‘Transformers: Dark Of The Moon’ Releases A Teaser Trailer

The upcoming sequel film Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which is due to hit theaters next July, has just released its first teaser trailer … and from the looks of it, Transformers 3 may actually turn out to be a decent flick:


I really, REALLY hated everything about the last film Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen … so, to be honest, I hadn’t held much hope that this third installment in the franchise would be worth seeing. This teaser trailer changes my mind completely. I can’t think of another teaser trailer that so thoroughly charmed me from beginning to end. Remember that NASA mission to the moon back in 1969? Yeah, Transformers: Dark of the Moon plans to completely change everything that we thought we knew about that mission. Check out the teaser trailer in full, after the jump …


Um … BRILLIANT! This teaser gives me hope that the story in T3 will be good … mainly because this trailer is light years better than Revenge of the Fallen. I love the idea that the US sent Neil Armstrong to the moon NOT to explore Earth’s satellite but to investigate the crash landing of an alien Decepticon ship. LOOOOVE it! Color me impressed thus far … hopefully, T3 will continue to impress. What do y’all think of this trailer? Looks good, don’t it?

Sienna Miller & Jude Law Go Xmas Caroling

Lovebirds Sienna Miller and Jude Law got themselves into the Xmas spirit in England this week after they attended an Xmas carol service at St. Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge, London. Sienna donned a very festively red hooded coat while Jude opted for an all-over black look … behold:


From the looks of their getups, I’m thinkin’ it’s been really really cold in London this week … still, I’m guessing that JuSie relied heavily on their lurve for one another to keep them warm ;) If memory serves, Jude and his children spent some time with their mother over the holidays last year before Jude and Sienna whisked the kids off to a more tropical locale. I wonder if the same will happen this year. Whatever the case may be, this will be the second Xmas that JuSie will spend together as a newly reunited couple. Perhaps they’ll spend Xmas together next year as newlyweds. HMMMM.

For some reason, Rihanna really likes taking photos in her underwear. Still, she’s got a hot bod and I can’t really blame her for wanting to show it off. Emma Stone Films Her First Scenes For The Spider-Man Reboot

On Monday we got our first look at Emma Stone rockin’ her new blonde locks for her role as Gwen Stacy in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot film. Today we see that Emma has already begun filming production on the movie … bringing her version of Gwen Stacy to life:


Apparently Emma was filming a funeral scene (for who?) and Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield was nowhere to be seen (rats!) but now that the film has begun principal filming production we’re bound to see more from the set of the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man reboot soon. I really hated the blonde hair on Emma in the photos we saw on Monday … but either I’m getting used to the look or she actually looks better this time. What do y’all think … does Emma Stone look like Gwen Stacy to you?

A Final Farewell To Leslie Nielsen

Last week we learned the very sad news that funnyman Leslie Nielsen passed away at the age of 84 due to complications with pneumonia. Today we learn that Nielsen was laid to rest in Fort Lauderdale, FL on Tuesday as family and friends said their last sad goodbyes to the man who made so many people laugh in his life:

Leslie Nielsen has been laid to rest in a private family funeral in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, [Tuesday]. The comic, one Hollywood's best-known and best-loved stars, died last week at 84 after suffering complications from pneumonia. Friends and family gathered to mourn the actor and offer comfort to widow Barbaree, his fourth wife, at the ceremony. In a fitting tribute, the Naked Gun theme tune played as the Canadian Mounted Police carried his coffin from the funeral home into the Lago Mar hotel. Barbaree had been by his side when he passed away at his home after a 12-day stay in hospital. ‘He just fell asleep and passed away,’ Nielsen’s nephew Doug said. ‘He was truly a nice man. A very caring, naturally funny guy in day-to-day life, not just because someone wrote something on paper for him. He was a very tender-hearted man. He was one of my best friends and I loved him dearly. I’ll miss him greatly.’

Leslie Nielsen is beloved by so many that I wanted to pass along the news of his funeral. I totally love that the Naked Gun theme song was played at his funeral … I can’t think of a more fitting song to be played in his honor. While many of us are feeling the pain of his loss, the folks in Heaven are very lucky to have Leslie make them laugh for all eternity. Rest well, Leslie. Thank you so much for the many, many years of laughs. You are missed, sir. You are loved.

