The Young, Black, and Fabulous

The Young, Black, and Fabulous

PARTY GIRLS: Christina Milian, Baby Violet, & Amerie

Posted: 06 Dec 2010 07:59 AM PST

The cuteness that is Violet Nash hit the red carpet for the ABC Family Winter Wonderland Holiday party this weekend at Rockefeller Center in NYC with her fab mama Christina Milian.  And we've got the pics of the ladies in their Holiday red, plus pics of Amerie partying it up with her fiance in London when you read on...

I can't take all this cuteness!

Christina rocked this fab red dress and black heels.

And her santa hat of course.

She's starring in the ABC Family Holiday movie Christmas Cupid alongside actor Chad Michael Murray on December 12th at 8p ET/PT.  I admit--I watch every holiday movie on ABC Family and Lifetime.  And I loved Chris' last Holiday movie...so I'll be watching.

Over in London:

Amerie rolled to the Payer's Club with her fiance/manager Lenny to party and perform.

Why does she look scared of her fans?

She looks cute nonetheless.  Did her album ever come out??

MORNING BITS: Gucci's New Facial Tatts, Dawn Richard's Fashion Shoot, Diggy's Sneaker Pimps Performance

Posted: 06 Dec 2010 07:30 AM PST

Looks like Gucci Mane's back to his old self again.  Over the weekend, he partied it up at Primal Nightclub in the ATL.  And he showed off his new facial tattoos...and the re0emergence of his gold teeth.  Ugh.

Pics of him, plus Dawn Richard's new fashion shoot and Diggy's weekend performance, when you read on...

And he looked so clean when he got out of jail a few months ago.  But Gucci must have been anxious to get back to his gold teeth and extra tatted up look.  He partied with Slimm and Mr. Plush of Plush Blue Entertainment this weekend with new forehead and under eye tatts.  Oh, and those dirty gold teeth reappeared.

I just understand who thinks this ish is cute and why.

In other news, Dawn Richard of Dirty Money was busy this weekend performing on "SNL" and making a new mixtape.  Plus, she did this new fashion photoshoot with creative director Daver Campbell.

She rocked Christian Dior, Zac Posen (above), Marc Jacobs, and others for the shoot styled by her stylist Ugo Mozie.  Apparently, Andre Leon Talley says she's the upcoming fashion "it" girl.  Oh really?

A few more behind the scenes pics.  About the shoot, Daver tells us Dawn was channeling the 1930's era (Josephine Backer and Marlene Dietrich, women who adapted the man power suite and made it feminine and translated there sex appeal to the suite). Then, "she transitions into a beautiful strong sexy woman."

Little Simmons is on the move on the music scene:

Diggy performed live for Sneaker Pimps NYC 2010 this weekend. Check out his performance of "Great Expectations". Go Diggy!

Celebs Glitz It Up For Kennedy Center Honors

Posted: 06 Dec 2010 06:10 AM PST

It was Oprah's big night as she--and others like Beatle Paul McCartney and choreographer Bill T. Jones--received the prestigous Kennedy Center Honors Award in Washington D.C.

We've got pics of the glamorous O and her celebrity friends like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Rock, and President & First Lady Obama making their arrivals to the Kennedy Center Hall of States when you read on...

I see O is bringing Stedman out of the basement more often these days.  Just kidding.  Love when she has him by her side though.

She looked great last night arriving with her award around her neck.  Even though I think she could have left out the corset belt.

President & First Lady Obama hosted the festivities.  And POTUS played double duty as Oprah is one of his besties.  So he also spoke on her behalf.

Mrs. Obama looked stunning in her scarlet and beaded gown.

Chris and Malaak Rock arrived for the event:

I'm not the biggest fan of facial hair, but it kinda works for Chris.  I think.  And Malaak looked beautiful in this royal blue ruffled hem strapless gown.

Past honoree Diana Ross made her silvery arrival like the diva that she is.

And she hit the red carpet with her son Evan Ross.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived with his wife.

Jennifer Hudson look svelte and sexy on the red carpet last night:

Both looks are simple and chic.

Tyrese Gibson made his arrival with Elaine Wynn (philanthropist ex-wife of hotel billionaire Steve Wynn).

Honoree Bill T. Jones hit the carpet with his partner Bjorn Amelan.

Holly Robinson Peete got bold in red last night.

And so did Oprah's other bestie Gayle King.

And embattled Representative Charles Rangal arrived to the event with his wife.

