Penn Badgley Intoxicates Hearts With His Lilac Wine

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 01:32 PM PDT

Oh, didn't you know?

When Penn Badgley isn't busy playing Lonely Boy on Gossip Girl, he's invoking Jeff Buckley!

A lot of you were probably first introduced to the wonder of Buckley when his version of Hallelujah serenaded Marissa Cooper's death on The O.C. (as well as the Season 1 finale montage).

But the musical wizard had plenty more where that came from -- including a very special cover of Lilac Wine.

And since Penn is playing Jeff Buckley in the upcoming biopic, he took his "research" and performed the beautiful song LIVE at one of New York's lovely little clubs.

CH-CH-CHECK IT OUUUTTT (ABOVE)!

He and Leighton Meester need to do a duet. And they need to do one now! Riight?

Maybe together, their voices could bring world peace. Ha!

Beyonce Breaks It Down For The Humans!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 01:19 PM PDT

Girl is on top, runnin' the mother f*ckin' world like the wise and caring QUEEN that she is!!

In honor of this year's World Humanitarian Day, Beyonce, the United Nations and various non-profit humanitarian organizations, have created a campaign hoping to promote the necessarry trend of people helping people regardless of superficial, socially constructed classifications such as race, location, religion, or economic status.

Check out Beyonce's concise and non-preachy promotional message for the I Was Here campaign (above), and CLICK HERE to check out the campaign for yourself!

As part of the I Was Here humanitarian movement, Lady Bey will film a music video at the UN General Assembly Hall, which premieres on World Humanitarian Day (August 19th).

Help a stranger! Help a friend! Make anyone's day a little brighter... how can that NOT be a good thing?!

Lana Del Rey Gets A Little Bit Racist At An Avenue Q Performance!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 12:53 PM PDT

Well, not really!

We just were thinking about how the song Everyone's A Little Bit Racist would sound re-worked with her vocal stylingz and aesthetic!

And if not that one, The Internet Is For Porn!

LOLz!

Either way, Lana Del Rey took a break from performing herself to sit back and be an audience member at a matinee of Avenue Q over the week, and was spotted looking lovely as she approached the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center with a gentleman friend!

Check her out (above)!

Who doesn't love a trip to the theater?!

Especially when it's a show as HIGHlarious and oh so WRONG as Avenue Q!

How was it, gurl?!

James McAvoy HIT By A Taxi In NYC!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 12:40 PM PDT

Relax, though!

It's only because the actor decided NOT to use a stunt double!

That's right, James McAvoy is hard at work on production of his new movie The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby in New York City ... and from the looks of it, this gig really is HARD WORK!

This past Friday, James shot scenes with co-star Jessica Chastain, during which he is struck by a passing taxi and flips right over the hood!

Ch-ch-check out photos from the craziness (above)!

OUCHIE!

And apparently, he was only wearing protective gear on his knees and elbows!

That looks INTENSE!

But clearly, with Jessica laughing over his mangled body, he must not have been in too much pain!

Phew! We wouldn't want anything happening to such a flawless face!

Glad you're all right, boy!

Justin Bieber Faces Fire Over Racist Comment!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 12:22 PM PDT

Free gas is not worth this much!

Get ready Beliebers! Cuz your highness, Justin Bieber, has brewed a cup of controversy for himself. And it's HOT!

After he made the following comment in a Rolling Stone interview, the Congress of Native Peoples had to fire back.

First, here's what Justin said to RS:

"I'm actually part Indian. I think Inuit or something? I'm enough percent that in Canada, I can get free gas."

But the Congress of Native Peoples says it's simply not true. And then The Congress of Aboriginal Peoples chimed in with their unhappiness too:

"These kinds of remarks are another example of what Aboriginal peoples in Canada struggle with every day. It promotes the misconception that we are somehow getting a free ride. This simply is not the case and we are concerned that many people may believe what he said."

So naturally, internet commenters have taken to their soap boxes to bash the Biebs. It's so bad, we hear the Congress has urged people to take it easy on him.

Gas might be expensive, but so are offensive comments! Clearly!

Taylor Swift Is Drowning! … In Kennedy Adoration!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 12:11 PM PDT

You go, gurl!

She might really become the next Mrs. Kennedy after all!

Already donning the praise of Conor Kennedy's grandmother, Ethel Kennedy, Taylor Swift just earned herself a new badge of family approval.

Now it's sister Kick Kennedy chiming in with love for Swifty!

At the after-party for Total Recall, sissy said of her brother's relationship:

"It's very real. I love her, she's great."

Bra-Va, Taylor! Bra-VAH!!!

We think this relationship might really be a winner! And it's about time!

We were sooo tired of seeing Swifty with a bunch of guys who couldn't handle the heat!

Christina Aguilera's New Single Gets Caught In The Interwebz? Listen HERE!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 12:02 PM PDT

Could this be Christina Aguilera's new single??

MAYBE!

Last week, we talked all about Easier To Lie being her rumored comeback single. The Max Martin-produced track is supposed to drum on our ears through the airwaves soon enough, leading Xtina back into the active pool of superstar songbirds.

And now there's a 9-second clip making its way through the interwebz, teasing her fans with question marks.

CH-CH-CHECK IT OUUUTTTT (ABOVE)!

We don't know if it's really her or not, but it certainly sounds like one of her kind of jams!

AND, just last week she tweeted she was "wrapped" on some new material, saying:

So we know she's been workin' on something (besides the big hair)!

She's also referred to her new album as "quality, not quantity." And we can only hope it's full of tracks that can go as far as her Stripped sounds did. Or even Back to Basics!

Mariah Carey's Triumphant Club Cocktail Mixer!

Posted: 06 Aug 2012 11:51 AM PDT

It's a butterfly fantasy for realz!

A THIRD version of Mariah Carey's latest Triumphant release has exploded all over the internetz, and this time, girl be triumphantly shutting the club DOWN!

The song is still not GREAT, but this is by far the best out of the three versions we've heard.

Blast this Triumphant (Get Em') Pulse Remix when you're in a rave-your-bum off kind of mood; it's the perfect mixer for a club cocktail. So pour some of that pulsating ambrosia (above) down your throat and prepare to blast-off into the deepest depths of Mariah Cary's universe!

We wonder, which version of Triumphant will Mariah perform on American Idol, and will she belt it out alongside potential fellow-judge Nick Jonas?!?!

YES PERLEASSSE!
