Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes & Suri Enjoy A Relaxing Family Vacay Together

The TomKat family — Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Suri — spent part of their weekend in South Beach, FL chillin’ out by the pool together. As you can see from the photos below, daddy Tom spent some time teaching his TomKitten how to swim while mama Katie lounged near the pool. It looks like the fam had a blast soaking up the sun together as they relaxed on holiday.


As much grief as I like to give Tom, Katie and Suri, I’m happy to see them looking so happy. The family may have started out under very strange circumstances but they seem to have weathered the controversy just fine and have settled into a life of normalcy. I’m actually relieved that Tom isn’t spouting his craziness in public anymore (tho, he did provide amazing fodder for the blog over the years) because now I can go back to liking him again. Is that wrong? In any event, these photos of the TomKat family chillin’ out at the pool are just cute. While I’m still not 100% convinced that Suri isn’t a robot, I will say she makes a very cute little cyborg-like alien child … who is, apparently, waterproof. So darling!

Filming Production On Season 2 Of ‘Hawaii Five-0′ Is Underway

Filming production is in full swing on the Hawaiian set of Hawaii Five-0 which returns with its second season this Fall. In addition to a cute photo of stars Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Cann holding hands (awwww!), a photo has surfaced on Twitter that shows the return of a villain character played by a Buffyverse alum that we all know and love. Check out the photos below.


I really loved the premiere season of Hawaii Five-0 so I’m excited for its return. I also really REALLY love that James Marsters was cast as a major villain because he will likely keep popping up on the show from time to time. After a few failed attempts with other CBS shows, I’m so happy that O’Loughlin finally found success with Five-0. He is a great actor and is really nice to look at on a weekly basis. The season 1 cliffhanger was so incredible, I can’t wait for this show to return with all new eps!

Toucan’s Tiki Lounge Is Where It’s At

So yesterday was our first (and only) full day here in Palm Springs, CA and while the temps were HOT as Hades, we managed to have a pretty fun time. Our friend Josh came out to Palm Springs for the weekend too so he hung out with us all day at the pool and all night at the club. The late night dancing options here in the desert are severly limited but we made the most of it. There was a lot of booze to keep the night well lubricated … ’twas fun, ’twas fun.


If you ever find yourself in Palm Springs and you’re lookin’ for a bitchin’ dance club, Toucan’s Tiki Lounge is NOT the place for you. But, because it’s like the only option, I guess you gotta make do. The DJ was pretty bad but he did, at least, play a few good songs. By the time the bachelorette party overtook the dancefloor (with huge inflatable penis in hand) it was time to bounce.


Late night desert turned into late night photobooth fun. We crashed out soon after and awoke today to, surprise, another scorching day! Because Carmageddon is ending early and the 405 highway is opening early back in LA, we’re leaving for home today. The weekend was fun but my guess is that Palm Springs is much more fun … in the Winter. I’m anxious to get back home … so, I’m out.

The Batmobile Surfaces On The Pittsburgh Set Of ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’

Altho filming production is currently underway in London on the set of Batman: The Dark Knight Rises, there has been movement and activity on the Pittsburgh, PA set of the film as well. This week, the Batmobile surfaced on set … which, IMHO, is a welcome sight indeed. As you can see from the photo below, the Batmobile that will be used in The Dark Knight Rises is the same one that has been used in the previous two Batman films … which menas this trilogy of films will mark the first time the same Batmobile has been used in a single Batman film franchise.

