This just keeps getting creepier and creepier! Reportedly, Katie had been trying to break free from Tom's grasp for a YEAR until she was able to FINALLY file for divorce on Thursday!! Recently, a source dropped a bombshell, revealing:

| Charlie Sheen's Former Assistant And Party Pal Found Dead Posted: 02 Jul 2012 12:50 PM PDT The man who may or may not have fueled some of Charlie Sheen's wildest benders over the years has been found dead from an unknown cause. Rick Calamaro, the actor's former assistant, had been dead for days before cops found him in his apartment with "numerous pain medications and an open bottle of alcohol." So sad! Clearly, this guy needed help and we wish he could have gotten it. Sheen fired him last December for being a "bad influence" after Calamaro reportedly supplied his drug habit for years. They were even partying together in 2010 when Sheen notoriously destroyed a suite at the Plaza Hotel in NYC. Bad influence or not, it's a shame he had to end up this way. Rest in peace, Rick! | Ted Beats Box Office Record Set By The Hangover Posted: 02 Jul 2012 12:40 PM PDT Universal must be happy to be in business with Seth MacFarlane! The Family Guy creator's directorial debut Ted made $54,107,495 over the weekend and beat the box office record set by The Hangover in 2009. In fact, Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis' movie has claimed the highest-grossing opening for a non-sequel, R-rated comedy. Not too shabby! Along with Magic Mike's $39,155,000 opening weekend and another $34,011,000 from Brave, The Avengers has FINALLY been knocked out of the top ten titles at the weekend box office. Not too far though. Marvel's ultimate superhero movie is still sitting pretty at number 11 on the chart eight weeks after being released. Did U go to the theater to see a stuffed bear swear or watch Channing Tatum revisit his stripper past this weekend? |

We think Naomi Watts looks absolutely STUNNING in her portrayal of the celebrated international heroine, director Oliver Hirschbiegel certainly cast the right gal. The film, Caught in Flight, tells the story of Princess Di's last years, including her well-publicized divorce with Prince Charles and affair with heart surgeon Hasnat Khan. Naomi has huge, sparkly shoes to fill ... but she looks perfectly at ease to us in this first glimpse! We told you Beyonce won the BET Award for Best Female R&B Artist last night and now we learned she was furious when she gave her acceptance speech!! Posted: 02 Jul 2012 12:00 PM PDT And with every revelation, this sounds less and less like a divorce and more and more like an escape. Within a few short days of calling her marriage to Tom Cruise quits, Katie Holmes has already taken massive steps to separate herself from the actor and his grip over her life - by firing the security team he assigned for her AND the talent agency she signed to when they got together! Although the actress was photographed out with her old bodyguard and driver - who both worked with Tom before he even met her - as recently as last Tuesday, she made her first public appearance on the streets of NYC today with a new security detail comprised of five men! And given all the craziness and reports of her being tracked by the army of Xenu, we don't blame her! On top of that, she has fired Slate PR, which took her on as a client after her 2006 wedding, and RE-SIGNED with BWR Public Relations, the company that represented her before the switch! They announced today in a statement:

The actress is asking for sole custody of Suri, so she can get her away from Scientology -- but it's going to take a miracle to make that happen. A source close to the newly freed actress reveals:
As adamant as Katie is about getting Suri out of the church, daddy Tom Cruise is just as -- if not more -- convinced that Scientology is exactly what his 6-year-old needs. Our insider says the only way Katie is getting her way, is over Tom's dead body:
Rumor has it Tom wanted to send Suri away to a Scientology boarding school on a ship! The Scientology ship was the last thing they fought over before the spilt, and -- from what we hear -- the fight is not close to being over! Of course, Katie isn't not be able to use Tom's religion against him in family court, so she's gonna have to come up with other reasons he is an unfit parent. | Facebook Adds Same-Sex Marriage Icons For Gay Married Couples Posted: 02 Jul 2012 11:20 AM PDT Yay! Just in time for Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes (left) to marry his longtime love, Sean Eldridge (right), in New York City last Saturday, the social networking website has introduced marriage status icons that depict same-sex couples. When openly gay couples changed their status to "married" in the past, an icon of a man and woman appeared in the timeline. Now, however, the icon will represent two men or two women accordingly. The recent update follows last year's addition of "In a Civil Union" and "In a Domestic Partnership" to users' "Relationship Status" feature. Considering Facebook has become a permanent fixture in our society, we see this as just another sign that change IS coming and equality is right around the corner.
