Megan Fox in a bikini: “painfully thin” or does she look healthy? Posted: 19 Dec 2010 07:44 AM PST Remember how I was wondering on Friday why Megan Fox is no longer ubiquitous? Yeah. Looks like Megan wants some attention after being quiet and low-key for a few months. Megan and Brian Austin Green are in Hawaii for the holidays, and Megan put on her smallest little black bikini for the paps - she's also wearing her diamond ring, which Bauer-Griffin is noting for some reason. It does look very big in these pics, but I don't see how that's particularly notable. Only didn't she "lose" it the last time she and BAG were in Hawaii? But the one that she lost was only two carats - this one looks much bigger. Also - I take off my jewelry when I swim, in the pool or the ocean. Doesn't everyone? Do you like how she's posing for the cameras? I mean, I can't blame her really. If someone was taking my photo while I was in a bikini, I would be using whatever I had to cover up. Megan's got a lovely figure - athletic, slim, nice shape - but judging from where she has her hands, I think she's probably a little self-conscious of her thighs. It happens to the best of us. But, The Daily Mail is making a big deal about how Megan looks "painfully thin" - however, to my eyes, she looks either the same as always, or like she might have put on a pound or two. She's not emaciated. But I do think something wonky is happening with her boobs, which The Mail also talks about. Emily Blunt’s Roksanda dress: terrible or cute? Posted: 19 Dec 2010 07:12 AM PST Now, I love Emily Blunt. I think she's so, so talented and very beautiful. But the girl gets it wrong quite often on the red carpet. Yesterday was the big premiere for Gulliver's Travels, starring Emily and Jack Black, amongst others. Emily wore this Roksanda dress… ugh. First of all, I'm not sure if it's really a dress. It looks like Emily just walked away from a tropical holiday and somehow wandered onto this red carpet in a simple pencil skirt and a too-bright summer holiday tank. I realize that the Spring lines are out and all of these celebrities want to wear the latest looks, but this is completely inappropriate for the week before Christmas. Plus, the top just isn't a good color. And Emily looks kind of drunk. Emily also recently broke my heart just a little bit when she shot down the idea of little Blunt-Krasinskis running around any time soon. She said in an interview, "I come from a big family and I've always wanted children, but not quite yet. Yes, mum gave up her career, but it's a different age now. I'm lucky in that, hopefully, I will have established myself more than my mum was able to before she had children. I think it will be easier for me. But, honestly, I don't know what I'm going to feel until it happens." Well… at least she's honest. I appreciate that. Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez trot out for a photo op, er, “second date” Posted: 19 Dec 2010 06:53 AM PST Can we start the "Selena Gomez is a lesbian" rumors now? These are new photos of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez going on their "second date" in Miami over the weekend. Selena is 18 years old - The Bieb is 16 years old. So if Selena is not a lesbian (she's not), then she's a "cougar". And this whole thing has a whiff of PR, of course, although I have to give it to Bieb - he's consistent. The boy loves darker women. His celebrity crushes include women like Kim Kardashian and Beyonce and now Selena Gomez. He's not one of those "give me a blonde" type of boys. As for Selena… I'm kind of disappointed in her. Unlike the Mileys and Demi Lovatos of the world, I really bought that Selena was a nice young lady with a good head on her shoulders. Why is she doing this? Attention? Ugh. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez may have denied they are in a relationship, but the rumours have stepped up a gear after the pair were spotted enjoying time together in Miami. The cute couple looked cosy as they strolled towards Miami's famous South Beach on 18 December, ahead of the latest gig on Justin's My World tour. They began giggling when they released paparazzi had spotted them and quickly returned to their hotel. Following this latest sighting, an insider told Hollywood Life magazine that the pair were keen to keep their romance a secret. “It could hurt his sales, so his manager told him to back off going out in public with her. The two are trying to play innocent… but they’re inseparable. “Everyone wants to be [Justin's] girlfriend and it angers young teens that he’s being seen out with Selena. It’s so obvious though, and kind of cute. There is no way Justin is like a brother to Selena. He’s so much more.” But Selena recently claimed they were just friends and said she felt protective of the U Smile singer. "When he first started to come over from Canada, his manager contacted me and he just said that he would like to meet me and he was just such a good kid," the Disney star said. Kate Middleton disappoints in black & white during a charity outing with William Posted: 19 Dec 2010 06:29 AM PST Well, yesterday Prince William and Kate Middleton did their first big public outing as an engaged