Baby, It’s COLD Outside

Greetings from America’s Mitten (aka Michigan) … I have successfully arrived in Detroit and have already started to become acclimated to the FREEZING temps here. Despite warnings from many of y’all here in the Midwest, I wasn’t quite prepared for how cold 16 degrees feels like … yes, it’s that cold here:


Still, I’m very happy to be home again. Last night I spent some time with my parents and already today I ran a few important errands with Sarah. This trip is going to be so low key, I can’t even make that more clear. I’m not lookin’ to do much at all … just chill with my peeps. Tonight, I’m hoping to do a sushi dinner with Sarah and Mark … and that’s about it. I’m gonna try and not think about the 70 degree weather I left back in SoCal … thankfully, I’ve got great friends and family to distract me :)

‘Blue Valentine’ Wins An R Rating, Premieres In NYC

Back in October we learned the somewhat shocking news that the new Ryan Gosling/Michelle Williams film Blue Valentine was slapped with an NC-17 rating by the MPAA (meaning that the film would be handicapped from a vast majority of movie theaters around the country, thereby severely hurting its chances during awards season). Today we learn the even more shocking news that the MPAA decided to downgrade the NC-17 rating to an R rating after a successful appeal from movie mogul Harvey Weinstein:

The MPAA has overturned the NC-17 rating on the Derek Cianfrance-directed Blue Valentine. The film will be given an R rating after Harvey Weinstein personally argued his position in today’s hearing. That clears up all kinds of potential problems that awaited the film had it been released with that rating or unrated. The rating was given for a sex scene between a married couple played by Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as their relationship disintegrates. I’m told the appeal board’s decision was unanimous.

Altho rare, the MPAA has been known to reverse its movie ratings on appeal … happily, this is one of those rare times. I understand the offending scene, which resulted in the NC-17 rating, was an oral sex scene where Gosling‘s character was servicing Williams‘s character. Black Swan features an oral sex scene between Natalie Portman‘s character and Mila Kunis‘s character and that film never got an NC-17 rating. Pretty much everyone who has seen the film believes the NC-17 rating was outrageously wrong … thankfully, it’s been overturned.

Ryan gets snaps from me for choosing the wear the blue velvet jacket … but I think I’d much prefer if he’d've shown up wearing nothing but a pair of sopping wet underwear. I believe this event took place before the MPAA changed the rating, otherwise the peeps would’ve looked a lot happier ;) I have been dying to see this film for MONTHS. I cannot wait ’til it hits theaters on December 31.

Teddy Montgomery On ‘90210’ Is Getting A New Boyfriend

Trevor Donovan‘s character Teddy on 90210 may have shared a same-sex kiss with Kyle Riabko‘s character Ian ONCE or TWICE but the days of Teddy and Ian kissing on the show are about to be over. According to a new report, Riabko is leaving 90210 very soon leaving the role of Teddy‘s love interest wide open … enter actor Freddie Smith and his character Marco:

For someone who's not even out of the closet, 90210's resident gay Teddy (Trevor Donovan) sure is seeing a lot of action. On the heels of the wannabe McEnroe's first man-on-man smooch with current love interest Ian (Kyle Riabko), the increasingly addictive CW soap has cast newcomer Freddie Smith to play Teddy's super-athletic and friendly new beau Marco. Although a 90210 rep declined to comment, a West Bev insider tells me that [spoiler alert!] Smith is being brought in to fill the void left by Riabko, who is leaving of his own accord. (I'm told Riabko wants to make himself available for the looming pilot season).

Marco is rumored to be making his debut on the show in February, which means that we only have a few more eps to look forward to that will feature the burgeoning romantic relationship between Teddy and Ian. I must say, in terms of Teddy‘s careful coming out, the timing couldn’t be worse. He is finally coming to terms with his homosexuality, he has finally declared his feelings for another guy … and that guy will soon be out of the picture. I’m glad to hear that the 90210 bosses already have another guy lined up to play Teddy‘s love interest but … dang … I have really been enjoying the growing relationship between Teddy and Ian. Ah well … love can be a fragile thing. I’m very glad that producers plan to keep featuring same-sex love relationships on the show … it’s one of the many things I love about watching 90210.

