Did L.A. Reid Say He Only Wants To Work With Good Looking People At Epic Records?

In an effort to "keep it sexy" insiders joke that L.A. Reid only wants good looking people working in his office at Epic Records. Get the deets inside....

With the premiere of "X-Factor" set to make him a household name, L.A. Reid has taken over Epic Records as CEO, but his arrival didn't come without a list of demands.

A source told the NY Post that L.A. said to a group of label executives, "I don't want no ugly people working here; I only want good-looking people."

While the execs hoped the meeting would be about the label's music artists like Usher and Ciara, they found L.A. using the meeting to focus on "appearances."

"Reid's thing is keeping it sexy," another source said.  And one industry vet told the Post,

"He considers himself an artist, which means he expects to be treated like a VIP. He's incredibly difficult, and many people are worried about what will happen when he starts on the judging panel for 'The X Factor.' "

Some say L.A.'s penchant for good looks is what led him to drop Lady GaGa from Island Def Jam back in the day.  He allegedly told her, "I don't get you, I don't get your music," and that he didn't think she was good-looking.

Ouch.  We'll we see how that turned out.  Hopefully he will be a better "judge" of talent on "X-Factor" when it starts on Sept. 21.

A rep for L.A. Reid declined comment.

TV FAB: Mary J. Blige Trades Alcohol For Love On VH1's "Behind The Music"

Mary J. Blige aka "The Queen Of Hip Hop Soul" tells the story of her life, which involves molestation, drug abuse and issues with low self-esteem on VH1's “Behind The Music: Mary J. Blige” premiering on Sunday.

On Sunday, July 24th at 10 PM ET/PT on VH1, the network will air “Behind The Music: Mary J. Blige” which tells the uplifting story of the singer's rise from the Schlobohm Projects in Yonkers, NY to music royalty.

Throughout the episode, Mary opens up and get very personal about issues ranging from molestation at the age of 5 to physical abuse in her adult relationships.

Here are some select quotes from the episode:

On her adolescent years

“By the time we moved to Yonkers, to Schlobohm [Projects], it was just, you know, every man for themselves. It was like survive or die. All the women around were being beaten by men, their self esteem was low; these are the women you’re watching every single day. I’ve seen women destroyed, I’ve head their screams thru the walls as a child from being abused by men. And so that really made everything worse. By the time I was a teenager I was crazy.” – Mary J. Blige

 

On being molested as a child

“When I was 5 years old I was molested and just, you know. I remember feeling, literally right before it happened, I just could not believe that this person was going to do this to me.…That thing followed me all my life. The shame of thinking my molestation was my fault. It led me to believe I wasn’t worth anything.” – Mary J. Blige

"Basketball Wife" Evelyn Lozada Headed To "Dancing With The Stars"?

Is "Basketball Wife" Evelyn Lozada trying to climb the reality show ladder to "Dancing With The Stars"?  Word on the internet streets is that she is.  And her fiance' Chad Ocho Cinco Johnson may be going back with her.

TMZ reports Eve is in talks to join the next season of "Dancing With The Stars."  I wonder if folks will start pulling weave and throwing punches and slaps on the dance floor if she joins.

The site reports:

"Dancing" producers love the idea of having Evelyn on the show -- especially since she's engaged to Chad who was a previous contestant.

We're told the show is even hoping to involve Mr. Ochocinco ... since he's now an expert in the ways of the ballroom.

Interesting.  But it doesn't seem like the two are talking about it publicly just yet.  Evelyn tweeted this morning they were talking about cameras and Priuses:

I'm trying to pack and make breakfast & @ochocinco wants to talk to me about his new camera & wanting to buy a Prius. Really?!

Rihanna Rocks Out For LOUD Tour With Jay-Z In Jersey, Named VOGUE ITALIA's Woman Of The Year

On Tuesday night she brought out Kanye West to surprise her Nassau Coliseum crowd on her Long Island stop of the LOUD tour. But last night, Rihanna brought out the head of their Roc Nation trio, Jay-Z. And she was also named VOGUE ITALIA's Woman of the Year.

Nivea 100th Year Anniversary spokeswoman, Rihanna, made one of her last USA stops for her LOUD tour lat night.  She brought the head honcho of Roc Nation, Jay-Z, along to surprise her fans.

On April 23 in Paris, Beyoncé took to the roof of the hotel Le Meurice with Parisian photographer Greg Gex to shoot photos for her new album, 4.  The shoot resulted in the photos used for the standard and deluxe LP covers, as well as a number of interior package shots, plus a few we haven't seen.

In the above pic, Bey rocked a vintage crocodile jacket by Azzedine Alaïa and shoes by Jantaminiau.

And in this never before seen shot:

Bey's rocking a black and gray leafy corset and shoes by Alexander McQueen, a bodysuit by Missoni, and a fur coat by Azzedine Alaïa. Bracelets by Aurélie Bidermann.

 

If you were wondering who she was wearing on both her covers, for the deluxe LP (left), she donned a blue silk beaded dress by Maxime Simoens.  And for the standard, a fox-fur stole by Alexandre Vauthier embellished with Swarovski crystals by the Lesage embroidery house.

And for this jeweled pic only in the deluxe edition booklet, she donned a jewel-encrusted bodysuit and a bustier worn as a crown, all by The Blonds.

Tami Roman Involved In L.A. Car Crash, Tweets About Her "Major Headache"

"Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman was involved in a 3-car collision in L.A. today. Get the deets on the accident inside....

 

Earlier today, "Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman was involved in a car crash, shortly after landing in L.A.

According to TMZ, Tami was picked up by a car service and during her ride, a vehicle slammed into the back of hers. The collision pushed both vehicles into a third car.

Tami tweeted about the accident saying,

"Me & my dude jus landed in LA and got in auto accident. Rear ended by two cars. Thk God no visible injuries-but I have major headache!"
