| Sweet Repeat: Kate Middleton Wears Black and White Posted: 01 Jul 2011 11:05 AM PDT It’s hard to be the most-photographed woman in the world, but Kate Middleton (aka Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) is up to the challenge. One of her best strategies is rocking monochromatic black and white looks, which are striking and can work with almost any accessories. For her first trip to North America, she wore a black and white Erdem dress, which she can wear with any number of things already in her closet. | Recent Indie Movies Like ‘Terri’ and ‘Submarine’ Treat Teen Sex Realistically Posted: 01 Jul 2011 10:16 AM PDT
I thought of that adolescent whim, and the movies that inspired, while looking at recent movies that have portrayed teen sexuality a lot more realistically. What they all have in common is that they’re independent projects, so they don’t need to cram their trailers with nubile teenage girls to sell tickets. Submarine was the first I noticed this change when I saw it about a month ago. The movie’s protagonist, Oliver Tate (Craig Roberts) is obsessed with typical 15-year-old issues: Popularity, his own mortality, and of course sex. His relationship with the sour, mean Jordana (Yasmin Paige) forces him to grow up in a lot of ways, including losing his virginity. He’s so endearingly awkward about it, planning out a romantic dinner on his parents’ bed, lit by “sexy” red lights, and making Jordana think he’s some sort of serial killer. Oliver’s obsession with sex is both emotional and clinical. He’s experiencing first love with Jordana, so of course their lovemaking is super-charged, but he’s also witnessing the slow erosion of his parents’ marriage. He tracks his mother’s whereabouts with her old flame, and even watches with a strange, morbid fascination when she drunkenly climbs into a van with the guy at a beach party. | ‘Teen Mom’ Star Farrah Abraham Admits She Got a Boob Job Posted: 01 Jul 2011 08:35 AM PDT
In this video, Farrah comes across as surprisingly down-to-earth. It appears that she has gotten more comfortable being in front of a camera, and she’s also a more eloquent speaker than she used to be. She admits that viewers will probably be surprised to see her surgery storyline and that she is expecting harsh feedback. | ‘Toddlers & Tiaras’ Star Eden Wood Is Trying to Steal Bieber Fans With Her New Single Posted: 01 Jul 2011 08:03 AM PDT Kiddie pageant star Eden Wood – whose mom/manager Mickie Wood is pushing her daughter into a singing career – is capitalizing on the popularity of Justin Bieber with her new single, “Bieber Fever.” Although Eden’s singing is as terrible and Autotuned as ever, it is a smart move to try and get Bieber fans to listen to Eden’s music. If this 30-second sample is any evidence, though, it’s going to be difficult to get anyone to sit through the whole song.

| In Honor Of ‘Monte Carlo’, Five More Awesome Mistaken Identity Movies Posted: 30 Jun 2011 02:31 PM PDT In Monte Carlo, the new Selena Gomez movie, Miss Gomez plays a young Texan who bears a striking resemblance to a wealthy heiress. When a hotel manager mistakes her for Ms Richie Rich, she and her friends (well, stepsister and friend) decide to go with it; hijinks in designer dresses ensue. Plot sound familiar? Even if you’re not ready to sign on for an hour and half of the Biebette’s European adventure, you’ve probably caught a mistaken identity flick at one time or another. Supermodel Kate Moss and longtime boyfriend Jamie Hince finally tied the knot today at Kate’s estate in the English countryside. John Galliano, the former Dior designer who is currently on trial in France for making anti-Semitic comments, designed the gown especially for Kate. I’m loving the champagne color (not everyone has to stick with white!) and the gold glitter at the bottom. And Jamie looks pretty damn fly, too.
When I was a junior in high school, I contemplated having sex with my boyfriend. Not because I was in love with him, but because I was 17, and 17 was the age in all the high-school movies that girls seemed to be sexually active. Thankfully, I didn’t follow through with it because I realized that movies did not equal real life and that I’d rather wait.