The Batmobile returns to the big screen when it rides onto the Pittsburgh set of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. The use of Nolan's Tumbler in The Dark Knight Rises marks the first time in Batman movie history that we've seen a consistent Batmobile through the entire run of the franchise. Historically, the images released for the Batmobile have been one of the most anticipated sights from upcoming projects, including the Batman Live theater show. Normally, we'll see an updated model to reflect higher tech of the day, so this is a nice change of pace. In the leaked images, not only do we see the return of The Dark Knight's Tumbler, which was introduced in Batman Begins, but we also see the return of The Bat Pod. The Bat Pod which was introduced in The Dark Knight as a fail safe for the destruction of The Tumbler, but whether or not they will be used separately or if the The Tumbler will be destroyed is still a mystery. I, for one, hope that we will see them used separately because I, like most fans, love the tanked out version of the Batmobile. I'm really happy by this news, but it doesn't excite or surprise me. I expected this. Nolan has taken a realistic look at Gotham City and Batman as a character. So a flashier, edgier, updated version of the Batmobile doesn't make sense. Batman would probably use the existing model, not add fins, or weird ribbing and lights. It just makes sense.

I am a big fan of this Batmobile design. I’m glad they’ve decided to keep it. It’s the first Batmobile that, because of its military look, feels like it could be an actual vehicle. I’m really looking forward to Batman filming production getting underway here in the US. The photos from the London set are too few and far between. I understand portions of The Dark Knight Rises will be filmed in Detroit, MI so that will be awesome. Can’t wait to see more!

Jennifer Lopez Reportedly Dumped Marc Anthony Right Before She Met The British Royal Couple

On Friday we learned that Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony decided to end their marriage of 7 years but today we are hearing that the couple very likely split up before Friday. According to a new report out this weekend, it is rumored that J. Lo dumped Marc Anthony just before she got to meet Prince William and Kate Middleton at the BAFTA event in LA last weekend. As you may recall, Jen brought her mother Guadalupe to the event to meet the royals … Marc was curiously absent.

It should have been the glittering highlight of their seven-year union. Multi-millionaire superstars Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were due to be guests of honour at the top table with Prince William and Kate at last weekend's glittering Bafta gala in Hollywood. Instead, J-Lo sashayed down the red carpet in a provocatively clinging green Pucci gown accompanied by her mother, Guadalupe, a former kindergarten teacher from the Bronx. She was also missing her wedding ring. Royal aides, along with the singer-actress's millions of fans, were mystified. But on Friday night in a statement issued through J-Lo's publicist, the couple, worth an estimated £240 million, announced they are to divorce. They called the decision 'painful' and 'difficult'. But The Mail on Sunday has spoken to several of the couple's closest confidantes and can reveal they began to drift apart three years after their marriage in June 2004. 'This is not a surprise,' J-Lo's stylist Phillip Bloch said in an exclusive interview last night. 'Marc is very controlling. In the beginning she liked that because he stood up to her, and in the early days he was very much in love with her and she was with him.' But the couple are said to have begun to squabble soon after 41-year-old J-Lo's mother moved into their Long Island, New York mansion in 2008 to help look after their newborn twins. 'They also clashed when she learned he owed millions in unpaid taxes on the Long Island estate,' said film-maker Ed Meyer, an associate of J-Lo's first husband, Cuban-born club-owner Ojani Noa. 'The other problem was that they couldn't agree where to live. J-Lo's career is in Hollywood and she wanted to live in their Malibu mansion and Marc loved New York. She was going to move to New York in a last-ditch effort to save the marriage. But last Monday I heard it was all over.'

You know, I thought it was kinda weird that Marc wasn’t in attendance at the BAFTA event to meet the royals. I guess I just assumed he was bizzy or at home with the kids. In the wake of this break-up news, it makes sense that J. Lo decided to bring her mother to the event. It seems curious that Jen would choose to not wear her wedding ring to such a high profile event if she was trying to keep the break-up news quiet but, whatevs … no one really noticed anyway. After 3 failed marriages, I hope Jenny from the Block takes her time before she hooks up with someone else. Maybe she’s better off single? In any event, I just hope things work out for the best for everyone involved … especially the kiddies.

She’s a little DOLL! I love her!! I also LOVE that both Becks and VB decided to share the first photos of their daughter on their social network sites. I mentioned yesterday that I suspected that Les Beckhams might release the first photos of Harper Seven via social media … I just didn’t expect the first photo(s) to come so soon. In any event, now we know what the beautiful baby Beckham girl looks like. She’s a cutie!
