Mathew Knowles Says He & Beyonce No Longer Speak After Theft Allegations & Firing, Says Roc Nation Is Too Involved

Posted: 15 Jul 2011 05:24 AM PDT

Mathew Knowles is officially speaking out about the theft allegations that he says have caused a severe rift between he and his superstar daughter Beyonce

Get the deets on why Pappy Knowles says industry folks (namely Jay-Z's company Roc Nation) have driven a wedge between he and his first born inside...

While a brand new pic of Beyonce in the studio working on Watch The Throne with her hubby Jay and Kanye just surfaced (above), Mathew Knowles is talking about his split with his eldest daughter.

Pops originally made it seem as though Beyonce firing him as manager was part of a larger business strategy on both their parts.  But now, more details are leaking about the shakeup in the Beyonce brand, which Mat says has caused he and Bey to stop speaking.

Mathew recently filed papers in a Texas court alleging that members of Beyonce's camp, which includes Columbia Records, Live Nation and Roc Nation, have made "negative comments about [him]."

"We absolutely have not taken any money from Beyonce, and all dollars will be accounted for," he told The Associated Press. "In no way have we stole money. Again, this about the people who have made these claims — they have to come into the light."

Mathew says the culprits (Live Nation--who her hubby inked a serious multi-year deal with himself) convinced Beyonce to hire a law firm to audit her finances so they could drive and wedge between him and his daughter and take over her career.

He said Beyonce's current team is a hybrid of her old team and Roc nation's people.  And Live Nation and Roc Nation have the most to gain from taking over her career. He also mentioned that since Beyonce has changed management, her new album has not produced any breakout singles, although it is selling well.  He hints that maybe she is proving the power of radio is not needed to sell a record when you actually have talent.

He stressed to the AP, the reason for his lawsuit is to restore his professional integrity.

SPOTTED: The Braxtons Filming Their Reality Show In Los Angeles *SPOILER ALERT*

Posted: 14 Jul 2011 07:29 PM PDT

The lovely ladies of the Braxton family were recently spotted filming scenes for their hit reality show in Los Angeles.  And we spot a certain someone you may be happy--or mad--to see next season.  See the pics inside...

The Braxton ladies were seen in Beverly Hills yesterday shooting scenes for 'Braxton Family Values' at Cuvee Cafe. Tamar.com was seen walking to the cafe with her sisters.

Towanda, who's rocking a weave I'm actually liking ithis time, was spotted rocking a tight white t-shirt and tight pink leggings that showed off her bod.

Is that you Papa Braxton in the background?  Uh oh.  Looks like he and Evelyn were in the same space again.  And we ALL know what type of ish probably popped off.  Or did the ladies make up with him after last season's disastrous dinner?  Hmmmm...

Trina also rocked a pair of tights as she was seen filming with Towanda and Tamar's husband Vincent.

Mama Braxton, Miss Evelyn, was stuntin' on 'em in her leopard print shirt as she taped her scene.

Traci B. was also seen at the taping.  The only sister missing was Miss Toni who recently struck a bankruptcy deal allowing her to keep her six Grammys.  I hope Traci moves to Cali...poor thing keeps getting left out of ish...

Season 2 kicks off November 8th on WeTV.  AND there will be 19 episodes this go-round.  Woot!

SPORTY FAB: Dwyane Wade's Dance Party+Kobe Kicks It In Asia+Shaq Lands A Sportscaster Gig

Posted: 14 Jul 2011 04:01 PM PDT

Dwyane Wade hosted his charity weekend bash this weekend and thre a dance party.  We've got pics, plus Kobe Bryant kicking it in Korea, and Shaq's new gig, when you read on...

Mr. wade is spending hsis off season living it up all over the globe.  And he just held his 'Party with a Purpose' at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida to raise funds for his All-Star Basketball Camp and Kids 2 Camp Fund.  And, of course, a dance party ensued.

Fun times.  D-Wade love the kids.

Fellow baller Kobe Bryant is spending his off-season going around hosting basketball camps.  And his most recent one was in Korea for middle, high school, and college students:

He rolled into Seoul today for the second leg of his five-city Asian tour.

They went crazy over Kobe upon his arrival.  Kobe held a Q&A session with his fans, answering questions from online and the audience. He talked about his rival, how he stays on top, and shared some of his personal lessons learned from his father.  Plus he gave some reflections on his overall impression with the Korean students.  Nice!

Kobe's frenemy Shaquille O'Neal just landed a job after his recent returement.  The Hall of Famer will be joining Charles Barkely, Chris Webber, and Kenny Smith on TNT's Inside The NBA as a sportscaster.

According to Sports Illustrated, he just inked a multi-year deal to become a permanent member of the studio show hosted by Ernie Johnson, and will be part of the network's playoff and All-Star weekend coverage. He will also occasionally appear on NBA TV and provide content for NBA.com as part of a multi-year deal.

