Sunday Cute: Lollipops Aren’t Just For Owls Anymore

Posted: 22 Jan 2012 10:54 AM PST

Everyone knows you’re not suppose to give chocolate to dogs, but what are the rules about giving sugar highs to your other animals? This cat seems to be enjoying his sweet snack so I think the more pertinent question is, how many licks of a jolly-rancher pop will it take before your arm falls off? Because for all his enjoyment, that little kitty tongue isn’t putting much of a dent in that pop. Maybe his humans can hold the stick in shifts?

Daniel Radcliffe Kills One Fan Fantasy, Boosts Another

Posted: 22 Jan 2012 10:25 AM PST

In this post-Potter movie world, fans have a few things to hold on to. Fan fiction, a possible trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, and the idea that HP stars Emma Watson, Daniel Racliffe and Rupert Grint are all friends in real life, constantly hanging around a non-magical fire, with Emma assuring her two best guy friends that they’re still totally more attractive than Matthew Lewis.

But now Daniel, on an interview jag for his upcoming movie The Woman in Black revealed he and Emma might be close, but Rupert is not part of the group. He explained, “Emma and I text all the time but Rupert and I never text each other, we never see each other.”

So the Rupert-Daniel meet ups will be limited to Harry Potter reunions and fans’ imaginations. Disappointing, but at least we know Daniel and Emma are texting buddies, and we can speculate what kind of messages they’re tapping out to each other.

Hey Dan, don’t listen to them, you were soooo much better on Broadway then that Glee kid!

Thanks Em, and I don’t know why everyone kept going on about that Michelle chick in My Week With Marilyn, you were totally the star! I’m still cuter than Matt, right?

….Of course! TTYL!

Now if in his next interview he can just reveal a continuing feud with Tom Felton and an overwhelming urge to beat up Bonnie Wright’s boyfriend…

Now It’s Really Over: Katy Perry Unfollowed Russell Brand On Twitter

Posted: 21 Jan 2012 03:06 PM PST

There are a lot of ways to let your ex know your relationship is really over. Leaving a box of his things on his doorstep. Posting Facebook pictures of you and a new guy. Since Katy Perry is a pop star, she severed her ties to her soon to be ex-husband Russell Brand in a very public way, unfollowing him on Twitter.

@katyperry no longer cares if @rustyrockets is going to be on a talk show or what his thoughts on a new movie are. Following the details of someone’s life they chose to put up online is the most innocuous form of cyber-stalking there is, and Katy can’t even be bothered with that.

Russell, however is still keeping up with Katy’s life via Twitter; she’s one of only seventy-eight people he deems important enough to keep up with their tweets. Looks like someone is having a little trouble letting go.

Watch Some Unlikely Hugs For National Hugging Day

Posted: 21 Jan 2012 01:35 PM PST

Today is National Hugging Day! There are so many ways you can celebrate. Be neighborly and go door to door, introducing yourself to everyone in your building with a giant hug. Randomly wrap your arms around that co-worker you’ve always had a crush on. Hug your cat you’ve decided not to declaw. Or if you just want to play it safe, watch a bunch of animals get and give hugs with varying levels of success. It’s the celebratory plan with the least danger of getting you a restraining order.

Adorable outcome, but as a general rule if a giant lion lunges for you you should probably run away.

Before the hugging began they made sure to give their dog a very large dinner, just in case.

The dog getting some cat love isn’t angry, he’s just been really getting into Twilight.

Etsy Round-up: Charm Bracelets

Posted: 21 Jan 2012 12:06 PM PST

Charm bracelets can be a pretty way to show off details about yourself. You could spend years picking out the perfect charms on trips and getting them as gifts. Or you could let an Etsy shop owner do all the work and have a finished bracelet in a week.
