WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is finding that out the hard way. He pushed the boundaries a little too far, and now he’s got all kinds of skeletons tumbling out of the closet. Not to mention his legal issues. Julian Assange was arrested today by British police in connection with a Swedish sex crimes investigation — one of many legal, financial and security challenges faced by the WikiLeaks founder. Scotland Yard said the 39-year-old Australian voluntarily turned up at a London police station at 9:30 a.m. and was arrested on a European Arrest Warrant. Assange is expected to appear at the City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court — located in the heart of the capital — later today, where he will likely have to post bail of between $160,000 and $320,000. He will also need up to six people to act as guarantors or risk being held, The Guardian newspaper reports. A full hearing of his extradition case would then be held within 28 days. Assange’s legal woes relate to sex-crime allegations filed against him by two women he met in Sweden this August. The WikiLeaks founder has admitted having consensual sex with the women, and according to a recent AOL New story, the charges relate to disagreements over condom use. According to The Guardian, Assange believes that “personal issues” motivated the original allegations against him and that Sweden had subsequently behaved as a “cipher” for the U.S. Over condom use? Okay, but the head of WikiLeaks should have no problem making bail, right? The freedom of information campaigner may face a struggle to raise bail because his sources of funding have been choked off in recent weeks. Swiss authorities on Monday froze his bank account — reported to contain about $41,000 — after claiming that he had provided false personal information. MasterCard is also blocking transfers to WikiLeaks, according to the CNet News website, saying the organization was involved in “illegal activity.” And online credit firm PayPal has also refused to pass donations on to WikiLeaks. While backstage, VH1 caught up with the legendary emcee to find out her thoughts on the Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim beef. Most female emecees choose to steer clear of this entire madness but not MC Lyte… she spoke her mind and all we can do is respect her for that. Appears that she’s on Nicki side but then again she kind of explains where Lil Kim is coming from VH1: Nicki Minaj… MC LYTE: You know, I look at her as a culmination of all of the female emcees that are and were with her spice all on top of it and she’s uniquely different for this time because she’s equipped business wise. She totaly understands the business, she understands what it means to be different in your approach and I love it. When I listen to her I feel like I’m on a voyage because you never know exactly where she’s going to end up. VH1: Who would you say her flow is similiar too? MC LYTE: No one that I know. I think in style, I like to think of Missy because when I first heard Missy and I heard all of the little noises she use to make and I would be like “what the hell? Oh Wow, I wanna learn how to do that…” and now you know it just feels like Nicki on steroids. It’s like… she’s just thoroughly entertaining. VH1: Thoughts on the Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj Battle? MC LYTE: I can easily say it’s unfortunate but I’ve had my diss wars and my battles back in the day… VH1: Who was your diss against? MC LYTE: Antoinette. Oh, we did battle one time, face to face but I think literally the difference between us was I had had a couple of records out before her so, I had made a couple of fans before she did and that was the only thing that separated us, you know, in terms of who was going to win the battle. I just had more people backing me. So, I was lucky I came out when I did… With regards to Nicki and Kim, we were actually just talking about it in the dressing room and I feel like right now there’s room for everyone but those who really need to be worried by Nicki’s record is Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Nelly Fertado… Nicki is coming out to win She’s not thinking of the block, she’s not thinking of the city She’s able to handle so many areas of what it takes right now to be an international star. So, hats off to everybody’s that’s doing it but I see the vision that Nicki she’s for the herself that people probably didn’t see before. VH1: Do you think Kim coming at Nicki was warranted? MC LYTE: Same reason I went after Antoinette, it’s what an emcee thrives on and you can not tell me that any female emcee listening to either one of them don’t wanna spit a verse themselves because it’s that competitive nature that hip hop brings to the community… MC Lyte is speaking her mind but also keeping it all in the safe zone…

White Comedian Louis C.K. Says “If You’re Black You Get To Complain More” Posted: 06 Dec 2010 06:33 PM PST Louis C.K. has made a career out of making outlandish and controversial statements and his appearance on Jay Leno’s show Friday was no different. While talking about his daughters Louis makes the comment that they are great because “they are two little white girls in America”, and that’s where the slippery slope begins. Leno tried to steer the conversation toward the holidays, but C.K. decided to use the remainder of the interview to clarify remarks about his daughters complaining too much about things like bubblegum-flavored medicine. “I’m not trying to say that if you’re white you can’t complain,” C.K. said. “I’m just saying that if you’re black you get to complain more.” Hold up bruh, we’re all for a good joke, but what exactly are you trying to say??? Louis C.K. followed up with a great bit about white people insisting year after year that slavery was 100 years farther back in history than it really is. He also noted that if you see a black person with gray hair, that they probably remember what it was like to have to use a different toilet so, “give them a little time to be cranky.” That last bit about white people “forgetting” how long ago slavery was might just have saved you an a**-whooping Mr. C.K. We not gonna lie though, as funny as it might have been, its still very true, black folks are really JUST now getting “equal rights” in the past 40 years. So if we seem “cranky”, belligerent, or downright pissed off, don’t try to calm us down, just get outta the way! Would you say that black people complain too much?