Oprah Winfrey, Beatle Paul McCartney, dancer-choreographer Bill T. Jones, country singer Merle Haggard and Broadway composer Jerry Herman each earned the arts awards not only for their talents, but also for bringing people together.

FIGHT CLUB: Mike Epps Whoops Ass In A Detroit Club Over His Wife!

Posted: 06 Dec 2010 05:10 AM PST

It wasn't all laughs and fun and games for comedian/actor Mike Epps and his wife Michelle last weekend in Detroit.  The Hangover and Lottery Ticket star had to whoop some ass when Michelle's privacy was being invaded.

Weve got the deets, and some video, when you read on...

I never thought I'd be able to take Mike Epps seriously.  But I'm sure this paparazzo does now.  While Mike hosted a b-day dinner for Michelle/afterparty for his show at the Key Club in downtown Detroit last weekend (11/27), he told everyone there could be no cameras.

Since one dude in particular wouldn't listen, he got beat down by Mr. Epps and got his camera snatched.  Peep the vid:

Mike said to TMZ about the incident:

"It was a private celebration for my wife's birthday. I asked the photographer numerous times not to film, but he refused to let up. I then attempted to retrieve the tape from the camera."

Attempted to retrieve the tape?  That's an understatement.  His tweets right before the incident were inviting his followers to come party with him and "smoke something with ya boy."  They also said it was his 40th birthday celebration.

But we're not mad.  Rep for your woman Mike!  Security!

Posted: 05 Dec 2010 10:19 AM PST

Willow Smith whipped her candy cane hair into the holiday spirit performing alongside Seal and Stevie Wonder at the Holiday Tree Lighting last night and we have pics for you inside...

The Holiday Tree Lighting & Grand Opening Of The LA Kings Holiday Ice At L.A. LIVE was yesterday in Los Angeles, CA:

Willow rocked her hair like peppermint sticks and posed with Santa.

Then she whipped her peppermint sticks on stage.

And of course, a proud papa Will Smith was spotted in the audience cheering his daughter on with friend Billy Bush.

Seal got in some face time with Santa as well.

Then he later hit the stage.

And Stevie Wonder was greeted by Santa's helpers.

Right before he closed out the show. Fun Holiday times.

Diddy And Dirty Money Perform On SNL + Diddy Accused Of Stiffing Two Breast Cancer Charities Of Donations?!

Posted: 05 Dec 2010 09:56 AM PST

Last night Diddy stopped by "SNL" with Dirty Money to perform on the Robert De Niro hosted episode.  See the performances inside plus get the deets on why two charities are saying the mogul ruined their fundraisers...

Swizz Beatz was a surprise guest on "SNL" as he joined Diddy and Dirty Money to perform "Ass on the Floor":

When they returned later in the show, Diddy and Dirty Money performed their latest song, "Coming Home."

And speaking of Diddy,

Two organizations are claiming their got stiffed out of monetary donations at a Diddy hosted party last month.

The Long Island Plastic Surgical Group Foundation and 1 in 9: The Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition both say they were promised proceeds from  a "Pink Party" event for breast cancer, but their charities have received nothing.   Meanwhile, sources tell the NY Post that Diddy received nearly $80,000 for hosting the event.

Held at the Glo nightclub in Westbury, Ny on Oct. 14, Carolyn Spector of The Long Island Plastic Surgical Group Foundation said "We never got a penny.  Nothing was written down, but we were told we would get part of the take.  The terminology was 'proceeds from the event. "

But that didn't happen as John Smythe, whose father, John Sr., owns Glo, sat the two charities at a table where they could ask for handouts. But then the charity reps ordered drinks and wandered off, John claimed.

"They were working a table for donations.  But they left the table later and start drinking. Seemed like they were into partying," he said.

"That's just a bunch of crapola," Carolyn Spector fired back.

"There was never any question of my setting up a table and trying to fund-raise on my own. That's not the way we operate. There weren't even chairs for us to sit down on. And I didn't have anything to drink."

Now the charities are upset because they feel stiffed out of donations while Diddy pocketed a five-figure fee.

In response, Diddy told the NY Post he did nothing wrong and doesn't owe the charities a thing.

"I didn't know what the [club] owner promised -- that had nothing to do with me.  I had no information about the charity. When the event was booked, it was just for an appearance. I agreed to let him add the charity because I thought it was a good idea."

SMH.  Seems like Diddy isn't at fault and the charities want to blame a high-profile celeb for their bad business arrangement.  Shake them haters off Diddy.
