Apparently the chemistry from the sexy State Farm insurance commerical has spilled over into real life as Victoria's Secret beauty Selita Ebanks and Calvin Klein model Mehcad Brooks were spotted getting cozy.  The twosome were spotted at Whiskey Blue at the W Atlanta Buckhead sharing a bottle of Hennessy and strawberries. Strawberries eh?

Then they hit the dance floor where a witness told the NY Post, "They were dancing very close and seemed to be enjoying each other's company."

Hmmm.  Selita's been linked to everybody from Kanye to athletes.  And Mehcad had a brunette girlfriend last time we checked.  But you never know...

When Brokeness Hits....Cypress Hill Member Sues Gamemaker

A member of the rap group Cypress Hill (if you don't know who they are...I officially feel OLD) has filed suit against gamemakers Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive Software claiming they based a character from the popular game Grand Theft Auto on his life and have never compensated him.  Get the deets inside...

 

Michael "Shagg" Washington, who's a back-up performer with Cypress Hill, says his likeness and image have been stolen to create a popular gaming character and he's now demanding 25 percent of the game's profits. 

Michael claims a friend introduced him to developers of Grand Theft Auto in 2003, and they asked him about street life. According to the complaint:

"The plaintiff, who had led a troubled life in his youth, responded to their questions and related details of his life. The plaintiff told them about details of his street life including how the teen-agers in his gang rode around on bicycles ... After almost two hours of questioning which covered many topics of gang and street life, the meeting ended and the plaintiff was allowed to leave," Washington says he "was told that if they chose to use him in the game, he would be notified."

But because Michael never played video games, it was only in July 2010 did he learn about "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," and its lead character, "CJ."  Upon seeing the character, Michael said it was clear that Rockstar (the developer of Grand Theft Auto) had stolen his image and never paid him. 

So now Michael says "as the lead character, profits attributable to the use of his image, and for the use of his story are twenty-five percent of profits earned," or $250 million, for fraud, misappropriation of likeness and copyright infringement.  Ummm.....good luck with that.  But maybe dude deserves a counsulting fee?

For their part, Take Two issued the following statement to news outlets: “The Company believes the lawsuit is completely without merit and will vigorously defend itself in the matter.”

Well looky here.  Brandy's been telling anyone who'll listen that she needs a man.  And she's looking for that "Jay-Z and Beyonce type of love".  And it looks like chick is really trying her best to work at that.

 

B-Rocka was spotted snuggling courtside with BET VJ/actor Terrence J. at last night's Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.  We've got the pics when you read on...

Brandy Tweeted a pic of herelf and Terrence last night and said "At the Knicks game with my homie!! Fun times :)".  We see...

We're not saying anything serious is going on just yet, but we do know we don't neck snuggle with our "strictly platonic friends".  Just sayin'....

They snapped pics and laughed it up with designer Vera Wang and friends.

A man does love a chick who's just as passionate about sports as he is.  So we hear...

Keri Hilson: I Don't Date Rappers, I Have A Brain

Keri Hilson hit up "Chelsea Lately" last night to pub this new sexed up album of hers No Boys Allowed.  And when asked about why she doesn't date rappers, she broke down her reasons.

 

Some folks are saying she was taking swipes at certain chicks in the game who do date rappers.  Read on for the video clip...

Chelsea asked, "So you won't date a rapper, is that right?"

Keri's response: "When you mix a man who has popularity, who has money, who has b*tches, that's a scary thing for me.  It doesn't speak to my insecurities, it's just not the type of man that I want and I think I'm not the type of girl they want.  I have a brain, I'm a little more than they bargained for."

I personally don't think she was purposely taking shots at anyone.  It just sounded like her opinion, and if it happens to apply to certain chicks in the game, then so be it. 

On a side note, she looked cute on the show though.

Fantasia and Kandi Burruss are good friends who clearly like to share.  Remember when we posted that "homewrecker's anthem" called "Lucky" Fantasia scrapped from her most recent album Back To Me?  Well it looks like Kandi picked it up and ran with it.

Birthday Girl Reginae Carter Celebrates With Mom Toya, Dad Weezy, Tiny, Diggy Simmons, & More

It was a party fit for a 12-year-old princess.  Reginae Carter and all her friends and fam partied it up for her birthday at Ludacris' restaurant Straits in the ATL.

 

Pics of 'Nae, her mom Toya, her possible future stepdad Memphitz, Tiny, Diggy Simmons, and others when you read on...

 

'Nae rocked her pink sequins top and tulle skirt and combat boots and tiara for her all pink and black look.

Antonia Carter pulled out her best sheen heavy skirt suit and printed tights for "her little princess"'s 12th birthday.  Toya's still rocking that fat diamond on her engagement finger, and her man Memphitz was there too.

Tiny and her fire engine red hair were there too of course.

And Tiny's daughter, Zonnique, and the other OMG Girlz went to party with their friend.

Pops Weezy came through for his oldest.

And so did his mom.

Cute.

Baby brought his daughter along.

Oh hey Nivea.  I see she and Toya shared their packs of hair.

Diggy is just too cute.

