Carrie Underwood: Stop Comparing Me To Taylor Swift!

Seriously! They're wayyy different!

Just because Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are both country-poptarts doesn't mean they offer the same flavor! How stereotypical! Pfft!

And Carrie is absolutely tired of the comparisons!

When she's not busy fighting the hateful backlash to her gay marriage support, she's arguing her case for the differences between her and Swifty, saying:

"I'm a little bit older than she is and I feel like our music's completely different and if anyone tries to make any comparisons they really haven't listened to either one of us. Our songs are definitely different. She sings a little bit lighter sometimes and it's just a difference in our brand of country."

There you have it!

Swifty generally brings the raw softness, and Carrie brings the sassy toughness!

So don't make the mistake of comparing them again... 'less you want those cowboy boots walkin' all over you! ;)

Justin Bieber's First Night Of NBC Special Brings In Less Than Stellar Ratings

Poor Bieby!

Looks like Justin Bieber's first ever network special didn't do quite as well as expected last night.

Part one of the two-night concert-doc event drew in 3.3 million viewers overall, giving it a 0.9/3 rating. While over 3 million viewers isn't anything to be upset about, we KNOW Justin has more Beliebers than that!

Maybe they all gathered together for viewing parties...???

In terms of other concert specials, it seems Adele's Live In London on June 3 had a rating that was 47% higher than Bieber's All Around The World.

However, Adele DID have the help of her special premering on a Sunday, while Justin's aired Wednesday and will continue Thursday.

But don't worry, Beliebers -- there's always a second shot for part two, which airs TONIGHT on NBC at 8pm!

Let's make sure we get the Biebs the ratings he deserves for ALL his hard work these past few months!

One Direction Gets Kicked Out Of Las Vegas Casinos!

The One Direction boys may already be legal overseas but they aren't quite of age in the States!

It seems that during last week's show at the Planet Hollywood Theater in Vegas, 1D got BANNED from the casinos!

Womp, womp!

Harry, Liam and Niall are all 18, Zayn is 19 and Louis is 20 -- making it illegal for all of them to gamble and drink in the U.S.!

A source revealed:

"The boys were hoping to go wild in Vegas by boozing and gambling into the early hours. But security at every casino in town knew who the lads were and threw them out because the legal drinking and gambling age in the U.S. is 21."

Guess global fame and millions of fans can't get you everything! Ha!

Their fun timez in Vegas weren't completely ruined though...they just ended up returning to their $25,000-a-night Palms hotel suite, which included a basketball half court and hot tub!

Tough life! LOLz!

Johnny Depp Wants Amber Heard To Ride Him With Him!? Buys Her A Horse!?!

Giddy up!

Sounds like things are sizzlin' for Johnny Depp and bi-sexual vixen Amber Heard!!

We knew as soon as we saw those photos of Amber boarding his private plane that something was up! Now, this happened back in April, and Johnny had since denied any splittage in his and Vanessa Paradis' relationship... but clearly that was a facade! Ha!

So now we're hearing that Johnny has actually bought his Rum Diary co-star a horse! Apparently he really wants to ride with her! Perhaps as a prelude to something else? ;)

Welll... the two were very affectionate with one another during their promotional tour. And they have said some super sweet things about one another... like the time she said co-starring with him was the best experience of her life. Or the time he reportedly said laying eyes on her was like laying eyes on a classic movie star.

Only time will tell if this supposed fling is just a quick adventure or something serious! But in the meantime, peruse the photos below to investigate their affections!

And obviously, we were RIGHT!

For the second week in a row, Canadian cutie pie Carly Rae Jepsen has once again remained in the number one spot of the Billboard Hot 100 with her smash single, Call Me Maybe, after selling 292,000 downloads this week alone!

Meanwhile, Gotye and Kimbra remain steadfast behind her in the number two seat with their equally catchy collaboration, Somebody I Used To Know, while Maroon 5 comes in at number three with Payphone and Katy Perry leapt from nine to four with her latest, Wide Awake!

Well done, gurl! Let's see how long your reign lasts this summer!

Details Emerge About WHY Ann Curry Is Leaving Today

And sadly, it doesn't sound like it was her choice.

We heard that Ann Curry was leaving her position as Matt Lauer's co-anchor on The Today Show, but now sources are suggesting she actually got the boot!

NBC has been looking for a replacement for at least two weeks and even offered a nice, big contract to former Today anchor Meredith Vieira.

Unfortunately, she's not innerested in returning to the show she left behind for bigger, better things, while Lauer reportedly isn't innerested in continuing to work with Curry. On top of decreasing ratings as a reason for her removal, Lauer and the network weren't fans of her performance.

Aww! We thought she was doing just fine, but our opinion doesn't really matter and she'll be gone by the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Since Vieira has passed on the job, we hear that the frontrunner is co-host of the third hour of Today, Savannah Guthrie.

Hopefully she doesn't get promoted only to be fired too...

The Olsen Twin took her much older boyfriend, Olivier Sarkozy, to a benefit in NYC Tuesday -- and sources say there was LOTS of PDA!

A witness dishes that during the event the former child star and the former French president's younger brother:

"Couldn't keep their hands off each other."

(Cue Full House audience "ooooh!")

Our source adds that:

"The couple avoided photographers but then were seen smooching at the gala."

Wowzers!

It appears these two are really really in lust love!

Bristol Palin BOMBS! New Show TANKS In The Ratings!!!

Practically NO ONE watched Bristol Palin's new reality series, Bristol Palin: Life's A Tripp!

The show, which debuted on Lifetime Tuesday night, only managed to scrape up 726,000 total viewers.

You know what might have hurt it? Airing the show in the SAME timeslot at MTV's Teen Moms! Not so smart, television for women!

Dance Moms, the show that came on right before Sarah Palin's daughter's got more than decent ratings. Over 1.1 million Lifetime viewers said "hell naw," and changed the channel when Life's A Tripp's premiere came on.

Perhaps this is just bad karma.

That's So Raven star, Kyle Massey, is suing the show's producers claiming the show was HIS idea.

With less than a million people watching, Kyle might not want anyone to know this was his idea! LOL!

Look on the bright side Bristol, there's always a chance next week's episode will do better!

Carrie Underwood Responds To Homophobic Backlash!

As one of the most sparkling queens of country music, Carrie Underwood has a good chunk of her fan-base living in the bible-belt.

So when she decided to publicly support gay marriage, she endured some of the most fiery backlash we've ever seen!

It's funny too. Most of the people condemning Carrie used religion in their reasoning, yet it was their fiery feedback that roared with hate.

After being called a "disgrace" and being accused of working with the devil, Carrie finally responded to all of their hell in a statement, saying:

"I was asked a difficult question in the last five minutes of an interview and I answered it the best way I knew how, and after that I do what I do and I love making music and I generally try to stay out of any kind of controversy.

The role-model word is really scary to me, because no matter what happens in your life, something you do, wear, say, sing, whatever—somebody somewhere is probably not going to like it too well.

I just really try hard to do what I do and try to be nice to people and make great music and if people think they can look up to that, that's wonderful. If not, that's OK too."

So classy!

She definitely understands love one another, that's for sure!

We're proud of you, gurl. Stay strong and don't back down! A little controversy means you've stood up for something you believe in.

And standing up for gay marriage doesn't harm anyone or hinder civil rights, so even better! Ha!

When Michelle Pfeiffer stopped by NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night, the actress rallied behind six red solo cups to play beer pong for the first time.

Although a newbie to the fraternal sport of choice, she wasn't too shabby. After Jimmy sunk a shot, she answered with a swish and a splash of her own.
