Prancer Is CLEARLY The Sassiest Reindeer Of All

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 08:00 PM PST

You know Dasher and Dancer and VixenComet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen … you even know the most famous reindeer of all in Santa Claus’s collection of flying reindeer — Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. But how well do you know Prancer? Well, wait ’til you find out.

A strange video of a man (I believe it’s a man) dressed up as a reindeer has made its way to the Internets and, well, I don’t really know what to say about it:

As far as I can tell, this cosplay video is meant to be enjoyed for posing purposes … AND NOTHING MORE. Um. Yeah. Just check out the clip and see for yourselves:

Ahem. Well, when Santa Claus makes his appointed rounds this Saturday night, make sure you keep an eye out for this sassy reindeer. Happy Holidays!

P!nk Is A Cute Mama-To-Be Bear

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 05:07 PM PST

Earlier today we got to see photos of celeb stylist and reality TV star Rachel Zoe doing a bit of shopping with her baby bump in tow and right now we get to see mama-to-be bear P!nk out and about doing Xmas shopping of her own with baby bump bumpin’.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Pink is certainly getting into the festive spirit. The 31-year-old singer, who is expecting her first child with husband Carey Hart, dressed her bump in a festive red top as she went Christmas shopping in Los Angeles. But, being the ever-eccentric star that she is, Pink also decided to accessorise her outfit with a huge furry panda hat. Pink, who believes she is having a little girl, spoke recently about her fears that she would turn into a ‘soccer mom’ once she extends her family. After watching a Christmas performance by a group of three-year-olds, Pink tweeted: ‘My heart hurts it was so damn adorable. I’m gonna b a soccer mom aren’t I? Shit!’ The So What singer also said she has already chosen names for her unborn baby, but husband Carey isn’t too happy with the options. She said: ‘My dad's name is James and my brother's name is Jason. Carey and I are both Irish. Jameson – we like whiskey. It's a no brainer!

OMG! P!nk is going to make the coolest mom ever. Love the hat, love her glow … love the idea of P!nk as a mommy :D

Ricky Martin Does ‘Attitude’ Magazine

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 02:57 PM PST

Ricky Martin, who just this week gave us our first look at the album artwork for his new album Música Alma Sexo, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Attitude magazine. Attitude is said to be the best selling gay magazine in the UK … and with cover features like this new one of Ricky, I can understand why.

In his coverstory interview, Ricky opens up about the kind of men that he finds attractive. While it’s natural for most people to be attracted to people sexually based on their … ahem, assets … it’s very refreshing to hear a gay man talk about the types of things he finds attractive in other men that have nothing to do with physicality. Here are a few of Ricky‘s Attitude photos and some excerpts from his interview:

Ricky Martin has revealed what traits he is attracted to in a man in an interview with Attitude magazine. The singer, who came out in March, explained that he likes self-confident men who are also not arrogant. He said: “I love witty. I love mental strength. Just being secure. With all the stuff I come with, you have to be someone who is sure of himself. That turns me on. “Somebody who is very sure of themselves without being arrogant – smart, witty, has a career. Somebody who is very open-minded about things. That’s what I love. Adventurous is the word.” Martin added that he is more cautious about romance since becoming a father. He explained: “I used to fall in love quickly. When you are young you are open to taking risks and not afraid of anything. “Now my priorities are different. I have children and they are the most important thing in my life. I’m in a relationship and I know how lucky I am.”

HMMM … okay, so mebbe what Ricky really means is that he is turned on by witty, mentally strong, secure, career-oriented HOT dudes ;) I mean … when you look like Ricky Martin, I’m guessing you get the pick of the litter. If Clay Aiken can pull dudes like THIS, I can only imagine the kind of dudes that Ricky manages to get. I can’t even express how happy I am that Ricky is out, proud and open to talking about his personal life in this way. Just hearing him talk about the simple things he finds attractive in other men deffo comes as comfort to those who are still closeted and scared. The best thing any person can do to be a good example to others is just to live one’s life as honestly as possible. Keep on livin’, Ricky! Enjoy the ride.

‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’s Technical Woes Get The Animated Treatment

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 01:35 PM PST

The industrious folks at Next Media responsible for all those timely and very entertaining animated news clips about the various scandals and foibles that celebrities have recently gotten themselves involved in, have turned their attention to the embattled Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

As usual, the clip chronicles the story pretty descriptively and offers its own brand of entertaining enlightenment and exaggeration. Check it out in full here:

I’m a fan of most of these hilarious Taiwanese videos … but I don’t think any of them made me laugh out loud as many times as this one did. The folks at Next Media have truly outdone themselves, don’tchathink?

Michelle Williams Opens Up About The Death Of Heath Ledger

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 01:20 PM PST

It has been a couple of years since the world suffered the sad loss of the brilliant Heath Ledger and this week, for the first time ever, Michelle Williams (the mother of his only child) opens up on Nightline about his death. Michelle appeared on the show to discuss and promote her new film with Ryan Gosling Blue Valentine and in the course of her conversation, she explained what it was like for her the year that Heath Ledger died.

Actress Michelle Williams says she still can’t find the meaning behind Heath Ledger’s death three years ago, in a rare interview talking about the late father of her child who died of a prescription overdose. Williams, who since the actor’s death in New York in January 2008, has remained mostly quiet in interviews about her former partner, told ABC news show “Nightline” this week she could understand why the public was curious about her grief, but still could not understand why Ledger died. “I’ve found meanings around the circumstance but the actual event itself still doesn’t have a … I can’t find a meaning for it,” she said with tears in her eyes. The 30 year-old actress, whose romance with Ledger blossomed on the set of “Brokeback Mountain” …, said she had found “meaning in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. “I can find a lot of meaning in that, but not in why,” she said. Williams had split with Ledger when he died but was still sharing duties raising their daughter. To deal with her grief, she said she read “The Year of Magical Thinking” by Joan Didion, the Pulitzer-Prize winning account of Didion’s year following the death of her husband. “In a strange way, I miss that year, because all those possibilities that existed then are gone,” Williams told ABC. “It didn’t seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door or could appear from behind a bush. It was a year of very magical thinking, and in some ways I’m sad to be moving further and further away from it.” She said that for a time, she pondered the notion that one’s life can change in an instant. “I got kind of obsessed with that for a while, before and after,” she said. “A lot of things died. There is a line from a book that gave me so much comfort and it said, “When you have truly lost everything, then at least you can become rich in loss’.”

I can’t even imagine what the pain of losing a loved one like this must feel like, and I am very lucky for it. Not that she ever needed to but it’s nice that Michelle is finally able and willing to talk about Heath. The old adage is true, time heals all wounds. And while I doubt that Michelle is totally healed, it sounds like she has been able to move forward in a healthy manner. Here is video of Michelle‘s interview on Nightline, her discussion of Heath begins at 5:12 (after the questions about whether or not Michelle is dating Ryan Gosling):

I have been a Michelle Williams fan for years, I’m so happy to see her looking and sounding so well. I am DYING to see Blue Valentine, that is for sure. What do y’all think of her interview on Nightline?

Xmas Prep

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 01:03 PM PST

I am happy to report that for the first time ever, David and I will be spending Xmas together. Yes, in the almost 5 years that we have been together, we have never been able to spend Xmas together because one or both of us jetted off across the country to be with our parents. Thru a series of circumstances, David decided to stay here in LA with me … and we are very much looking forward to spending our first Xmas together.

We spent part of our evening yesterday picking out decorations for the tiny little Xmas tree we bought. My hope is that we will buy special new ornaments for our tree as the years progress and as our trees get larger. To be honest, we aren’t planning anything lavish for our Xmas night together … but we are looking forward to spending some time celebrating the season as a couple ;)

Last night, I made my way out to the Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA to see the amazing trip hop artist Tricky in concert:

I’ve been a fan of Tricky for years and have seen him a few times before in concert. He did not disappoint. His gravelly voice was in fine form last night and the sold out house just loved every second he was on stage. Unfortch, he decided to keep the lights down real low so I wasn’t able to snap any photos … but the show was fantastic. Last night’s concert was my last show of 2010 … not a bad way to end a year of great shows, let me tell you.