Taylor Swift Is The New Face Of CoverGirl Cosmetics

Back in April we learned that Country music sensation Taylor Swift (who has just been selected by Entertainment Weekly magazine as the 2010 Entertainer of the Year) was chosen as the next face of CoverGirl Cosmetics and today we get our first look at her first promo ad for the company. Taylor‘s new CoverGirl campaign isn’t due to debut in fashion magazines until January but People magazine brings us this first look at one of the new campaign photos:

Looks like Taylor Swift has something new to croon about. Though the news broke back in April that the singer would be the newest face of CoverGirl, fans have had to wait to see shots from the star's ad campaign for the brand's nature-inspired cosmetics line — until now. "I'm really excited for people to discover the new NatureLuxe line from CoverGirl!" Taylor said in a release. Not surprisingly, the fresh-faced country star proved herself to be as easy, breezy, beautiful as expected: surrounded by swathes of green fabric in a behind-the-scenes shot, Swift's airy campaign shot reflects the feeling of the products, which were designed to deliver a polished but lightweight finish. "The Silk Foundation and Gloss Balm are really light and fresh, they feel amazing on my skin," Swift raves of the makeup.

Oh yeah … Taylor Swift is doing very well for herself these days. Not only has her music career continued to flourish, not only has she reportedly snagged one of Hollywood’s most eligible men … but NOW she is the face of her own line of CoverGirl cosmetics? I can’t help but continue to be impressed with her success (tho, her relationship — whatever it may be — with Jake Gyllenhaal is another story). Happy Xmas From Prince Charles & Camilla

Before the British Royal Family gets around to celebrating the marriage of Prince William to his fiancee Kate Middleton next Spring, they’ve got a little matter of Xmas to celebrate beforehand. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall have released their official Xmas Card for 2010 as a way to say Happy Holidays to all their loyal subjects:

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, took to the slopes to take photos for this year’s royal Christmas card, which depicts the beaming couple atop a snowy mountainside in a winter wonderland. An annual tradition, the Prince of Wales, 62, has often included Princes William and Harry in previous years’ photos. But for this Christmas, it’s all about the future king and his Mrs., who are beaming and bundled up from head to toe.

My guess is that now that Prince William is about to become a married man and Prince Harry is a rugged military man, Charles and Camilla decided that their Xmas card need only depict the two of them together in a loving embrace. I can’t help but be fascinated by the Royal Family, even more so now with the upcoming wedding of Prince William to Kate. While I’ve never been too much of a Prince Charles fan, I can’t help but be charmed by him these days … after all, he will be the next King of England. I suppose the next time Charles and Camilla pose for an official photo, it’ll be for his son’s Royal Wedding in April. But, for now, it’s Xmas greetings all around.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Prepare For A Weekend Wedding

Back in September we got to see photos from Nicole Richie‘s 29th birthday/Bachelorette party which took place in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico but back then, we weren’t at all certain when Nicole and fiancee Joel Madden were planning to be married. In recent weeks, we began hearing reports of a December wedding and this week it was widely circulated that the couple were planning to be wed this weekend … then the event planning trucks started to show up and the tents started to be erected at the Richie family mansion. E! New‘s Marc Malkin is now spillin’ all the deets that he knows about concerning Nic/Joel‘s upcoming weekend wedding:

Nicole Richie has just a few days left as a single woman. The starlet will tie the knot with her rocker boyfriend Joel Madden this Saturday at her father Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills estate. Richie will reportedly wear a Marchesa dress when she walks down the aisle. The bride-to-be and her close friend and personal stylist Simone Harouche went to a fitting last week with Marchesa in NYC. “It went very well,” a source tells us. A source familiar with the wedding prep says Richie wanted to keep the guest list limited to the closest friends and family. Part of the reason? While her dad’s mansion boasts 28 rooms, space on the grounds is actually limited. Just [Wednesday] morning, rental trucks were seen arriving at the gates of Lionel’s mansion where ladders and other preparation equipment could be seen in the driveway. Celeb guests will include Joel’s brother Benji, along with friends Samantha Ronson and Khloé Kardashian. Kim Kardashian and Richie’s former BFF Paris Hilton will apparently not be in attendance.

