OPRAH RECAP: Gabrielle Douglas ADMITS BULLYING & RACISM Nearly Made Her QUIT Gymnastics...And She HASN'T SPOKEN To Her Father!

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 08:08 AM PDT

Gold-medal winning gymnast Gabrielle Douglas gave a revealing interview on "Oprah's Next Chapter" where she admitted that she hasn't spoken to her father since the Olympics (because of her mother) and that she nearly quit the sport six months before the Olympics because of bullying.  Deets inside.....

Oprah Winfrey visited West Des Moines recently where she talked to Gabrielle Douglas, the first African American gymnast to win gold in the "All-Around" Olympic competition.  The duo visted the home were Gabrielle lived during her training and also the gym where she perfected her skills.  During the chat, she revealed that she nearly left the sport because she was bullied by teammates.  She also revealed her mother has prevented her from speaking to her military dad.  Here are the highlights:

On being bullied at her gym in Virginia:

I felt like I was bullied and isolated from the group, and they treated me not how they would treat the other teammates.....I was getting racist jokes. I was being isolated from the group. I’d come home at night and cry my eyes out because ‘What did I do to deserve this?'  One of my teammates was like, ‘Can you scrape the bar?’ and they were like, ‘Well why doesn’t Gabby do it? She’s our slave."

On fighting through the pain:

“I wanted everyone to know it’s still possible for anyone really. I wanted to make them know to never give up and always keep fighting, because though times may be tough, the sacrifices do pay off, so just keep pushing towards your dream and just love it at the same time and enjoy it.”

On contacting her father Sgt. Douglas:

“I don’t think it would be for the best" and “We’re kinda distant,” she said. She also revealed that her mother made her change her cell number so that her Dad has no way to reach her.

On the hair controversy:

She admits that the controversy hurt and she didn't learn about it until she looked herself up.  “I searched it, just to see what they were talking about. I put Gabby Douglas and then it first says ‘Gabby Douglas hair’ like the first one on Google.”

During the interview, Gabrielle’s mother, Natalie; her three siblings; and her coach, Liang Chow; all appear. Watch the video here:

Terrell Owens CUT From Seahawks, Baby Mamas Will Be PISSED

Posted: 27 Aug 2012 07:35 AM PDT

Terrell Owens just lost his way of paying his baby mamas the ridiculous amount of back child support he owes.  He's been cut from the Seattle Seahawks.  Deets inside...

So as the NFL continues their pre-season cuts and team building, Terrell Owens was on the receiving end of a pink slip instead of a football.

After the team reduced their roster from 90 to 75 yesterday, T.O. tweeted:

“I’m no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I’m truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.”

It seemed his world was turning around on a more positive note, but this is yet another obstacle he's facing.

Previously, one of the mothers of T.O.'s kids filed papers saying that she wanted his child support payments to NOT be modified like they were, since now he had a job with the Seahawks.  Melanie Paige-Smith said that the courts changing his support to lower payments no longer needed to happen, esp. because he's mad over $29 Million in the last 5 years.  (Really?)

So now, it looks like Melanie & the other baby mamas are back at square one.  Good luck with that.

The Randomness:

1.  Speaking of firings, Cymphonique Miller's (Master P's daughter's) Nickelodeon show "How To Rock" has been canceled after just one season. STORY

2.  Beyonce's mom Tina Knowles took a loss this weekend.  She sold her Houston mansion for almost 3 mill.  Which is $500K less than the listed price.  She still has $3 mill in the bank, so the term "loss" is pretty relative. STORY

MUSIC FAB: Fat Joe's "Pride N Joy" Video Ft. Kayne West, Ashanti & Miguel + Avant Ft. KeKe Wyatt's "You & I"

Posted: 26 Aug 2012 10:55 AM PDT

Fat Joe teamed with Kanye West and Miguel for his "Pride N Joy" video, which features appearances from other artists like Ashanti and Jadakiss. Also, Avant has reunited with singer turned reality chick  KeKe Wyatt for a new R&B track called "You & I."  Check both out inside....

For his Hype Williams-directed video for "Pride N Joy," Fat Joe brought out Kanye West, Miguel, Jadakiss, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, Busta Rhymes and Ashanti. Each of the celebs taped their scenes for the clip at a studio in Brooklyn.

Explaining why he made the song, Fat Joe said, “I think hip-hop needs to see unity,” said Joe. “This whole song been about unity, bring back that De La Soul, that Tribe [Called Quest].”

Ashanti continues to look hot by the way.  Can't seem to figure out why her singing career stays lukewarm though.

Also........

Singer Avant, who'll be performing in Johannesburg on Sept 29, has released a new track featuring his fave collabo partner ("Nothing In This World") KeKe Wyatt.  The track, "You & I," is an R&B balled (written by Avant himself of course) that shows off both of their killer vocals.  It doesn't impace radio until September 10th, but we've got it for you now.

The twosome recorded the song for Avant's upcoming untitled studio album dropping early 2013, and it will also appear on KeKe's forthcoming album.  On the Oct. 1st episode of "R&B Divas," we'll see the two hit the studio to record the song since cameras were rolling during the production.

Meanwhile, now that "R&B Divas" is a hit, KeKe may be on her way to getting the fame and recognition she deserves.

On another note, we're told that we'll get to see just what led to KeKe having such unhealthy relationships with men and what caused her low self esteem when "R&B Divas" sheds light on the abuse she suffered from her father.

Listen to "You & I" below...
