The Bachelorette's Weatherman Is Always A Bridesmaid

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 11:05 AM PST

Do you remember Jonathan Novak – “The Weatherman” from the last season of The Bachelorette? He was the slightly neurotic contestant who kept picking fights with the other housemates. And when he finally got a chance to kiss Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky during a challenge, he blew it. Rough! Well, now he’s the understudy for Skating With The Stars, Dancing With The Stars‘ knock-off cousin.  And what does that mean? He never made it on TV. Rough x 2.

So now he’s doing interviews about how he was never on the show. Good times. That isn’t sad at all!

Today he tells Radar:

"When they asked me to do it, my first thought was 'awesome.’”

Sure. Maybe he’d even get on TV again.

"I figured if no one was injured on the ice, at least Vince Neil might get alcohol poisoning and they'd need me.”

Hahaha! Too bad Vince Neil can hold his liquor. But at least there’s always Radar to give an interview too:

"It was disappointing to work so hard and not actually do the show but I feel lucky to have trained with an amazing Olympic medalist and coach and learn a new sport.

"If they asked me to do it again next season, I wouldn't hesitate."

Apparently that Weatherman gig isn’t as fulfilling as it seems. But the saddest part?

We may never get to see him make this face:

Daily WTF: Oprah Riding A Kangaroo. On A Cake.

Posted: 18 Dec 2010 10:39 AM PST

Oprah Winfrey is currently in Australia, and this weekend attended a taco party at her friends’ house. According to TMZ, O arrived with some pricey bottles of Partida tequila. And her friends responded in kind. With a huge cake shaped like Oprah. Riding a kangaroo on what appears to be a huge pumpkin.

At first we thought the cake maker has slimmed Oprah down for posterity. But considering that she’s about four times the size of the famous Sydney Oprah House that’s also on the cake, that’s not really the case.

Parting Tweet: Diddy Straight Twitterbaiting

Damn, Diddy. We know that your viral marketing campaign for Last Train to Paris has been a little extreme, but asking people on Twitter to hashtag your album when they’re writing about literally anything else? That’s just straight Twitterbaiting. We do not approve. #LTTNOPE

Questionable Choices: Dudes In Ironic Plastic Sunglasses

Posted: 17 Dec 2010 01:52 PM PST

Fellows: What’s going on with the cheap ironic shades? Did we not get that trend out of our systems back in high school? Glee’s Darren Kriss was spotted out shopping in L.A. with a pair of neon glasses at rest atop his nose, a look he’s also sported on the red carpet. And 50 Cent tweeted a pic of himself in pink Lolita shades, which you can see after the jump:

Is this some sort of a statement against expensive sunglasses? While we agree with the sentiment, we’re not so keen on the method. How about no sunglasses at all? Especially when indoors. Yes. we’re looking at you, 50 — though you probably can’t see us through those damned heart-shaped lenses.

What do you think of this look? Let us know in the comments.
