Ciara, Mel B and LaLa Anthony were spotted on the West Coast living their fab lives.  See the candids inside....

 

"Sweat" singer Ciara was seen leaving the Marie's Nail Salon in West Hollywood yesterday after a workout.  Chick keeps her bod in tip top shape.

The body conscious singer tweeted about her day saying, 'PUTTIN DAT WORK IN! #SWEAT!'

She's still prepping the release of her One Woman Army album.

Also in West Hollywood.....

CiCi's BFF LaLa Anthony (hiding from the cameras) was also spotted heading to the nail salon yesterday.   

Earlier in the week, LaLa got some free time when Aunt CiCi took Kiyan toy shopping.

Former Spice girl Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte dined at Mr.Chow last night. Loving her white rosette detailed strapless cocktail dress.

Recently, the "X Factor Australia" host held a dress auction that raised $4250 for charity.

Maxwell FORCED To Cancel US Tour + Jennifer Hudson SET TO APPEAR On "Smash"

R&B singer Maxwell has cancelled his US tour due to a vocal cord injury. Get the deets inside and find out about Jennifer Hudson appearing on "Smash."

 

Bad news!  R&B crooner Maxwell was forced to cancel his US tour after developing vocal swelling and hemorrhaging.  Under doctor's orders, the singer will undergo treatment and spend the upcoming weeks resting his voice.

He released a statement saying "I’ve temporarily damaged my voice. I’ve had issues before during other tours, but was able to power through. I’ve been strongly advised to rest and undergo treatment.”

The singer added that he plans to hit the road when his new album, blackSUMMERS’night, is released later this year.

 

And on television......

Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning actress-singer Jennifer Hudson has signed on for a multi-episode arc on NBC’s “Smash.” Jen's first episode will be the second-season premiere where she'll portray Veronica Moore, a Tony Award-winning Broadway star who impacts the lives of Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty).

"We're thrilled to have Jennifer Hudson coming to ‘Smash,’” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment. “This series is a showcase for some of the best musical talent in the business and that's a fitting description for Jennifer Hudson. Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it."

The show's executive producer, Steven Spielberg, said: “First ‘Dreamgirls,’ now ‘Smash.’ I have no doubt Jennifer will continue to deliver even more inspiration to the audience responsible for giving us a second season on NBC. It's wonderful to be reunited with her at DreamWorks Television and NBC.”

This summer, Jennifer will begin production on two new films, Lullaby and The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete.  This chick is about her gigs.  Not mad at that.  Congrats Jenny!

Before you gag, it wasn't a pic snapped by either Beyonce or Kim Kardashian that Kim would have inevitably posted on her own Timeline the next second.  But pics from a fan who caught the two standing next to each other at Jay-Z & Kanye West's Watch The Throne stop in Birmingham, UK tonight (Friday).

Beyonce may not have posed specifically for a pic with Kim K. (wouldn't be surprised if either Kanye or Jay actually did put the lock on that ish), but a random fan spotted them in the audience and snapped a couple of pics.  And they just popped up on Twitter.  Kim all of a sudden acts shy about a photo-op?  Oh.  Never seen Beyonce hide in pics at any of her hubby's other concerts...but there's a first time for everything.

Looks like somebody tried to hide when she saw all those cameras flashing.  Not mad at that....

Sidenote: We see you back there too ex-in law Daniel Sr.  Interesting....

We guess all that hard work of kickin' it with LaLa, Serena and Bey's cousin Angie finally paid off.  When was the last time Kim hung out with her "besties" anyway?  It's obvious those publicity tools are no longer needed.  On to the next.  Interesting...

TV FAB: BET's "The Game" Casts New Male Lead...Jay Ellis

Industry sources have revealed that actor Jay Ellis has landed a leading role on BET's "The Game" as its newest male character. Get the deets inside....

We told you earlier that Lauren London signed on as the new female lead for BET's "The Game," and now Deadline Hollywood has revealed that 31-year-old actor Jay Ellis will also be hitting the field next season.

Jay, who had previous roles on “Hart of Dixie” and “NCIS,” will play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbrook, a.k.a. Blue, a star running back from the Ivy League who rubs some of the Sabers the wrong way.  

Though plot details are under wraps, Jay's character is expected to have a relationship with Lauren's 'former child star' character on the show.  Jay, himself, is a military brat who lived all over the world with his parents while growing up.  And also went to Concordia University on a basketball scholarship.  So it seems like his real life experiences could help his on-screen character.

Rapper turned reality star Rasheeda (who has an 11-year-old son with her husband/manager Kirk) covers the latest issue of ROLLING OUT where she dishes on "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" and rumors that she's a grandmother!  Get the deets inside and see Rick Ross on the cover of XXL.

 

Atlanta rapper Rasheeda proves she's ready for her closeup in the latest issue of ROLLING OUT.  Starring on VH1's hit "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," the reality star talked about keeping drama out of her life, her business ventures and the rumor about her being a grandmother.  Check out the highlights:

Outside of rap, you have so many other business ventures. Can you tell us a little about that?
I do have my website, which is www.imbossy.com … It’s an apparel website that I launched about a year and a half ago. I’m really excited about it. It’s doing extremely well, and I’m always rocking my stuff. So if you want the trendy, fly and fashionable stuff, then you need to come to my website. I’m also doing television, of course, and working on the new album, Boss Chick Music that will be dropping really soon. I shot the video to the song “Marry Me.” I also shot the video for the song “Legs to the Moon” featuring Kandi [Burruss], so I just have a lot that I’m juggling right now. One thing that a lot of people might not know is that I get a lot of my songs placed on television, movies and video games. Those things are doing extremely well, so I just feel extremely blessed to be able to wake up every day and do what I love.


With the show and new music in your life, there have also been reports that you are now a grandmother. Is there any truth to that?
Let me tell you this; all I have is an 11-year-old son, and that’s it. So he better not be shooting anything out that thang [laughs]. I will say this, though; if you stay tuned to “Love & Hip Hop,” you can see how all of that unfolded.

 

We viewed the first episode of the show. While some of the characters seem to be embroiled in drama, you remain pretty drama free. Was that intentional?
Well the cameras followed me, so what you see is what you get. And to be honest with you, I really don’t have time to be bickering with no b—–. That’s just not where I’m at. I am too focused on making money, keeping the bills paid, and making sure that my family is ok. I mean don’t get me wrong, I understand that a lot of that it good for TV … but at the end of the day, I just really want people to look at my situation and see the importance of family, and know that you can raise a child as mom and dad … together. We don’t see a lot of family structure in the black community, so I hope that people can look at my husband and I, and see that when they follow our story line.