Today … more Xmas prep … I wanna run out and get some stockings and candy canes … you know, the usual. I hope your Xmas prep is going well … since it’s the night before the night before Xmas, we are all running out of time ;)

Madonna & Brahim Zaibat Are STILL Going Strong

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 11:19 AM PST

It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen photos of Madonna and her younger toyboy Brahim Zaibat (not to be confused with her previous even younger toyboy Jesus Luz) so I was starting to think that Maddy had grown tired of babysitting this one and decided to move on to other pastures. It turns out that I was wrong … and that she and Brahim are still going strong and still creepin’ around.

If she is not is not prancing around the stage in lycra leotards she is sporting barely-there outfits on the red carpet. So it came as a surprise to see Madonna opting for a more mature look for a romantic dinner date with her 24-year-old boyfriend. Madonna, 52, and Brahim Zaibat were spotted leaving the Wolseley restaurant in London after enjoying a romantic dinner date. But after enjoying the meal the couple left the restaurant separately to avoid being photographed together. Witnesses spotted the unlikely couple leaving the swanky hotel eatery two minutes apart and they got in separate cars to head home. Looking like her 52-years the singer appeared from the restaurant looking tired. And Madonna, who usually opts for figure-hugging attire chose to cover up with a demure knee-length navy coat with fur trim and leather sleeves. She also wore opaque black tights and bound a scarf around her neck, wrapping up warm against the chilly winter weather, meaning not an inch of flesh was on show. Madonna sported the new look despite dining with her new beau who is 28 years her junior.

I’m not kidding when I said I had forgotten all about this guy … I mean, no offense Brahim, but he’s just not all that memorable. Still, Maddy appears to be smitten with him so … that’s all that matters. With these lovebirds carry their torrid affair well into 2011? We shall see … but Madonna, don’t forget … there are countless other young men out there to pillage, plunder and discard.

Hugh Jackman & Kids Run Out For Xmas Supplies

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 11:05 AM PST

In the past week or so, we’ve seen photos of the freshly injured Hugh Jackman running out for beer and running out for gardening supplies (both on different occasions). Today we see photos of Hugh and his children Oscar Maximilian and Ava Eliot running errands around town in Australia picking up a few last minute things for their Xmas celebration this weekend.

In addition to Hugh and the kids picking up Xmas things (I spy a fake Xmas tree, a tree stand and some garland), Hugh also took some time out of his bizzy schedule to hit the gym:

My guess is that live Xmas trees aren’t really all that prevalent in the dead of Summer in Oz so … a fake tree for the Jackmans it is! To be honest, there is nothing wrong with artificial trees … I had one growing up and David and I have one this year, so good for them. As for the gym photos, it took me a minute to figure out who Hugh reminded me of in these photos … and then it hit me. Doesn’t he look a bit like a cartoon sailor with a squinty eye and big arm muscles?

You put this man in a proper sailor suit and he could literally become Popeye the Sailor Man! Trust me, I’m not happy that Hugh injured his eye in that failed stunt on The Oprah Winfrey Show last week but … the squintiness helps with the Popeye look, no?

First Look: Paula Abdul’s ‘Live To Dance’

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 10:47 AM PST

Earlier this year there were reports going around that Paula Abdul was gettin’ ready to sign on and host a new version of the TV talent show Star Search. In fact, rumors were running rampant as to what Paula‘s next gig would be since she left American Idol a couple of years ago. Today, we know that she will be hosting her own competitive dance show on CBS called Live To Dance … and we also get our first look at the show.

