Madonna Officially Begins Recording Her New Album

Last month we learned from Madonna‘s manager Guy Oseary that she was scheduled to go into the recording studio this month to begin work on her next album. Today, Guy updated his official Twitter profile with the FANTASTIC news that Madonna started recording songs TODAY. It’s official … the next Madonna album is on the way!


Depending on how many songs she wants to lay down, it’s feasible that she might have her album completed and ready for release early next year. I suppose its too much to ask for the album to come out by the end of this year but … who knows. Madonna is ready to get back on the music scene … are you ready for her return?

Free To Do Nothing

Today is Independence Day here in the US and I’m choosing to exercise my right to be free from doing anything. I’m not gonna lie … it’s been a very nice, very relaxing 4 day weekend thus far. Things will be back to normal tomorrow but for today … easy, breezy. A few of our amazing friends have invited us to hang out tonight … so we’ll see how that works out. As far as 4th of Julys go, this year’s been a great one.


I hope all y’all have been having a great weekend … no matter where in the world you are! Woot!!

Prince William & Kate Middleton Hang Out With The Common Canadian Folk

Prince William and Kate Middleton continue their tour of Canada and this weekend spent some time hanging with the common folk at a drop in shelter for young people. Wills played some fooseball while Kate admired the surroundings. Altho the royal pair may have looked out of place, their cherry dispositions seemed to show that they really had a good time.


While many will dismiss this visit to this shelter as nothing more than a photo op, I honestly believe that William and Kate enjoy meeting people and visiting places like this. That said, how amazing would it have been if Willy and Katie had dressed down a bit to blend in better ;) Still … these photos are great, I love these two.

Daniel Radcliffe Reveals A Drinking Problem To British ‘GQ’ Magazine

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is featured in the new issue of British GQ magazine and in excerpts published today from his coverstory interview, Dan reveals a surprising problem with alcohol. According to Dan himself, he was taken with the notion of celebrity and became “reliant” on drinking alcohol to have a good time. Thankfully, Dan has been booze-free since August of last year but he is just now talking about his problem. Click below to read more.

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that he has given up drinking after becoming “reliant” on alcohol. The Harry Potter actor, 21, said that he has not touched a drop of alcohol since August last year, when he realised that he was not suited to the party lifestyle. Daniel said that he began to think that he should be living a “celebrity life” and became “a little bit” complacent while filming the 2009 Potter adventure The Half-Blood Prince. He told GQ: “I became so reliant on (alcohol) to enjoy stuff.” He said: “There were a few years there when I was just so enamoured with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me. “As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time – that doesn’t work for me. I do that very unsuccessfully. I’d just rather sit at home and read, or go out to dinner with someone, or talk to someone I love, or talk to somebody that makes me laugh.” Daniel skipped the after-party for the most recent Potter premiere and went home and “sat and watched the Discovery Channel and had a bowl of Sugar Puffs.” He said of being teetotal: “I’m actually enjoying the fact that I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I’m really pleasant and I’m not fucked up totally all the time.”

Wow … I have to say … I’m really surprised by this revelation. Dan never struck me as the partying type but I suppose we can’t really be shocked that the pressures of fame got to him. I’m really happy to learn that he seems to have his problem under control. Daniel Radcliffe is such an insane talent, it’d be a shame to lose him to something as pointless as alcohol abuse. The full GQ interview has yet to be posted online but this revelation is sure to have people talking until the rest of the interview comes out.

Happy 4th of July, y’all!! In celebration of the birth of the United States of America today, I thought it’d be fun to share one of my fave songs that is also very appropriate for the holiday. Now, Kelis may have released the music video for her single 4th of July (Fireworks) last year but I think it’s deffo worth watching again today … on the 4th of July.


IMHO, Kelis‘s album Fleshtone is one of THE most underrated albums in recent years. I love every single song on the disc … including this one. Even if you’re not American, you can still help all of us yanks celebrate our nation’s independence by dancing your booties around the room to this amazing Kelis track :) Happy 4th!!