BREAKING: Aretha Franklin Has Pancreatic Cancer

We reported a while back that the 68-year-old Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, had to cancel some shows due to an undisclosed health issue, now media reports have revealed that the issue is pancreatic cancer.  Find out the deets inside...

 

Earlier today, The Detroit News cited a source familiar Aretha's situation for the cancer diagnosis, an illness which the report pointed out has a poor prognosis.  And also, the Fox affiliate station in Detroit, where she calls home and her current residence, gave the same diagnosis citing a close relative as the source. Their report said she was doing "OK."

Our prayers go out to the Queen and her family.

MUSIC FAB: Soulja Boy Goes WOOD First Week Out, Spends $3 Million On Gold Chains

Though music insiders never expected one-hit wonder, Soulja Boy, to make it to three studio albums, the first week sales of his latest project may suggest the party's over.  Find out how much The DeAndre Way moved inside...

 

Many people are suggesting that the The DeAndre Way went womp womp its first week out.  The DeAndre Way album debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 chart at number 79 with 13,000 copies sold.  And though nobody sells units like they did in the late 90s, the 13,000 units sold by Soulja Boy his first week out is a flop by any standards. 

And of course, the next single could be a blockbuster and make the album platinum, but, for now, it is what it is.  At least he has his collection of gold chains to be proud of.

In a recent interview with MTV, Soulja says he has spent about three million dollars in total on all of his jewels. Is it worth it?  DeAndre seems to think so saying,

“Nah man.  Gold is the best thing going, all the people that’s watching, honestly … all of my jewelry together … gold is where it’s at.”

I'm sure there are at least a few stock brokers who may agree.  But who knows. I wish someone would tell him to diversify his assets.  But...I guess it would be hard to rock a 4-story brownstone on-stage.  And impressing other people is the most important thing right?

The paps never cease to amaze me with where they hide their cameras.  Anywho, the Mr. and Mrs. grabbed a relaxing dinner at Stokehouse restaurant in the beachy St Kilda, Melbourne.  Maybe they'll run into Oprah while they're there...

Guess Which Rappers Are In Trouble?? AGAIN !

Rappers are always in and out of legal trouble and we've got the latest on the drama with Jeezy, Jim Jones, and Nicki Minaj. Find out more when you read on...

 

Jim Jones pleaded guilty to assault charge resulting from a car crash on Tuesday. After the car crash, Jones attacked the driver, pushed him into the highway twice, and threw his car keys into oncoming traffic. Jones agreed to take a 10 week management course. He seemed to agree with the verdict tweeting, "Anger mngment was the result, smh. well duhhhh been needing tht."

Jones also said that it's best people focus on his positive community service, like a 12 week high school course that he teaches about the music industry. 

Let's hope Jimmy, who's had a history of run-ins with the law, learns from his anger management classes.

 

 

 

Young Jeezy was arrested in the Bahamas over the weekend. No word on what the rapper did to cause his arrest yet.  But the streets have been buzzing saying weed is involved. Jeezy was slated to perform a concert there, but was taken into the police station instead. Reports say that Jeezy was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was arrested and released the same day, and later performed at a club.   Go figure.

 

 

Some government officials in Trinidad are heated about Nicki Minaj's recent concert in the country.  Nicki's not in trouble herslf, but the promoters of the Localise Itt Concert she was a part of, are. 

The government claims the island was overcharged for her performance. Out of the $825k budget for the show, Nicki and her entourage received close to $400k.  The event planners-- Daryl Braxton of D Project Records and Sport and Youth Affairs Minister Anil Roberts--also paid $60k for Nicki to stay at Hilton Hotel.

The government has now called for an official audit of the event organizers and the concert. The promoters claim that the expenses were justified because of the amount of exposure the country has received since it was featured on Nicki's new MTV documentary.  The government says that because of the expensive concert, there is no money left to hold community events such as a health fair and peace march. 

Well that's a doozy.  But, to be fair, being mad at Nicki actually doesn't make sense.  She has her rider and requests just like any other artist, and it's up to the promoter if they want to pay it or not.  And the promoters did. So...

 

Speaking of Nicki, here's her new video preview with Kanye and co. for "Monster".  The full vid drops soon.  And by the way, today she's celebrating her 26th birthday. I wonder what her gifts will be....

VACAY FAB: Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure...With Her Studio Audience In Tow

As we reported earlier, Oprah whisked her entire audience off for a 10-day vacation in Australia.  The giddy and lucky folks have finally arrived to the continent.  And we've got the pics.  See Oprah living fab in the land down under inside...

 

While escorting 100 of her fans down under, Oprah was seen visiting a koala bear area (let the uber cuteness ensue!) to the exclusive island resort of Hamilton Island.

And of course, best friend Gayle King made the trip too.  Doubt this hat is gonna help that wig you insist on rocking Gayle.  Heart you anyway....

And chef Curtis Stone made a BBQ lunch for Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure studio audience while they were on Whitehaven Beach, near Hamilton Island, Queensland, Australia.

 

Looks like a fun trip.  I wonder if she's still going to be doing the most for The Oprah Winfrey Network.  Loves it.
