Planned As Asheley Jewell Remains In Critical Condition

A vigil has been planned for Asheley Jewell, the 15-year-old daughter of the late A.J. Jewell, ex-fiance of "Real Housewives of Atlanta"'s Kandi Burruss,  wounded in an apparent road rage shooting.  Details inside...

 

A vigil for Asheley Jewell, the 15-year-old shot in the head during a road rage shooting, has been announced for this weekend.  According to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, as Asheley remains in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital, the vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at O'Reilly Auto Parts, 5549 Old National Highway in College Park.
 

"The vigil is a step toward healing a family victimized by senseless violence," said Jewell's cousin, attorney Ebony Phillips. "It is also a call for justice in hopes that someone will come forward with invaluable information about this case. Although nothing can undo the events of March 5, 2011, the family is hopeful that justice will prevail."