couple (excluding their engagement announcement and all of that). Will and Kate went out for a holiday fundraiser outside of London… and I'm severely unimpressed with Kate's choice in dress. It is…blah. White and black dress, black hose, black jacket, and all of it looks kind of… cheap? Like it's from a mall. And she picked it out on a discount rack. I realize we all have a budget and everything, even princesses-to-be, but for their first post-engagement announcement as a couple, can we maybe get some Chanel? Burberry? Vivienne Westwood? Ugh. Stepping out publicly for the first time since announcing their engagement November 16, Prince William and Kate Middleton were all smiles as they attended a holiday fundraiser in Fakenham, England Saturday. Wearing a geometric black and white dress and a demure blazer, Middleton, 28, looked confident as she walked alongside the future King of England — and with good reason. “Kate was given royal assistance like no other girl has ever been given before entering the family,” a palace insider recently told Us Weekly. According to Katie Nicholl, author of William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls, palace staff began showing Middleton footage of the late Princess Diana “getting out of a car and paparazzi going berserk, so that Kate would know how to deal with it. Now she already knows how this works.” The future Princess will also receive tutorials on royal correspondence, public speaking, and “how to behave at banquets,” Nicholl added. Did Reese Witherspoon or Gwyneth Paltrow set up Jwifty/Jaylor? Posted: 19 Dec 2010 06:03 AM PST The romance between Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift is as sweet as a caramel mocha latte and seems made in PR heaven. However, there’s some confusion about which famous blonde actress first introduced them, Gwyneth Paltrow or Reese Witherspoon. Recent reports have Gwyneth confirming earlier reports that she “helped” set up Jaylor, and now she’s taking the credit for Jaylor, or GyllenSwift, or whatever nickname they’re going by. She hinted as much to USA Today. When USA TODAY’s Claudia Puig asked Gwyneth Paltrow if it was true that she had introduced Jake Gyllenhaal to Taylor Swift at a dinner party at the London home she shares with her husband Chris Martin and their children, the Country Strong actress hemmed and hawed. “Where is this coming from,” she asked, after being told of a web post claiming the new couple had met at Chez Paltrow. “I’ve just known Jake for a long time and he’s a great guy,” she added, “and Chris has a friendship with Taylor.” So, did they come to dinner and catch each other’s eye? “Well, I’m scared to say,” she admitted. “It’s so weird. I wonder how people find out these things. It was a while ago, so I don’t know why it would come out today.” [USA Today] Us Weekly also claims Gwynnie is the magic matchmaker. But National Enquirer printed a story way back in November that Reese Witherspoon took pity on her ex Jake and set him up with Taylor. Reese Witherspoon still feels so bad about dumping Jake Gyllenhaal that she recently played matchmaker and hooked him up with country cutie Taylor Swift, sources say. The Brokeback Mountain hunk has been unhappily single since splitting from Reese about a year ago, sources say, while the Oscar-winning actress is seriously dating agent Jim Toth. …The Legally Blonde star stayed in touch with Jake after their two-year romance ended, and Jake, 29, recently confided that Taylor had caught his eye, said the source. That’s when Reese, 34, went into matchmaking mode, said the source. She called the young star — who’s dated Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner, heartthrob Joe Jonas and musician John Mayer — to sing her ex’s praises, said the insider. “Reese told Taylor that Jake’s a good guy who’s romantic and a lot of fun, but would never take advantage of her,” said the source. Taylor then invited Jake to accompany her to New York where her friend Emma Stone was hosting Saturday Night Live, said the source. “Jake and Taylor went to the show, had breakfast the next morning and spend a wonderful weekend together,” said the source. [National Enquirer, print edition, November 15, 2010] Admittedly, the Gyllenhaal-Swift hookup strikes me as a little creepy. Why would Jake’s ex and/or his friend feel the need to set him up with someone who hadn’t even turned 21 yet? Eight years isn’t a huge age difference chronologically, but a man about to turn 30 is usually worlds away in maturity level than a young woman just barely able to legally drink. I have doubts about both the Reese and Gwyneth stories, but there’s probably a grain of truth somewhere in both. I hope Reese didn’t order up a girlfriend for Jake like he was ordering off a menu, and I think Gwyneth is just trying to improve her image as a cold fish so people will go see Country Strong. However the couple came to be, we should take odds on how long it will last, now that both Jake’s film and Taylor’s album have been released. I’m guessing we’ll get an Us Weekly cover in the next six months or so telling us GyllenSwift are kaput and Jake is heartbroken while Taylor has already written a song about him.
