The mansion photographed above was purchased by a Hollyweird couple for millions of dollars higher than the asking price!! Can you guess who? It’s our favorite swirl couple…Heidi and Seal: Supermodel Heidi Klum, 37, and her 47 year-old musician husband Seal have found their dream house. In a sign the couple were really taken with the property, they paid even more than the asking price of $13.4 million.The couple are in the process of buying the mansion in the Los Angeles area, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pair were instantly taken with the 12,300 square-foot Mediterranean-style house in the upmarket suburb of Brentwood, which is popular with stars like Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner and Reese Witherspoon. Rebecca Ross, an estate agent at Hilton & Hyland who had the listing for the property, has refused to confirm the name of the buyer but she did admit that it had sold for ‘significantly more than the asking price’.'There were multiple buyers interested, so there was a bidding war,’ she added. There will plenty of room for all the children too, since there are eight bedrooms in the luxurious home. The beautiful couple, who have been married for five years are raising four children: Leni, six, Henry, five, Johan, three, and 13-month-old Lou.Previously owned by an investment banker, the house was put on the market in October after failing to sell at a June auction. It may also have a couple of pieces of history hidden away inside. The kitchen comes with a fireplace imported from Scotland dating back to 1603.Also the library boasts a fireplace that is supposed to have originally graced Napoleon’s home in France. The mansion is part of the highly-exclusive Brentwood Country Estates gated community in the Mandeville Canyon area and neighbours include California Governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his TV journalist wife Maria Shriver. NY Charity Says Diddy Did Them Dirty Over Money Posted: 06 Dec 2010 05:28 AM PST Why is it that people still haven’t learned to make sure their contract situation is straight when dealing with Diddy and his dirty money yet? An NY charity is upset with Mr. Combs following a breast cancer fundraiser he hosted last month. While the host waltzed off with a five-figure fee from the Glo nightclub in Westbury on Oct. 14, “We never got a penny,” said Carolyn Spector, director of the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group Foundation, which does breast-reconstruction and other operations for underprivileged patients. “Nothing was written down, but we were told we would get part of the take,” she said. “The terminology was ‘proceeds from the event.’ “ A staffer for the other charity, 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition, said, “It’s just a little embarrassing. People say, ‘How much did you raise for your programs?’ And we say, ‘We haven’t seen anything yet.’ “ There was plenty of money coming in that night, the organizations allege, saying guests were charged $10 at the door and $1,000 to sit with Diddy in a VIP area of Glo, a swanky club that holds more than 2,000. “By 1 a.m., the place was packed,” said Spector. The event, touted by the nightclub as a charitable takeoff of P. Diddy’s fabled “White Party” in the Hamptons, asked that guests wear a “splash of pink” in honor of October being the month of breast-cancer awareness. But Diddy, who promotes himself as a staunch advocate of breast-cancer causes, created a flap when he showed up not wear ing any pink or even realizing he was ex pected to. But he did walk off with a “consider able amount of money” for playing host, according to a spokesper son for Glo, which came up with the idea for the party. Diddy declined to say how much he pocketed. The charities said they were told it was $80,000. The mogul — whose reported net worth is $380 million, and who Forbes estimated earned $30 million last year — said he did nothing wrong and doesn’t owe the charities a thing. “I didn’t know what the [club] owner promised — that had nothing to do with me,” he told The Post. “I had no information about the charity. When the event was booked, it was just for an appearance. I agreed to let him add the charity because I thought it was a good idea.” John Smythe, whose father, John Sr., owns Glo, said the club offered Spector and Geri Barish, the director of 1 in 9, a table where they could ask for handouts. The two then ordered drinks and wandered off, he claimed. “They were working a table for donations,” he said. “But they left the table later and start drinking. Seemed like they were into partying.” “That’s just a bunch of crapola,” Spector shot back. She said the charities were given a verbal promise of a portion of revenue from the bar or door. “There was never any question of my setting up a table and trying to fund-raise on my own. That’s not the way we operate. There weren’t even chairs for us to sit down on. And I didn’t have anything to drink.” A Glo spokeswoman then called the paper with a different story. “It was agreed that if there was a profit, a portion of it would be given to the charity,” said flack Danielle Orsino. “But the night of the event, there was a torrential rainstorm. Since Rich Folks Can’t Get In On The Action, GOP Votes No On Tax Cuts For The Rest Of Us Posted: 05 Dec 2010 10:19 AM PST Remember all that “Barack Obama’s out of touch with the common man” nonsense the Republicans bring up whenever given a chance? They’re looking like hypocrites right now. The Senate on Saturday rejected two Democratic proposals to let tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans expire, a symbolic but bitter defeat that now forces the Democratic majority to compromise with Republicans or risk allowing tax breaks to lapse for virtually everyone at year’s end. Efforts quickly shifted to negotiations that would temporarily extend the Bush-era tax cuts for all Americans, an outcome that seemed increasingly likely. The pair of nearly party-line votes – one to preserve the tax cuts for only the first $250,000 of family income, and the other for the first $1 million of income – also represented a final stand for Democrats as the session winds down and political posturing gives way to pragmatic dealmaking. All of these issues were pushed aside during a contentious midterm election season, only to re-emerge as bargaining chips as the White House and congressional leaders now scramble to wrap up unfinished business. As Senate Democrats staged their tax votes Saturday, Republicans engaged in behind-the-scenes talks with the Obama administration on a compromise plan to extend all the breaks, enacted under President George W. Bush, for two to three years. Obama had favored the Democratic approach of preserving only the middle-class breaks, but pledged after the votes that he and other negotiators would “roll up our sleeves” starting this weekend to cut a deal. SMH, that’s some straight up bully sh*t if we’ve ever seen it. “With so much at stake, today’s votes cannot be the end of the discussion,” Obama said. “We need to redouble out efforts to resolve this impasse.” According to the White House, the president told Democratic Congressional leaders that he was open to compromise but would oppose even a temporary extension of the Bush-era tax cuts if it did not include an extension of unemployment benefits and extensions of the other tax cuts that benefit middle-class families.