Between Shaq and Charles...there's going to be a lot of jokes (some we'll understand, some we won't) popping off if/when the season starts back up...

New Bride Ameriie Reveals Album Details About "Cymatika Vol. 1"

Posted: 14 Jul 2011 01:53 PM PDT

In a new interview with Billboard.com, Ameriie opens up about what fans can expect from her 5th studio album called Cymatika Vol. 1 and she talks about life as a newlywed. Get the deets inside...

Amerie recently sat down will Billboard.com's "The Juice" blog to talk about how marriage affected her music, her serious deets on her new LP.  Here are some of the highlights:

The Juice: How has marrying Lenny affected you musically?

Ameriie: It hasn't really changed things. We've been together for a long time, a little over seven years. We've always been a team. He's always kind of been my muse. We're so set in terms of a recording process. I always bounce ideas off of him, he always helps me figure out exactly the sound I want.

"In Love & War" was about the gray area between being in love and not. Now that you're a married woman,  is that something you touch upon on "Cymatika Vol. 1"?

This particular album is different as far as the subject matter. I kind of went in a place I didn't go before. Relationships are very important to talk about but I also want to go a little deeper in to what it is that makes us human and what we have in common. Not just only from a romantic aspect, but what it is that makes us tick. I consider myself to be a very spiritual person. I love science, I love quantum physics and metaphysics. I just wanted to put that into my music.

You can figure out how to include anything in music, you just [have] to make sure it sounds good. I don't like to be too preachy, so a lot of the stuff is subliminal or it has such a driving beat so that if you don't want to hear the message, you don't have to. You'll either recognize what it is immediately because you're into the same thing or you want to investigate it further.

What are the core genres of the album?

Trance and electronic. 80's new wave, but not in the sense of the sound, particularly, but more so the song structures themselves. I really wanted to try different things. Even with vocal approach, some of the songs my sister listened to and she didn't even know it was me. I wanted to experiment with androgyny. Some of the ways I was singing, it's kind of androgynous. I felt like, if we strip away who we are on the outside physically including gender… ultimately, we are spirits that have no gender. To me, putting that androgyny into some moments of the songs was able to bring that in. It was a lot of things that I believe, feel, and my outlook on life put into this album, but not just in lyrical ways. It's in the lyrics, it's in the song structure, it's in the vocal approach. I'm really excited about sharing it.

It's a straight trajectory of the "Because I Love It" album which was released in Europe in 2007. In other ways, it's so far down the line it's completely unlike anything I've done.

Which producers are you working with?

Different people, but two I've worked really closely are Andre Harris, of Dre & Vidal but has  branched off to do his own thing. He did probably a majority of [the album]. He and his team really captured what I wanted and what I really wanted to go for with the project. I also worked with Riley Urick who is just an awesome, awesome producer. He creates things from scratch right before your eyes, really quickly.

Will you and Rich Harrison work together?

We spoke about it not too long ago and I think we wanted to do something with this project. I went over it with him, what I was looking for in general, but we didn't go too in depth because he's been working a lot with his artists. I think that would be something a lot of people have been waiting for and something we're ultimately going to do. It's just a matter of when and in what way. We have great energy. We're going to have to have a block of time where we can sit and really create.

Tell us about a few songs from the album.

Ameriie: There's a song called "Run For Cover." It's kind of like a metaphor [for] self suppression. We're suppressing who we really are or our ideas. We're truly not living 100% authentically with ourselves and representing ourselves to the world as who we really are. We're always running. But we're not running from someone else, we're really running from ourselves. Ultimately you'll run out of places to hide because you can never really run from your true self.

There's another song I wrote called "Sodom and G," like Sodom and Gomorrah. The song on the surface is about a broken relationship. It's destroyed. I compare that to the fiery destruction the city of Sodom and Gomorrah [faced]. I used the biblical story as an example as far as looking back that, I'm looking back at everything I left behind. The twist in "Sodom and G" is that, because I'm so into ancient astronaut theory, [I included] the theory that extraterrestrials were here in ancient times and helped build the pyramids. It's also the idea that Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't destroyed by a fire ball, but was actually destroyed by nuclear weapons from extraterrestrials. People might be like, "What?!" but I use a lot of layers when I'm writing; I like to really layer. Its fun for me as an artist and it really allows me to get into it and tell the story I want to tell.

On the last album you collaborated with Trey Songz, Fabolous, and Lil' Wayne. Any collaborations this time around?

I did a Korean version of "Outside Your Body" with Drunken Tiger's  (Korean/American hip-hop group) member, [Tiger] JK and his wife (Tasha Reid). Those are my collaborations. JK is like the Korean Jay-Z. She's (Tasha) also a rapper. They're both amazing. I'm doing a record or two for Tasha's upcoming album. I haven't done it yet, and she's probably going to kill me because I've been running around doing so much.

Ameriie also revealed she will drop a new single called "Firestarter" this summer.