At last … at long last … Nicole and Joel are finally ready to take that walk down the aisle together. It seems like only yesterday that we first heard that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden had coupled up … it was like a dream come true for me. Two of my fave celebs had found love together … it couldn’t get more perfect than that. Then the couple gave birth to their adorable daughter Harlow Winter Kate (who would make a perfect flower girl) … then came their son, Sparrow Midnight James (the perfect ring bearer) … and now, the I Dos. I couldn’t be more thrilled for Nic/Joel, really.

Stephen Moyer & Alexander Skarsgård Wage ‘The Battle Of The Fang’ 2010

Earlier this year, True Blood co-stars Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård were great sports and participated in a TB fan-driven charity event called The Battle of the Fang and, as I understand it, helped raise thousands of dollars for each actor’s favorite charity. The team able to raise the most money thruout the challenge won the right to have both Stephen and Alexander wear t-shirts designed by the winning team. Here are supercute photos of Moyer and Skarsgård modeling the winning t-shirt designs and a bit of info about the contest itself:

Alexander Skarsgård would like to see the fund raising in his honor go to SOS Children's Villages, an organization that focuses on family-based, long-term care of children who can no longer grow up with their biological families. At SOS Children's Villages and SOS Youth Facilities they experience reliable relationships and love once again, meaning that they can recover from what they have experienced, which has often been traumatic. They grow up in a stable family environment, and are supported individually until they become independent young adults. We will be working with the SOS Swedish branch (Alexander's native country) to fund a Children's Village in Bovary, Ukraine.

Not only am I impressed by the ability of a network of fan websites to organize a contest like this but I am also impressed by the willingness of these actors to play along and participate. And how much did fans raise to get these guys to model these t-shirts? Team Bill raised $35,043 while Team Eric raised $34,223. Congrats to the winners for their hard work and kudos all around for finding a very fun way to raise much needed funds for two important charities. Aren’t these photos great?

Personal Photos Of Christina Aguilera Leak To The Internets

Personal and sometimes racy photos of Christina Aguilera made their way to the Internets yesterday after, it is being claimed, they were obtained by a mysterious hacker and released online. According to Aguilera herself, the photos were stolen from the computer of Xtina‘s personal stylist. While I have not seen any nekkid photos, per se, some of the pics are somewhat risqué … and Xtina is not happy about the leak. Here are a couple of the more benign photos and the full text of Xtina‘s official statement on the photo leak:

“The photos of Christina Aguilera being leaked to the press were illegally obtained by a hacker who tapped into Christina’s personal stylist’s account. The photos were taken in the privacy of Ms. Aguilera’s home and were used only in a personal exchange between the star and her stylist. We are attempting to determine the identity of the hackers and will pursue them aggressively. Their conduct is reprehensible.”

While I can totally understand the outrage at being violated in this way (i.e. having one’s personal property stolen and then disseminated online), the photos are not as provocative as some official photos of Xtina that I have seen in years past. NOT that I am condoning the theft of these photos … I’m just saying it could’ve been a lot worse. Something tells me that Xtina prolly does have other racier photos on her computer somewhere … hopefully she’ll put those babies on lockdown.

In other Xtina news, she and her new boyfriend Matthew Rutler returned home to SoCal jetted off to Madrid, Spain this week after the pair jetted off to Japan at the end of last week so that she could do some promo work for her new film Burlesque. It’s unclear if Xtina‘s “racy” photos had already leaked online by the time she and Matt arrived back home in SoCal but I’m certain she was none-too-pleased to have to deal with the brouhaha after her quick trip to Japan. Then again, as the old adage says, there’s no such thing as bad press … mebbe she’s not personally as upset as her official statement suggests. At least she is home again … and hopefully there’ll be no more leaking of personal photos to be had.
