Right in time for Father's Day, Nas dropped by "106 & Park" to perform his "Daughters" single which tackles his relationship with his daughter Destiny. He also revealed why he participated in Ice T's documentary Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap. And when discussing his Life Is Good album cover and why he posed with Kelis’ green wedding dress, he said, “This right here shows the ending of one chapter, but what’s the next chapter gonna be? Life is good regardless. You gotta keep your head up and keep it moving.” Watch Nas' performance of "Daughters" here:
Watch his interview here: In new music videos........... Melanie Fiona has dropped the visual for her "This Time" single featuring J. Cole. The track appears on her MF Life album. She explained how J. Cole ended up in the Colin Tilley-directed video saying, “I wanted some male energy on this record. I reached out to Cole and we had already done a song with Wale ['Beautiful Bliss'] and we all just really had great chemistry on the record. I was a fan of J. Cole. We met at the very, very beginning of his career, so we’ve kind of come up together.”
Also.............. "90210" and Red Tails actor turned singer (but he hasn't completely abandoned acting) Tristan Wilds has released a visual for his "Cold" single. The video treatment was written and directed by Erik Reinert and Tristan himself. You feelin' it?

Posted: 15 Jun 2012 11:12 AM PDT Meagan Good chatted it up with her homie DJ Whoo Kid recently where she dished on her career, how she thinks like a man in Hollywood and kicking it with Khloe Kardashian back in the day. Get the deets inside....
Meagan Good chatted with Shade 45's Sirius XM station host DJ Whoo Kid where she discussed her upcoming show on NBC "Infamous" and talked about the super success of Think Like A Man. She said it was good for women to think like a man in business situations. But when it comes to romance, you need to still be able to maneuver like a woman. "We have to respects ourselves differently then guys do and it is kind of a double standard." She joked that she hopes to age as well as Vanessa Williams and remain youthful and gorgeous for a long time. She also revealed her beauty regimen...and it's super simple. Clearacil facial cleaner and pads and Lucerne lotion. She swears that all she ever uses on her face. "I just try to keep it real simple and take care of yourself." She also revealed that she and DJ Whoo Kid, who is part of the Shady/G-Unit click, have been cool for years. And along with Khloe Kardashian (all makes sense now doesn't it?), they all toured with G-Unit 9 years ago. Hmmm.....they stories they must have. Especially since neither Meagan or Khloe were hitting the stage to do guest rap spots or anything. Meagan did appear in 50's "21 Questions" vid. She added that you would be surprised at all the celebs who used to kick it with each other before they all became super famous. And she even included Tupac in the mix. Can you guess the celebrity dad of this singer and actress who just completed a photoshoot for the new issue of BE Magazine (where these pics are from) to promote her new music? Here's a hint, he's a well-respected producer and actor who has played a comedic action hero and a tv dad. The very talented you lady above first made a name for herself doing hilarious impressions of Beyonce on "YouTube" before she began releasing her own music. She's now poised to become a true artist in her own right, and she'll have the help of her famous dad who's already known for his "Parenting." So who is he?
Wait for it........... She's Skye Townsend and she's the daughter of actor/producer Robert Townsend.
And.......
Skye covers BE Magazine's 40th Web Issue celebrating all of her talents. In the mag, she reveals her next steps in the industry saying, "I'm working on my first film and looking into another. I should be acting in my first independent film at the end of the year." Also, "On a serious note, my next video "Go Fish!" (ft. Karina Pasian & Chris O'Bannon) covers physical abuse and unhealthy relationships. The video is an aggressive black and white action filled video. It's meant to encourage, enlighten and educate anybody who may not have the strength to move forward." "Without a label, I've already worked with some of the biggest producers in the game who are responsible for helping me find myself as an artist. Eric Hudson, Warryn Campbell, Soundz, Kevin Randolph, Mike Ciro, Rock City, Remo “The Hitmaker” Green, Omen, & Young Yonny..." She's a fab chick! |