After two years away from the judges table, Paula Abdul soon will be with her new competition series Live to Dance. Based on the trailer, her new show is more America’s Got Talent than American Idol. Unlike Idol, there’s is no age limit as pint-sized performers are seen competing against seniors. There are also groups mixed in with solo dancers, and a wide variety of dance styles on display. Abdul is still the same quirky, off-the-wall judge who knows how to get fans’ heads scratching. Case in point: “I want different. I want new. I want amazing people that live in their unique ability.”

Oh Paula … how we’ve missed you. Honestly, judging a dance competition makes the most sense for her … I mean, was she ever really a proper singing judge? Paula’s stregnth — the foundation of her superstar career — is dance. Live to Dance is her way to share that love with the world … and is, apparently, a way to share great and not-so great dancers with the world as well. Check out this fun preview video of her new show:

It looks cute. I’m not a big fan of these sorts of competitive reality TV shows but … I’m deffo gonna give Paula Abdul‘s new show a shot. I used to LOVE her to DEATH when I was in high school in her popstar days. That intense love has waned considerably in recent years … but I still got a place in my heart for our dear Paula. What do y’all think … does Live to Dance look like a show that YOU would like to watch?

‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark’ Cancels Another Performance

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 09:36 AM PST

Another day, another no-go for the very troubled Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. As you may recall, during the Monday night performance this week, an actor was injured after he fell 30 feet due to a failed stunt in the show. As a result, performances of Turn Off the Dark were canceled until safety inspections/inquires could be completed. On Tuesday, it was determined that the injury was due to “human error” and the show was given the green light to begin performances on Wednesday night. Shortly before the 8pm performance was due to start, audience members were greeted with a sign that informed them that last night’s performance had also been canceled.

The Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" canceled its two Wednesday performances to test a new safety plan for the show's 38 aerial and stage maneuvers, which involve actors hoisted or tethered in harnesses, including the maneuver that failed at Monday night's performance when a stunt actor fell more than 20 feet and broke his ribs. By canceling the performances at a cost of roughly $400,000 in ticket sales, and by adopting safety measures recommended by state and federal officials, the producers of "Spider-Man" sought to project a sense of urgency and understanding that action was needed to make the show safer. While the producers said that Thursday night's performance would go on, they also committed, according to state safety officials, not to hold performances until the new measures were in place. The state officials said the plan could be tested successfully by Thursday night. Under the plan, one offstage crew member will attach the harness and related cables, wires or tethers to the actors, and a second stagehand will verify that the attachments are made. That second stagehand will then verbally notify a stage manager that they are safely connected. The actor will also verify that the attachment is made. Previously, there was no second stagehand to verify or communicate with the stage manager, and the actor was not required to check his harness.

In an effort to try and address the fears and concerns of the Spider-Man cast, producers held a closed door meeting with the entire cast and crew in order to try and counter all of the negative attention generated by the endless calamities plaguing the show:

While publicity about Monday's accident and a backstage one on Nov. 28 has stirred interest in the show, the buzz has also left some actors and stagehands feeling demoralized, as well as protective of fellow company members. The producers and creators held a private meeting with the entire company for more than two hours on Tuesday, two people who attended said. Some cast and crew members vented frustrations to the director, Julie Taymor, and the lead producer, Michael Cohl, about their decision-making — including whether the show had had enough time this fall to rehearse before performances began … A few company members also questioned Ms. Taymor — and in some cases challenged her — about whether the show was as safe as it could be and whether crew members had had enough time to absorb technical changes, and actors enough time to run through them. Two actors were injured this fall doing aerial stunts before preview performances began; during the first preview, one of the lead actresses suffered a concussion while in the wings just offstage, and, on Monday, the stunt actor, Christopher Tierney, fell from a platform when the tether attached to his harness was not properly affixed. By all accounts, Ms. Taymor responded calmly to the questions and emphasized that safety was her foremost concern. Her representative did not respond to a request to interview Ms. Taymor on Wednesday.

