The UNCF brought out some great talent in R&B and black Hollywood last night for their 33rd annual gala. See pics of Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, KeKe Palmer, Estelle, Jill Marie Jones, Tatyana Ali, and more hitting the stage to raise money inside...

 

Last night, the 33rd Annual UNCF An Evening Of Stars gala was held in Pasadena with folks like Erykah Badu helping to raise money for college scholarships. 

Jill Scott looked beautiful as she performed.

Keke Palmer was also on hand to raise money in this cute green and black cocktail dress.
 

Actress Tatyana Ali helped with the presentations.

"The Game" stars Coby Bell and Pooch Hall were also presenters.

"Girlfriends" actress Jill Marie Jones rocked pretty waves and a black cocktail dress.

And Shaun Robinson brightened up the carpet in her hot pink gown.
 

Chocolate drop Lance Gross looked amazing in a white suit.

 

Patti LaBelle graced the stage.

Marsha Ambrosius also performed.

Love Ledisi's voice....but all these ruffles may not have been the best choice.

Anthony Hamilton performed in a plaid blazer.

Musiq Soulchild entertained the audience too.

 
 

Estelle was also there and rocked 2 cute shiny looks for red carpet and performance.  Fab turnout for a great cause.

OH BABY! Bow Wow Out & About With His Baby Girl Shai

There's Baby Shai!  After drama surrounding Bow Wow claiming (and not claiming) to be the father of video chick Joie's baby girl, he's been recently gushing about his love for his new daughter.  And he was spotted out with her for the first time over the weekend.

Bow was spotted at the Malibu Cuntry Mart a few days ago snuggling his baby girl Shai close to him.  He penned an open letter to his fans about his new daughter recently where he finally opened up a bit about the drama.  And he still doesn't like his baby mama Joie.

His mother Teresa also has gushed about his little one.

24-year-old Bow will never look old enough to me to be a dad, but it's an adorable pic nonetheless...

POST-BABY WORKOUT DUO: Cory and Tia Mowry Hardict Go For An Afternoon Jog

Not letting the baby weight get her down, Tia Mowry Hardrict was spotted out jogging with her husband Cory Hardrict. See the pics of the couple working out together inside.....

"The Game" star Tia Mowry Hardrict was spotted jogging through her neighborhood with hubby Cory yesterday.  On her new reality show "Tia & Tamera" last week, she talked to her manager about having to get back in shape in just a few weeks since "the Game" is beginning filming the new season soon.

Tia, who recently gave birth to baby boy Cree, has been discussing her difficult pregnancy on "Tia And Tamera" which airs on the Style Network, Mondays at 9pm.

In a recent interview, Tia shared, "I didn't really have a good pregnancy," Then she added, without elaborating. "It was ... yes. And you'll definitely get to see some of that and that was difficult - trying to be there for my sister but then trying to deal with this whole pregnancy."

You still look good girl!

BRING ON THE OCEAN: Halle Berry's Birthday BEACH BASH!

Halle Berry has been having a good week with friends and family as she celebrated her 45th birthday yesterday.  Come inside to see HB, daughter Nahla, her boo Olivier, and her pals having fun in the Malibu sun...

 

Yesterday, Halle Berry and her daughter Nahla were joined by Olivier Martinez and a few of Halle's friends on the beach in Malibu.  Definitely a relaxing way to spend your b-day.

The beach fun (where Halle got tossed in the water and almost had a bikini top oopsie) caps off a week of lunches, dinners and other birthday outings. 


She rocked a cute coral bikini and colorful cover-up.

 

That little Nahla loves the beach we see.

 

And the paps got a money shot of Halle's bangin' bikini booty.  45 has never looked so good....

PICS & VIDEO: Beyonce Kicks Off SOLD-OUT 4-Nights-Only Concerts At Roseland Ballroom

If you couldn't get tix to one of Beyonce's New York concerts at Roseland ballroom, you're not alone.  The "Best Thing You Never Had" singer kicked off her first of 4 nights of fabness last night to a sold out, standing room only crowd.  And if you weren't one of the many there, we've got pics and video inside....

The stormy NYC weather didn't stop the stans last night.  Bey performed her entire 4 album (and a few of her past hits like "Irreplaceable & "Single Ladies") for the lucky ticket buyers.  And even got some pre-concert words of encouragement from her hubby Jay-Z, who was partying down in Miami last night at LIV to promote Watch The Throne.

Jay told Power 99's Lorenzo Thomas yesterday that Beyonce is "the second coming" of Michael Jackson. *hiding from jungle-like e-fight that's about to pop off because of his statement*  He said the hard work and dedication she puts into her shows makes him want to work harder at his craft.  PEEP THE AUDIO HERE where he starts gushing about his wife around the 9:50 mark.

MOVIE FAB: "The Help" Takes The #2 Spot At The Box Office!

Even though Rise of the Planet Apes is still taking over the Box Office, The Help didn't just come in with no bang.  Viola Davis & Octavia Spencer helped The Help grab the #2 spot raking in millions of dollars.

 

Deets inside....

Apes is still at the #1 spot.  But after its Wednesday opening last week, The Help made a hefty amount of dollars to nab the #2 spot. 

Over the weekend, the tear-jerker movie that tells a story from the point-of-view of the maids of a priviledged white young woman's household in the 50's-60's, made $25.5.  And since its Wednesday opening, a cumulative $35.4.  And they got these numbers even with opening in 1100 LESS theaters than Planet of the Apes.  Fab!

There's already Oscar buzz surrounding the movies' stars, including Viola Davis & Octavia Spencer.

 

And coming in at #3 this weekend was Final Destination 5, starring Angela Bassett's hubby Cortney B. Vance and the Belize-born Arlen Escarpeta.  And it raked in $18.4.

Congrats to the YBFers taking over the big screen this weekend!

 

 

 

Halle's BIRTHDAY Lunch With Olivier's Dad & Nahla + Rihanna Jet-Sets OFF TO Europe

Halle Berry and Nahla had a birthday lunch with her beau Olivier Martinez and his dad yesterday to celebrate Halle's 45th.  See pics of Ms. Berry as well at Rihanna arriving at LAX inside....

 

Celebrating her 45th birthday, Halle Berry had lunch at Mirabelle yesterday with her daughter Nahla, boyfriend Olivier Martinez and his father.  Looks like she's already in good with the boyfriend's parents.  And Olivier's dad seems enamored wth Nahla. Who wouldn't be?


 

And he made sure he kissed Halle on the cheek and walked her to her car.  Such a gentleman!

Nice.

And at LAX,

Jet-setter Rihanna was spotted arriving at the airport yesterday for a flight to Europe.

She wore some comfy slacks, a peach and black striped sweater, and a pair of sneakers for the international flight.  Rih Rih's on her way to perform at the On The Beach festival in Helsinki on Monday.


Then it's off to the Bergen Calling festival in Bergen, Norway on Wednesday before her performance at the V Festival, in the UK, later in the week.
