Celebrity Reading List: 15 Celebs Who Have Written Novels Posted: 14 Aug 2011 10:15 AM PDT Things I found out recently include the fact that the sisters Kardashian are making their fiction debut in November with a novel entitled Dollhouse. Says Kim, “”The novel is based on our lives but we’ve added a lot of crazy fictional twists and turns. You’ll have to decide for yourself which story lines are true to life, and which ones we dreamed up.” But Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney are far from the only celebs who have tried their hand at novel-writing. I can’t speak as to how much these shining literary achievements owe to a little thing we call ghostwriting, but some of them aren’t so bad. Others… well, take a look for yourselves! ‘Hugs From Drake’ Is Our New Favorite Tumblr Posted: 14 Aug 2011 08:45 AM PDT We’ve made no secret of our love of Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham here at Crushable; whether acting or rapping, this multi-talented dude can steal our hearts any day. The best part? He’s a total sweetheart, too! Thus was born Hugs from Drake, a Tumblr devoted to (you guessed it) pics of Drake giving out lots and lots of hugs. The Tumblr has only been around for a few days, but it’s already an excellent place to go to get your daily dose of hug-tastic Drake. He’ll hug you whether you’re young: Or old: He’ll hug Rihanna: Related posts: Post from: Crushable |

Creepy Things That Seem Real But Aren’t: This Man Posted: 14 Aug 2011 08:17 AM PDT Creepy Things That Seem Real But Aren't is a series that explores modern urban legends, bringing you a new tale each week. In January of 2006 in New York, a psychiatric patient drew a picture of a face. The face is male, and he has beady eyes, bushy eyebrows, thin lips, and a receding hairline. He looks homely and a little odd, but also amiable and kind. The patient told her psychiatrist that this man has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams, and that he often offers her advice concerning the goings-on of her private life. She swears that she has never met the man before in her life. The portrait remains on the psychiatrist’s desk. Later, another patient spots it and says that the man has often appeared in his dreams, as well. This patient also swears that he has never met the man before in real life. Intrigued by this strange correlation, the psychiatrist sends a copy of the portrait to a handful of colleagues to see what they make of it. Within a few months, these colleagues report back that they, too, have had patients recognize the man and identify him as a regular player in their dreams. Since his first documented appearance in 2006, at least 2,000 people worldwide have claimed to have seen the man in their dreams. Invariable, they all refer to him as THIS MAN. Who is This Man? Perhaps unsurprisingly, no one really knows. There does not appear to be any sort of relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of him. Furthermore, he has never been identified in real life: No living man has ever been recognized as resembling This Man. This is the original 2006 portrait of him: Other renderings have depicted him with a pointier chin: Or with more delicate features: There are variations from drawing to drawing, but they are undeniable all the same man. Posted: 13 Aug 2011 11:45 AM PDT Earlier this week, we shared our favorite overstatements from TLC’s Pippa Middleton special, Crazy About Pippa. It was preceded, by the way, by something called Wild about Prince Harry. Now, the weird thing about these two specials is this: Harry has had a high-profile life filled with enough hijinks and shenanigans to comfortably fill an hour-long fluff piece. Pippa, though? She… kind of hasn’t really done anything other than be Kate’s sister and look nice in a bridesmaid’s dress. My favorite piece of ridiculous, though, was the bit about “unleashing” Pippa on the world. Which just made me think of Liam Neeson bellowing “RELEASE THE KRAKEN!” So here you go, Internet. I whipped up a little something for you: The original 1981 Clash of the Titans kraken with Pippa Middleton’s head shopped onto it. Badly. You’re welcome. Related posts: Post from: Crushable |