Wow. Well, this meeting had to take place. It’s bad enough that most of the outside world thinks this Spider-Man show is a total dangerous debacle but if members of the cast and crew decide to bail, then the show will be DOOMED for sure. With all that money and, more importantly to her, Julie Taylor‘s reputation on the line … I’m not surprised at all that they are doing everything they can to bend over backwards in order to try and salvage this show. As soon as the notice of last night’s cancellation was taped up on the theater door, rumors began to spread like wildfire that the whole production had been canceled indefinitely. Turn Off the Dark producers want it made clear that that is NOT the case … the show WILL go on (they hope):

The spokesman, Rick Miramontez, categorically denied a media report that "Spider-Man" had been shut down indefinitely. "Absolutely false," Mr. Miramontez said shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday. "The performance is on for tomorrow night." Mr. Miramontez said that the cancellation of Wednesday night's performance was necessary to provide more time for the "Spider-Man" crew members to put in place a new safety plan for the various stage and aerial maneuvers that involved actors being attached to harnesses.

And there you have it … more delays but with the promise that the show will continue to perform. This is good news for me, I’m hoping to see Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark in February after it officially opens on Feb. 7. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if it will last that long.

Rachel Zoe Takes The Baby Bump Xmas Shopping

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 09:18 AM PST

Earlier this month we saw photos of celebrity stylist and reality TV star Rachel Zoe filming new scenes for the upcoming season of her Bravo TV series The Rachel Zoe Project and in those photos we got a peek at Rachel‘s teeny weeny baby bump. Today we get to see new photos of the pregs Zoe doing a bit of Xmas shopping (very likely for herself) while she keeps her tiny bump underwraps.

Something tells me that Rachel‘s Bump Watch is going to be pretty uneventful. The woman is so small that her bump won’t prolly grow very large … and even if it does, she may do her best to keep it covered up from prying eyes. Pregnancy can work magic on women … it can turn them into glowing goddesses of beauty. Here’s hoping that Rachel embraces her pregnancy and lets the magic of human creation overtake her extreme need to always look perfect and stylish. I’d love to see a frumpy-looking Zoe for once … wouldn’t that be fun to see?

Nekkid Photos Of Clay Aiken’s New Boyfriend Have Hit The Internets

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 08:29 AM PST

Last Saturday we got our first look at photos of Clay Aiken and his new love interest Jeff Walters as the couple canoodled together at a Winter festival in Dallas, TX (where Walters lives). Today we get to see a few photos, one that is very NSFW, of Clay‘s new man in all his nekkid glory. As I understand it, Walters posted sexy/nude photos on Grindr (the “social networking” mobile phone app for gay men) to hook up with dudes before he met Clay … and some of those photos are now circulating on the Internets.

You may recall that we got to see a few hot photos from Walters‘s portfolio where he was modeling sexy underwear for 2(x)ist … but none of those photos gave any clue as to what Jeff was hiding inside those undies:

If you DARE, you can click the image above to see the uncensored image of Walters in all his very ample glory or you can click HERE to see the the photos at the extremely NSFW adult source site. It should be noted that the last totally nekkid photo does NOT feature Jeff Walters‘s face so it is in the realm of possibility that it is not him … but with an endowment, shall we say, such as this … well, I can’t see why he wouldn’t want to claim the photo as his. To be honest, I thought Clay was very lucky to have scored such a hottie when the previous photos came out … with these new photos, well, all I can say is … Well done, Clay!!

Paul ‘Pauly D’ DelVecchio Gets His Own TV Show On MTV

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 08:13 AM PST

The third season of Jersey Shore won’t debut on MTV for a couple of weeks yet but today we’re hearing that one of the show’s break-out stars has signed a solo deal to have a TV show of his own separate from Jersey Shore. Paul Pauly D DelVecchio has signed a deal and filmed a pilot for a new show of his very own that will focus on his burgeoning career in music.

Paul DelVecchio, aka DJ Pauly D, has signed a series option deal with MTV for a new show that would focus on his burgeoning music career away from the beach, Variety reports. “At the heart of Jersey Shore is the unique and genuine cast, and Pauly D truly embodies both qualities,” MTV programming chief Chris Linn says. “We know viewers are curious about his life away from the shore, and we look forward to exploring new possibilities around that.” A pilot has already been filmed. DelVecchio is a rising star on the DJ circuit, and has released his first single with Universal Republic Records from the Jersey Shore soundtrack.

Yay!! This is fun news, I think. Of all of the Jersey Shore “stars”, Pauly D is the funniest, funnest and most lovable of the bunch. If any of those jokers were going to get their own show, I’m glad that it was Pauly. Altho Pauly is the first to get his own show, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility that MTV might give one or two of the other castmembers shows of their own as well (after all, MTV isn’t really a bastion of creative thought). I could see Nicole Snooki Polizzi and Mike The Situation Sorrentino getting their own shows but, honestly, The Situation is not at all interesting to me … and I don’t think the world needs a show that would focus on Snooki‘s drinking problems. No, I think MTV got it right by signing Pauly D for his own show. This sounds like a Jersey Shore spin-off that I would actually watch … would you?

Zac Efron Shaves Off All Of His Beautiful Hair For His Latest Movie

Posted: 23 Dec 2010 07:36 AM PST

Last month we got to see a few hawt photos of beefed up actor Zac Efron, newly broken-up with his longtime girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, on the set of his new film The Lucky One (which is adapted from the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name). In the photos we saw last month, beefy Zac had himself a full head of hair … but, alas, all that hair is no more. Zac buzzed it all off for the film role … yep, all of that luxurious and always perfectly coiffed hair … gone.

Principal filming production has wrapped on The Lucky One so Zac made his way back home to rainy/chilly LA and was forced to keep his buzzed head wrapped warmly in a knit cap:

But his hair — his beautiful, beautiful hair — had to be shaved off for the flashback scenes of this film where he plays a young military man. A photo of Zac in full costume — with head buzzed — made its way to Twitter … behold:

When crew members heard “cut” on set of the Zac Efron drama “The Lucky One,” which wrapped a 10-week New Orleans shoot on Tuesday (Dec. 21), they took it to heart. And so as actor-heartthrob Efron heads home for the holidays, he is leaving behind a much balder crew base than that which he found while adding cash to the coffers of a New Orleans charity. Clearly, an explanation is in order: Efron’s character in the Warner Bros. film — based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, but reset from North Carolina to Louisiana — is a Marine fresh from his third tour of duty in Iraq. While overseas, he finds a photo of a mysterious woman that ends up becoming his good-luck charm. Once back home, he sets out on a quest to find her and thank her for watching over him. And if romance should blossom in the process? Well, this is a Nicholas Sparks story, after all. In addition to visiting the gym regularly to bulk up for the role and growing a dashing chin of stubble, Efron had his hair trimmed in a military-style buzzcut. That got him thinking: Why should he be the only one making tonsorial sacrifices for the film? So he made a deal with the crew last week: For every crew member who also shaved his or her head, Efron would donate cash to Kingsley House. By the time the shears had stopped, some 30 crew members had put themselves on the chopping block, including two women whose lengthy castoffs were donated to Locks of Love, the national organization that makes wigs for sick children. Just as importantly, Efron was on the hook for thousands of dollars, although his Los Angeles-based publicist, Gina Hoffman, declined to provide an exact figure. “He likes doing things for charity — two Make-A-Wish kids came a visit to the set while he was there — and he felt like he wanted to do something for a New Orleans charity since he had such a nice time shooting there,” Hoffman said Tuesday afternoon.

I guess I never realized how much forehead Zac has … prolly because it is usually covered by ALL OF HIS BEAUTIFUL HAIR! Blah. Well, at least we know it’ll grow back … and fast. And, at least Zac raised money for charity in the process of buzzing his hair. I guess we can look forward to photos of Zac and his cute short hair’dos as the weeks and months progress. What do ya’ll think of his buzzed ‘do … does it work for you? Do you like?
